While the Fighters are Away (Ask/Tau)

Mofuka wasn't taking any of what was being said to him very well at all. The hybrid stood there, D shaking and clenching teeth, gloved hands balled up into fists. "Don't.. Don't talk to me like that." He growled through his clenched teeth, his gaze going down towards his feet as he tried his best to quell his seething temper. In response to Artemis's demand for a new fighter, the audience could only laugh. Not something the already frustrated hybrid was a fan of.

"This was supposed to be FUN!!" The hybrid finally snapped, almost roaring. Hot tears of anger rolled down Mofuka's cheeks as he trembled with rage. "Is your idea of fun making fun of me and degrading me just because I'm weaker than you?! We're here to train, and to become strong! Not to be a couple of stuck up, prideful BULLIES!" The second time Mofuka screamed, electricity crackled around him and his energy spiked significantly.

A bright green aura created an outline around him, glowing brightly before essentially bursting and spiking out. "I don't care if you beat me broken and bloody, miss Artemis.. I'm here to get stronger, not to win. But.." The hybrid growled, raising a fist that he then concentrated his energy into, surrounding the length of his arm up to his elbow and his fist in deep, emerald colored flames.

Kohlrabi had taught him this technique a good long time ago. It was usually a good way for him to exert his rage, but the combined efforts between the rude crowd and Artemis had him angrier than he had been in a real long time. He hadn't felt this irrationally angry and absolutely seething with rage since he was still a temperamental and young child.

Crouching low, bringing his fist to his side, Mofuka took a great leap up into the air, almost touching the ceiling of the arena as his fist was being brought back behind his head. "Never call me BOY!" The hybrid yelled, throwing his fist forward with all his might to send himself crashing towards the ground- Artemis being the target of his anger-fueled attack.

On the bright side, the difference between him and his younger self, was how he acted on this rage. He could've easily turned against a defenseless crowd and made them regret their laughter, but he would t rather aim his efforts at someone that could take it. Someone that could knock the piss out of him before things could get out of hand.

Though maybe that sassy announcer could do with a good hard slap to the face..

Mofuka couldn't do anything to stop her attack, he had left himself wide open with his reckless attack. When Artemis's fist collided with his gut, he nearly lost his food on top of his breath and his composure. With what little movement he could manage, he pushed away from Artemis so that he could properly collapse to his knees, with a hand over where he had been punched. The pain that radiated through his body was more than enough to leave him stunned and breathless, but he had been hit much harder before. This smarted.. But nothing was broken. 

The hybrid coughed and wheezed, catching his breath before struggling to his feet again. "You clearly don't know how Saiyans work.. No matter how many times you beat us down, we'll always get back up. Stronger and better than before. You'll defeat me today, but you won't know about tomorrow!" Mofuka readied himself again. There wasn't much he could do, when his body still felt stiff from pain.. But that just gave him time to figure out his next move.

Now things were how they should be. The crowd was silent, no longer tormenting Mofuka. He wasn't going to win, but he was still going to prove his point.. He wasn't Kohlrabi's apprentice for nothing. He would meet and then rise above this outsider in battle. Even if not today, his Saiyan pride wouldn't let it sit with a 'one and done'. No, this was personal now. He had to score just one win- or just something of worth to his progress in what was turning into a personal vendetta. "I'm ready, miss Artemis. Come on and hit me again!"

A couple of more hits like that and he was done for, but still. He wasn't gonna roll over. His pride was at stake, and he would never live it down to just forfeit like some coward. Besides, the opportunity to fight an outsider was exhilarating.. But if these women he kept meeting were going to continue to be as scary as Kohlrabi, he might reconsider the next time he's invited to one of these events. His experiences with the other sex so far have been nothing short of, ah.. Mortifying. Compared to his mother, who was far more gentle- even moreso than Mofuka himself, Artemis and Kohl were downright scary.

