MinT Saiyan/Tuffle Hybrid [Saiyan Dominant]
|
Personality
Mint is a reliable big sister kind of individual as described by others, always seeming to have a whimsical optimistic smile upon her face as if to cast aside the tragedies that lie in her past. But if there’s one thing that she cannot run away from, it is the fact that she is somewhat obsessed in being strong, as being in a position where she seems weak often opens mental scars that she’s incapable of dealing with though this is more shown in a battle than in other aspects. It is due to this if she is not sleeping or eating, you will normally find her in some kind of training routine if not overworking herself as a SDF member protecting her planet and sometimes being sent away into space to deal with some kind of problem caused by the nefarious sorts. The woman is a good-willed person, always willing to hand up help to others and isn’t the kind of person whom would ignore the cries of children. She’ll be the one to attempt to boost the morale of others if a situation seems bleak and at times she’ll try to be that person that you’ll rely on but these acts are also as a way for her to feel more confident about her own abilities.
In the midst of combat, she is described to be more of a demon, her obsessed demeanour would start showing as she’s the type of person whom would fight to her fullest to win, not accepting a loss so easily. Mint is completely aggressive, however has been more tactical and aware of her allies as of recently due to maturity. Outside of that, while she may act a like able girl she’s actually rather useless in pretty much anything having dedicated most of her time to fighting or learning how to fight. But she does have a knack for tickering with machinery after having some of her equipment blow up in her face a few times, maybe unbeknownst to her it was a trait that she had developed from her Half-Tuffle mother, not that that knowledge has been known to her with the short time she’s been with her biological parents. While Mint would do anything not to show her lack of abilities, even if it meant deceiving others with tricks and misdirection, she fully well knows of her uselessness in these aspects and it’s quite the touchy subject for her.

Appearance
Mint is a slightly muscular female Hybrid, being one without a tail due to the different genetics that reside in Saiyans of universe 6 and slightly on the short height of the spectrum as a result of her Tuffle genetics. She’s a little plump in terms of weight, but mostly muscular in a similar aspect to a trained athlete. Her fair skin is almost littered with faded scars that mostly originate from her childhood brawls that she was forced into as a result of the S.K.Y.E project, but as scars aren’t uncommon for Saiyans it’s not seen as an odd feature. Brunette shoulder length hair, normally done as a bob at the back with two long bangs at the front along with brown round eyes and thick short brown brows. Usually, when at work she’ll have her hair in a pony-tail tied by a band of some sorts in order to not let it get in the way of combat in case things were to spiral in that direction.
Commonly she’s the type of person to wear free-kind of clothing that allows her to move well, this would normally consist of a shirt and some kind of shorts. But when her work demands her to be there she’ll be wearing the standard attire meant for a Sadal defence member, a black suit that covers as much as a shirt and shorts would, with light silver plaiting protecting her chest, with a brown underpiece. A black armband, shoes and belt also go with this, complementing the outfit and keeping everything in place. On top, she wears a green coat gifted to her by Chife and had belonged to her father, something he would always wear when on the job.

Backstory
“Your mother and father had discarded you and we’re the ones that are going to take care of you” they said. “You’ll become a wondrous member of society and better the future of others including you.” They told us, knowing full well that their words were lies. We, were just mere disposable kids found on the streets and slums of many planets, snatched away by this organization- this cult for the sake of something that was known as the “S.K.Y.E Project”. I, and my twin brother were one of the many kids forced into this perilous situation against our will without a clue where were or why exactly we were here. The living conditions were terrible; it was a situation where we needed to fight for what we needed. We had to fight to sleep, to fight to eat. Many died of starvation before they had a chance to die from the drugs that they were pouring into our veins. I can’t deny, even I had to kill another kid in order to still be living today and I don’t regret that decision even now, only the strong survived and the weak were the ones to perish. It was just unfortunate that my brother was one of the weak ones and even more so that I was too weak to protect him either. Perhaps that was my punishment for the crimes I committed in that hell.
Mint was born into what seemed like an average Saiyan Household to anyone else, at the same time as her non-identical twin brother. Her father was a Saiyan, a member of the SDF, a group that protected Sadal and other planets along with with. Her mother was a woman whose background was shrouded in mysteries, other than the fact that she was a traveller. Unbeknownst to her kids having never gotten a chance to tell them; while she was a Saiyan she also had some Tuffle blood within her. The family however wasn’t quite an happy one, arguments often occurred between her mother and father whenever they were together as their love for one and another had been jaded as of recently. Mint was an protective young sister and her brother was more of the type to easily feel saddened by stuff such as listening to their parents argue so whenever an argument would ensue between the adults the kids would stray away from home not wanting to be caught in the middle of it. But their habits led to them being a prime victim of kidnappers whom were looking for healthy children of the Saiyan race knowing full well of their capabilities when it came to fighting when they were order and with a futile scuffle for the kids, they were eventually snatched up and whisked away possibly half-way across space into a desolate planet with buildings akin to prisons. It was there where Mint and her brother were locked away along with a high number of other kids of many other racial backgrounds.
