After her recent trip out to the ruins of one set of her ancestors and the makeshift resting place of her dear friends, she was reminded again that before she could even dream of something like taking strays under her arm to teach them her particular brand of fighting style, she needed to gain strength. To that extent, she had scrounged up what money that had been left to her by her late mother and her father. She had purchased a new place to live, a gravity machine and even had a set of clothes designed especially for training. a white t-shirt, a leotard to go underneath it and weighted socks, shoes and wristbands. She'd already packed up a good deal of her mother's belongings into boxes and gone about shifting them over to the new place, which might have caught her some looks since she was doing it in just her overalls.
Compared to the beaten up house that her father and she had lived in for ages, the mansion she had purchased was a hot pink on the outside with a sterile white paint for the walls. It was a bit unnerving, but she figured she could just paint over it at a later date. The up side was that there were more rooms to the place. More than enough space for her to install that G-Machine. Nosy, posh neighbours aside, things were going smoothly. Her mother's books had been stored in the bedroom and the living room had a much bigger television set up - not the artifact left back in the old place. The only thing left to do was to change into her training outfit and get to fixing up the Gravity Machine. She wasn't exactly expecting guests, not since she couldn't feel Karah's ki on the surface of the planet anymore, which meant that a potential student had bailed out on her.
Mizuna rationalized that nothing of great value had been lost with that one's departure. While she did show some promise, there would be other fighters she could rally to her cause. For now, she was in her comfort zone of tinkering with a machine in her overalls with sweat running down her body. The snobby upper class denizens probably wouldn't bother her; she dressed like she came from the slums and that subjected to her to the usual conclusion that she was dirty and with that assumption, they weren't exactly wrong, but she wanted something to show her father when he returned home from his long absence from the planet - something he could be proud of; that meant growing stronger and that in turn meant getting her hands dirty. "No half measures will do. I have to get stronger - so I can take those bastards out and show father that I haven't been sitting idle all these years." she muttered to herself, finishing up the final touches of the machine.
She wasn't going to flip it on immediately, of course - she needed to take a bath and get changed into her training getup, which was something she set out to do, tossing things into the laundry hamper in her bedroom before skipping off for the bath. It wasn't a long one, just a quick wash and get out and dart back to her room where she dried off and got changed into her training outfit, immediately noticing the weights. This was going to be one hell of an experience, that was for sure.
"THAT ALL YA GOT!?" Solana bellowed at her chosen opponent of the day as the two soared through the skies of the city. While at first it was strange for anyone to behold the Saiyan Princess outside the castle walls, it was quickly becoming more common place to see the girl picking fights with anyone that would entertain her. This time she'd done it, choosing to pick a fight with a soldier instead of a civilian. She'd gotten bored of her trainers, wanting to push her limits and what better way to do that then fight a few of their soldiers! Of course... she hadn't been very nice about it... and here they were, soaring through the skies at amazing speeds. She was definitely having fun, the soldier however not so much.
"Princess or not I'll teach you some fucking manners you brat!" The soldier yelled out at the girl, quite suddenly closing the gap between himself and the princess with his superior speed. He would ram right into her, grabbing her by the neck then sending them both into a plumet towards the ground. They passed one house after the next until finally Karah's mansion, obnoxious and pink, was the one that seemed to be in their way.
The two crashed into the soil of the mansion's large yard, creating quite the crater underneath them as they fought. Solana would gasp audibly as the wind was knocked out of her lungs, and she reached up and grabbed the larger man's wrist with a defiant look in her eyes. She opened her mouth to speak but found no words escaping her lips, so instead of a snarky remark, she settled for the easiest solution at this angle. A prompt kick to the groin. The man's grip instantly eased up, and Solana was able to get a rather square punch to the man's face to get him off of her, rolling over and leaping up out of the crater and looking down at him.
"Say uncle and you can stop getting beat up by this little girl~!"
