The night sky, its dark blue reaching across the city scape, she had heard from her friends in the SDF that they might have found a lead to a dealer of the Zenom injector. Even managing to snag on a tracking chip before he got away. She wasn’t there for the tagging, but that didn’t stop her from ‘borrowing’ the tracker to go find this man. The rain was heavy as was outside, she loved the rain for when it blocked the sun. It allowed her…to see better, to not have her vision disturbed by the sunlight that commonly grew brighter the longer it was out. Making her even more of an outcast when she stood around those unfamiliar to her, to her nearly extinct species. When you stood out so vastly to the other races in the universe, it was hard for those in the marketplace not to take notice of her, most merchant recognized her not out of respect for how new she was, but merely the uniqueness of how few like her there were in this universe, especially with her genetic condition.
As she stepped out the doors of HQ she could feel the timid droplets of water as they felt on her thick but short fur. The cool refreshing feeling of water against the skin underneath. Her eyes a visible red in the growing darkness of night. Her white fur such a mismatch against the night sky, but that was okay. She wanted to be seen, she wanted the dealer to remember her name. This Umbrawn Virus hadn’t grown as large in proportions yet on sadal, but to say it wasn’t growing? An understatement. It was a virus that made the worst of people, it took people away from those who cared for them and for that, she could help but feel the clear liquid that seeped from her eyes into her fur. A quick swipe of a paw was all she would have time for to rid of them.
It was simple to track the signal, even with how suppressed she was keeping her true strength. Her sash did great for the weighting it did provided she kept herself suppressed along with it. As she jumped from building to building with her ki control she would begin to approach the signal to its source, right in the middle of a deal it seemed even. She could feel her very blood boiling as she witnessed the Umbrawn transfer the injector to some unkempt looking saiyan. ‘Preying on the despertate..how pathetic.’, she would keep to her thoughts as she watched the exchange. She felt this anger inside of her, she could feel her very blood boiling as she watched. ‘This planet will end up like the Ocyrians did and then…her sacrifice would be for nothing…for nothing!’, her thoughts would only continue to boil as she would react without thought, leaping down from the rooftop as she pushed the saiyan back, shattering the umbrawn injector and it contents into the ground below, ruining its contents. Her movements still swift without thought as she grabbed the umbrawn by his neck, holding him up and yet slamming him unknowingly into the wall. His form making an indent into such as she could hear bones break. The dealer could only look emotionless, like the husk he was. “Who gave you this! WHERE IS THE SOURCE COMING FROM!”. She would scream into his mind with telepathy. Even with how emotionless they were, even with how they were sentient separate from the being that once was, she knew some still held some desire to live. Shortly with such he began to talk, only being able to mutter soft words as he was unable to receive full breath of air under her hold, still hollow and emotionless in his voice however. “He will guide us, he…the Ocyrians…”
The rain pattered against the hull of her spaceship. This had been the first time it had rained since she had gotten to this planet. Demalia was sitting down behind the cockpit of her ship, typing away on her laptop. A bunch of notes and numbers were full on display. A frown was etched across her face as she worked away.
<Ugh, it's no good. I’m getting nowhere with all of this! I’ve never seen anything this complicated in my life!>
The rain pattered against the glass of the cockpit, which was a calming sound for the hybrid. Even with that going for her, she still couldn’t make any progress on the Umbrawn virus. There didn't seem to be any know cure for it, as far as Demalia could tell. It would take months of research with all her equipment to email any kind of headway. What was even harder to deal with was finding out where the Zenom injectors came from in the first place.
<How do I go about tracking them down? I’ve searched everywhere for that Saiyan and yet no one seems to have even heard of the guy.>
Demalia had spent a fair portion of her free time trying to locate the Saiyan and anyone connected to the Umbrawn. Her searches had turned out nothing though. She discovered fairly quickly that tracking down people in the black market wasn’t her forte.
<Maybe I should just leave that part to Rutaba and the rest of the SDF. I'm more suited to engineering and chemistry than I am for field work of that manner.>
Demalia let out a sigh, closing her laptop and getting up from her chair. She walked into the main area of her ship, raising her arms above her head. She figured she had done enough work for the night. So she was going to read a book to wind down before heading off to bed. She didn’t want to exhaust herself after all.
