[103,575 PL - Heavy Weights on - 25,894 PL]
It had been been two nearing three days when this journey had began. His body weighted to train normally but he could feel himself pushed to almost full exhaustion. The strain on his arms and legs as well as the whole of body had been mounting in recent hours more and more. His eyes as well began to feel heavy as sleep called to him. Shaking his head violently from time to time to stir his body to action and pull on what energy he had left to keep from losing his grip. His claws tired and already holding as strong and firmly as his remaining strength would allow. He lightly grunted as each yard climbed began to carry pain in his joins and claws. The ends of his claws lightly burning as well as their base. The flesh had become lightly tinder and a very feign reddish tone taking to them.
He had stopped far to frequently between for rests of late. Some light second thoughts about his action taking him now that he'd had time for the initial wonder to begin to fade to some degree. But what he lacked in present energy he made up for in heart. He'd beaten all the galaxy had thrown at him so far so why should a few more feet to climb stop me? He'd think to himself using it as a reasoning to push himself ever few minutes when the strain weighed heavy on him making the momentum harder with each passing stop. His sandals had been removed on the first day and stuffed in his bag. Using the claws on both his feet and hands to help with grip and traction on the long journey.
While his body pushed itself his mind wondered back to the stories of heroes and ventures this tower inspired. The prospect of possible answers or some knowledge awaiting at its peek tantalizing his imagination as he continued upon his path. It would still be hours and mid to late day he wasn't quite sure at this height when he finally was able to view something further up. A platform or building of some kind. A place where the tower joined into a larger round bottom base to a building of some kind with several small holes he could make a entrance through if he pushed forward just a bit more. Almost losing his grip from excitement at the prospect of finally being able to rest his arms and legs. The idea was enough to give him great joy as he smiled and even chuckled lightly to himself at the mere thought of it.
It may have been the last stretch of his current exertion with the goal in sight. But it felt like several times the distance then it actual was. His arms barely able to lift himself through one of the lower entryway's when he finally made his way up through it. Rolling onto his side after hoisting himself inside and laying flat on his back as he took in heavy weighted breaths. The sensation of even the cold ground under his back a calming respite from the strain his body had been pushed through the last set of days.
The sensation was for the moment to much to bare as exhaustion gave way to the ache in his joins as his eye lids heavy as they were slide closed. His crimson eyes closing as he felt himself relax and give into sleep. The journey taking almost all he had and nearly more then that if not for the final stretch ending with what little resolve he had left. The sensation of passing into slumber and dreams like a warm embrace that was welcomed by his mind as he didn't fight in the least. Not that he had anything left to fight it with of course.
------
A light breeze lightly moving across his face stirred him just lightly. His eyes fidgeted lightly as his eyelids twitched. His arm feeling oddly free as it waved from side to side he could feel as he slowly opened his eyes. But when his crimson eyes opened he nearly leaped out of his skin. His arm and face lightly leaning off the edge of the hole he'd entered at the bottom of this safe haven. Realizing he'd nearly rolled off in his exhausted slumber the evening before. He leaped back landing on his butt with a thud scrambling to his side and after catching his breath from the excitement of the moment eventually clamoring to his feet as well. He'd let a light sigh from his lips as he tried to slow his presently racing heart as he began to turn his attention to the building and stairway leading above. Placing a hand on his chest and hoisting his bag back over his shoulder with his other arm he continued up the stairs to see what would great him.
To his light dismay there was a actual bed further up. A bath area as well along with a few amenities that appeared as if someone had once lived here. The light dust that had set around the area and upon most if not all surfaces though giving light to the idea that it had likely been some time ago when someone last called this place home. There some jars with sacred emblems on them as well. Large things that seemed to be of some importance but whatever contents they once held had long since either decayed away or been emptied out long ago.
He found areas that seemed like they'd been used once for growing plants of some kind. His claws and fingers lightly digging into the old soil that hadn't been touched in quite awhile it seemed. A being born from the ground could tell though this was quality soil. Probably some of the best he'd ever felt between his fingers. It was enough to make him wonder what wonders they must have planted up here. If they held great medicine or perhaps wondrous beauties of exotic flowers. His mind briefly caught in his imagination as he thought of some of the lovely scenery back on namek in his early days. As cruel as it could be at times nature often held a beauty that all could take comfort in even in their darkest of times.