It was a location that was ran by a nefarious organization looking to utilize kids as perfect soldiers for mercenaries, with the goal of raiding planets and ultimately having dominance over space. This was known as the S.K.Y.E project, which would ultimately have the kids pitted against each other while pouring drugs into their body at a near daily basis. Those that showed progress would be brainwashed into being completely loyal to their cause while the rest would simply be discarded as used as tools to make the other children stronger. Mint was a unwilling participant in this project for a year, witnessing many gruesome acts conducted by others and succumbing to the same choices herself out of a willingness to survive. While she had a beacon of hope, her brother in the place that everyone here called hell, he ultimately couldn’t survive being too weak willed to fight for the sake of living and was killed when refusing to fight his opponent. His death ingrained a deep sensation of fear in Mint’s brain, an obsession not to be weak in order to not be disposed of like her brother was and that remains to be something that she carries on with her to this present day.
Ultimately the project came to an abrupt close when member of the sadal army caught wind of the fact that children were being kidnapped to this location after having captured a few of their members. Staging a delivery of kids, they caught the members of the organization that was there off-guard and defeated them. Children that managed to survive the torment was set free, sent back to their families if there were still any left and if not sent to a foster home. As any would expect most of these kids weren’t in the right mind, some of them even gone through the brainwashing process. It was a fortunate that Mint was one of the few whom hasn’t, but that didn’t mean that her wounds and flesh memories of the last year was something that would easily go away. And when she went home, it seemed that her father had got himself killed on the line of duty- whether it was due to depression of his relationship with his wife along with his kids being missing got to him, it was unknown. The location of her mother was also a mystery, as it was said she split up with Mint father soon after the disappearance of their kids.
Her care was taken up by a former close comrade and superior of her father, a man by the name of Chife. His reasoning for doing so was that he made a promise to the daughter's father whilst he was alive and felt that his death was partially his fault by giving his men the wrong order. Mint didn’t know him, as such she was quite cautious- perhaps sometimes aggressive to the man in attitude, but with time she eventually warmed up to him. A week after being pretty much adopted, Chife and her visited the grave of her father and also made one for her deceased brother beside it. It was an emotional time for her, but she refused to show even a single frown or tear. While that may of seen as an act of strength, it wasn’t as still she was afraid of showcasing her weak side would lead to her death, even when mourning the loss of her sibling. When situated with other kids, Mint would often showcase violent behaviour and often try to establish dominance, often leading to her being scolded by Chife who wasn’t that much experienced with dealing with kids so the situation was almost always a loop. This was when he stopped treating her more like a kid and more like a recruit and utilized training as a means to sort out her behaviour. Surprising enough, that method worked out as Mint’s attitude and behaviour started to show signs of calmness and maturity.
Through training with the girl, he saw that she was a natural at fighting. Whether this was influenced by how she was treated in the past or not, he figured with the right amount of guidance she could become a strong warrior. The question was whether he should allow her to pursue this path. Given that she still was getting over what had happened to her brother and her, it did seem like a bad idea to have her life once again focused on becoming a fighter. But Mint had a spark of life when engaged in combat, one that she rarely shows at a daily basis that makes her seem more animated than usual. Chife settled with letting her decide, asking her what she wanted to do, after a day of thinking she said that she wanted to take the road that both Chife and her father had done and utilize her skills for the greater good of Sadal. It just felt right to her, in a way it would mean that the deaths of all the children and her brother weren’t in vain as it allowed her to grow stronger and protect the lives of others. At least, it felt as a means of her honouring their memories. Surprised by the rather grown-up answer presented by the kid, he started kicking up the severity of their training as Mint had her sights set on a goal.
As the years passed, her growth as a person and as a fighter increased, till she was eventually placed as a recruit of the sadal defense force upon her late teens. No one could argue with her abilities, especially with the training of a veteran ingrained within her but she still wasn’t the most agreeable of sorts and quite a cocky little rookie in terms of how she treated her superiors. Often a scene turned ugly, she would often rush in and talk with her fists rather than listen to the orders that were sent to her, while it did usually succeed there was an occasion where it didn’t and a person working with her got severely injured. Chife made sure to scold her for her actions, attempting to make her realize the gravity of the job. A single false move and people can die. Mint took what occurred rather personally, utilizing it to mould her as a person. The once uncooperative woman had turned into a person that was reliable and listened to orders, this in turn caused others to treat her with respect and view her in a positive light. As the years went into adulthood, Mint was quite the cheerful and charitable person if one had to summarize her in a two words. But still, if she did manage to be thrown into a fight one would see that she still appears to showcase herself as someone without weaknesses and has been known as "Thunderbird" to those whom have faced her. But only time will tell if this side of her will eventually be her downfall or salvation.
