Everyone's favorite grump-tastic Elemi mutt finally arrived to planet Namek. She had taken her sweet time in the month long trip between Earth and Namek, taking advantage of the isolation to do more willpower and mental training, getting some of her genetics related issues under control so she didn't appear batshit insane and visibly related to Caesar upon her first meeting with her uncle. That would be messy. She had a couple more surprises that came as a result of her mysterious solo training, but those would have to be saved for a more appropriate time. It would be to easy to go listing them here and now.
She turned on the ship's cloaking as she approached the big green planet and parked in its orbit. She then leaned back in her seat, crossing her arms over her chest and letting out a stressed huff. All that time alone, and she still hadn't figured out how to even find Tarro let alone how to introduce herself. 'Hi. I'm your niece from the future. Make me a super Saiyan!' Haha, yeah, fat chance. It didn't help her that she had already ruled out the usage of cosmetics or shapeshifting to make herself appear more like a full-blood Saiyan. That would make her so much more believable, since she aimed to use Tomina's story rather than any old crappy one she might come up with on her own. She had always been a terrible liar. But then if she were any good, she wouldn't be Excalibur's wielder, now would she?
Again, she huffed. The hybrid sat up to get a better view of planet Namek. She had been there once or twice as a small child before it was destroyed in her own timeline. Seeing it intact was unsettling for the now adult Hasenya. With her knowledge of how ships and approaching planets worked, she came up with a plan that just might be crazy enough to work. She turned off the cloaking that hid her ship, making herself, and more importantly Tomina's ship visible to anyone that might be down on the planet's surface. Provided they had access to the technology necessary to be looking out for strange and uninvited ships. Additionally, to add on to her little plan to find Tarro, she took the ship down so that it was less in space and moreso just moving through Namek's skies, not at all being subtle trying to draw attention to herself. Hopefully the Alliance wouldn't be the first ones to find her- though Hasenya wouldn't necessarily complain about meeting Kohlrabi. Being a hybrid would make that meeting a lot less scary.
Of course, worst case scenario, she'd get blown out of the sky. That would suck for both her and the then shipless Tomina.
What an annoying time. Tomina was gone for awhile now, and with a bunch of their enemies no less. Between Komatsu, Jarvis, and some of those Earthlings (and possibly even the Demons) - Tarro was getting kind of antsy about the whole thing. He just wanted his mate to be back already, and was bummed he was supposed to just stay here on Namek while the tournament went on. He understood the logic behind it. No one on Earth seemed to want him around anyways due to the whole Tree of Might thing (which he kind of understood). Even though he didn’t eat the Fruit he was still partially responsible for its destruction. He wondered why the Alliance refused to resurrect Earth, given that so many of them had joined the fight against the Kingdom on that fateful day.
Perhaps it was how Nasu was murdered that drove a wedge between the two species. Tarro couldn’t say for certain.
So Tarro had just been training, training, training every day nonstop. It had been a vigorous set of sessions for him. He had mastered his Super Saiyan transformation, and he had ascended into the Super Saiyan Two level, but that was far as he had managed to go. He was just so distracted, especially while he was waiting for Tomina to get back from this stupid Tournament of Power.
Suddenly however there was talk of a ship in the sky... and he sensed a low but strange power level. Suddenly the alliance was alerted to the status of a Saiyan Kingdom ship in the air approaching the planet. Tarro could only think one thing. “Is Tomina back already? I thought she was supposed to be signal me ahead of time…,” he muttered to himself. He continued to scan deeper with his Ki Sensing, which had vastly improved as of late.
He sighed.
This wasn’t her. But he recognized the ship as hers. What the fuck was going on? Who took her ship? Was it stolen? Tarro quickly transformed into a Super Saiyan before flying off near the atmosphere of the planet. High in the sky - the Super Saiyan was broadcasting to the presence inside the ship.
“Who the fuck are you and what are you doing in my mate’s ship!?”
That seemed to do the trick. Just before long, she was hearing a voice. Not the same kind of voice that had afflicted her back on Earth, fortunately. This one had to be Tarro, given the angry tone and the keywords: 'mates' ship'. That whole business still had Hasenya confused. To think that her presence alone, with just a bit of changing in the timeline had led to those two getting together. That wasn't to say it was a bad thing, however, among all the potential candidates Tarro was the one who seemed to be best suited. But still, Hasenya couldn't help but to worry for her cousin, knowing the full extent of what emotional attachments can do when one is to have them be permanently broken by death's cold, merciless hands.
