Two whole years had gone by.
What this universe could have called peace, was the absence of both the King and Queen of Demons, breaching their way into the mortal realm. Through her Far Seeing Arts, she saw how it allowed the mortal level to grow, as no one was wiped away by the masses, with the force of power that those two had held.
New planets had came to the universe's attention, but the steps their leaders had taken to gain that, was something she and the others could only watch from afar, as civilization had came to be and played itself out. New societies came forth, and new infrastructures were built for its people to enjoy.
What she found the most interesting about these developments however, was how one of the two Saiyan planets, fell into her jurisdiction. She saw enough of the place to know it belonged to that man she had spoke to at the Tournament of Power. A Saiyan, who was offended by her words meant to guide him.
So much had happened during the time she had met that man, and throughout these two years, she had made an effort to understand it all. There were so many things she needed to grasp about this universe, ontop of overseeing her own training, in the case that the mortal level saw any signs of lowering.
The words of her superior from another universe, often held a place on her mind while she did research and trained. The idea that a Kai's life meant more than a mortal, was a belief that she had accepted, because it had came from a more experienced Kai. But what did it really mean then, when showing intervention? If they were not meant to die for them, then how were they supposed to care for the universe without bothering Lord Lagerus or Whis?
The answer wasn't something that had came quickly for her. She and Rin had talked so much about what such a thing had meant, trying to come up with ideas. A lot of mortals were too powerful to really stop, but as a Kai, she could at least offer assistance in saving those who were trying to live.
As much as she had wanted to turn to her eldest for advice, Mayuri was too preoccupied. The strongest golden fruit that had ever came from the kaiju tree within this generation, managing to outlive so many fallen Kais, who gave up their own existence, just to settle on holding lesser knowledge.
The gap of power that was between them, knowing that she had become the second oldest who stayed on their created path, was one she had wished to overcome. If she could manage to be so near that power, or even surpass it and be near of that of their superior from another universe, she had the confidence that she and the others could help lessen the burden of the conflicts these mortals could get themselves into. This universe wasn't meant to suffer again.
The more that she had thought about what being a Kai had meant, including what she was told, and how thankful those she met at the Tournament of Power were, the more it seemed as if being stronger was the answer into preserving her own life, but still being able to intervene like they were supposed to.
Though she also found herself visiting the kaiju tree to pray. When she had left the Tournament of Power, earlier than the others, it had been to think over what she had experienced. How much and how quickly mortals were prone to correcting those who were above them. Their ability to speak and communicate, it was a natural thing for them to have. To punish them for it, would make them fear herself and the others, pushing them away from guidance.
But it allowed her to understand just why they must have had conflict with each other, if they couldn't see who did and didn't deserve respect. It wasn't something that Lord Lagerus would find to be entertaining, if they were not to learn. There were still those unaware of the mortal level, or even believed in its existence, and without the cooperation of the stronger individuals who had helped save the universe, it wouldn't be fixed either.
There was so much in store for her to do, and each prayer that she gave the kaiju tree, she hoped a solution could be given to her. They had yet to fill up the remaining two quadrants that would oversee the Earthlings and the Namekians. She wished for the golden fruit of a Kai to sprout and drop, so that the universe could be whole, and that these Kais would not fall from their path like the others, giving up this existence and this vast knowledge.
It had been a long while, before she had felt the presence of another Kai within the Upper Realms. One who held the jurisdiction of the South, and could look over the Namekians. A golden fruit who was more unique than any of the predecessors she had heard of, because of their origins.
Chione of the South. A soul who was from another universe entirely, a participant of the Tournament of Power, and who was blessed enough to have reincarnated into a Kai. One who she truly hoped would remain on this path of theirs, and not be like the others in their nature.
Being a God of Creation, she now held several years of experience underneath her belt, and it wasn't as difficult as her predecessors seem to have struggle with. Interaction with the mortals didn't require giving up their vast knowledge, but disguises who had a background that could fool others.
They also had Mayuri to aspire to, knowing that she had been apart of this generation far longer than the others. It was a wonder why they chose to give up this life, when being a God of Creation was meant to be something wonderful, and the thought of one falling, brought her feeling sadness.