Suddenly her scouter beeped in her pocket. Demalia hurriedly took it out and put it on. It was picking up a few strong power levels. She wondered if it was worth investigating this late. Her curiosity always got the better of her more often than not. Putting on a raincoat she made her way outside, closing the hatch to her ship before heading out to the power readings.
It didn't take too long for Demalia to find the source of the energy readings. She stopped cold at the scene before her, the rain falling down against her raincoat. There was Rose, choking someone against a wall. Judging by the dent, she had slammed the guy violently against it. Nearby there was a Saiyan on the ground. He was alive, since she was getting a reading from him. Still, Demalia felt her anger rising within her.
”WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL HIM?!”
Demalia shrieked, glaring over at Rose furiously. She couldn’t sense power levels, so she had no way of feeling the aura emanating from the Umbrawn. From her perspective, Rose was violently attacking innocent people. Demalia already not being the most fond of Rose didn't help the situation. Hopefully the Anubian could diffuse Demalia’s anger and explain herself. Demalia’s fury was not to trifled with.
The rain howled, in the darkness of the night as the normally busy streets remained without its usual bustle whether due to the unfortunate weather or simply due to the time. Normally, the Saiyan would keep to a certain schedule in regards to her training regime and would likely be asleep at this time however this was one of those moments where she didn’t have such a luxury of having a schedule. It was a rather rough recently with the new virus that has been taken to the streets and as you could expect the force was working like mad in order to attempt to suss out the cause. Mint didn’t know the full details of the virus as she was too down the chain to be informed of matters that was kept hushed to sate fear. What she did know that people used it as some kind of drug and as all drugs, had dealers delivering it to certain people. Due to the lack of man force she was reassigned to watch the streets as apparently they were planning to tackle and capture the man along with any people that may be working with him.
Although the weather wasn’t pleasant, fortunately her father’s green military-like jacket gave her warmth being worn over her uniform for the force. It allowed for her to be more focused and more attentive to her surrounding as she scouted the streets in the early hours of the night. There wasn’t anything strange, there were people but that was quite normal as people alike her had business to take care of even in these hours of darkness. Honestly, she wasn’t expecting to for anything to occur, Sadal was more or less peaceful most of the time apart from this surfacing virus. So it struck her by complete surprise when she heard the sound of a feminine and vaguely familiar scream that made its way known through the echoes of the pitter-patter all around her.
Her senses heightened, turning her head to the direction of the sound as she heard it, before after a brief second to register it in her brain before taking off. As it was so sudden, she didn’t get the time to hear what was screamed fully but the word ‘kill’ seemed like prominent. Was someone being assaulted? Will she make it in time before that happens? Within seconds thoughts like this clouded her head, as she made her way there. Once she was there, there was a sight of four figures. The saiyan may have recognized one of them, if her attention wasn't directed to the two that were close together. A animal-like person holding up a man against a dented wall by the neck. She couldn’t make out distinctive features due to the fact that it was so fast and the weather and time caused details to be disfigured by the rain, but if there was one thing that stuck out it would be the strikingly sharp coloured hues of the assailant.
Should she call for back-up? No, there wasn’t enough time and giving the man looked quite bad there was only a matter of seconds to act. The Saiyan had to do something and quick, without risking the life of the man there and anyone else that were near meaning she also had to stick to something physical in order to do so.
Her movements were quick but perhaps not precise; she didn’t have time to plan before executing after all as the situation visually seemed quite dire. She dashed towards the two, in the cloak of rain before stopping right before them. Her hands would reach, in an attempt to grab the both the assailant wrists, tightening her strength around them warranted that this all was successful before pushing her away. All this was done as a means for the assailant to relinquish her grip on the man and cause distance between them. He would likely fall to the wet floor, but considering the situation, his comfort was the last thing on her mind. “What on earth do you think you’re doing!?” She would shout, whether he actions were successful or not, with her own anger vivid on her facial features.
wc : 703 / twc : 703 - Mint ran towards Rose & Mr Umbrawn, grabbed her wrist attempting to stop her from neckhold then push her away. (doesn't count as a basic attack since i'm not trying to harm, but you can dodge or block if you want.) (also first "attack" post, so tell me if I did anything wrong or missed something out)
Even as she held the man in a death grip, keeping him from charging, from running, from doing anything. The danger that was in this town from this virus, it wasn’t safe. Whatever it was to cause what would happen next, she had no idea who to blame for it. The distraction that was a sudden shout from Demalia, the force of one trying to free her arm, or even the rain causing her grip to slip.