All that hoo-ey aside, Tarro's presence was her queue to then land the ship. Taking it down to a flat area on the surface. Having a conversation at those high altitudes didn't seem like too good of an idea, and landing would take but only a moment. A voice without a physical presence attached had to mean there was some form of telepathy being used. The Tomina of her timeline had made use of it on a regular basis, but Hasenya herself never quite got a grasp on the technique. Given some of the things her father had been famous for, she preferred to keep from opening a two-ways open line between her mind and another, mainly out of paranoia. Now she was wishing she had been able to pit that little fear aside, but at least she would have some time in the future to learn it.
Hasenya was quick about exiting the ship, taking Excalibur up on her way out, tying the belt that held it to her back at a diagonal around her torso and tightening it all while she moved. It was easier to feel secure with the weapon close by, even if right now it wasn't completely working as intended. Did this broadcast only go one way or could she respond in kind? She tried it, thinking that perhaps flaring her energy a tiny bit might help out. "I'm basically babysitting it while she's at the tournament. I was told to come look for you if she wasn't back soon, or if the Earth was destroyed." She tried it that way. But she doubted that it worried that way. Talking to herself was something she had done enough of lightly, so it would be suffice to say she was a little irritated. "Bah, fuck it. You probably followed me." She spat, this time out loud before folding her arms over her chest. "Telepathy isn't my strong suit. Like I said, the ship was given to me. Probably just to babysit while she's at the tournament. I was told to come find you if she wasn't back before long or if the Earth was destroyed.. The latter, in this case, unfortunately." The elemi then repeated with a huff. She wanted to sound a little more hurt over the Earth's destruction, but if any event held true too her timeline so far, it was Earth going bye bye. Except here, it had been reduced to nothing. At least in her own timeline it was simply made barren.
Tarro wasn't in the mood for games. Why else would he be here? Up near the atmosphere of the planet like a freak. People didn't do this for no good reason. Most people would have just forced them to land in a designated zone, or some other logical thing that wasn’t flying into space. But he was angry, and upset. Not just at the stranger who had used Tomina’s ship and gotten his hopes up, but with Tomina herself for being gone longer than he had been told. The Saiyan simply stood still as he began to power a sharp blade of ki, extending to his side and concentrating in power. One could easily tell he was not amused.
He looked on to the stranger in his mate’s ship. A young, white-haired woman with a sword strapped around her torso. He raised an eyebrow. This really was a stranger. He had never seen this woman before in his life. His yellow aura continued to flare in its immensity. It was easy to tell Hasenya wasn’t dealing with the average Saiyan warrior anymore. “Hmph. No wonder your power level is so pitiful - you haven’t even trained your mind,” Tarro said harshly, the blade still growing in his hand. “The ship was GIVEN to you? Unlikely. My mate isn’t exactly the most charitable person, and I remember that this ship was pretty precious to her.
Considering she isn’t here to back up your claim - I think it’s much more likely you stole it,” he said with a sharp glare focused on the white haired woman. He was definitely angry. Many scenarios played out in his head of what could have happened. She obviously wasn’t strong enough to attack Tomina and live to tell the tale, much less actually knock out or kill her. Could she have snuck on board and taken the vessel as her own? But then she said peculiar things.. She knew about the tournament. How? Only if she’d read Tomina’s mind or had a conversation with her would she know of that.
Suddenly his eyes loosened, though he didn’t drop his attack. “I’d suggest you explain who the hell you are… And what the hell happened on the Planet Earth. I should warn you, if you really know my mate, she would of told you I’m not a very patient man…” And it was so true, every word he said. He was a stubborn and impatient man.
This wasn't close to the worst situation Hasenya had come up with in her own paranoid mind. Having faith in someone Tomina would choose as her mate was easier than with other, not so relevant people. She raised her hand to grip Excalibur's hilt, eyes then narrowed, but she dare not break eye contact, as to ensure her words would carry a little more sincerity. Under normal circumstances, she would have gone as far as to unsheathe her weapon of choice, but here things were far from normal circumstance. No amount of beating could give Hasenya the balls to go and attack Tarro- She couldn't even begin to imagine what kind of wrath Tomina might call down on her, should she even manage to land a scratch on the man that was clearly way above her in terms of power. "Tomina's not dumb enough to her ship be stolen so easily by someone as weak as me. It would take a wish from the dragon balls for me to pull off a little heist like that." Hasenya explained, slowly inching away from the ship. If any attacks were fired, she didn't want it being caught in the crossfire. Damage to herself would be much easier to repair and to get away with than any damage to Tomina's ship.
