Rutaba would smile towards the other, supposedly saiyan, individual who would move over and hand Jinjer a piece of cloth. It was a kind gesture, and would at least show somewhat where this person's morals were put. His attention turned next to Demalia, who would ask about him knowing this girl. "It's... kind of a long story to bring up now. Demalia, meet Jinjer. She's... from back home, that community of people I said that took care of me." that was about what he could splurge out on the spot about the subject. He had a LOT more to go over with Demalia about it but it was certainly too much to just, bring up on the spot. There are times and places for things like this, and this didn't feel like either of those.
Jinjer also got his attention, nodding to her as she moved by his leg to hide a bit. It was a childish gesture and he didn't blame her for doing it at all, she was just a kid. "It's all good. It's better that you meet her sooner rather than later." with that said, his attention would immediately be snapped to the subject of a so-called Legendary Super Saiyan. It was a power he had never seen once, but it was definitely a story that people in the academy liked to throw around. He certainly wanted to believe in such a tale himself, but it was one of those things he had no solid proof of to firmly go around preaching about it. The situation surrounding it seemed a bit heated for the most part, so perhaps he shouldn't jump in at all.
Within the next short while, it seemed that the Saiyan he didn't know the name of would get a bit upset over what was being talked about with the person who was trying to spread some sort of truth and knowledge. The Saiyan hobbled away and... well, it was obvious they weren't in the best of situation. Looking between Demalia, Jinjer, and the Preacher, he'd let out a bit of a sigh. "Demalia, can you watch over Jinjer for a bit? I'm sure you have some stuff to talk about with them." he'd gesture towards the Preacher once more so that they were all on the same page. The talk about demons was surely a strong point of conversation for Demalia and he didn't want her to have to break focus to go check on the Saiyan. "I'll go... make sure the other person is okay." at last, he'd look down to Jinjer and smile, lightly tapping her towards Demalia. "Make sure to stick by her, okay? You'll be more than safe by her side." this wasn't exactly an order, and for all, he knew the kid would end up just following by his heels to check on the other Saiyan but what he asked of her wasn't changing.
Now that his mind was made up, Rutaba would lift himself off the ground with flight and head over to wherever the other Saiyan headed off to. It didn't take long of course, and honestly taking flight was unnecessary but convenient. It was just enough time to actually hear what they were saying to themselves. Pumping themselves up was a good thing at least. It wasn't hard to see that their feet were bothering them, and maybe it wasn't his place to actually get into this either but he was a peacekeeper nonetheless, it was his job to help people while he was posted on Plant.
"I can tell you're not having a very good day, so it's good to pump yourself up, but heroes don't have to handle anything alone." that was about all the advice he could offer to start, as he had something else to focus on. He'd walk forward and kneel down in front of this person, staring at their injury for a few moments. "Do you mind if I help with this?" even though he had just barely asked, and didn't exactly expect a positive answer, he'd reach out with one hand to touch them on the shoulder. Not even a second later, a surge of ki would flow from his hand and into their body, seeking out parts of their body that weren't operating as they should be. After the energy's work was done, Rutaba stood back up and moved his hand onto the back of his head. It took him till now to realize he didn't exactly know this person's name, but that could wait for later. The hybrid rubbed her temples with the tips of her fingers, a berated sigh escaping her lips. These two girls were starting to drive her crazy. At this rate they were going to strangle each other. And it was hard to get in a word between the two of them when they got like this.
This person seemed much more reasonable when talking to her at least. She… seemed concerned about her. Demalia felt incredibly guilty that she didn't see things the way she did. It seemed like she wanted to do the right thing. In her own weird way. Demalia twiddled her thumbs as she looked at the other girl.
“Um… I don't need saving. But I would like to know more about demons from you. Can you speak Amesoko's teachings to me? I would like to hear that from you, even though don't believe that the universe is headed to destruction.”
Demalia turned her head, watching as the ride girl approached. She smiled as she watched her pull out a napkin and gave it to the small child. She was very uncouth, rude, and spoke her mind without considering how anyone else thought. But it seemed like she had her heart in the right place. She did want to be a hero after all. That action was enough to wash away how bad she felt about the other girl for the moment.
“In the end they're both things you two believe in. Maybe one of them is true and isn't. Both could be fact or just myths. You don't know, so it isn't right to judge someone just because their belief sounds weird to you.”
Demalia just looked at Talsa with a puzzled expression as she hobbled off. Random nice lady? Well that was far from the worst nickname that she had been called. She would have gone after her, but her boyfriend insisted that he would make sure she was alright. She nodded in his direction.
“It seems like you have to catch me up on some things. I’ll watch Jinger and make sure she’s alright then. I do have a lot I want to say to this other person too.”
