“So this..is Heaven?” Rensu was amazed. He expected something else, perhaps something different. But, it seemed many of his bases were both hit and also missed at the same time. Men and women walked about, some identical to he, as they were completely made of clouds just as he was, and some half and half. Half man and half wisp, and half woman and wisp. It was interesting. But, it didn't hold his attention for much too long. There were other things that had since obtained his interest. For example, one of the figures who had fallen in combat had made their way to the land up above. With, a full body. Color Rensu green, as he was stuck with the fluffy cuteness that he had become. Ugh!
Hovering, which quickly became flying, towards the deceased swordsman, Rensu was choc full of questions. Curious as to what brought him here, why he had a body, who he was friends with, why he was on Earth. The whole nine yards. “Hey! Mister!” He cried out.Galen
He was following the suggestion of Queen Aka, and talking to every human that perished due to the attack of the demons in order to bring them solace and hope. He even helped some of them transition from the pure cloud forms into the hybrid cloud and corporal form, which was the most the vast majority of them could ever dream to accomplish. This experience was quite enlightening as well, as Galen soon realized that having a corporal body in the afterlife required not only a strong mind, but also a strong ki, way beyond the norm for most races and that was the main reason there was that cute cloud form in the first place. He couldn't help but to miss his beloved friend, the Flying Nimbus and, as a being made of magic, it was unlikely that it would have made it to the afterlife, which was a real shame, but hopefully he could restore him with the aid of the Gods of Creation or the dragon balls.
Out of the blue, one of the clouds came towards him at a fast pace, prompting Galen to glance over towards it. "Uhn?" obviously he couldn't recognize the clouds as they had no ki signature and they were exactly the same, so if he was to help it, he needed some information first. Galen walked towards it and kneeled to be on the same level. "Hello there, what can I do for you? My name is Galen." he said, cracking a gentle smile on his face.
Acknowledgment! The first step to getting some answers and figuring out what he was supposed to do for what seemed to be the rest of eternity! Excellent!
If the young Saiyan could show his emotions, a mighty large smile would be plastered all along his lips. Alas, such a privilege just wasn't his. Not yet, at least! He'd get there soon enough. He blinked, though, quirking a brow as Galen responded to him. It seemed Galen couldn't really sense the boys true power and sensed him as just another one of the other weaker mortals who, too, fell on Earth. Not a problem. He couldn't get too angry for that. He'd just have to show him in due time. "Hi! My name's Rensu, and..uh, I know this sounds crazy but I was one of the people who fought on Earth." He spoke truthfully, but at the risk of seemingly a little insane. After all, if Galen had his body then why didn't Rensu? Surely it took some level of physical and spiritual strength to retain a mortal form. Rensu lacked one of those, at the least.
From the corner of his eye, the lad noticed one of the spirits that Galen helped obtain a hybrid form. Where, the torso was man and the lower body was wisp. If Rensu could get there, at least, he'd be satisfied for the time being. Then, he could make way and prove his strength to whoever he needed to, in order to grow. "I know it's not something worth bragging over, but I was the last one to go down. Everyone..un, everyone died. My friends, innocent people, and..yeah.." Rensu huffed. A smaller cloud escaping his own puny body of a cloud. "But, I died in battle. I lost to that robot dragon, Ash, and those two stupid demons from Makai. But— Anyway, do you think you could help me get my upper body? It'd help a lot, yknow!"
Galen touched his chin in a thoughtful expression. "Rensu... Rensu... I'm sorry, it truly does not ring a bell..." he admitted, scratching the back of his head. That was when it clicked and Galen arched both of his eyebrows when he mentioned that he was one of the last ones to go down. "Ohhhh! So you are the saiyan boy, right?! I guess I know who you are now, though it's so difficult to know for sure when I can't sense your energy or see your face!" he said, chuckling with a slightly embarrassed tone to his voice. In any case, he quickly explained he had died in battle fighting the giant robot Galen knew it meant trouble and his expression became more serious.