"The ship is yours, if you really want it. I'm here and you're alive and that's enough for me- Almost certainly enough for Tomina." To her, this felt like one of those situations it would be appropriate to spill the beans about her origins. Perhaps not entirely, but she would definitely try to explain the relationship between her and her cousin. "Tomina's my cousin- More like an aunt or a mother, really, but as far as blood goes, she's just my cousin." She paused briefly, and in that brief moment the words Tomina quoted to her to say in an event such as this came to her. Surely they could reinforce her words somewhat? Her stance loosened and she took her hand away from her means of self defense, her tone lacking some of it's previous stress when she then spoke: "Red and gold are best together without brown. That's what she told me to say to you. And I've already demonstrated I suck at doing anything mind related."
Tarro continued to charge his blade in his hand, ready to strike this woman down if she didn’t tell him everything he wanted to know. He was so sick of all this bullshit the last few months that he was starting to lose what little patience he had. The Saiyan warrior’s golden glow overwhelming, and he was by far one of the weaker Saiyans on the planet. Judging by the power level this creature was emitting, even Tarro was more than capable of wiping her out. Eyes sharp as daggers flying with cold steel, the Saiyan carefully watched every movement. If he wasn’t so annoyed, he’d have laughed at her gripping her toy of a weapon. Weaponry like that was only as good as the wielder, though he supposed it was at least way better than the dumb ass guns of the Earthlings. Their lead toys even more pathetic. His ears perked, taking in her explanation in absolute silence. His black pupils scanning her gestures, his ear listening for every syllable, every sound for a trace of hesitation or doubt in her own words.
He needed to be sure she wasn’t lying to him. He could feel the power growing in his hand as she started off the conversation with sarcasm, while pointing out she wasn’t strong enough or clever enough to have stolen the ship. Though her words rang true, he did find them peeving as she wasted his time. If only she got closer to the point. “You’re not wrong about that…,” he openly stated, the blade growing even longer from the source of energy being funneled into.
He was caught off guard however as she offered the ship to him, acting as if she had been seeking him of all people. “You speak as if we are old friends… I’ve never met you. So how do you even know my name, much less coming all the way to Namek to find little old me?” the Saiyan asked with a quizzled brow, his tenseness loosening if only a smidge. His eyes widened and his mouth opened, with no words coming out. That was quite a claim. Tarro admitted he didn’t know enough about Tomina’s family to know if she had a cousin like this, but it was strange nonetheless. He felt like there was more that she neglected to share with him.
But the most shocking revelation of all was the final thing she said. The supposed code’s turn of phrase was intriguing to him. It took him a few seconds to process it. If it was from Tomina, he’d have to figure out its meaning. Red and Gold… are best together without brown? Clearly the important parts of the sentence were the colors. When he thought of Gold...he thought of the Super Saiyan transformation. Red reminded him of Super Saiyan God… but it could also be Tomina’s own unique Fire Elemi-Saiyan transformation. So what did brown represent? Poo? That didn’t make sense.
Saiyan tails… they were brown weren’t they? And that’s when it dawned on him. The time they first got together. Only Tomina would know something like that! “She… She TOLD YOU ABOUT THAT!?” he shouted in shock, his cheeks growing a slight, subtle blush to them as his ki sword completely dissipated from the surprise. “I… Well I guess it’s fair to at least assume you’re a friendly face,” he said as his transformation faded to reveal his normal spiky black hair. Really it didn’t change much other than it’s color. Tarro’s hair was naturally dispositioned towards spikyness.
“So you got a name? Or should I just call you ‘cousin of my wife’?” he said, his facial expression much calmer, though maintaining its rigid seriousness. He was still processing all of this news.
"If I told you how I knew you, you would have a real hard time believing me. But if you really must know, I'll be much happier to tell you when we're not out in the open like this." Hasenya responded, bringing her hand away from Excalibur and relaxing her stance to a neutral and casual one. If things were going as they had in her own time, then there would be a large number of Saiyans and other unwanted kinds of eavesdroppers roaming about. If she were here late enough, there might be a demon or two lurking around, and given who her father was she really didn't need any of that nonsense picking up on her Ki signature. In her top ten list of "things to be avoided", horny demons was third- just under a murderous 'uncle' Tarro who was underneath a very powerful and most likely.. "needy" demon. Genes really sucked, sometimes. Perhaps it was stereotypical to think of demons as a bunch of sexual deviants, but in cases like Hasenya, better safe than humping a demon.
