The sounds of animals and nature, of water in streams and the wind through the foliage. It was a nice change of pace from the mechanical machinations of his home world off in the distant parts of space. These echoed through his ears as he walked in the wooded parts of Sadal. He had made a trip to the capital after encountering a female saiyan, still unimpressed by the species as a whole.
Getting as far away from them as a whole was a nice change of pace after all. This kind of scenery was the real reason he had left his home planet or metal, rock, and magma. The trees and small animal life were what he truly sought.
"I do so love these tiny creatures. I wish the more 'intelligent' species were this adoring."
His mechanical voice rang through the trees as he spied on a bird in the trees and a small rabbit like creature hopping into a nearby bush. Laying down his third leg, he sat there and continued to watch nature, unabated by anny other sentient creature that was around.
The metalman would close his eyes to take in the sounds of the world around him. The sounds of the animals, the wind in the trees and even the harmonious ring of his own body with everything else.
Thread PL: 6,268 Heavyweights Equipped: 1,567 He'd recently arrived on Sadal and as a native of Namek, Octas had seen many strange and wondrous things. This was a planet which actually had night for one and the Saiya-jins weren't anything like he'd expected. He was pleasantly surprised by their power as well, yet he couldn't bring himself to fear for his planet from them. It was a strange feeling to be sure. So he'd almost decided to leave, until he realized that he no longer had a ship.
It'd broken down in the center of this forest he was now in. He'd been living out of the spacepod, salvaging parts out of it to create shelter or even training devices. The training device he'd created was quite an ingenious way of using the parts of the door. The Namekian had set up two wooden logs standing about four feet each, laying the door of his ship across the two logs. Then, he'd use his finger beam to cut and shape the metal, fashioning a set of heavy shoulder pads from the left over parts, which he would drape his black cloaks over. He'd use one of the pins from the ships door and threading from the seat two attach his cloak to the shoulder pads.
Slipping the shoulder pads on, he'd grin and throw a few swift punches at the air. "Excellent...this should help my training immensely..." he'd comment to himself as he practiced a few katas. He'd slowed down immensely, but fighting against the weights made his muscles burn. So he knew they were working, he knew he'd done well.
Suddenly, he'd hear the clang of metal nearby, seeing a flock of blue bird creatures flying up out of a set of nearby trees. The Namekian's antennae would pop up and his ears would perk, eyes would dart in the direction of the sound. Slowly, he'd push his ki downward and head toward it's source where he would come upon the metal man with three legs. He'd tilt his head and call out. "Who goes there? Who are you?"Wc: 353 Twc: 353
Everything was as one would assume nature would be relatively undisturbed. Volta was the only thing in the forest that he knew of beyond these noble creatures. the gentle breeze against his metal exterior was rather soothing to say the least. As the animals went about their ways, their calls echoing through the trees and through Volt'as mind. Were he not so captivated by everything he would have been taking notes where necessary about the plant life and the animals.
Being out here in the woodlands was a nice shift from the consistent signs of civilization that he had seen in the short time he had been on Sadal. It frustrated him how isolated the Saiyans of this planet seemed to be from their companions in the more natural parts of the planet. It was choices like this that made him question the choices of the fleshies, they abused the planets they lived on and didn't take the time to appreciate nature.
The he heard the voice, coming from above. He sighed a little as it became apparent that someone was going to interfere with his time here in the woodlands. Entirely expecting to run into yet another saiyan he took a moment to close his eyes, as the small metal lids rolled over the magma filled pockets. He opened his eyes once more after mentally preparing himself and looked up.
Much to his surprise there was something else... someone else. A species he actually wasn't familiar with, unlike the anubian or the cloaked woman however, this one didn't have mammalian features to the,. they were more along the lines of some sort of plant in coloration. Perhaps he could get along with this one, but then again it could just be another sort of flesh bag.
"Do you fleshies have nothing better to do than bother me? Also you don't look like any other saiyan on this planet. What are you?"
Volta skipped straight tot he point. This being was taking time out of his day and he wanted answers, not chit chat. As he waited for the entity to reply he set his left arm on his hip and watched them. Their verdant skin and padded muscular portions almost contradicted on another. Like this creature was some sort of fusion of plant and man. It baffles the metalman.
Octas stared for the longest time at the Metal Man, intrigued by what he saw. Volta wasn't anything like he'd seen so far here on Namek. The machine seemed to be quite well put together and if he didn't seem to be attacking the Namekian either. Which was good for Octas, who'd donned a set of heavy weight robes just for the sake of training. This had slowed the Namekian down a great bit.
The Namekian would sneer at the attitude he'd received from the Metal Man. "You got some sort of problem with flesh covered creatures, pal? No matter that, what's really confusing is the fact that you automatically assume that I would be a Saiya-Jin. No. I am a Namekian. And if I may ask, what in the name of the Kais are you?"
The tall, muscular Namekian's arms folded his arms across his chest. His lips would curl upwards at the corner of his mouth. He wasn't taking the creature's shit. That condescending attitude struck a nerve with the warrior.Wc: 173 Twc: 526
"A Namekian? I've read about your kind before... What brings you to the home of the Saiyans? Surely your kind is more at home with a planet less ravaged by technology and civil progress.
volta spoke with curiosity. This Namekian was clearly one of the Warrior Clansmen, why would he leave the planet that he swore to protect by his bloodline? Perhaps his intentions were much like Volta's own... to explore and to learn. Either way, the Metalman was taking the moment to study the Namek, his sinew capped bulbs that encapsulated his arms and torso really drew the metalman's eyes. This must have been where the major muscles were on the body, the change in color was perhaps due to greater protection on these capillaries over that of the general muscle on the rest of the body.
However, this namekian seemed a tad different than the descriptions and images he had seen on the general populous, his shoulders seemed more pronounced, particularly with the muscle bulbs on his shoulders, a mutation not seen as pronounced on others of his kind. Either way, he was still a namekian and quite the specimen at that.
Volta stepped back a bit, wanting to avoid angering the Namekian as he did his study of the being, propping his third leg down for support, he took mental notes, not bothering to take his notepad out for this particular instance as the current book was purely dedicated to his time on Sadal and not encounters with beings off of it naturally.
