It felt like she had laid here for hours.
And throughout it all, the thoughts that had came to her, were more like flashes of images. Her body felt as if she was being pulled towards them, though she knew in reality, it remained still. Even so, the things she saw felt so real, as if she was experiencing it all at this moment, rather than viewing the past. Though while her surroundings were clear, the people around were silent, as they moved their mouths. She couldn't hear their voices.
But looking around through the sight of these flashing images, she knew where she was, and what was going on. The Tournament of Power. She and the others had been told of how things have gone for the universe, and the decision of attending the event, if they had wanted to. Though she also remembered how when this information was being told, her eyes had fell on the face of Lord Lagerus, more than any of the others. At the least, before Rin had got her attention.
Ire for their current situation. Thinking about it now, she still couldn't see where all of the concern was. There was a chance their universe could have gotten erased, but what about the other universe, if they had won? And this kind of event was supposed to be normal for them too. Just a rare occurrence.
She remembered thinking about what life there had been like, while Rin had glowed in her arms, like some kind of light. The flashes it made, had gotten a bit too frequent, which only caused her to smile, as she looked elsewhere. Too much worrying for lives that she didn't even know of. But was that really a bad thing? The little looks that she had gotten from it, had said it was, and she did wind up apologizing, when they had been dismissed.
In the end, her decision was to remain behind, while the tournament was going on, though she did wish to possibly have one of the others share their memories of the event with her. The thought of that was what had jolted her out of her state of day dreaming, the waters of this lake suddenly becoming so much more noticeable around her. The skies were also much darker than what it had been earlier, but still enough light for her to see.
To be able to share memories with someone. The mortals were able to do that so often, just by interacting with each other, rather than really give themselves a more clear image of what had went on. It was because they didn't have that kind of ability, she had been told. There was a lot of things they couldn't have really done. But remembering her observations of them from this morning, it was hard to really believe, even knowing it was true.
All of those beings were working so hard, trying to get what they had wanted. And those of her kind who had decided to attend to the tournament, were giving their fighters the kind of support that the mortals were so used to being given, from their own kind. It made her want to do the same, putting forth that kind of effort. She hadn't gotten to do much earlier, finding comfort in just lying around, but there was no real work that she had to really do.
Not until she was capable of being strong enough to go to the mortal realm, and have a taste of what they were like. Something she'd remember while she waited for the sickness of being in their realm, to go away on its own. She was looking forward to it, but for now, it was just being here.
It was easy to pull herself away and out of this lake, but a bit more difficult to get off the kind of beads mixed in with this lake. An issue that caused her to momentarily frown, as she wiped herself off in another body of water that was nearby. It had felt nice being there for so long, but it also did have its troubles. The darkness that was around her, finding there to be too much of it, she had created a ball of light that she remembered seeing the mortals had. The material was made out of this plastic, and shaking it around played a charming tune, while also having it flash like Rin so often did.
She liked this thing. Though lightly feeling it around, she could see why the mortals might have had issues with using this material. If the pieces of this had broke off, instead of being just formed like she had made it, she could see it hurting someone, even if it was minor. Still, she kept it with her as she walked around, this planet holding no noise or signatures that didn't really belong, feeling around. Rin must have gone off to sleep too.
The sense of time around here, she had done her best to match it up with West City, being her favorite spot of observation, but trying to understand it was all new to her. The mortals had certain times where they grew tired, she had remembered studying. So how much different was the energy of a Kai?
She was supposed to have been asleep if she had been in their realm, though couldn't see herself doing so, even if their world was like a sickness, the longer she or the others had stayed there. Choosing to sleep now, when she had already felt so well rested and full of wonder, wouldn't have been good for her. There was one more thing she had wanted to experience for today anyway, and the thought of it was already making her wonder what could be.
It was a strange experience, to feel herself split into two, and power that she was so used to having, feeling as if it had slipped away from her. But it was only a brief feeling, and as the feeling had settled, she found that she was looking at a copy of herself. This technique was something that she had practiced a few times, though never really used it for what she wanted to do right now. This was another part of her, who was separate, but also wasn't.