"Name's Hasenya, but if cousin is what tickles ya then you're welcome to stick with that." Hasenya responded with a shrug. "She didn't tell me the details-- thank Kami, but she did give me those words just encase you seemed ready to blast my sorry head off. It's a bit early for that to be happening." She was quick to add on, as to prevent an awkward atmosphere between the two before she even told Tarro the details of her family relation to Tomina. It was a good thing Tarro had kept his thoughts about her sword to himself, that would've turned an already sour looking situation to one much worse, as Hasenya wouldn't so easily sit down for that. It would have an effect sort of like someone insulting one sibling in front of the other, and that was one of the last things that was needed right now. Sure she was just a hallowed out, glorified stick of steel without the spirit inside of it being active but that didn't give anyone the right to go insulting her- That was Hasenya's job as the "other sibling" in this analogy, after all.
Tarro crossed his arms at the response, finding it ominous and strange. This chick was really weird, that was for sure. What could she possibly have to say that would be so hard to believe? He sighed, just going along with it for now. “Yeah sure… Hasenya, you can bring the ship down, though let me do the talking. If you feed that crap to the Alliance pussies, then they’ll probably think your crazy and try to book you anyway. At least with me vouching for you they’ll know to back off and leave you alone, given the agreed ceasefire between the two Saiyan factions at the present moment…,
Though after we land… I’ll take you someplace. I wanna finish our conversation, and test some things..” he would say as he put off the rest of their conversation for now. He needed a little time to process her words. He would lead her across the planet to the docking bay, where she would leave the ship for a bit….
Some Time Later…
“So… What’s the story?” he said while cocking his head to the side as he just floated in mid air haphazardly. “This place is fairly quiet and tranquil, and more than that it’s good for training. Since you said you suck at mind stuff and your power level is pretty low, you’re in some dire need of good training.,” he said, being very blunt with his intentions. After she was done talking, they were going to fight. She needed a good fight to raise her power level. And although Tarro wasn’t exactly on her level, he was fairly good at regulating his power level. His control of the Super Saiyan form was flawless, should she find a way to push him hard enough to use it.
“Go simple and start from the beginning…,” he said with a nod.
Hasenya's flight was a different sort from Tarro's, but no less effective. Great wings of fire extended outwards from her back and she followed closely behind, keeping pace with her new 'uncle'. Once they idled, her wings flickered and died out at her will, leaving her to float midair by means of standard ki control techniques, implying that the wings were either simply aesthetic or they served as some means of acceleration.
If Tarro could love Tomina, then in Hasenya's mind he would likely have an easier time understanding her if she were to speak clearly, being direct and straight to the point no matter how bad it might sound. "Tomina and I being cousins was no lie, though the backstory to go with that was. Originally, I intended on hiding my origins with a basic little backstory.. But I haven't got time to beat around the bush." She began, and then inhaled deeply as she emotionally steeled herself to recall and then voice the more important and relevant parts. She wouldn't have a breakdown in front of Tarro, like she had Tomina -- At least, she hoped she wouldn't.
"I'm from the future, but I suppose at this point someone would call it an alternate future. In my future, our universe and all life in it was slowly but surely being wiped out. Nasu, Komatsu, Rukia.. Didn't matter who they were and how much firepower they were packing, they all died fighting or mysteriously vanished. My mother Flare was killed while I was still young, and it fell to the likes of Chris and Tomina to raise me. Tomina didn't get her turn until I was reaching my teen years, though." She blotted out the more gruesome details, but she could still recall them in her mind, and as she did it was plain to see the pain in her eyes. Just as if the fiery look most Fire Elemi had become dull and lifeless, leaving them with more of a dark red and almost brown color.
It would only get worse for her though as she continued, with the deaths. "The Chris of my time trained me to fight with a sword, after he died Tomina taught me how to fight with my fists.. We spent a lot of time training and running, she was more like my aunt than my cousin, and she still is. She sacrificed herself to get me here so that I could warn as many people as I could of the coming tragedies and the threat that causes them. I promised her and myself that time would not repeat itself." She could feel her heart clench inside her chest while she tried to stifle any emotions that might seep into her tone. "It's been.. difficult. The power I had before is gone and I don't think I can keep my promise that I made. I could already be born, someone important could already be dead, it could already be here and I wouldn't know until it was too late.."