He nodded when he asked if he could help him restore his body. "I'm sure I can help you regain your full body, though it may take a while. Not like any of us are in any sort of huge rush, though... We are not going anywhere for a while..." he said as he sit down to keep on talking to Rensu. "Before that, though... I need to ask you some questions, if that's okay." he paused, waiting any form of confirmation he could proceed before he did so. "What happened down there? I was sure I gave Miss Rukia a chance to finish off the Demon Queen... And I was sure she had the power to protect the world. I don't get how she failed. Can you tell me what really happened down there? I need to know for when I come back to the world of the living." he said, without giving any further details on how he would be able to pull such a stunt as that of coming back to life.
“Oh...” A kind of defeated sound escaped the Saiyan boy's lips. So, Galen didn't know who he was, huh? At least he was upfront and honest about things. But, some hope came over the boy as Galen seemed to suddenly know just who he was. Supposedly mentioning his status of last survivor and the presence of a huge cybernetic monster seemed to jog his memory just fine. A smile came back over Rensu, as Galen explained just why it was he hadn't recognized the youth. “Oh! No, no! It's okay, I can't really blame you. It looks like the vast majority of us look pretty much identical, hehe!” Rensu chuckled, his tiny cloud tail moving a bit as he found joy in this exchange. But, it eased and slowed as Galen, too, became a bit more concerned and curious.
Rensu grew happier by the moment once Galen confirmed that he could indeed restore him— Or, help restore him, for the matter. All was not lost, and hope was sure as hell alive! “Alright, sweet! Thank you, Galen!” His eyes opened some, though, as Galen sat onto his rear to continue their conversation. Stopping to listen, the boy nodded but also gave a confirming grunt to accompany it. “No problem. Please, ask away.” The lad said. “Well...”
“I dunno, but ‘Rukia’ failed. I didn't really get to team up with her, but from what I saw there was nothin. I think she made a helluva dent if I had to give you an estimate of her performance. Whatever hope you had, definitely wasn't in vain, Mr. Galen.” Rensu began to recollect the events and recount them for the Human before him. “I just...I kinda just remember people dropping like flies. One after the other. It's a wonder I survived so long before transforming one more time. People just died. Humans, Saiyans, whatever you want to name. And..um, I hope you don't plan on returning to Earth. 'Cos....” He paused for a moment. “There is no Earth anymore. Before I got destroyed, they kept saying it was over. The Earth was ready to blow.” He hummed, though. “I think that Rukia made it out. I ain't see her in the check-in or nothin' like her. I could be wrong.” Rensu added. Sighing, he had to apologise.

Galen listened carefully to what Rensu had to say, he was eager for knowledge of what transpired after he died. Apparently, even though she failed, Rukia still fought and caused some damage to the demons. Galen couldn't find solace in that as he had no desires for revenge against their kin. He just wanted to save his people, save his planet, but he failed to accomplish that and so did his allies. In the end, Earth perished, but at least Rukia apparently managed to escape, so if they ever restore the planet, he would have maybe a chance on counting on her again, her strength was most certainly valuable. "I see..." he said with a bit of a saddened tone, but then he shook his head and cracked a acquiesced smile. "No use crying over spilled milk, eh?" and he chuckled with his slobbery comment.
"Alright, Rensu... We should work on getting your body back!" he said as he nodded. "It is not an easy task, though, especially for someone who just got here! But considering the power I sensed coming from you back then, I'm pretty sure you will be able to make it!" he said, clenching his fist with confidence.
The boy composed of clouds grew into a somber mood as he explained. The expression put on by Galen helped the mood set, but swiftly broke the process and a curiosity came over. It seemed that even when being informed of his homeworlds destruction, he had no sadness to display. Instead, Galen's odd smile had become contagious. Rensu smiling just the same, alas he wished he could've shown it and shared the joy just as expressively. “Agreed. No use over crying about spilled milk — I hope I said that right, heh!” Rensu chuckled.