‘No, if he gets free, he’ll spread the virus…those fools!’, her thoughts would only continue to embrace as she did everything she could to hold her grip only for it to slip.
The infected saiyan would only continue to smile as he slipped now with his inch of freedom into the shadows, only to reappear a short distance away deeper in the alley. His laugh hollow, emotionless, and yet that single feeling gave Rosé more fear than she had felt for a long long time. His power would only begin to grow as a dark tendril slipped into his pocket.
“NO, You fools! Demalia! He’s a dealer of the virus! HES INFECTED!”, She would screech out, her first words spoken out loud in so long. A mere representation of how serious this event was to be. The words seemingly ringing out loudly as if the world just stopped for one moment.
With quick haste the male umbrawn revealed the item the tendril had pulled out, an injector filled with the umbrawn virus, and jabbed it into the vein of his arm. As the virus left the container and entered the infected bloodstream, the shadows began to seemingly course down his arm as his veins turned black.
His power only continued to grow as it shot upwards, and sending a large shockwave seemingly shattering the windows in an area around them. Those who could sense his ki could sense how massive it was now, his eyes gaining a ferocious, wild look to them. The man was no longer there, only an animal, a husk.
Rosé could only stare shell-shocked at the power she could sense from this foe, the fact of this virus giving one person so much strength was terrifying, and in many ways deadly.
‘He’s so strong, his power makes me tremble just being this close, if I didn’t have my weights on, I could maybe beat him at full power, but even then…I’m unsure if he has anymore surprises.’, Rosé would have her thoughts play out in her head as she stared towards the two next to her, whether they were to like it or not, they were all the only ones to make sure this infection didn’t spread out to the streets pass this alley way.
She would begin to rise into her stance as she felt the energy coursing through her veins as she released more of her power, approximately six percent of her power to be exact, as she would charge towards the figure determined to ensure he didn’t leave this alley way.
“We have to make sure he doesn’t leave, who knows how many others he could hurt if he gets out of this alley way. We have to stop him now!”, she would telepathically speak towards the two now behind her. This situation was going to get dicey, and if they really wanted to win, they were all going to have to work together.
It was but a swift chop that Rose became the first to launch an attack, her swipe attempting to slice at the man, alone maybe she wouldn’t be strong enough, but if one were to combine with her charge at them, just maybe they could do some real damage.
WC: 652 Rosé attempts to launch a melee attack at the Unnamed Umbrawn for 1,504 PL!

Another power reading beeped on her scouter. Then suddenly a very familiar figure rushed past her, engaging Rose and trying to separate her from the person who they were assaulting. Mint had arrived on the scene. Demalia was glad to see her friend here. She didn’t want to have to handle this all on her own. Demalia cupped her hand over her mouth, raising her voice so that Mint could hear her over the wind.
“Mint, be careful! That person you're dealing with is extremely strong! I’ll help you if I have to!”
Demalia’s blood ran cold as Rose’s words reverberated in her ears. She sounded so desperate and frantic, so she couldn’t be making this up. Then all hell broke loose. The Umbrawn injected something into his arm, and his power just skyrocketed. Demalia paled at the reading. <Over 150 000?! I knew that the virus made you more powerful, but this is more than I imagined it would be.>
Demalia immediately unleashed her power, taking out a capsule and opening it. Her trusty shotgun appeared in the air. She caught it as it fell, aiming down the sights at the Umbrawn. <I could quickly best it if I took off my weights. If I did though, then I’ll never be looked at the same way again.>
Demalia was scared to unleash her full power. If she revealed how strong she was, it could potentially have devastating consequences. Plus she could barely control thr full energy that she had. So the Tuffle hybrid charged energy into her gun, preparing to fire a blast that would incapacitate it. She hoped that Mint and Rose didn't get hurt too badly during the.