The hybrid took another deep breath, composing herself somewhat better. "Tomina believed me, but that doesn't mean you should or that I expect you to. It's a big pill to swallow, but even if you don't, you have to promise me that she won't go away again. I can't do it on my own as I am now and it would destroy me if she were to go away again." Hasenya couldn't force the proper word out, 'go away' made for a good alternative even if it did make her appear childish and afraid of death. Because she was. Maybe not of her own, but even just scraping thoughts of her loved ones dying was incredibly difficult and brought up far too many emotions for the usually quiet and careless Elemi to handle.
Tarro couldn’t help but notice Hasenya’s bizarre way of flying as she trailed behind him on fire wings. That was… new to say the least. She was a weird girl, that was for sure. Even for a cousin of Tomina’s. But he said nothing on the flight over. Eventually the two were alone and Tarro waited to hear Hasenya’s story, which the Saiyan was restless to hear. He took a deep breath, preparing himself. He could tell this was going to be a rather significant story (based off her own body language before telling it). The first thing was reaffirm that she and Tomina were in fact cousins (something that was quite interesting to him). The fact that she needed to emphasize that meant that something else was coming. He sensed a but. So apparently her backstory was a fib. He tightly gripped his arm, clearly annoyed with her when she said that. But he made no move and let her explain.
And then she said something so utterly ridiculous to him.
“You’re from the future? PFT! I’m sorry but that’s a little hard to believe…,” Tarro said, a small (kind of mocking) chuckle echoing out of him. And yet… his face softened as she began to explain. An alternate future? Is that how time travel worked? Nonetheless, whether it was true or not, it was was an intriguing story. He didn’t know who this Rukia person was, but the fact that Komatsu and Nasu could be felled by this unknown foe was admittedly interesting to him.
However the most interesting thing was also the most hilarious.
“Oh my god…” Tarro suddenly tried hard to suppress a chuckle, barely able to contain himself. In the back of his mind however... he couldn’t help but think,“Flare’s kid? Haha... I feel bad for the poor bastard that got that hothead pregnant! Was Jie the father?” Tarro couldn’t help but be curious as to who Hasenya’s father was.
“Ew… Chris helped raise you? How’d you manage to do that? I can’t stand more than five minutes with that shithead… Between his self-righteousness and his unbearable attitude.. I’m surprised you’re alive to tell the tale,” Tarro said with a nod.
And from there on the jokes would cease, as he could tell this was serious.
The story was rather sad, and depressing. It sobered him right up. He looked down at the ground, unable to say anything. He almost looked mad. He walked toward Hasenya, no words coming out as each step brought him closer to her. He walked until they were side by side, looking in opposite directions and staring out into the distance.
He put his hand on her shoulder.
“I’m sorry. You must have had a rough go at it,” was all he could say, and his tone a lot more solemn now. The feeling of powerlessness was one he understood.
“I may not understand the time shenanigans, but I know how you feel. As does Tomina I imagine. She and I have both lost all our loved ones in the same manner you’ve described... It never gets easier, does it?” he would continue.
“If she told you anything about our vows, then you’d already know that I’ve pledged to protect her always. To fight her battles with her, even at the cost of my own life.
But if we’re going to protect her, then we need to both get stronger. It’ll help once I can help you regain your power level. No offense, but it’s pitiful the way it is now…,” he would say as he crossed his arms again. Floating in the air a bit above her now, Tarro would turn to face her as he continued to ascend. “Attack me. With everything you have.. I’ll sit here and let you charge. I wanna know what you can do at your maximum power. Don’t worry. I can take it…,” Tarro would say with a chuckle.
Hasenya bit down hard on her lip, fists tightening while a breath hitched in her throat. Her gaze turned towards her feet while she fought an internal struggle to keep her emotions from bursting forth. "I-It.." She paused briefly, taking another, although shakier breath before continuing to speak. "..Never gets easier. Even just in general, things always seem to go against me. And by the Gods I wish that were just pessimism but the proof is all there. It's like I'm being punished for existing, in a way." She relented for a moment, speaking just a hint of her feelings. Negativity, hopelessness, grief. All there, even though she really was trying to contain it. She shook her head and braced her arms at her sides, fists still clenched tight. The hybrid steeled her resolved and looked up at her apparent uncle with a newfound determination shining brightly in her eyes, brow furrowed. "You're only feeling it as it is now. Heavily suppressed." She stated with a shit-eating grin. "You asked who my dad was- I just hope that this isn't a dead give away." And she would explain what 'this' was not through her words, but her next actions. Before the changes even showed, there was a noticeable increase in Hasenya's power.