Eager as ever, Rensu agreed wholeheartedly that it was about time to begin cracking down on the body process. He needed a physical vessel if he wanted to be damn near any use while up in the heavens. Besides, Otherworld was supposedly where powerful warriors came to rest upon death. So...if he had a body he could challenge them! And, to make matters even more sweet, he had a suspicion that wordly needs and requirements were off here. No pulse meant no limit on his stamina and what have you. But, that was second on his to-do list. As of right now, he had to work beside Galen. The former Tower Keep seemed nice enough and frankly, Rensu had a feeling he could learn a thing or two from him. “Say, Galen, once I get my body back...d'ya think you can teach me a thing or two 'bout fighting? Anythin' at all?” He asked curiously. “Oh, understood. I won't fail ya. Galen arched both his brows when Rensu asked if he could teach him a thing or two about fighting when he regained his body. If he recalled correctly, Rensu managed to display a greater power than Galen back when he was fighting on Earth, only being surpassed by the human because of his knowledge of the Kaioken, and still he wanted to be trained by Galen. It was funny how the world worked and he couldn't help but to feel mildly amazed by that. Galen chuckled lightly and nodded in agreement. "Well... I wouldn't mind teaching you something, but I doubt my main style would suit you..." he started, until he suddenly remembered he knew another style that could actually fit the savage way a saiyan fights. "But I know something about a style that might suit a brawler better! And I can teach you as soon as you regain a body!" he said. This style he mentioned was one he learned with none other than a saiyan, so it sounded like a perfect plan.
"It's funny... You are going to be the second saiyan I ended up teaching something! I wonder how the first one is doing... Carva was his name. He said he was an elite warrior!" he chuckled as he remembered this saiyan named Carva as quite the figure.
"Hey, wow, really?! Well, alright! I'll take any style ya got, don't worry none about me suiting anything! I'll take it and try to adapt it into whatever I can that's comfy, yknow?” Rensu grew even more ecstatic. This was perfect. First, he had to get his body. Then, he could finally figure out how to further his strength and put it to use. What more could he ask? Galen's friendly demeanor only added to the youths happiness. To think, these two were about the same power but here Rensu was, requesting some tutelage from the "weaker" warrior. All this talk of training was pumping him up, though! Rensu used his teeny cloud hands to jab at the air, huffing out breaths of labor with each strike to the air. “Yeah! Hoo! Yah!” He huffed.
Galen mentioned how it was funny, Rensu was the second Saiyan that he had gone and taught something to. Well, the universe was a rather large, expanse thing. Right? In fact, he was sure there were a variety of other Saiyans in the cosmos doing whatever and one just so happened to encounter that Galen character at some point. The name, however, was a unique one. “Say, did you say Carva?” Rensu arched a brow. “Big, tall guy? Spiky hair? Big on honor and impressing a King? The saiyan had some spirit and he could see that even through his cloudy form and that made him chuckle. "Alright! I think this style will suit you though." he reassured the young saiyan. Then, when he mentioned that elite saiyan he met back at Korin's Tower, Rensu's interested seemed to be intensified and proceed to describe the man and it did match the description. Galen nodded and chuckled a tad bit more and he ended up laughing when he asked if he did monologue a little. "Hahahaha! That pretty much sums it up! That was Carva alright. I taught him how to sense and suppress his ki. His energy levels back then weren't all that impressive, though I heard he became quite the accomplished fighter. Unfortunately fighting for the Saiyan King who attacked the Earth." he said, sighing as his expression grew a bit more serious. "He did quite the number on Earth with that tree of his." he mentioned, refering to the Tree of Might.
“Yep, that's him alright. Yeah, that big guy sure did enjoy his brooding and monologuing, I'll tell ya that no doubt about it.” Rensu laughed alongside that Galen. It seemed they both harbored similar memories with Carva. At least the two of them had something to conversate over and branch out with. That said, Galen's change in attitude was met with a bit of an awkward shuffle. That Tree of Might business was...something. He hadn't any working part in the operation, nor did he consume any of the accursed fruit but he wasn't too proud of what his kin had committed upon the Earth. “Yeah. He became pretty strong and used that power of his for something. Sucks it was for that.” Rensu huffed.
What were the odds they new the same person? Well, they were both saiyans, so there was that; there weren't that many saiyans left alive as far as he knew, but still, he found it quite amusing. In any case, the mention of the events on Yunzabit Heights, with the Tree of Might, were a sore subject to Galen and his expression did not hide that. It was in part because of King Nasu's attack that most of the defenders, such as Christopher and Flare left Galen and Jie Shan alone to face the wicked Caesar, which ultimately led to Galen's first death and the doom of the Southern Islands.
