Today was a fine day to train.. Nareli could feel it in her blackened blood, making her giddy with excitement. With glee, she descended from above to land on her feet. Fine day, fine area too. This part of the land was completely flat, or at least nearly, and had a lack of random floaties strung through the air to make it just a tad more difficult to fly. This was the place Nareli had told Rival to meet her at. Today was the the day that the corrupt Kaioshin would get her plans underway, with no more interference from that overly protective Diana to hold her back and tell her to be a 'good girl'. From here on, there would be no more of that 'good girl' nonsense, Nareli was a bad girl! Very bad, more bad in her pinkie than the baddest of the bad had in all their bodies- at least, for all she knew. She hadn't really met any bad guys but that was the point of this entire operation. With Rival's help, Nareli would get to put herself and her beloved children out there. And with Nareli's help, Rival would be able to achieve his own personal goals.. Together, they made a pretty decent team, or so Nareli liked to think. And speaking of beloved children..
The Kai waved her hand open palm'd, creating a thick and bubbling black liquid on the ground just in front of her. Like sharks trying to lunge for seagulls flying low, two entities crept out from the malicious looking goop. Neither held a real, physical shape. They were simply goo creatures that greeted their creator with what could only really be described as 'affection'. No one but Nareli seemed to be able to tell, as it made her smile brightly. Brightly for a Mad Kai, anyway. There were so many things to do, and all the time in the world, it was glorious! Nareli rubbed her palms together, the bright smile on her face taking a darker turn as she chuckled under her breath and then let out a deep sigh. With all this laughing and almost painful smiling, she was going to tucker herself out before Rival even got there. "Right, time to calm down.. To me, my children." She then spoke after recomposing herself before extending her arms. Her two creations hopped up and stuck to her arms, wrapping themselves almost painfully tight around her limbs and then melding with her purple skin turning it into a deep black. This deep black spread across the rest of her, until it had covered her scalp and the bottoms of her feet. After that, her skin regained it's normal coloration and the Kai looked as if she were about to bust out laughing.
"Now to ensure Rival doesn't hold anything back.."
Rival found himself lost in thought trying to comprehend the motives of his mad Kai ally, he recalled back to the past to remember when he was simply and plainly told to meet Nareli at this location without any given reason. Given the indiscernible nature he had grown so used to of his partner, he knew that it was a lost cause trying to pinpoint a reasoning behind Nareli's actions but it did not stop him from trying to do so either way just to shed a bit of anxiety off of his mind. He always did regard his companion as somewhat...okay, very insane, and always held to the possibility that Nareli may at one point turn around and try to rip Rival a new one out of the blue. His goal for that particular situation would be to try and reinforce their alliance through words rather than fists were such a painful event to occur, he found himself fond of the company of someone with such a wild level of power as if even he were to be overpowered by an enemy he would have a fall-back plan. That's what he told himself, at the very least.
He never thought to confide in Nareli about his uneasy thoughts toward her, as doing such would cause an unneeded stress in their already seemingly unsteady partnership and the last thing he wanted to do was attempt to trade blows with a Kai - a mad Kai at that - with a power level that far exceeded his own sensors. These thoughts made him beg the question if he stuck close to Nareli for his own personal goals, for friendship - which seemed very unlikely since he didn't understand such a concept - or more importantly... Out of fear. Fear wasn't an emotion he was familiar with either but he was certain to be able to call it out when it would reveal itself, he had a basic idea of what it was supposed to be, when you feel powerless and consider fleeing. He spotted the Kai and immediately stopped in mid-flight, raising a brow at her odd elated expression that he could spot from a mile away. His thoughts betrayed him as always and he proceeded with caution carrying the wind he flew through. Once at an acceptable distance he lowered himself to the ground and rested a hand on his hip, trying to act casual in the wake of his paranoia. "I'm here. What is your intention?" He asked, his tone lacking the animosity that one would think paired well with his words, rather he spoke in a monotone fashion and tried his best to give off a polite nature to the question he spoke, although he tried his best to hide the paranoia, his furrowed brow and clenched hands betrayed the illusion he attempted to set in.