Hasenya clenched her teeth and began to power up, a fiery aura steadily beginning to form an outline around her- going from head to toe, and then exploding from a dull light orange to a vibrant and eye-popping pink once the outline was complete. It had taken a lot of training alone to perfect her control over the natural power flowing through her veins, and today would be the day she put it on display. Her hair flowed somewhat upwards as the aura increased in size in small, explosive bursts. Eventually becoming something more fiery and wild as opposed to wispy and mist-like. "This power comes from my father's side of things.. I'm not proud of it, and I hate him with all my heart, but that's what makes this transformation possible!" She explained as the transformation slowly went on. Maybe her control wasn't so perfected, but the fact it was possible spoke volumes for how it used to be, back on Earth when it controlled her rather than vice versa.
The hybrid blinked, holding her eyes shut briefly as bio-electricity sparked through her aura. When her eyes opened again, they had gone from their dark red to a dark blue, with veins of the same cerulean color visible underneath the skin around them. With some visible effort though, she was able to rid herself of that corrupted trait. No foul corruption would control her so easily- though she preferred not to embrace the role before, now she drew power from it and let it motivate her to be better and stronger. With a yell, she stood straight once more, her hair surging up as her aura exploded into a vibrant magenta flame around her growing whiter as it grew closer to the Elemi at the center.
With her new transformation then complete and her power suppressed, she looked up at Tarro and waited for a response rather than attack right away. The smirk on her face gone as she expected the worst from this.
WC: 547 Hasenya ascended into Mastered Power (x6/x5)
Tarro sighed. She obviously had had a very difficult life. He took a deep breath before turning his head to look out at the water. Looking at the green waters of Namek as he took a beat to think of what to say. “This Universe is fucked up,” he said, clearly the most elegant of responses filled with nuance and depth.
“When the God King came and killed my family, my friends, and destroyed my planet on a whim. When everyone in the Universe gathered to stop us for killing some trees, rather than stopping Jarvis when he was massacring Earthlings in the South. When the Demons slaughtered the remnants hiding on Saiya and no one bothered to stop them.
I too thought that perhaps my existence was cursed. That all Saiyans were. That the Universe was erasing us like a blight, a virus it was trying to flush out. But Tomina told me I was an idiot,” Tarro said.
His head turned back to face Hasenya’s, forming hard eye-contact. A smile formed.
“It’s not you. It’s everything. This world isn’t fair, it’s not just, and it’s not forgiving. There’s pain everywhere… But that pain forces us to be strong, to grow up,” he would say again.
He let his words echo, taking a pause to allow her to process his words. It was a pleasant encounter thus far. He was starting to warm up to Tomina’s weird cousin from the future.
But then it was ruined.
His eyes widened as his senses felt her mysterious energy as it rose. What the hell was this feeling? It was familiar but also not. He didn’t understand it. Why was her flames such a strange color? This was nothing like he had seen from any Elemi, or a hybrid like Tomina.
But when she opened his eyes… he felt a chill. He suddenly began to realize what it was he was sensing. This power wasn’t too different from.. From…
From Jarvis.
Rage filled his entire being as his own eyes began to turn back into their teal-emerald shade. His own aura turning from its previously dark yellow into the golden hue of the Super Saiyan. “So you’re his spawn, are you?” Tarro said with a scowl on his face. “You should suppress that shit! His power is tainted, evil! Or do you intend to be like him?” Tarro would shout, clearly very upset.
Hasenya thought she was prepared, but she wasn't. The girl was taken aback by Tarro's reaction, enough so that she drifted back just around half a foot, her eyes widened. "B-Be like him?" She repeated the words quietly, rather unpleasant memories rising to the surface. For a long time she had done her best to suppress all of what happened in her own timeline between herself and whoever was taking care of her at the varying times, but she sometimes it got to be too much and she was again reminded of how cursed her own existence was. She could remember how Tomina or Chris would have yelled at her for drawing on a power source that wasn't her own, or Excalibur's. At least in Tomina's case it was because.. no, no. She wasn't going to think about that. Even scraping the surface of that memory in particular stirred a panic in the Elemi, her head throbbing with pain as she put forth a great mental effort to shove those horrid memories back into the depths, and to prevent the rising feeling of panic in her chest and in the back of her skull.