The mortals and the way that most of them had grew up, held no choice in having to adjust to their conditions. The Saiyans learned to survive by training against Saibamen at a young age, while the Earthlings were incapable of going anywhere without their parents, until reaching a certain age.
There was a difference in knowledge between the two, and the mortals had to be used to what they knew of. But she didn't wish to get used to the idea, that a golden fruit the kaiju tree sprouted, could wind up producing a Kai that had fallen, or gave up the lives of their own existence.
Each Kai had needed a guardian as well, one who was willing to move on from their mortal lives, and she prayed that one day, she'd be able to find someone suitable. Mortals so often displayed their power as a force of good, but so many had also just as quickly gave up that kind of life for something normal.
She was only aware of a handful of mortals, who were working to resist any destruction laid out by the Demons, and so there were also only a few mortals she was able to guide in preparation for any battle. They already trained as hard as they could have, even before her predecessors had intervened, but it just hadn't been something that was enough. Time was the only thing she could help them provide, beyond trying to push them into growing stronger.
Sitting underneath the kotatsu table, while Rin had sat in her lap, it was a strange thing to witness what appeared to be another Kai, was on the planet of her own jurisdiction. The Saiyans there were too strong for any of them, even their eldest, to face off against their king and his forces.
So just what was going on? Had the kaiju tree really sprouted another golden fruit without her knowing? She felt no overwhelming presence take over her, but it was a strange thing to see. However, she knew if this really was another of her kind, then it had also meant all four quadrants now had a God of Creation looking over them. Could it really have been true? She watched calmly through the Far Seeing Arts, and the interaction of this new Kai.
It felt surreal to see what at first, had been normal conversation. She couldn't hear the words that were being spoken of, but she could see the disguise was far from being similar in appearance to what a Saiyan had looked like. The power that new golden fruits typically held, were much lesser than the transformation of their kind as well. She had no worries, knowing this new North, would be able to Kai Kai if needed, but what was the purpose of being on the planet? Even someone like her, though knowing several Saiyans there who felt they were in her gratitude, it wasn't enough to have her be on the planet.
Namek was only a bit better, more filled with good because of the Namekians there, but even the development of the Saiyans there, were something to be careful of. Mortals were to be trusted to an extent. They were the ones who'd watch the universe, and any threats that she and the others couldn't be ready for. But they were a temporary solution to the cause of their own conflicts. She knew it from history, but what was there to do but let it play out?
This fight that was going on with this Kai, she saw things play out, until he had just left. But where, and why? She could have used her ki sensing to detect his presence, but what she could feel was so limited, for someone of her age. Of her power. Instead, she had focused on the disaster he had left behind. One of the Saiyans becoming a Great Ape, who seemed to be influenced by a Demon, had gone and started attacking their own.
But all of those gathered there, they seemed capable enough. It was their own home, and they had their own moon allowing them to transform if needed. That one's aura might have been dark, but it was fine, wasn't it? Time had passed, but it wasn't one which she spent fully watching what went on in the planet.
There was no feeling that something was going to go wrong, and she knew this to be how small scaled that planet's incident was. It wouldn't affect the mortal level, just as much as many other things. Mortals deciding to take their own lives, mortals who got caught in the crossfire of things, unprotected by ki. It was a natural occurrence, one that couldn't be stopped without extreme methods that would essentially rid them of their free will.
These things and more, she had thought about so heavily over time. But she was still young. And her age was something that had her huff now and again. She could make herself look older, but that didn't mean that she was. And being young, showed her lack of experience. Having lesser power than her eldest, also showed where she should have really been. They sounded like options to her, the more she thought about them, rather than what they should be.
A God of Creation was meant to have the power, that others before her already held. She wanted what they had, ways to work for it, rather than to take what was really theirs. But her training hadn't been enough. The Upper Realms had so many souls, though not all of them had bodies they could use against her. While the blessed ones were present, it was her own decision to refrain from contacting them, so as not to influence whether they chose to live again.
And so she waited, knowing that her greater wisdom would alert her, should there truly be an event in need of her to intervene. Those Saiyans, and the Demon that influenced them, weren't enough. She had thoughts about new Kai, as she moved away from the kotatsu to go and play with Rin's paws.