Demalia stayed next to Jinger, turning to look at the rather... enthusiastic believer girl. That was a positive way to describe it… she hoped.
“Um… what’s your name? I’m Demalia. Better late than never to introduce ourselves, right?”
Chivi looked pretty close to either strangling Talsa, or at least hurting her, though she was stopped once the Tuffle started to speak to her, asking about demons and Amesoko! she quickly went back to completely ignoring Talsa.
"Oh! I know a bit about demons.. i mean, i'm not a FULL demon." Chivi.. had no idea about much demon things, she had no idea what Makai was, or any notable demons.. except the ones on her planet, and Amesoko.. she knew a bit about the teachings.
"Amesoko values strength! if you're not that strong, you aren't that useful.. well, you can be useful in other ways.. in fact, i was pretty much not very useful, until i found out i was the hero! Amesoko also doesn't allow the existence of other gods! Or, false gods, as i like to call them."
What she said was pretty much talking to a brick wall, Chivi wasn't going to listen to stuff like that.. "..Yes, but Amesoko IS real, if Amesoko was fake, why was i chosen as the hero? why was i sent to this planet? If Amesoko was fake, i wouldn't be doing any of this!"
As she walked away, Chivi responded.
"Chivi." She didn't say any last name, was she hiding it, or did she simply just not know, or not have one? "Anywaaays.." she turned back to Talsa, to continue her ranting. "I'm not doing any shoveling, i'm just spreading the WORD of Amesoko!" Chivi watched as she walked away, huffing. "Guess she's not very accepting others beliefs." Chivi had no idea how hypocritical she was sounding.. she just waited, watching the small child, and the other.. taller man, She only really knew Demalia's name.. she was thinking a bit.. still surprised that people weren't as accepting of Amesoko, they told her that "her words would save them" but.. it wasn't seeming to work very well, Was she even on the right planet?! She sighed, maybe she'd go after that child.. and try to convert introduce Amesoko to her! Not right now though, she'd wait for your chances.
"..Oh, another question, Demalia.. what.. are you? like.. your species." Chivi had no clue about other species! She was.. REALLY sheltered, all she knew were Demons, and Saiyans, and she was both..
Chivi did step a bit closer though, to spy watch what Talsa, and that tall man was doing.
Talsa's burning need to wrap he arms around Chivi's neck and start squeezing hard till windpipes start breaking was overtly flushed away when the little give her a shy smile in return, Tasla's heroic facade melting away like an icecream left out on a hot summers day, such as this one. She would returns Jinjers smile, a bright, genuine look pasted across her face for a few seconds until her foot had started to act up, causing her to hobble back behind that goddam rock.
She couldn't help but find herself in some form of pain as she took a better look at the foot. This wasn't going to be impossible to walk in, it was just going to be a rule chore to trudge through. She sighed as she started to try to cover as much stinky foot skin as possible with bandages and tape, all that seemed worthless as they slowly started to peel off, causing great annoyance for Talsa. The young Sayian would just hide under her breathe, a colour cast of swear words being used. Things really didn't get much better as she heard foot steps.
She held a direct glare at whoever had even think to bother her at such a time, she frowned as she guessed her someone had saw right through her tricky and her plans had been spoiled. She just bit her tongue as the older Sayain had caught her red handed. As Rutaba spoke Talsa tilted her head. He wasn't a wrong per say, but it wasn't something Talsa exactly agreed with, but she could see where he was coming from, which was a very rare first. "Well I'm not that kinda hero! I ride solo unless people wanna follow me, like time leader!" She said smugly, but winced as she moved her foot. "...But, in cases such as this, allowing others to preform there own heroism is... Fine..." She huffed, she didn't want help, clearly! But wasn't stopping Rutaba from trying.
Talsa jumped a bit as he touched but eyes began to lit up as her foot felt so much better, a blast of healing flowing through her. She paused for a minute to check the wounds, everything almost clearly up. She was quick get back on her feet, pulling a stupid twirl and a dance as she. "Holy shit! Everything feels so much better know!" She beamed, pointing her finger directly at Rutaba. "You must be some pretty powerful hero to do that! I feel amazing!" She continued firing herself up.
"You got a name super tall dude?!" She questioned, armed still raise at him, high. "Heroes like you and me gotta have names here! Mines Talsa!!!"
She felt a little shy trying to remain near if not getting behind Rhutaba. He explained her situation or at least started to and she only clamored up not sure what to add or if she even wanted to right now feeling a bit embarrassed at her state of appearance and her queasy stomach all a bother things to the other entity inside. Each time she got a little away from him she on impulse went back. He was the closet thing she had to a guardian really anymore. Even if they didn't know each other well as of yet her only protection in this world was him... That and other ideals she didn't dare or desire taking control.
