She couldn't stay here for too long.
Each passing second would give him the advantage, and that couldn't happen. It wouldn't be easy, but she at least had to try. She left her hiding spot behind some cliff, and pushed her ki underneath her, allowing her to take flight. The wind felt nice today. There were some boar around here that would make a good meal later. She could hardly wait too. It was fun being able tackle one, and kind of wrestle it.
What wasn't fun, was when she accidentally put too much pressure, and punctured it. Or even worse. She could have accidentally crushed it's bones. Imagining the smell of blood, or the cry of pain, was sending shivers down her spine.
Oh. There he was.
She didn't stop flying when she briefly allowed her ki to be sensed. There wouldn't be enough time to hide again if she did. The moment he revealed his own ki, he was using all the time he had to just fly around to search for her. And by far, he was the fastest between the two of them. She found it a bit unfair, personally. But it also made her want to go even faster. It wasn't possible right now, since it would require much more training, but it at least felt like it.
This time, she chose to hide behind some trees. Her tiny frame made it easy to blend in, but it didn't mean she was actually safe. The wind suddenly rushing by above the trees, was a sign that her father had just passed her.
Hee hee.
He was currently headed in the opposite direction at a speed far above her own. After about a moment or so, she had peeked out from behind her hiding spot. Her palms were held out in the air, fingertips facing down, as if she was going to claw something. Ki was quickly being channeled at the center, and immediately after, she started to fire. A barrage of pink energy blasts were fired aimlessly in the air, towards the direction he had gone off too.
She could hear the blasts made contact with the environment, as she once again sped off into the air. Firing an attack like that always made her kinda tired. That wasn't a good thing. When she was tired, all she really wanted to do was lay down and snuggle up. Like with Haruto-kun. Wonder what he was doing right now? There wasn't any time to really check her phone, and she was afraid to drop it all the way up here anyway.
If she had to guess based on the colors in the sky though, he was probably still sleeping. She forgot once just how early they got up to train, and called him during a break. He wasn't happy about it. Her father heard everything, and shut him up. It was funny.
They still haven't personally met yet, but he made a good impression from that phone call. According to him, it was ballsy to talk like that with a Majin. She didn't even want to hear anymore from him after. That was just too dirty a word.
This should be far enough.
She let out a yawn after landing ontop of a cliff. Although out in the open, it was still a hiding spot. She was told so. Something about the expected being the unexpected. Stuff like that kinda confused her. She didn't like it, but according to him, she would understand one day. Whatever that was supposed to mean. Again. And he was much closer this time, too. Had she flown around in circles or something? He would tell her later if she had.
Though she wouldn't be surprised. That too, could happen when she was tired. Another yawn escaped from her, before she flew off again. She got about two cliffs away, before letting her ki be sensed again. This was quite the workout. If she did better than last time, he had promised to buy her some weights. That would help out a lot. She set off as fast as she could, knowing he was much closer to this time.
There was no stopping to hide somewhere only a couple miles away, or firing off more blasts. Nope. She was just focused on flying far away from here. He couldn't find her if he couldn't catch her. And she knew he must have been in a hurry to do so. The sky was starting to turn pretty blue, which meant their break was almost here. It made her grin. She had never gone this long before without being caught.
He wasn't the type to really go easy on her, not like she was. Not that it was bothersome. Those days were pretty relaxing, and she would rather chase than be chased anyway. The heavy sounds of wind behind her, had made her fears come true. He was catching up to her. She didn't stop flying, but did turn briefly backwards. More energy blasts were fired out. It didn't matter whether or not they had hit.
The blasts were merely distractions, and gave her a bit more time. By the sounds of it, it was mostly branches she had ended up hitting. She made it about two more cliffs away, before she was forced to stop and land. It was inevitable. Flying like that would have no trouble tiring her out. The sounds of her panting was clear, and she made no efforts trying to hide it. He had shown up a moment or so later, standing before her, with a grin on his face.
"You did good kid."
"Good enough to buy some weights?"
"Hey, we'll see after the break."
She had pouted, but understood. He chuckled at her reaction, and crouched down, his back turning towards her. She got on, wrapping her arms around his neck, and snuggling up against him. After everything that happened, she didn't try and fight closing her eyes. But before she went and taken a short nap, he needed to know something important.
"Dad, try not to hog all the boars this time."