Supreme South, you're a young soul, but it's unnecessary to seek permission. Rin and I have kept watched of that Saiyan planet, and you'd know yourself from our greater wisdom, whether or not there should be trouble. But the new Supreme North, is strange, isn't he? I haven't noticed his presence, and what I saw when he had been on this Saiyan planet earlier, he had actually attacked the mortals. Could he already be falling from grace?"
The telepathic link that had came to her, had been answered as quickly as she had let it hung on her mind. It was strange. To truly have a Kai in each quadrant now, yet they weren't all gathered together, like she could remember learning about how things had used to be for them. They were separated.
Like some of the mortals in a way. And yet there were so many differences. Speaking to what was now one of the youngest of them, she did feel some anger well within her, from remembering just what that strange Kai had done. It was unforgivable to go attacking a mortal, without some kind of cause.
And she had watched long enough to know that there hadn't been. Choosing to move away from her, her eyes had watched Rin leave the room without uttering even a single word, while she waited for her fellow Kai to respond. Anger, it was something that had quickly passed for her, going back instead to wonder.
And it truly was an odd situation. Next to their eldest, she was the one who was nearly always in the Upper Realms. She would have noticed the presence of a new Kai. When Supreme South had been created, she hadn't gone out of her way to greet her, as interested as she was. Her own creation had been similar.
Learning of what the Upper Realms really were, as she was filled with their vast knowledge, and soon after just so happened to be all of the training that she had been introduced to. Studying of the universe that just couldn't be inherently given. And it was interesting that what her fellow Kai had wanted to do, was go onto this Saiyan planet, to go and meet one of those who felt they were in her gratitude. It wasn't the right time, but she trusted things would go well with someone like that with Supreme South. Someone formerly blessed with Kaioken, wasn't granted such things out of some kind of mistake.
Though you're meeting one formerly blessed with Kaioken, I'd advise you to not idle too long in her company. The appearance you chose is more fitting than what Supreme North had chosen, but I'm curious of the background and name you chosen for it.
Her Far Seeing Arts had reopened, watching the younger Kai who was with that Saiyan. A hybrid, as far as she had remembered from watching this one fight. For someone who was allied with these group of Saiyans, rather than that on Namek, there was so much self-sacrifice she saw during the Tournament of Power.
May I ask what are you two drinking? I haven't had the time to experience anything beyond honeydew.
But here those two were, gathered together privately in this building, and drinking some tea. They might have held vast knowledge, but it hadn't meant they'd really had to use it for things like these. And the sight she saw was one that might have been seen as humorous, with how the formerly blessed had drank that tea. Their people enjoyed consuming alcohol, willingly poisoning their bodies, just to shut off some of their normal senses.
She supposed that was what made mortals interesting.
It was a serious accusation.
But at the same time, her thoughts on the new Supreme North, had rang true. A lot of things about his presence was strange, and from the feel of things, he was present on Earth now. Not once had she noticed him stepping foot into the Upper Realms, which wasn't unusual, although it was rather curious.
With how many of them had fallen, and the actions that he had took, she saw it as a possibility that her question had some worth to it. There was no mistake in what she had seen when he had first arrived on this Saiyan planet, and thoughts about her superior from Universe 6, had risen again from it.
If their own lives were more important than a mortal's own, just why was he going on the planet then? Their King held so much power, and more than likely would wind up gaining a more personal audience among Lord Lagerus and Whis. An honor that only a few would have really been able to have received.
She understood the concern of her new fellow Kai, with marking Supreme North as one of the fallen, as it wasn't a fate that she had wished for one of their own as well. Especially when he was even younger than Supreme South was. But if it had happened, they were meant to at least prevent an incident.
Though the lack of their greater wisdom, indicating that such an event would happen, wasn't present. And that feeling of needing to appear, was too overwhelming to be mistaken on what was and wasn't worthy of their intervention. Even this Kai's presence on Earth, wasn't worrying to her.
He attacked the Saiyans on their own land out of fear. The Far Seeing Arts might be limited in sight, but I know what I saw. It's unforgivable to attack a mortal, coming onto their land, and spinning their situation so out of control. If he has really fallen, then something must be done.
It was only through this dimensional telepathy, would Supreme South be able to hear a slight huff from her. One meant to be directed at the incident that happened, and where it could possibly lead in the future. Anger welled inside her again, before passing, as she wondered just how incompetent these Saiyans would have viewed them, to have a Kai run after attacking. His power was too low to give them a challenge in the first place, and while she had two years of training herself, this thought had brought attention to her own lack of power. One of the reasons why she didn't wish to meet any blessed ones.