Giddy with excitement as she was, Nareli wished to be calm for the discussion she had planned. The discussion that came before her other plans, of course. Her brain was a mess of plans and ideas that at first glance appeared as a mess, but upon closer inspection none could deny the genius behind how they seemed to weave together. Somehow, Nareli had shoved the Kai damned square cube in the circular hole. In this particular case, Rival was that square cube. Or so she hoped- she held the android in a very high regard, despite their short time knowing each other. He was the ace in the hole that she needed to be out there and being active, far more active than the so-called good Kai's that she had opposed, self-exiling herself into Hell. When Rival finally appeared, she smiled brightly and began to rock back and forth on her toes.. So much for staying calm. "Today's the day, my dearly beloved android pal!" The mad god chirped, bringing her hands forward and weaving her fingers together, switching from rocking on her toes to bouncing on her heels while adding a giggle to her vague statement. "We're going to make you powerful.. Saiyan tier powerful! Isn't that exciting?" Despite her questioning, she didn't wait for a response, rather, she took a step away from Rival. The smile on her face showing a hint of something sinister stirring within her mess of a brain.
"I can't be too sure what your original creator intended to do with ya.. But I can think of a gazillion better uses, yes. Many, many uses. But you need to be.. improved, upgraded. Dare I say, your model is a little absolute?" The corner of her lip quirked, showing it took a physical resistance for the Kai to not burst out laughing at her own silly robot puns. "We're gonna see just how far you can push yourself, and then improve from there! Like an exam, of sorts.. Just far more tiring than sitting at a desk with pen and paper. Before that, I think you deserve a little explanation." There was no hiding the wickedness in her grin, by this point. The Kai rubbed her palms together like some cartoon villain and then took a deep breath, visibly shaking with the excitement she was trying to contain. "We're gonna make you strong enough to survive in the world of the living, you'll be my eyes and ears in the hunt for a very necessary set of items that the usefulness of such has eluded me until just before the powers that be blessed me with your oh-so convenient presence~. Heh.." Nareli almost purred, unable to contain a quiet giggle. "You won't be alone, of course! You'd be helpless without a group of allies to accompany you, and I've been working on something a little special just for the occasion. Once again, though.. I will find myself very much in need of your skills and presence."
Nareli's smirk spread to a wide grin, teeth bared and eyes shining with the excitement bursting forth from her. She did a little hop and then a wiggle, breathing deeply trying oh so very hard to contain her own excitement. She just couldn't help herself, it was just like winning the lottery! "What would you say to helping me hunt down the Dragon Balls?!" The mad Kai yelled her idea far louder than she had intended. She really needed a chill pill.
Rival simply glared at Nareli as if she were insane, which was most likely true now that he began to think about it, he wasn't outfitted to be able to comprehend the level of insanity that he was beginning to witness here, and he was uncertain if his old master's insanity even shined the smallest light upon the mental instability he witnessed from his new opinion. But one addition that wasn't actually implemented inside of him was the lack of judgment for one's mental condition, therefore he decided to simply ignore it and continue paying attention to Nareli's words. The idea of becoming as powerful as a saiyan was an unnatural thought to him as he heard about the unstoppable power they were capable of as it was preached to him by his old master before said master's timely demise. "My original creator intended me for the destruction of saiyans, although the thought doesn't appeal to me." He pointed out in his traditional monotonous tone, "Also the term is obsolete." He corrected while showing his palm out of instinct, then brought his hands back to his side.