The human nodded and sighed. "We are free to choose whatever path we want to follow in this life, but we also have to shoulder the burden of those choices... Most people are ready to choose, but not ready to shoulder." he said with a serene tone. "There are things I regret as well, but nothing we can do will change the past. Therefore, I aim my will and energy towards the future. That's the only path we can follow." he said, making a quick nod. "In that regard, Rensu... What is it that you want for your future?" he asked.
“I mean, yeah, that sounds about right to me,” Rensu nodded in agreement to Galen's sentiments and thoughts on one's path in life and what they seek to do with it. It was up to you and no one else to decide what you do with yourself. Nothing could really change that. In truth, Rensu was certainly learning from this Galen character quite a bit and to think: This was their first true, personal Union. Rensu hoped this would blossom into a fine friendship. Akin to that he had with Carva, if not on the same level or tighter. Either or! The last bit of Galen's dialogue, how some are capable of selecting an option but are not capable of taking on the effects and consequences that lie with them. It was an interesting idea and something to consider in the future. Rensu did perk up and quirk a brow at the man's questions for him, now.
“Oh me? Jeesh,” Rensu wondered what he'd say. Thinking about it for a moment. “Well, what I want is a home that's not on the verge of exploding or constantly risking being exploded all the time.” He began, tilting his body around. “But I'd like to help out where I can.” The youth tried explaining the best he could. “It's just tough now, considering I got my arm sliced not too long back.” The boy laughed a little, thinking of how it'd look from the outside: A teenager fighting off the bad guys and aliens with one arm and two feet. “I'd like to help the Earth, overall. Galen took notice of the fact that he mentioned losing an arm. When he saw him on Earth, he still had his own two arms, so it was probably a consequence of the battle down on Earth and, for that, Galen was sorry. "If you had taken one of my Senzu Bean back then, you would be able to have your arm regrow, but now... Maybe you can have it back when you materialize your body, but it's not likely... People keep their scars when they die. I'm sorry for that Rensu. I wish I could've helped you down there, but, again, we only have the future. You will have to learn how to battle without it, but I'm sure we will be able to figure it out." he said, cracking a sympathetic smile on his face as he nodded.
"And I'm happy to hear you want to fight for Earth. Once I go back to life, I will claim my role as the Guardian of the Planet and as my first action as Guardian, I will bring back the Z-Fighters, a legendary group of warriors that protected the Earth, generation after generation. If you are truly adamant about protecting Earth and becoming a part of it..." he paused, widening his smile and clenching his fist with confidence. "Then, how about joining me? I will train you to the best of my capabilities and make sure you can fight as a real warrior, despite your handicap! What do you say, Rensu?!" he asked, almost unable to contain the excitement of a prospect of a new and strong ally.
Rensu noticed the sorrow and apologetic expression laced upon Galen's face. It seemed he felt bad for the boy, or perhaps pitied him some. To that, Rensu shrugged to himself and laughed heartily. “Kekeke!” Rensu guffawed, smiling quite broadly. “Hey, don't worry about it — I can work with just one arm, no problem. I guess I should swiped up that Senzu Bean, but between being shouted at and, uh, killed..” Rensu's voice trailed into a shy giggle. “It slipped me. I'll deal with the consequences, it was the path I went down, right?” The boy spoke with a playful tinge. He agreed though, “You got a point there. I will have to learn how to fight with this arm only. Just gotta deal, right?” He shrugged.
“Well...when everyone's about ready to put their hands on it and gearing to destroy at the nearest corner.” The youngster replied. “It's somethin’ I've had time to think about. Since I moved to Namek, and then came back for that whole thing..” Rensu paused. “Seein’ everyone get slain and downed by this friggin’ demons and monsters? The Earth needs a friend or two. ’Seems like it's you an’ me who are those friends of it, Mister Galen. We just gotta round everyone else back up, rally em.” Rensu spoke from his heart and made a fist with his cloudy, cotton like fist. “I'm honored, Mister Galen!