What would they think of her, to have met them for what felt like so long ago, only to still be weaker than they were? She still wasn't close to their eldest's power, nor their superior from another universe. So much more time was going to be needed, before she could even reach such power.
We could continue to wait and see how he treats the mortals on other planets, but Namek and his own jurisdiction are the only common planets he might be able to visit, without losing his life.
The mortal level had really gotten better than it has been, and she wanted to believe a big part of it was giving them the knowledge, that their universe might be erased if there was otherwise, if not for also knowing it was the leaders of these different planets also preventing something from happening.
This talk about Supreme East, left her pursing her lips into a pout, thinking about just what their eldest must have been up to, for her to have been gone for so long. The longer that their fellow Kai was busy, the more that they would have to preoccupy themselves with, to pick up the pace.
"I'd like that. Your origins are a special case, and its an honor being able to hear of it."
To have someone who had been so truly good in their life, they not only had the blessing to become a golden fruit Kai, but to have also come from a whole other universe. There was so much she had wished to know, from what memories her fellow Kai must have had. She knew there to have been other beings from Universe 4 walking around as well, but interaction with them was something she had yet to do, if only with how unfortunately few there was.
A whole team of 10 mortals from both universes, yet there was only a certain number of them who were deemed good enough, to have come into this universe. Merging with this one, had changed what power she knew some of them held as well, but that was just the start of what a new life was, wasn't it?
"A good background is needed, if we are to interact with mortals in this way. Our way of talking is too different, to normally pretend being one of them, without practice. Still, take caution, knowing we can't fake their transformations, and can only excuse it as being hybrids."
Surprised as she had been to learn where the younger Kai had first wanted to go, it wasn't an issue, so long as they were careful. That new Supreme North, she really should have kept more of an eye on, but she still remained focus on what was going on between these two, looking at the woman who believed she should be thanked. It really hadn't been intentional, what she had done, and she was still against the idea being thankful should even be shown at all.
As much as she had wished to meet with this one, she was disappointed by her own lack of progress since they had met, to really go and do so. Power, and as much as their eldest had held, was the only reason she'd be willing to ever do so at all, outside of some kind of disaster that could happen.
From what we've learned, most mortals tend to forget about these small things. I've mentioned it to you before, but I'll say again my late entrance into watching the Tournament of Power, happened to be the right timing in saving this one's sister. And it only led to the King of Saiyans showing gratitude for what wasn't intentional.
Though if it had been something she did to intentionally rescue that soul, there was no reason she wouldn't have welcomed it. But it was a reverse of the situation. A positive one, but still remained to be something of chance. How could she be proud of such a thing that she only stumbled into?
She wouldn't doubt that there would also be future complications concerning her involvement, in the possibility that the mortal level might have plummeted again. While it was good to be blessed in the presence of Lord Lagerus or Whis, it shouldn't have been necessary for them to do so much work.
Supreme North likely gave the mortals a bad impression of us. It can be fixed, but I don't wish to meet with that one yet. With how much gratitude she seems to hold, I'm certain she'd be disappointed I'm not yet near Supreme East's level of power. We shall talk more when you get back
Two years had passed by, and she was still too far away from reaching their eldest. If she could come close or even surpass Supreme East enough to be near her Universe 6 superior, then she would have really succeeded in what the others couldn’t. This universe would be as better off as Universe 6.
For a moment, it had been a surprising thing to hear that this Saiyan's telepathy was so great, she was able to breach all the way into the Upper Realms. But like a lot of feelings, it wasn't lasting, as she went to wonder instead just how skilled this woman might have been. How much power she held.
A favor was the last thing she had wished to accept at all, at least for the moment, and it made her think about just what would happen after using one. Guided by this woman, would her group start plummeting the mortal level again? No. The tournament must have been so much work for them to even try.
But with how many beings of power could make themselves known, how long would peace really last for this universe?

(Maki uses her Dimensional Telepathy to give Chione permission to be on Yasai. Although since she's the oldest next to Mayuri, it's unnecessary imo to ask permission to visit planets not of their district. Thread in question is here.)