It wasn't sufficient enough to say she was simply hurt. She was much more than that. Hasenya clenched her teeth, tears forming in the corners of her eyes while her fiery aura flared, reacting to her emotions. "I'm not evil! I'll never be like him, I promised that to myself and to Excalibur!" She said as much, but even then she could feel the corrupted influence of her form, like a dull burning pain against her very soul. She knew that in this emotional of a state she wouldn't be able to maintain full control of the transformation.. let alone herself. Her frame shuddered as she reverted back to her base state, her shoulders slumping under the weight of her thoughts- and the effort to fight against them, to block them out and pretend they didn't exist. "I.. I want to protect my mom." The girl then uttered after a brief silence, her tears flowing freely now. She hadn't meant to say 'mom', but she had. Maybe Tarro would just assume she meant Flare, or whatever stupid lie she had come up with before. She couldn't remember it now. Her brain felt scrambled and her emotions were rising again.
"Any price.. Any price I said to myself, dammit! You don't even know the lengths I would go to, to make sure that my mom is okay!" Hasenya yelled, her aura reigniting and exploding out from her. Reds, oranges, yellows- all the normal colors a flame might be, this time. Though strangely, predominantly red. "I let her tell me to go on without her, I let Excalibur sacrifice herself to bring me back here- I gave up all that power that I had trained my ass off for my entire life! Becoming a monster? If it's for mom, I don't care what I have to do.. If I have to fight Nasu, Komatsu-- or even you! I'll do it. I swear- again - by my very heart and soul and to whatever stupid God that's out there that I'll fulfill my promise to her at any and every price! I'll be a demon, I don't care, I just want my mom to be alive and to be happy!"
Her aura exploded, just as her emotions- as well as the truth- spilled out. The flames around her grew and grew until they were massive in size. Her eyes were wide and full of rage and pain, though even as her power continued to grow and grow.. going beyond even the power that she had just displayed, they retained their rose pink color. The Elemi balled her fists up tight, hunching forward slightly. Her thoughts kept racing until they were as a red blur, obscured by the her anger and grief exploding. Rather than continue to expand, her fiery aura would close in on her, and rather than dance along the outline of her frame, they would wrap around her like a shroud. Becoming one with her as a part of her, rather than something that was an extension.
"I'm not like him.. I'm not! I'll kill him- I'll kill him for making me! I'll make him hurt." She roared, her flames fluctuating and spiking outwards as if reacting to her aggression. "I'll erase him completely for hurting my mom- for hurting you.. for anybody!" A wave of energy pulsed through her fiery aura, briefly giving her hair a bright red color as opposed to the white/reddish pink gradient. "And then.. Then nobody will see me as a monster! Nobody will hit me, scream at me- it'll all finally stop, and mom will finally love me!" The enraged hybrid choked back a sob, her tears then pushed back by the sheer amount of energy her body was putting out. "But if you're going to call me tainted, my birth a sin..."
"THEN I DON'T CARE!!"
Her energy exploded once again as she let out a roar, engulfing her completely and expanding into a pillar of flaming plasma that reached much higher into the sky than the two already were. Within the pillar of her own energy, she braced her arms against herself, her fists clenched to the point her pointed nails dug into her palms. And with another wordless scream, she pushed her arms out and tilted her head back, her roaring voice resonating throughout the surrounding area. The pillar seemed to disperse, though to someone as close to Tarro it would be felt more as an explosion as a wave of sheer force and heat would be pushed out from Hasenya. Likely nothing a Super Saiyan couldn't handle, but it might just get the point across.
Hasenya was revealed now. Her hair had taken on a shade of bright and fiery red, and her pink eyes had become a golden yellow color. The aura around her was fiery and red, though sometimes joined by a streak of bright blue with hints of black and white, similar to if not even the same as Tomina's own flames. She didn't wait for a response that time, Launching herself towards Tarro with her fist pulled back behind her head. The enraged Super Saiyan Crimson would throw the punch, aiming to slam it as hard as she could into his face. A punch that was backed up by not only this newfound power, but a lot of thoughts and feelings that she had been bottling up for far too long now.

Hasenya has ascended into Super Saiyan Crimson. (x14/x13, flavored Super Elemi)
She clearly wasn’t expecting this from him. It was as if she didn’t know him at all, despite claiming to be from the future. Was he supposed to just blindly accept this new truth? A spawn of Jarvis in front of him, using the same powers? How could she ever expect him to trust her? His fury flamed even higher when he saw tears form down her face.
“Oh, I’m sorry, did I offend you? Are you not daddy’s little girl? That aura certainly could have had me fooled!”
His shout was loud and thunderous, the boom of his voice echoing across the field. While her eyes showed the water of tears, his own showed ice formed from many cold nights.
“You think that’s a power meant to protect? It’s a power to destroy! It’s chaos incarnate, the result of an abomination that was never meant to exist!”