But beyond these discoveries and only questions with no answers little was actually found here. It would only be much later after further exploration he'd find at the tallest height of this building was yet another tower but extremely thin. Barely enough to even be called a pole going further up to yet another platform. He couldn't help but sigh at the prospect of it the idea of further climbing making hims groan as the memory of the last few days pain came rushing back to his dismay.
While he knew what he'd eventually have to do since he'd come truly to far to turn back now. He'd first gain some light rest in this place. Cleaning away some of the dust as well as cleaning the strange growing area even if he had nothing to grow himself. There was some water still stored in this place. Some perhaps gathered from rain in the past as well but he wasn't quite sure. He'd found some old but still good rice as well in one of the pots among the barren ones strewn about the strange living space. With a little effort finding some old fire wood and getting it to light he set to work getting some food boiling in a pot he'd found as the scent of cooking rice wafted in the air. As well as heating up a large portion of what water he had to fill the tub to its fullest height with steaming hot water.
While the food cooked on a low flame to allow it to have plenty of time so he could relax. He slid out of his clothes washing them briefly in a separate bucket of steaming water he'd not added to the tub but instead kept it to clean his clothing. To which after a thorough albeit brief scrubbing. He'd hang them clipping them some things he'd found near one of the openings that served as windows in this strange place to allow the breeze to slowly dry his clothes and while that was to happen...!
He went to the bath now appearing nearly the same as any other of his kind. Lifting over the edge and slowly sinking into the warmth and soothing embrace of the steaming waters. The sensation over taking him as he felt all his aches, pains, and tension in his joints melt away and far out of his mind. All the sweat and gunk his body had gained washed away. The filth leaving his body as the water truly soothed his strange skin and even his hard carapace like body parts that protect his core. While he still ate, drank, and slept like other organic beings. Good warm baths and the warmth of the sun still gave him such respite like one might expect from a plant like being. Allowing himself to relax for nearly a full hour in the embrace as well nodding off for about twenty minutes as well.
When he was done he reluctantly climbed out of the tub the waters beginning to cool now. Draining it disposing of the water over the side of the building wondering shortly after if that was a smart idea... Hoping it would dissipate before hitting the far bellow ground after he'd done it. But his attention soon turned to other things as he ate truly his feel on what all rice remained in storage. The boiled hot food was just the ticket to take care of his other needs. The sensation something of wonderment after what he'd been through and truly the perfect thing to follow up his wondrous bath. The meal was exquisite to him even if it was such a simple thing. After a hard journey any meal would have been like a feast and truly once he ate his feel he felt relieved and relaxed in its purest state. A clawed hand rubbing lightly upon his stomach as he let out a soft sigh. Even if this place hadn't provided any real answers it was oddly relaxing. Truly a place one could find peace if left to wonder for a time. But he didn't seek to call this a home or anything of that matter so when it came time and his clothes had dried he redressed himself still keeping his sandals packed as he knew he had some small climbing left to do and would be on his way.
After making his way upwards to the top of this strange building and looking upward towards the next pillar he could feel the strong winds gusting near him. He didn't allow it to stop him though as he took in another deep breath much like when he was still far bellow at the bast of this incredible marvel. He'd take a grip as best as he could on the small pole that would lead him to the end of this path. Wrapping both his clawed hands as tightly as he could around the pole as well as his clawed feet and toes. Able to snap on a grip much easier now that he'd had a rest, warm bath, and some hot food in his belly.
This stretch of climbing wasn't nearly as hard being rejuvenated and rearing and ready to go. He made his way upward at as quick a pace as he could muster. Mind still ready and in wonder of what might await him. Curious if such heroes in the stories of which he was told might remain or be waiting for him. Hoping if they were they'd have as kind nature and souls as the old kind man far bellow and his people made them sound out to be. It was still a bit of a strain but nothing he couldn't handle. His goal came into view as his hand reached upward gripping onto the ledge as he made his way up. He'd give a light grunt as he'd hoist himself up the strange platform to see what awaited him on this journeys conclusion!
