A night stars can't forget (Private/Flashback)

As she continued to listen in onto his story, she couldn’t help but try to imagine it somewhat herself, simply to try and picture exactly what it was that he went through.

However, as he began to describe the fact of how a fish had pulled him underwater, she couldn’t help but try her best to stifle a laugh back. It was so hard for her to try and keep such held back, that she almost lost the plates she was scooping the dish onto.

“I’m sorry, please keep telling your story, I’ll try not to laugh like that again. Surely such an experience of being beaten by a fish must be traumatic.”, she would tease ever so slight as she lowered the plate onto Beat’s side of the table and the other to her own.

Even as she began to listen more about his experience, about this boy named Rensu. She found it good that Beat was at least making friends like she had hoped. When he mentioned of finding a way to the remnant alliance however, she did feel a sudden burn in her heart.

It was something she knew was going to happen one day, but this child, he seemed too young for this. What child needed to lose their innocence…so soon? What child needed to join a military force like such. She didn’t approve of it, she didn’t like it, but it wasn’t her choice to make.

The choices to make here belonged to Beat, and how they would affect him in the long run, she couldn’t truly say. She was going to miss him without a doubt. She was going to miss seeing the innocent boy he had once been.

“Its funny that you speak of the Remnant Alliance like that, I met a man there that I chatted with, became…I guess friends with? His name was Komatsu, I was trying to become friendlier with the Saiyan under the instruction of Grand Elder Guru. Give them a third chance I suppose.”, she would begin to speak as she looked towards Beat with a smile.

“Beat, don’t lose your innocence there okay? I know joining them is what’s best for you, but don’t lose what make you…you.”, she would begin to say as she looked at him with her bright blue eyes, “

“Just remember, no matter what you hear there, Earth was your home too. Even with the bad there, there is always good that was at home. Both sides have made their wrongs, but the only way to fix it…is to move past them.” , Isabella would only finish her words as she took the first bite, then another, and another.

Until, a sudden rattle rang from outside, a sudden spike in ki, some darker tall cloaked figure charging something and aimed right for where Isabella sat in front of the window, little did she notice as the charging came from behind her back side. What he was charging? Who was to know….

“Heh isn’t that a funny thing then, I was actually training with him myself for a bit, his style is very interesting, though I’m not too sure it fits me that well. Nothing against him though, seem stubborn, but has a good heart to him. He wants his people safe and I understand that, I just wish I could say the same about mine. If the earth people don’t make it off that planet, millennia of knowledge, history, culture would be lost. For all those who worked towards such knowledge…it just wouldn’t feel right to let that all go. No life is worth lost, but for a culture to be lost, that not just lives being lost, but being erased.”,

She would only say as she got wrapped up in her thoughts once again, the casserole being stirred with her use of the fork utensil. She was obviously deeply enthralled into this thought; her senses slow to sense the growing energy behind her. Her mind only growing to Beat’s question over what innocence was exactly. A question that had her smiling purely because…it meant he was curious, it showed that he held a desire to learn, not just a vocal one, but a desire in his heart. A being willing to learn from mistakes, was a being ready to help a broken world.
“That’s the thing really Beat, innocence is hard to describe, for everyone its different, but for you Beat? You’re like a little brother to me, for you, innocence is what make you who you are, how much you care for others, how willing you are to be a good friend, to not look at just the bad of the world but the good as well.”, her words would only just begun as she noticed Beat’s worried look, all she could think of was that maybe she had embarrassed him. “What? I was being serious, you’re like a little brother to me, and soon I might need that more than you can realize.”,

It was only as he rushed towards her that she grasped the situation far too late, it was only when the blast went through her that she realized the gaping hole that was in her chest, even as Beat dived over her and out the window. His tackle successful on the cloaked figure, the cloaked figure’s hood falling off as the red namekian face was revealed, an evil smirk kept on his face as he kept his gaze focused towards where Isabella had been sitting. Even if he had been defeated for now, the one shot he got was worth it to him, he got his target, for what however?

“Hah, looks like the elders were right about her after all, a creature like that you rarely see anymore, one with such a strong version of it as well…she’ll be perfect in the plan to bring him back…”, the namekian would begin to speak in his deep voice as he kept looking towards Isabella, “Look yourself boy and see the creature you tried to defend…”, the namekian would continue to say as Isabella stood out the window, her chest regeneration quite hastily to fill back in the hole. “Beat, I…didn’t know how to show you my own abilities…I’ll explain later, but why is a namekian here…and why does he look so…different?”, she would begin to ask in her own wonder, and of why, why they attacked her?