Mizuna had been in the middle of drying her body and hair off when she heard a loud crash outside of her newly acquired mansion. Part of her was more than willing to write it off as some pompous rich brat crashing their vehicle into some part of the street in a drunken stupor. She rationalised, or tried to rationalise that it wouldn't exactly be a good idea to go investigate the noise in a towel, but that was before she heard a girl's voice literally just outside of her window, which meant there was someone on her property, rather than simply near it! It sounded like whoever that was had things under control, but the large crater she'd seen from the window definitely caught her interest, which was of course the main reason for her sliding down the rail of the stairway instead of taking the stairs, forgetting entirely that she was still only wearing a single white bath towel around her torso.
When she reached the bottom of the stairs and consequently, the front entrance to the house, she pulled the door open to the sight of a dark haired girl taunting a downed opponent that looked like a soldier from the castle. Which raised more questions and reminded her why she disliked the crown. That self important attitude that excluded the little people was the very reason she had not informed any of the crown of her little run-in with slavers all those years back. Not only was she mixed blood, she was the daughter of a low born Saiyan. "So, I've gotta ask," Mizuna spoke up from her spot on the porch, leaning up against the door frame, arms crossed over her chest in mild amusement. "Are you having fun beating on some errand boy or were you just cruising the neighbourhood looking for a real warrior?" she gestured to herself with a thumb to implicate herself being that 'real warrior'. If nothing else, Mizuna was confident in her abilities. Her looks, too, if her daring to step foot outside of her house in naught but a towel was anything to go by. "I don't know what the tin can soldier wants with you, but since it looks like he won't be getting up any time soon, why don't you come inside? There's free food and drinks and a wide space to throw down in if that floats your boat. It's gotta be better than standing out here with a dead fish like that guy laying face down in the dirt over there like it's a Wednesday." Mizuna didn't consider for one moment that her joke might have been in bad taste, or that maybe her invitation could come across as overly familiar.
As Mizuna came busting out of the house, Solana couldn't help it roll her eyes immediately assuming that the voice must belong to someone from the palace telling her to back off. However when she looked over she saw a rather good-looking redhead wearing nothing but a towel pointing to herself claiming to be a true warrior. She raised an eyebrow when she looked at the girl a smart Crossing her face as her hands went to her hips.
" wha- and who do you think you are exactly you don't really look like much of a warrior to me." She stated with doubt obvious in her eyes as she looked at the girl up and down. Is going to look to be older than her so no doubt if she had been training that you would be stronger, she just really didn't look like it right now.
Solana would then look back towards the downed Soldier with disdain in her eyes. She stuck her tongue towards the man before speaking again.
" you need to run back to the Palace now before my patience for you Runs Out. Why don't you be a good little errand boy until Daddy that I'm going to be out for a while." She said mockingly before looking towards mizuna once more. She supposed to have someone have to go on to run outside their house naked claiming to be a powerful warriors to give them that chance. If you wasn't in this girl was just going to be in for the beating of her life.
"Alright naked lady, you think you have what it takes to beat me? Fine! Then I accept your challenge. Why don't we go inside and you can put some clothes on first, then we can get down to the fun stuff. Oh and food actually sounds really nice kind of starving right now!" She exclaimed with a renewed excitement at the offer of a fight against a powerful Warrior. She really just wanted to find someone at her own level that she could spar with, someone that wasn't sent by her father, or just part of the Guard.
Mizuna couldn't but overhear something that immediately soured her mood. "Well, this is unexpected. Should I curtsy, your royal highness?" she asked, her voice practically dripping with sarcasm. She had no intention of extending any sort of special treatment for her dark haired visitor. Princess or not, that wasn't going to stop Mizuna from running her amber irises up and down her curves, inspecting the goods as it were. "I have a name, by the way; it's Mizuna. not 'naked lady', Princess." she fired back at the Princess, playing with the idea of just opening her towel up then and there to give the princess a memorable show, but she was quick to dismiss the idea. No matter how enjoyable it would be to see a shocked expression on her face, flashing her would be like cheating.
