Anzu, the Blue Beast.

Personality

• Loyal: Anzu Suika is the eldest member of the Suika clan/pack, as such he holds the weight of protecting his clan on his shoulders. Anzu is loyal to his family, that's as far as his honor goes, he will do anything to protect them.
  
  
• Confidant: His confidence stems from being the most competent to lead his clan. Knowing that if he shows any doubt that his pack will have power struggle for a leader. This would lead to death of family members something he couldn't bear to watch again.
  
  
• Bold: He is bold believing that their clan will rise to become the strongest in existence. He employs this in  his tactics typically using the majority of his family for safe positions taking the more risk averse positions for himself and Sawa.
  
  
• Xenophobic: After losing the majority of his clan in front of his eyes, Anzu is more than cautious when it comes to non-pack members. While this won't stop him from interacting with others he will be hesitant to make any deals and even more hesitant to trust outsiders.
  
  
• Supportive/Empathetic: As clan leader he tries to be there for everyone in the family, trying to fill in for the lost parental figures. This goes further than just teaching he understands that having someone to talk too is equally important and checks on his clan emotional welfare whenever he has free time. 
  
  
• Spiritual: Believing that ultimately everything in the universe returns to nature Anzu worships it. He will say rites and prayers before doing anything that hurts nature around him. This extends to eccentric rituals whenever certain accomplishments by the clan are reached and of course funeral rites. He firmly believes that the rituals themselves bring a community unity, he doesn't have anyone else participate unless they ask. Otherwise its just a feast most of the time for the other members of the pack. 
  
  
• Conceited: If you haven't caught on by the other traits above Anzu is very full of himself. At first it was fake but you know what they say fake it until you make it. After 8 years the pretending merged into his own persona and now  he is full of himself. Sometimes he overestimates his abilities to others but he's still alive thanks to his pack.
  
  
• Lively: He is an active person using his energetic nature in all aspects of his life. Even when he is writing his auto-biography he is often moving a leg to some tune or just tapping to help still his mind.

 

Backstory

The Suika pack was not one of renown, growing up his life was average. All of the young roam around pretty freely, while Anzu gained a reputation as a fighter at a young age. This was mostly because of his brother Sawa who was a hybrid. While the pack readily accepted hybrids as was the custom it had been a long while since the Suika clan had seen one. So their was rampant bullying, granted some would say that the Anzu & Sawa were the real bullies by the end of the fights. This wouldn't hamper Anzu's social status in fact some would say it was his claim to fame. Since so many of the young had already lost to the pair as they grew up they emerged as the strongest of the clan in their age group. Anzu was always known as the cooler head in battle while Sawa was much more aggressive with his tactics. Together they would form versatile duo enabling each other. Though with the fact his brother was a hybrid Anzu did question whether people just agreed with him because he was pure-blooded.

Battle wasn't the only thing that influenced Anzu; at the age of five Anzu found himself lost from the pack for 2 days. It was in that first day that he learned his love for nature the true driving force of the universe. It started with him bawling looking for his brother he had challenged him to a race then tumbled off a hill in his brash excitement. After he licked his wounds clean after picking out rocks and branches that had embedded in his skin. He'd cry for a good minute before realizing there was no way anyone could reach him. In fact he was rather surprised he had lived through the fall, he had no choice but to move forward and try to catch his pack. He found berries and managed to catch a couple frogs. He could only really catch the older frogs and he was thankful that there didn't seem to be predators. The forest was a beautiful place and Anzu felt the need to travel with his pack to more meaningful places. Though he'd regret that thought later once he was leader; later in the day Anzu would find a cave to weather the night. It wasn't until after he was sleeping that he heard the noise. At first he thought it was weather but then it got louder the growling. He didn't know what exactly was in the cave but he never ran faster in his life, high on adrenaline and fear. He didn't know when exactly he stopped but he was so tired, he found a rock that would give shade from the sun and passed out. When he woke up he was covered in bugs, he started to eat as many as he could for breakfast. Roaming through a forest he finally made it back onto plains, he swore he could make his pack out on the horizon. He would march as fast as he could in that direction hoping to somehow out pace the pack. As night fell he would slow down and realize his mistake. Out at  night the light of his pack was clear he had been traveling the wrong way. If he had moved any faster they would of probably been out of sight. Stomach grumbling Anzu would eventually fall asleep. In the morning he'd move out towards his pack eventually meeting Sawa halfway who helped him make it back. 

Next to that, the biggest moment in Anzu's life was when he was 16.  Anzu and Sawa were both old enough to enter their first battle but their father had denied them the right. In their anger Anzu and Sawa creped to the edge of the battlefield. It was a typical clan dispute the Suika wanted to claim part of this clan's territory. It wasn't until they arrived at the scene did they see the real problem. The banners of the strongest mercenaries the Gyangu No Kitsune flew on the enemy side and it wasn't a very long battle. They tore through the Suika pack killing every single person who participated in the battle. Anzu and Sawa would watch in horror seeing their power knowing what they would have to face in the future.Knowing they stood no chance Anzu dragged Sawa back to their camp where he spread the news quickly gathering what they could. Anzu would take leadership of the pack and they would flee far away from the territory. That was 8 years ago and Anzu plans to train his pack up until they can get revenge for their families death.