“That’s the thing I suppose, there isn’t really any way I can say we will find that same feeling on another planet. It definitely won’t feel like home, but hopefully if the other option comes to, we won’t have to do it that way. The namekians did tell me one trick when one of them was helping me a while back. I just hope it doesn’t become our only option left. The cost of it one could consider too high, others deem it worth it, honestly, I still don’t know where I place that option really yet. You may be accepted here Beat, but there’s a reason I don’t live so close to the capital, I’m not accepted there really Beat, I know you know it to, honestly, I’d be lying if I didn’t say it never crossed my mind leaving namek somedays, but that’s the thing really isn’t it. Where would I go? How would I manage to leave in the first place even without some of the scout groups detecting a ship in orbit, a ship of Earthling Engineering at that? It doesn’t take the brightest cookie to know that some of your race are like the earthlings, that some will shoot first over questions. Then it all goes back around, to I don’t want to leave here because I have you, I have Terra, Liari, I do hope to see again, but that doesn’t negate what I say. This place is a home, if it still feels like home, and while it does feel like that, I at least have the nameks here. The nameks are usually nice, though I wish I could talk to the guru more. He just never seems to be around when I go.”, She would’ve began saying before the shooting having taken place.

There was still the issue now however, of the creature that did seek to attack them. His motives or whatever was to be his reasons still a mystery. “Ha…ha…you still don’t realize it do you. We got so lucky with the last one, we thought we found the one that was going to become it, the pure one. It was a shame she disappeared, they could’ve easily been our replacement.”, he would begin to speak as Isabella looked on shocked. Something she remembered with how Liari had been acting before they had vanished. “Beat, it’s Liari, before I met Guru, she visited some ruins, something happened to her and she started growing meaner, more hateful. These people, if their the cause of it…”, She would begin only to have the demonic namekian cut her off.

“Few Majin have regenerative abilities capable of such like you and that girl. Those are the ones we have found fit to resurrect the pure one…you should’ve come along peacefully…this would have ended a lot better for you and your friend.”, he would begin to comment only to stare into Beat’s face, even as he held onto him, he would begin to choke his words out. “You know monkey boy….you should’ve kill me when you had the chance…this isn’t Saiyan business, my two brothers are coming now, and you wont be able to stand up to them…heh…heh.”

Isabella’s focus wasn’t towards the namekian however, even as she sensed two more darker ki signatures approaching she tried to approach Beat, she could feel the rage rising off of him. “Beat, leave them and please calm down, we just have to tell Guru when we get the chance…please…calm down.”

This situation was beginning to get scarier, this lone namekian was strong enough already, and if more were coming. There was safety in numbers. That was one thing she did know for certain, they had to go soon if they wanted to get out of this before trouble was to come. Even as she looked towards Beat, trying to wrap around what it was that was keeping him from going, what it was that was making him stay here and feed this rage that coursed through him. Was it her? Was her being here causing this much rage for him, he always wanted to keep her safe, and vice versa otherwise. Was she triggering his Saiyan instincts.

As Beat told her to run off first, to get a head start, she couldn’t help but grind her teeth hearing his words. “Beat, you better follow, I can’t lose you to them.”, she warned as she would hesitantly begin to start flying off. It tore her apart doing so, and for the moment she slowed herself a bit even, slowing to keep herself from leaving fully just yet as she just watched from a distance in a way, curious to what it was they duo were going to do next. She was supposed to be running and yet here she was, unable to do such a simple thing. She just hoped Beat wouldn’t give in.

Meanwhile the namekian in Beat’s grasp would begin his trickery, he would stretch himself out of Beat’s grasp as he unleashed his full power, reaching a rather frightening, four hundred eighty thousand! “I told you boy, you should have finished me, killed me, but I grow tired of these games you and your little friend play.”, he would begin to say as his brothers would appear behind him. They each held close to the same power level as the namekian who had attacked the duo. Each of them around four hundred eighty thousand, something that would already spell trouble for the Saiyan boy.

“My brothers, this kid is too strong for us, too strong for us to handle them and the majin. We must do the forbidden technique, it is our only way to finish this here.”, he would begin to speak as his brothers gave a slight nod, they each place one arm on the middle one’s shoulders. A bright light would explode from them as they would fuse into one being, a being stronger than the guru even. His power was fearsome in its own right, the fused namekian. “Now here’s how it is going to be kid, you costed my brothers their individuality and now, you and the majin are going to pay for it, even if we have to drag your corpse to prove it!”

His shout would ring loud as the energy blast erupted from his mouth, the power behind it fearsome as it headed right for the Saiyan!

“BEAT! RUN!” Isabella would shout as she retreated back, launching her own ki towards the orb to try and slow it down, even a little bit. Her weights shattering as she launched her full power, but it still wasn’t enough.