Mizuna was still intent on sassing the princess at every turn she got. She was no fan of royalty and their stuck up dispositions and it seemed to be the same with this girl. All the same, she held the door open for her royal guest - but not because she was royalty - making her way inside after her, shutting the door afterwards. She wasn't exactly lying about the free food part; there were frozen foods set out on the kitchen bench and the refrigerator was stocked with plenty of bottles of water, a few cans of soda in them, as well as a couple of bottles of Mizuna's particular favourite - Champagne. That was for special occasions and rough nights, though, certainly not something she'd break out for someone she was meeting for the first time.
Mizuna opened up the refrigerator and extracted two cans of soda, tossing one at the dark haired woman. "Get comfortable, I won't be long, I promise." whether or not her royal guest was able to catch the can she'd lobbed at her, Mizuna ended her instruction with a playful wink and a finger gun gesture before making her way upstairs to get changed into her training outfit, which was really just a white t-shirt that came to about the midriff and a red sleeveless unitard underneath it that ended about mid-thigh. There were also a pair of soft pink wristbands - yet another relic left behind by her mother. She brought herself downstairs to find her new guest, who by now, she surmised, would have discovered that there was no readily available food. Rather than tell the princess up front that she had decent skill with cooking meals since she worked at the local bar as a waitress, she decided to wait until her guest complained about food. "So, what was up with that guy on my yard anyway? Was he your babysitter?" she took another patronizing jab in jest at the member of the royal family. By now, she hoped that the little princess was well aware of her disdain for royalty.
"If you knew your place you would, but I guest most low class saiyans don't" Solana retorted with just as much sarcasm and disdain in her voice as Mizuna as she followed her. She wasn't about to let a snake sink her fangs into her without biting back. Like hell. The only reason Solana stayed here was because Mizuna offered up a challenge she would never refuse. Solana wanted to get stronger on her own, find her own opponents and grow her own way, and if that meant beating down a few lower class saiyans than whatever. She was just about ready to ditch Sadala as a whole for a while... as soon as she could get a ship off world without the King noticing, she was gone for a good while. She knew her duty as princess was here... but she wouldn't have to beat her father for years to come, so she had plenty of time to take off and grow.
As mizuna inspected her however, she just raised her eyebrow again then rolled her eyes as she introduced herself as Mizuna.
"I never asked for your name, but if you're so adamant against 'naked Lady' I guess Mizuna will have to do." she said shortly, never offering her host her own name, as to Solana that much was common knowledge. The Kingdom as a whole knew of her, and so if Mizuna made the correlation that she was in fact this Kingdoms princess, than she would also know of her name. It seemed pointless to her to introduce herself.
Solana then glanced around the kitchen as they walked inside, still looking as disgruntled as she was when they were outside. What was this 'food' lying about? She didn't recognize most of it honestly... and even as Mizuna opened the fridge and tossed her a soda, she would catch it only to look at it curiously. What the hell did these commoners consume exactly? She gave the can a shake, hearing the fluid inside and feeling the buildup in the can itself. While mizuna was gone to change, Solana would pry the can open, spraying the contents up into the air and all over her hands.
"Yikes!" She chirped as she promptly tossed the can into the sink where it began to spin wildly as it sprayed its contents round and round until the pressure finally died down and the can stopped. She shook out her hands with a disgusted look on her face as she went over to the sink once it was safe to wash her hands off the sticky syrup. Nasty stuff. She then grabbed a dishcloth she found resting on the counter and tossed it onto the mess she had made to let the towel soak it up while she shook out her hands. That's when Mizuna walked back in, and Solana looked towards her with a look of disbelief on her face, as if all of this had been one big trap for her. Mizuna didn't seem phased by it at all, instead asking what was up with the guard she had just been fighting. Her attitude on the whole internal situation changed as Solana scoffed.
