Malana "..."

Personality
Malana typically treats everyone with a sort of cold shoulder, being relatively silent and preferring not to speak. Even with people that she herself would consider a friend, she tries not to speak much and prefers to show how she's feeling through physical expression and gestures. This is not to say that she dislikes people, but rather she has no care to express it outwardly.
She tends to find herself as neither a leader or a follower, preferring to just be a lone wolf. When she does make friends, they are typically slow coming due to her intense lack of vocal communication. When meeting somebody new, she typically has a pretty neutral response to them unless they seem outwardly imposing or threatening to her wellbeing.
While alone, Malana usually focuses on survival. Being a nomadic isolationist and a Konatsian, she spends most of her time in the wilds making sure that she'll make it through the following days. Few things are able to actually make her want to speak, but she can be quite excitable over things she's particularly interested in, causing her to speak up like an excited little kid rather than the normally quiet and reserved shell she normally hides inside of.

Backstory
For the most part, the birth and relative upbringing of Malana was as standard as could be given to a child of a nomadic village of Konatsians. She was born to two full-blooded Konatsian parents, leaving her to be a pureblood and take on all of the normal traits that make up a Konatsian like vibrant purple hair and sharp pointy ears.
As she grew up, she was taught to hunt and fight by the tight-knit members of the village allowing her to gain knowledge from not just her parents, but everyone around her. Everything was very peaceful in the nomadic village she grew in, everyone she knew being considered family as she got older and older.
Once she hit eight years of age, she was given an heirloom weapon by her parents. A hammer simply called the Valiant Hammer. Its condition was weathered and it could hardly be considered a workable weapon. The deteriorated state of this weapon was, in fact, her first major test to becoming a proper Konatsian. Over the next couple of years, Malana learned her way around the crafting process of weapons.
By the time Malana was ten, she finally repaired and refined the Valiant Hammer to her liking, making it an artifact worthy of being called the heirloom of her family that she cherished so much. She was finally able to make weapons to her liking, and while she could make an assortment of other weapons as she saw fit, nothing could ever come close to the Valiant Hammer.
During this time, and well into the couple years following the restoration of her hammer, Malana continued to be trained in combat to become a well-versed Konatsian fighter as well as gifted user of all sorts of weaponplay. All of the ways that people could use weapons out in the universe, she could do better. Only those who actually train themselves to mastery with a weapon could claim to be better than her. That was her birthright as a Konatsian.
Everything changed for the young Konatsian girl's village as a raging storm surged across their land. Extreme wings, pouring rain, and violent crackling lightning pounded upon the place she considered home. While most of their nomadic homes were ravaged, most of them came out unscathed aside from Malana herself. Her parents told her to discard any metallic objects, but her heirloom weapon was far too important to her. Almost as if she herself was punished for not listening, a lightning strike directed itself within a couple of feet of Malana, more than close enough for the current to instead be diverted onto her hammer. Within an instant, the girl was electrocuted all over by the lightning. She was far too weak to take it head-on... but had gotten too strong to be taken out immediately. The next dozen seconds were pure agony for her, every part of her body becoming well accommodated with the feeling of the lightning. The pain, the burning, the raw energy.
Sure enough, the young girl fell unconscious from the effects of this event and wouldn't wake for multiple days. Upon waking, she found herself being taken care of diligently by the members of her village. While it could be seen as traumatic, the girl's body remembered far too vividly the agony of the lightning that coursed through her body. But it also imprinted on her. Every time she tried to focus the ki in her body, all she could visualize was the raw electric energy that washed over her at that moment. It was both a curse that she could only ever think back to that moment, but also a blessing as she had a newfound way to project her ki and visualize it. That imprinting soon enough became apart of her entire skillset. It was what she was known for.
This event that changed so much of the girl's life also caused one other side-effect. Over the year leading to Malana turning fifteen, she fell incredibly silent. She was by no means mute, but it was like it pained her to force words out, and a once bubbly excitable Konatsian girl turned almost neutral towards most things. Her emotions seldom shown through her expressions and gestures, but words leaving her lips only happened a few times in a given day. Through both her new ki affinity, as well as her more silent facade, she was soon given the nickname 'Silent Thunder', although her techniques were all but silent themselves.
Upon Malana turning fifteen years of age, it was finally time for her to be turned loose upon the outside world. She was to become stronger and grow on her own merits. The nomads she was leaving behind would always be there for her to return to, much like her parents would as well. But she was free to find where she wanted to be in the world, or better yet the entire universe. Whether she moved to a different village, a city or even a whole new world was up to her. All that she knew, was that her journey was her own to decide.