A lot of the things that she had always read about mortals, through her training on becoming a Supreme Kai, was the idea of an identity crisis. The Bio-Androids as well as Majins had seemed to have this issue as something apart of them, and not learned like Earthlings seemed to. But the same she didn't think could happen to her. At least not yet. The mortals who seemed to have those problems, had also seemed like they had forgotten who they were.
What was there to panic for, being in this kind of position? Taking the hand of her copy, who reached out and made the act easier, they had walked together towards the place that they had called home. Like with wearing haoris, it was more of a traditional building, like what she remembered seeing.
Shoji sliding doors, and the tatami flooring, brought on memories of her studying at Shinjin school. This era had truly seemed so simple, it was a wonder why it was moved on from. The place was dark, and she had to silence her plastic ball of light as she had gone in. There wasn't much furniture to this place, so it was simple to traverse the path on through, even in the dark, and it was after turning to go through another room, were the lights flick on.
The kotatsu in the room was what she was drawn towards, still leading her copy there without any resistance, as they took a seat on the opposite sides of each other. It was the warmth that had came from underneath them, as they sat under it, was what made it truly feel like this was her home.
There was comfort here in ways that even without Rin around, she was sure she could manage to be within her thoughts, without drifting towards some form of sadness. Right now really, sitting across from her copy, as if she really had someone else here with her, she felt inspired. While she had nestled into the kotatsu, her copy had moved on its own with her recognition that it was moving, as its hands hovered over the table, for some more materialization of magic.
It was nothing short but a few seconds, before a construct of West City was formed, in what the mortals would have called a replica of the city. Little pieces representing those who were currently at battle just as well. What made the situation all so much more interesting, were its participants.
They weren't all as spread out as one would have expected for them to be, with only a few individuals that were an exception. Although overall, she knew more of their faces rather than who they all were, but a lot of that knowledge had come from the others, voicing their concerns of the northern galaxy.
Still, she held onto her smile as she gazed around the model landscape, picking up the figure of the mortal outside of the city first. Her copy had grabbed onto the other figure of who must have been a demon, knowing the battle going on, was because their kind had wanted to take over the planet for themselves.
"You don't understand, I have to save this city! Wouldn't you do the same if this was yours?!"
From what she had seen of that male, his appearance was rough looking, but she assumed he was the type who might have a soft enough heart to talk like this. She twisted and twirled the little figure between her fingers, as she held it in front of her, lowering her voice a little to match what he probably sounded like. She wished she could do more than watch their movements, but it wasn't too bad of an idea, trying to come up with her own thoughts as well.
The figure had been set down, after she had finished, which she picked up and made a jumping move towards, remembering what she had last seen the mortal had done. These two were probably going to fight alone for only a few seconds, in the eyes of a speedster, before the demon would get some help.
"And that's where you're wrong. Why do you think we're even fighting? Our situation is also grim, which is why I won't stop until you're dead."
Matching her, the copy had changed her own voice, holding up the opposite figure of her, and gave it some lines as well. The demons did have their own reasons for fighting, though she couldn't remember what they were, or if it was even said, no matter how much she had watched her copy frown for her.
Even so, like her, the copy had placed the figure back down onto the landscape, and made a similar dashing charge. They were left alone off to the side where they had been, before her eyes had drifted to a lone demon, who she remembered had been headed towards these two. It was only one figure, and since her copy already had a turn, she grabbed it like the others. This one was pretty large. So he would probably have a voice that was like this right?
"Damn it, she did it again! She went off on her own."
She only had to really slide the figure a little bit forward, and made it jump a bit. With how fast the Demon had been moving, she assumed that must have been what he was thinking. Her eyes had drifted over next to an Elemi and a young Saiyan together, sharing a smile with her copy as they grabbed one of the two. From what she had seen of the two, the Saiyan had gotten mad at the Elemi for getting in the way, which meant it would probably be something like this.
"Would you stop following me? Seriously, what's wrong with you?!"
