Backstory:
Born from a poor family, who were foreclosed on Earth and left on the streets, Sigma's parents abandoned her at a young age of 4 which left her to fend for herself on the street amongst thugs and other scum like those. She was eventually picked up by a gang which consisted of 40 members, and with that she was beaten and hurt for about 14 years shaping her character to be a tough and stoic member of the group, due to her potential she rose to the top of the gang and killed the leader of the gang, from there she completely changed the scale and structure of the gang, turning it into an organization of thieves and criminals. This kept up for a while, before a great hero came in and destroyed the base and killed many of the members of the organization, leaving Sigma to fend for herself once more. Against this enemy she didn't stand a chance at all, she was quickly beaten up and then discarded as dead due to the sheer damage that the hero did to her body.
While she laid there ready to die, ready to meet her parents once more. She blinked once, and came across a vial of some experimental liquid she had made and discarded as a failure, the vial fell on her head and broke. When it broke it splashed on her eyes and on her mouth, having her consume the liquid. This changed everything! She stood up, weakly and made her way to safety before the authority came to the most hidden room of her base, where she then escaped.
When she escaped she was rather thrilled, getting away from the cops. Though the feeling of anger she had towards the man who defeated her sparked something. Why doesn't she become strong again? That way even heroes like that had no chance against her, and so she trained, for another 5 years, this time she experienced explosive growth, targetting people who called themselves strong, getting beat up and at the end, having her limits being broken and then she beat them as she was bleeding intensely. This continued for 5 years.
Once she felt that she was at good standing, she was confronted by an alien, and with all of her strength, she came very close to death, losing and then feeling humiliated as her bones were fractured slowly as they made fun of the human race and then left her to die in a desert. Of course, she woke up luckily and made her way to the nearest town...Which was barren, well with the exception of the destroyed buildings, dead people, and as well as the traumatizing look of dead children and elderly.
She swore revenge, but never saw those aliens again after the next few years. Which she started business again in both astrophysics and medicine. After her fortune reached beyond what anyone could even imagine in a rich person she went off to space, searching for a planet with intelligent life, dodging a bullet with the event. While in space, she matured and grew as a person which brings us to today.

Sigma looked across the horizon of the new day that came along. It was a rough one, she hadn't recovered fully from her injuries just yet. She was looking quite pale from the loss of blood, anemia was no easy enemy to fight, as well as hunger and thirst. She had just been beaten to the brink of death, yet once again...death did not have open arms, death rejected her. She didn't wish it was like that sometimes, but it was the only thing keeping her in this world. Maybe just a little more. She might be able to find some fulfillment in her life, this sad, pathetic life of hers, which has only met adversaries and models that she strives to beat and can't when it counts.
Thinking about it...where was she? In a desert? Is this really where she went? Those enemies tried burying her, didn't they? Even with that, there wasn't an ounce of reassurance that she would make it back to the town, but on she went. Going through an odyssey that lasted a few hours as she had made her way through the desert, she was sure that she could make it back to town, knowing this location it was obvious where she was, the nearest town would only be 20 miles away.
As she walked, she could feel the lack of blood, water and food hit her, accordingly she was starting to feel vertigo all around, her vision got blurry and she could feel her throat drying up, as well as her pumped up heart as the viscosity of her blood reached a point where pumping at maximum heart-rate would be the best option as it would at the least let the cardiovascular drift affect her in the most minimal way. Speaking of this, she realized something. She felt stronger, her endurance, and senses were heightened as if she had just gotten through the symptoms of rapid growth. As a consequence, she realized that her body was working diligently to keep things like the medulla oblongata and the basal metabolic rate stable.
Her mind had just calmed down, her sympathetic nervous system had stopped firing adrenaline into her body and she could feel the DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) coming in, her stomach grumbled, her head ached, her blood pressure rose as she realized how far she was from civilization, at this point she was an above average human yet a subpar warrior, lacking the strength mentally and physically to endure another debate of ideas through a fight. She looked across the horizon and spotted a speck on the very corner of her eye.
Turning that direction and making her way towards the possible mirage of the sun, she prayed and hoped that she wasn't going to an illusion by her body to trick itself from going insane. As she inched closer and closed the distance to the speck got larger and larger, turning from a mirage to a silhouette of a city. With overwhelming joy she ran towards the city, hoping to find refuge amongst the folk there.
While one might think of the comforts she would be offered, her mind wandered in another direction as she pondered the next meeting of those aliens she fought. The human race was the strongest...right?