His head started to metaphorically - almost literally - spin with the wave of words that were corrupting his ears like the corruption that Nareli was filled with, as he was so used to peace and quiet at this point that even fathoming speaking more than one or two sentences was something that made him queasy, plus leaving the world of the living clearly wasn't as easy as it was casually mentioned as he had searched for a way out for so long and came up with nothing that he was accustomed to the idea of living in Hell for the rest of his life until he would inevitably power down for good. One thing stuck uneasily to his mind that he couldn't quite figure out through the mass of ideas and plans that he was just given, was the 'Dragon Ball' thing. His memory banks carried no knowledge of a dragon ball aside from a dragon's balls and it made him more confused as to why they would want a dragon's reproductive organs to spur along their plans...or rather her plans. And thus Rival imparted a wise question toward Nareli. "Why do we want a dragon's balls?"
Nareli threw her hands up in the air and scoffed, throwing them back down to her sides in clenched fists as she stamped her foot. "Not an actual dragon's balls, Rival! The Dragon Balls! They grant any wish, and I need my wish granted yesterday!" The kai huffed and puffed and blew the Android down.. Metaphorically, anyway. By some miracle, she calmed herself down to something more manageable- Manageable by Nareli standards, that is, as in not at all. "If you gather up the Dragon Balls and have my wish granted, then I won't have to rely on errand boys to do my work for me. I would be much more useful in fights, too. I can't say much more than that, as much as I would like to. I fear there are more than a few sets of eyes and ears tuned in on what I'm saying to you. Just telling you I want the damned things is probably raising a lot of red flags for the boys higher up in the shitty little Upper Realms." She sneered, her lip curling into something fit for a snarl as she thought about those 'pure' Kaioshin. Thinking themselves to be better than her, 'Just because they have sticks so far up their ass even Rival looks animated, even Saiyans like Nasu know how to have more fun...'
The mad Kai then shook her head. Now was no time to be focusing on grudges. The Kai's were not an enemy worth fighting, they didn't do much for anybody and Nareli doubted they would be an issue or obstacle she would have to consider in her grand plan. Nareli sighed deeply, looking from left to right and fidgeting as if somebody were watching her with a rather uncomfortable glare. Nobody was there, obviously. But paranoia came in the 'Mad Kai Deluxe Premium Package!'. "There's a lotta good we can do out there if I'm able to move freely through out the realm of the living.. That's the most I can feel comfortable saying about my wish at this point in time. But you know what they say about wishes, right? If you reveal them, they'll never come true." From a fidgeting sneer, back to a mad grin, the Kai was back to her usual over excited self. All it took was one of her horrendously bad jokes. "If I could head out there with you, we wouldn't need to train nearly as much. But you're gonna be out there alone and I want for you to be able to contest with the likes of Majins and Saiyans.. So I have to be thorough. Even if you die you just come right back here, but I'd rather avoid that tediousness."
"How does that work?" Rival asked in that same iconic monotonous tone that every android had, trying to figure out how such an item could potentially grant such wishes and how one was supposed to find them. He shook his head after putting himself through an uncomfortable track of thought involving the intricate art of the removal of dragon balls, then decided to go for the assumption that they were some kind of gemstone with an odd name like most others happened to be. However, at the mention of potential eavesdroppers he raised his hands and aimed his palms outwards while darting his gaze back and forth, "Eavesdroppers?" He asked, scanning their area but finding nothing much to his disappointment. He longed for a chance to shed the rust from his metal and get some exercise. Perhaps that was one of the goals of this training exercise, he decided. Intrigued, he decided to humor the Kai in the end.
"Luckily, our goals are one and the same in some elements." He pointed out, a tenuous smile that already brought a slight sore pain to his cheeks, yet he allowed the expression to hold nonetheless, "Walking around freely through out the living, that is." He added while the smile faded away. Personally, he could not understand Nareli's desire to keep her secret withheld not to mention him never hearing the phrase of revealing a secret preventing it from coming true, yet this comment would be kept in his head instead of being voiced as he did not long to switch the subject from current business, "Answer me this." He said, making it sound like more of a command than anything yet that was far from his intended tone even if he could change the tone of his voice, "What are the limits to these...dragon balls?" He asked. Even though his tone was monotonous his curiousity shined like a diamond in the rough. His own ulterior motives being revealed for use of these wish-granting artifacts.