"Y-you could have died back there! Don't you realize that?"
It was a quick exchange. More so than the others, if only because she already had an idea on what these two had probably sounded like. Though her figure, being that of the Elemi's, moved much slower, with how the girl's body had seemed to be. Out of all of them so far, these two hadn't really transformed, did they? The girl seemed like she wanted to be of help, more than that boy, who she wasn't sure at all, what he was doing. She had only seen him talk to one of the demons, who had left the area, and whose figure that she was eying right now, which was outside the area of this replica city she had formed.
And right next to the Saiyan who had died, without really putting up a fight. There was the Demon who killed him nearby, but she didn't really want to play with that figurine. Another Demon was also with him, but the only people left that mattered to her, were the four that were flying in the skies.
She had a little cloud hanging in the air with the help of a building, and the four figures were standing ontop of it. Her hand had reached out to grab the figure representing the Demon Queen, while her copy had took the one representing the swordsman. Both good and evil about to clash together.
"Ha! You really think you can defeat me?"
"As long as this city's still standing, I'll do whatever it takes to stop you!"
Both figurines had hopped up and down, but only the one representing the swordsman had actually slid forward to bump into the other one. That had been the last thing she remembered seeing from the two, before deciding to stop observing the mortals. It would be a good fight if it had happened, but her eyes had drifted last towards the two Vampires who were also in the area. One was the queen, and had been charging up an attack for awhile now.
But what power it must have, it didn't seem to be enough to make either of the other two, stop what they were doing. She wished she really knew just what was going on here and this whole city, since it seemed like there was a good chance the place might just end up collapsing in its entirety.
It was hard to really say, knowing she had saved the best for last. The Vampires could have been both good or bad, from what she remembered from her studies, though in a way where those who were powerful, didn't really just fight for one side. And their queen that she had heard about from one of the other Shinjins, she knew was somewhat trying to change the traditional ways of their kind. Change could be good, but she liked traditional things.
The Vampires had held onto their ideas longer than this new queen had even been around for, so even if beings like the Saiyans had changed their ways, it would eventually go back, due to their lifespan. It was what made these beings so different. Their lack of recognition these days also had her interest.
"They don't seem to be paying attention. How long before it's ready?"
"Keep them busy and they won't have a choice but to listen."
Out of all the voices that she and her copy had done, she wondered how accurate these two really were, compared to the others. Vampires apparently had the kind of tone where it depended on what their transformations were, and with how long they lived, it was hard to say how high or low their voices would be.
Still, placing these figurines back down like her copy, she had smiled as she had looked at it. All of these guys on this landscape, but what would have happened, if she would have been able to intervene? The thought of it made her giddy, though not before she had done the work of conjuring up honey tea for the both of them. It was good to be able to use this skill in this kind of way, and not just training. Rin wasn't really interested in tea, and the other Kais were busy. While she also had her fellow Shinjins to do this with, being on this planet of hers, was just a kind of comfort they couldn't give.
The teas were poured into two separate cups, which she took a sip out of, after doing so. Tea was supposed to be hot, but there was a lot of things that the mortals had come up with, that she had made some tweaks to. Something too hot or too cold, she didn't like the idea of at all. But what she was drinking right now, seemed to be perfect. They hadn't really done too much talking, with things being split up between them, though she was still pretty new when it had came to existence. Using split form as well, for as long as she was doing right now, she could feel was doing its job in tiring her out.
The kotatsu they were sitting at, had built up the right amount of warmth too. Just one more thing with this model city, before she could really allow herself to sleep. As a God of Creation, showing up to intervene and help the mortals, was supposed to be enough to end things if she had wanted to.
But at this power of hers, it would have probably end up being something more like this. Rather than a figurine of her own, her hand had moved over to the first pair that they had started out with. If she had decided to teleport here, before any of the others, she could have helped out this boy.
"We could show up here, and split into two, to keep the demon busy. If this boy isn't stubborn and cooperates, then we'd be able to eventually overwhelm her."