Can't do nothin' 'cause stunned

Mofuka scoffed at this being called 'adorable' nonsense. He wouldn't let himself become so easily flustered now, at this point.. Though the red in his freckled cheeks and furrowed brow might betray that just a tad. And as Artemis prepared her next attack and kept on talking, he steeled himself for his next course of action, taking on a defensive stance. "My master says.. My pride makes me invincible." He muttered, seeing an opportunity to retort, though instead his words carried uncertainty with them. If there were any Saiyan that could swallow the fist-sized pill that pride and honor weren't everything, it was Mofuka, but it wasn't any easier in this context. The crisis that came from some of Artemis's words left the boy somewhat opened, as he looked up in time to only barely see the attack strike him square in the chest and explode upon impact, surging electricity attacking his internal systems and causing undoubtedly immense damage. Unfortunately for Artemis, she would miss a lot of this, due to the smoke. Even the crowd would gasp in response to this. Was a pretty big explosion for what was intended as a casual fight, after all. Though maybe a certain announcer should have shut her mouth if it were intended to remain that at, hmm? 

When the smoke finally began to clear, certainly it would come as a surprise to see Mofuka still standing. Not undamaged.. But standing. His clothes now damaged and tattered, showing that while he might be a boy in mannerisms and in facial structure and such, he was built behind it all. Perhaps not bulky, like Saiyans such as Miso, but lean and muscular in a way that suggested he was at least serious about his training. It did not at all match his boyish face. Inhaling shakily, he slowly stood up straight from being slouched and then took a step forward, making it then known that the blast had pushed him back a good couple of feet. "You said that.. my will to fight is in my heart?" He muttered, looking Artemis right in the eye as he spoke. "It was a mistake, putting such an idea in my head. Because while I believe you.. I have a lot of pent up anger. Anger my master wanted to suppress. This was supposed to be a casual fight, but I'm sure someone who talks such a big game must be able to handle all that.. Right?"

Mofuka braced his arms at his sides and inhaled deeply, spreading his feet evenly apart. Rather than fight and suppress his feelings of rage and hate, he allowed them to bloom within his heart. "My master told me to suppress my rage but.. If all the things you say are true, THEN LET ME SHOW YOU MY REAL WILL TO FIGHT!" Clenching his teeth for a brief moment, he allowed his aura to explode out from him and let out a wordless scream. Turning from a deep green to a bright, almost neon one, mixed with a layer and then flecks both of a gold color that made for a sinister looking aura in comparison to before. His hair stood on end and then spiked somewhat, his eyes becoming a blank white as this seemingly limitless Ki continued to pour out from him. The hybrid's muscles pulsed and then grew, his muscle mass increasing somewhat- he even grew an inch, because of it.

When he finally quit powering up, he let out a deep breath and relaxed his stance some. Despite having no pupils to do it with, Artemis could probably tell he had gone back to looking her right in the face. However, no words would be exchanged as he raised his arms spread out to either side asnd then open palm. A bright red energy gathering in each hand, both forming spheres of energy. Mofuka was serious now. He would see to it that the beast-like warrior slumbering deep inside his pure and gentle heart would prove his point for him: he was no boy.

Mofuka made no verbal response, at least not an intelligible one, his rage and hatred were focused sheerly on the woman in front of her. His ki poured from him endlessly, funneling out into the two ki spheres that were growing increasingly large. The hybrid opened his mouth and let out a cry of rage, one to send chills down one's spine as the bloodthirst in it was unmistakable. "Bitch.. BIIIIITCCH!!" He roared in response to her threats of beating him to a pulp. Someone probably shouldn't inform Mofuka once he calmed down that he had used such harsh language in an angry context.

The Saiyan threw his hands forward, putting sphere against sphere, combining them to make one just before firing a barrage of red ki blasts at Artemis. He poured all of what he had into that attack, blasting away until the intensity of his attack hurt even him. Leaving the skin of his hands burnt by his unstable Ki. It was a damned good thing this arena was built to withstand multiple powerful Saiyans fighting in a single sit, otherwise this reckless use of power might have led to more than Artemis taking a heavy beating.

By the time he finished firing, his transformation had been entirely expended and the effects of his wounds was catching up with him. Pain coursing through his entire body. Especially his head and his hands. His anger hadn't yet died, but the energy it had produced had gone all into showing Artemis his full might. "Take.. that." He panted and slouched over, trying to shake the blurriness from his vision. He knew that couldn't have stopped her with just that, and he would still ultimately lose, but he could accept defeat after getting to show Artemis all of what he had.