"Basically. My father's always assigning guards to watch me to make sure I stay inside the palace. he's so paranoid that his enemies are going to jump out of the shadows and shank me just to get to him. Tsh, yeah right, like I'm so weak to let some grunt off the streets get me." She grumbled, crossing her arms now as she looked back towards the now dressed Mizuna.
"My place, huh?" Mizuna relished the chance to scoff at the very notion that she was part of some hierarchy now that she was dressed and back downstairs. Yeah - no; she didn't exactly have a place in the Kingdom's established hierarchy, come to think of it. "Didn't think there was room in the hierarchy for a half blood, but you're right on the low born part, so I'm afraid you do need to give me your name like a normal person, precious." the more she spoke with the Princess, the less inclined she was to treat her with disdain and contempt. In all honesty, she'd kind of expected that someone of Solana's status would fumble with contraptions that existed for the common person and hearing the usual routine from the other's perspective added weight to her assumption, so of course she wasn't surprised or phased.
The paranoia of the King wasn't much shock to Mizuna either, who simply lifted an eyebrow at the story of an overprotective father. "So he keeps you caged up like a defenseless damsel in distress, huh? Guess that means you don't want a bite to eat before we get down to throwing hands at each other, then? I figured I was going to wine and dine you before getting to the main course." Mizuna teased further with another question and a completely unnecessary piece of commentary that had every ounce of cheek in it. Oh, she knew the etiquette with royalty - she just didn't care for it and suspected that her royal company didn't exactly care for being treated like a delicate house ornament either. To that extent, the red haired half blood had no qualms of forgoing any sort of toe kissing that was usually associated with the lower class interacting with royalty, but she wasn't going to let Solana fight on an empty stomach.
Emerging victorious over an opponent because of some unfair advantage she had over them just wasn't her style. She was going to make sure her guest was at least properly fed before engaging in any sort of combat with her. "I've got no problem with giving you the pounding you're after, but it wouldn't be much fun if you weren't at full power, so again, I'll ask you: do you just wanna get straight into the action, or do you want dinner first?" her tone had changed from one of condescension to one mixed with concern and even a sense of pride. She was adamant about making sure her guest was in top fighting shape before engaging her.
"the hierarchy has nothing to do with the fact that you're a pure blooded saiyan or not. My father isn't the King because he inherited the throne from his father, he fought for it and was victorious. Those in his court are also powerful saiyans. You earn your place, you don't inherit it." Solana clarified to the redhead as if she was an idiot for not knowing this... it was still rather recent that her father had claimed the throne from the previous King... well.. okay so 16 ish years wasn't a short amount of time but still... shouldn't she know this?
She looked at the half saiyan with a raised eyebrow, now curious more so than before as to where the heck she was actually from. Even the commoners knew about the history of the planet, about her father and about her family. She let out a light huff whenever Mizuna then said she would have to introduce herself as that made her realize... she'd never had to do so in the past. Everyone just knew who she was... she found herself at a temporary loss for words, trying to think of how people usually introduced her then formulated her own, not so formal one in her head. It was pretty simple, just give her name right?
"It's Solana. Or Sol, and yeah he basically does. He trains me but it's boring as fuck. I want to get out and see the world for myself, grow on my own you know." She explained, sounding a bit more passionate about her desire to be free of her fathers over-protectiveness. The last few months had truly been her first steps out into the world as she fought the guards, her trainers and anyone that got in her way. Now she found herself here, and could pick her own fight. It might be some strange half breed, but whatever, maybe she was super strong behind all that weirdness.
"I'm fine, i'll eat when I get back home. Lets just fight already! Jeeze why are you stalling!?" sol asked now a bit more impatiently as she crossed her arms and huffed, narrowing her eyes on Mizuna as she was just itching to get into another fight right then and there. Though if they were going to fight inside the house, shit was going to get wrecked.