"Up until he at least arrives to the scene. Then things would probably be more difficult."
Her fingers had only been placed next to the two, upright like they were walking legs. There were so many things about the mortals that were needed to be known, and while there was a number of them who could be said to be good, they all couldn't just qualify to be given afterlife training. If a Kai could be corrupted, the mortals were even more so, and proved that throughout history. But there were those who still believed they were deserving of their actions.
Why? The Anubians had came to her mind, knowing some had enough ties to pass on the knowledge, as quite a few had the potential to be Gods of Destruction. But those ones were also the sort who interacted with the mortals, and intervening in ways they were not meant to. Maybe even enough to challenge a God of Creation like her. She didn't understand it, but that was the conclusion that she had come up with, from her studies of behavior regarding other beings.
This boy was likely to be stubborn, and someone of the type to try saving the city, even if he had no origins here. Which through watching him fight, was very likely to be true. The two demons within each other's vicinity, could change how difficult things might be, even if her power was split apart.
She wasn't trained within a specific school, which would give them a certain advantage. How often the other Kais had also interacted with them, before her existence came into being, could also prove to be an advantage for herself, since they wouldn't recognize the kind of techniques that she had. Ones which were meant to seal and suppress their power enough, for them to not only be vaporized, but also to be cleansed of their evils as they were sent off.
She could see it all play out in her head, but being a Kai wasn't a guarantee that she would survive, whether or not that boy would have helped. It was a field of battle, and choosing to intervene, even if they wouldn't know of her identity, would lead to her responsibility of these lives.
They weren't supposed to die, if she had chosen to oversee them. The western galaxy might have been where her designation was, but as a guardian, she was meant to do whatever it took to ensure that life would go on. Destruction might have been needed for there to be creation, though it was still a decision.
"It's possible to succeed there, even without that boy's cooperation, but we could have also started over here with these two."
"A nice position to try gauging the situation, though how much help would they have really be?"
Moving onto the next pair with her fingers, another sip of tea had gone down her throat as she listened to her copy. That was true. These two hadn't done much at all, even if they were encouraged to do something, the Saiyan would have likely run off on his own, while the Elemi might have ran after.
It would have been her own concern as well, putting her trust in the girl to watch him over, and they essentially would have just been alone together without those two. Which left only those who were up in the skies, and compared to the rest, more control over where things would have ended up.
Appealing to the Queen of Vampires, and her charging attack, they could possibly end up killing the demons instead. Or at the very least, buy some time for the swordsman, whose Kaioken she recognized marked him as someone who had received afterlife training. That alone would have had her gush in a way that was inappropriate for the situation. There might have been others who had gotten such benefits, but this was one she was actively seeing take action right now.
"And starting here likely would be the most difficult of all. Attacking one of the Vampires would mean seeing her as an enemy, instead of appealing to whatever they were looking for. It would probably be best to attack the demons."
She was leaning over now, resting her chin underneath a hand as her copy had drunk her own brew of tea. They were likely to be attacked by someone either way, and the pain that would come for it, would be greater than what they were able to handle at the moment. But it would help, and they weren't meant to stay in the mortal realm for too long anyway, even if it could have meant their death. Making a change was the kind of thing she could ask for right now.
"Things are never going to be easy for us, but they don't have to be. We just need to do better than our predecessors."
The eyes of her copy had closed, as exhaustion was taking over for the both of them, its body turning into a large wisp as it went back into her body, leaving its own thoughts hanging into the air. They were one and the same, so nothing that had been shared between them was really a surprise.
But it was so much different actually hearing her own thoughts, and their back and forth was easily making her think more than she would have alone. Even as she had lied down, her mind had flashed through images of her days studying at Kai school, and having to mutter to herself to really grasp something.
It wasn't much different now, but was that really a bad thing?

And throughout it all, the thoughts that had came to her, were more like flashes of images. Her body felt as if she was being pulled towards them, though she knew in reality, it remained still. Even so, the things she saw felt so real, as if she was experiencing it all at this moment, rather than viewing the past.