She still felt a bit nauseous but tried to clear her throat as Rhutaba tried to take charge of the situation and help out those in need nearby. It was a little strange the more her mind cleared seeing so many people around in the moment. This little excursion of hers clearly not have been one of her best ideas thus far that was for sure. "I..I mean... Okay." She'd mutter out quickly and nervously as he really didn't seem to give her much time to eject as she'd turn back to Demalia shortly there after.
She perked up a bit almost looking surprised when Demalia offered a more official introduction. She blinked a couple times surprised and perhaps a bit shyly. She'd been so caring and kind and even know it almost seemed a bit strange to Jinjer as he cheeks pinkened a little from being lightly flustered. "Oh, I'm Jinjer... I haven't been her long though I only just got picked up by Rhutaba not long back... It's nice to meet you Demalia." She'd say trying to offer a soft smile almost hidden by her long bangs of her hair that lightly hung over her face when she leaned forward or ducked her head lightly. She'd take a extra moment as well finishing wiping her mouth and face off feeling a bit nervous suddenly with how she may have looked during such introductions. She seemed a nervous as well as shy likely not wanting to mess this up given how much of a mess her landing had been when she first met Rhutaba. She couldn't have all introductions be this chaotic right? RIGHT!? Her eyes now and again wondering at the others around. It all was quite a bit to take in during the moment all the while dealing with the chuckling in her head and other little trickles finding it funny each time she struggled to keep this as normal as she could.
It seemed this person was more of a solo hero, which was fine in its own right. He had nothing to really rebuttal on the topic as everyone had their own feelings regarding these things. "That's all fine, I was riding solo myself for a long while. But I promise you, someday you'll meet someone who makes you want to have others by your side. Even if you are the leader!" he'd chuckle a bit, thinking back to Demalia. She was his partner now in a way and while neither of them was leader or anything, he couldn't say that he could confidently go back to being alone after that.
Despite the slightly Tsundere response of him trying to help, Rutaba would be proud of himself a bit as he healed this fellow Saiyan, a smirk on his face as their attitude seemed to turn around in an instant. That was what he worked for, those smiles and reactions. He couldn't help but laugh a bit as she twirled and danced, that must have done the trick. They went on to call him an amazing hero of sorts. He wasn't really anything like that... but it still felt good to hear. "Well, thank you. I'm just a Peacekeeper for the SDF though." he tried to be a bit humble about it. He was the third strongest person he knew in all honesty... and the second strongest Saiyan behind the Saiyan King themselves. There were surely more people stronger, he just wasn't sure of them. Supposedly the wife of King Aspar was mighty in her own right but he couldn't tell just HOW mighty.
Next up, they asked his name. He blinked a few times before nodding. "My name's Rutaba, nice to meet you Talsa. You seem pretty excitable about hero stuff you know, that's always a good quality to have." he couldn't help but comment on what he was seeing here. It felt like watching a pure-hearted child who had just heard a story about something they like. It sort of reminded him of the passion he had to be Saiyan King when he was younger. That passion carried him through the academy and even to this day. That dream had yet to shatter, even if it was a lot less expressed outside. To say the least, it was something he liked seeing in someone else. This kid would likely go far some day. But as they said, they were currently flying solo, it wasn't his place to watch that quality grow.
By then, he was sort of feeling worried about Jinjer as well. She was with Demalia so it was most likely all fine, but still, something in him wanted to make sure she was alright. "I'm going to head back to that other group now if you wanna tag along, that kid is my responsibility so I don't want to leave her for too long. I'm glad I was able to help a bit." it was a very passive invite to Talsa, he didn't exactly expect them to head back with him though. She left on her own accord so it'd be her own decision to go back.
With a bit of a goodbye salute, Rutaba would hover upwards and fly back towards the group of three that he had briefly left behind. The first thing he did was touch Jinjer on the shoulder to let her know he was back, before looking to Demalia with a smile. "Thank you for staying by her, I'll catch you up on everything soon. It's been a hectic little while for sure." he sounded a bit awkward about the whole thing. He honestly wanted to sit down with Demalia and discuss the whole Jinjer situation on his own time when they were alone. But Jinjer managed to meet Demalia first... this was going to be a lot more pressured to explain in the end but he had to stay strong.
Regardless of that, his gaze turned towards the preacher lady to sort of be there and listen to what she had to say now. He didn't want to butt in on this important stuff really, but he also wanted to be there. WC: 701 TWC: 2,371 Stamina: 2/3 -> 3/3 Remaining
Well, that sure was helpful. Demalia had been given a bare bones explanation of Amesoko’s mythos. She didn’t expect this person to go over her entire belief system in one conversation, but she figured she would get more info then this. Well, it was better than nothing.her eyes widened as Chivi revealed what she was.