The yellow flames of his Super Saiyan form continued to spiral and expand on the surface, as winds surged and tore through the landscape and rocks soared and hovered in place. The emerald color of his eyes leered with a dominating presence, as every emotion tore through him. His own mind tormented with the memories of everyone who fell to that sort of power. The destruction of Natto, the loss of the Captain, the death of his remaining family. The sight of that pinkish aura and the sound of maniacal laughter.
“You poor girl.. Have you known misfortune? Have you known loss?”
This was the question he asked, full of malice and mockery.
“You couldn’t even begin to understand regret, to understand failure. You’re just a child who thinks they’re special because of a stupid sword, and your luck that it chose you instead of someone else,” he would finish on a cold note. He didn’t care about her lies, her falsehoods. Her tale of woe. It was all meaningless.
However her aura change was a strange surprise. His eyes opened and widened. His arms fell to his sides no longer crossed with their scorn and suspicion. This red fire was a familiar feeling. The warmth of his love seared his heart a little. Tomina? No, it was the stranger still. She had learned to utilize the same transformation as her aunt (or was it cousin? Their family tree was all fucked up).
However in the midst of this transformation an important detail came to light. Her mother telling her to leave with Excalibur.. He thought Flare died shortly after she was born? Which was it?
“You say you want me to trust you, and yet you keep lying to me! Who the fuck are you, really? I’m not like Tomina. I don’t just accept things because I can’t come up with a better explanation! Tell me the truth or I’ll beat it out of you!”
He was losing his cool. He didn’t know what to do with this bothersome child. He stomped his foot forward, the earth itself cracking from the sudden force. Even with her new power, she wasn’t enough to threaten him or scare him. “How am I supposed to know you’re not just telling me what I want to hear? Actions are what create trust, not words! Use your fists, not your tongue to make me understand!”
And so that was his challenge. He stood firm and ready for her. He didn’t flinch as she rushed toward him with all the heat, all the fire, all the emotion that she had inside of her. An earnest hit meant to strike at him.
And he grabbed it with ease.
His fingers firmly pressed on her knuckles, her fist absorbed into his palm as he essentially caught and blocked her punch. Now he knew how Tomina felt in their first training session. This was pathetic. “That punch is the most honest thing that’s been uttered by you since your arrival,” he said.
That didn’t stop him from punching her in the stomach as a reply (without holding back). Shaping his other hand into a Wolf Claw from the teachings of Master Karota, he slashed at her with extra force meant to send her flying. It’s not as if he was trying to bully her. He wasn’t like Cress. But he wasn’t going to baby her either.
She had Saiyan blood in her, whether he wanted to recognize it or not.

- Tarro blocks the punch and counters with not one, but two Advanced MA's. Wolf Perks (as well as being swole af).
Hasenya gave a strangled gasp when Tarro's fist slammed into her gut, the punch having enough force to knock her clear back to her base state. The yellow faded from her eyes back to their normal color. "Fuck.. you." The hybrid hissed breathlessly, though this was just before being smacked towards the ground, swatted away as if she were a mere instinct. Which when compared to Tarro at his full power.. she was. Making a harsh impact with the ground would leave Hasenya in a small crater, though also surrounded by rocks of all various sizes sort of leaving her half-buried.
It wasn't long before her aura reignited, exploding out from her once more and freeing her. It only made her angrier how right Tarro was about the lying. She'd done nothing but spread lies since she had come to the past, and good as her intentions may be her reasons were still cowardly. She feared erasure by the gods, but if they were going to erase her wouldn't they have done it long ago? Either way, she didn't care about that anymore. Even if she were to be erased she had already done so much to at least ensure her mother would be safe and happy. That was all she could ask for- though that wasn't to say she was just about to give up.
Even though she knew now that words and lies wouldn't convince the male Saiyan, she still had two more to say. She wasn't so confident she could actually get it off but.. If she could ascend to Super Saiyan Crimson, then surely anything must be possible. Hasenya curled her fingers and brought her hands together at chest level, a fuschia-colored sphere of Ki being gathered in the palm of her hand quickly growing in size until it was just about the size of a softball.
"Galick.. GUN!!"
Fueled by rage and passion, the hybrid thrust her hands forward towards Tarro. Fuschia-colored bio-electricity surging around her body to join her fiery red aura as a beam of energy exploded from her hands towards her.. step-dad? Hells, this was awkward. Hopefully this action didn't get the wrong message across- she was glad Tarro wasn't aware she had an abominable child meant to be a super weapon.. for now.