“You’re a half demon? I've never met one before. I'm part Tuffle part Brenchian. It's why my height is so much different compared to the rest of my brethren.”
Demalia shuffled her feet, averting her gaze away from Chivi. She felt uncomfortable lying to her like that. She felt like Chivi would amp up her attempts to convert her to her religion if she knew what she was. It was also something she didn't want to mention out loud for strangers to overhear.
She looked down as Jinger introduced herself, smiling back at the young girl. She looked so adorable, and she seemed to be doing alright now. She looked up as Rutaba came back to her, a smile still gracing her lips.
“I am rather perplexed at how you managed to condense so much into a small amount of time. It’s something I want to hear, but we have a few more important things to take care of right now.”
Demalia turned and looked back over at the demon preacher. She seemed to be young going around and spreading the word of her religion like this. She wanted to know more of why someone so young was partaking in this endeavor. Was it normal for her people to go out to other planets this young and spread their religion?
Chivi had a somewhat.. smug grin? She was trying to hold it back, but seeing Talsa's reaction.. and how she was trying to censor itself - it was pretty funny! Either way, it was a pretty punchable face. "I am not shoveling anything down anyone's throat, i am simply educating, which is one of my duties as a hero." she sounded more like an annoying preacher than a hero, if anything.. she watched as Talsa went away - maybe she'd try to convert educate her later.. or just move onto someone else as she probably wasn't going to start listening now!
Well, either way - she had a bunch of new people to educate! Like that kid who was vomiting earlier - kids are usually easy to convince! Chivi just sat on a nearby rock, watching as Jinjer wiped her face.. though, now she was thinking about that whole Legendary Super Saiyan thing mentioned earlier - did that saiyan she was just talking to also have that power? If she did, she may not want to try to get her to join her religion - again, even though she had no real idea on what a Legendary Super Saiyan was.. all she knew that it involved "uncontrollable power" which.. sounded pretty dangerous.
Chivi kind of forgot to try to "educate" people and now was just sitting on a rock, thinking about Legendary Super Saiyans in general really - also the fact that she may be one, they never said it outright, but some others on her planet have alluded to it.. which was weird, as she was mostly demon, right? Well, that's what most people on her planet told her. How could a demon be a legendary super saiyan? Either way, she didn't know..
Either way, she stood up and decided to look for someone else to talk to - she already tried that saiyan, and that tuffle - now she was going to try to talk to that child, and that uh.. guy that she didn't really know the race of.
Talsa would just give Rutaba a dumb grin as he continued to speak, this guy was awesome! And the hero type of course, he was handsome, powerful and had a super cool outfit - everything Talsa wanted!!! As he mentioned going back Talsa would quick to speak up. "Oh! Oh! I wanna come! I wanna come!" She'd huff, and quick to trail after him as he flew. Talsa may of been a complete and utter klutz and well, failure of a Saiyan but if there was actually one thing she could do right - was fly. She'd follow him within a reasonable rate, and as he landed she was one to do so two, she kept her distance thought, she didn't want to seem two invested here!
She was lessed then impressed when that Chivi girl was still here, but Talsa began to think she probably wasn't going anywhere, huh? This was a city block, she couldn't just slam a door on her face and watch her leave, she was probably staying and unless Talsa got psychically nothing was going to change. Okay! Fine! Whatever! Talsa was just going to need to set some rules out and make things very clear!!! She'd first make herself known by slamming her foot on the ground - yes the one poor Rutaba just healed and pointed towards Chivi in a dramatic, stupid flare.
"You!"
Her face was grumpy, but not mean spirited, just moody if anything. "I can't stop you from well... Talking to other people, that's your right or whatever I guess! Fine! Sure! But you don't go near the kid? Okay!" She made herself clear! Didn't she? "Go ahead and drag all the adults you want into your little... Cu - I mean belief! But not kids." She'd start. "Kids are like... Their not adults! Which means... Uh..." She needed a few seconds to think of the words here, she new what she was saying but nothing was coming up!
"..Un.. Well kids aren't as big or as smart as adults!" Yeah, that was it! "Meaning they can't like, think as much, and it's just a jerk think to pray on those who are clearly still growing, learning and uh, um - are naive!" That was the word she was looking for!
...Talsa also wasn't going to admit her distaste towards this girl was partly due to her how she'd remember her mother would manipulative her. She'd make her feel bad! And stupid! And make Talsa do things out of that guilt! And Talsa didn't think anyone should go through that!
