There stood the half-blood, looking over a training exercise by many of the Empire's soldiers, she looked very confident, almost too confident... But that confidence was rather quickly broken by a voice that called out to her...One all too familiar. One disgusting, yet not unwelcome.
"Oh, my dear child, you look far too happy. You look far too confident for someone who's only 600 pl."
The voice was harsh, it was someone using ki sense...And Zeta turned, only to see...
Her mother, that evil face staring her down, the one who kept her going, ironically. Zeta both hated and appreciated this. It was odd to even her.
"When ever are you going to take your training further? This kingdom will not be changed by someone weaker than a child." her mother scoffed, and Zeta spoke up. "You know I'm trying. You should back off." She could only grit her teeth in anger and disgust, her confidence fading to sour tones. It was amazing how fast the situation changed for Zeta. "How can you say that with a power like yours? Lying is wrong, you know." The terribly intimidating woman drew closer, running a hand along Zeta's face, Zeta stands still, her eyes squinting as she tries to ignore her mother.
"I'm not...Lying." Smack!! Her words are almost cut off as a hand flies right across her face, Zeta dropping to one knee from the shock. Her mother stands above her, clearly angered. "I put my best years into you, yet you refuse to work harder! What exactly do you intend to do when you meet opposition to the throne?! Fool!" Her words cut through the half-blood like a knife, this woman...Even something as small as words could hurt. It was almost impossible to believe for Zeta.
And then a swift kick was delivered to her side as she tried to get up, putting her down even further. "Do you have any other words?! You have disappointed your mother greatly! And you insist on sitting there with a grin on your face, as if you had done something amazing. You really are a terrible child!" Zeta finally stands, just staring at her mother like nothing was wrong, as if she couldn't fight back. It was beyond true, honestly. She was only at 600 pl, far below the average saiyan warrior. Her mother was full blooded, these two were far apart in power.
"Our plans have changed, seeking to change this empire alone is terrible, instead, you will seek out a rising group, hidden behind the scenes. Their numbers are growing quickly, you may yet be able to restore the empire to what it once was through their help. Go and find them, they reside outside of the Capital. Do not come back until you've earned their trust, I expect nothing less than perfection from you." She laughed rather intimidatingly, watching as Zeta exited with a bow. It was clear what her goal was. Find this..."group outside the empire"...But where? They wouldn't exactly advertise themselves, that much was obvious.
Zeta walked the halls of the Capital, watching the various citizens going to and fro, being mindful of anyone suspicious. She was sure whoever this was, they would be, standing right in the capital, right? They had to be, it couldn't have been impossible, but as far as she knew, it very well could have been. - Her mother's info could have been entirely wrong after all. Not exactly a truth she could afford, her mother was terrifying. She didn't even know her father, but he must have been a practical slave to this woman.
As she walked, she saw many soldiers, some familiar, others not so much. But one approached a man clad in concealing armor. "Hail, Zeta. What brings you to these parts? Looking for another spar, perhaps." The man towered above her, she knew him well. "Lees" was the name he went by, he respected honor above all else, perhaps even above his loyalty to the Empire. But he was formidable in combat no less than anyone else, he had earned a name for himself. "Hmph, I happen to be looking for someone today for your information!" Zeta puffed out her chest and put her hands to her hips.
She wasn't going to back down to him, after all, he might start to look down on her. She didn't exactly hate him, but the constant cries of honor wore on her pretty fast. "And who exactly might this be? Do you mean to say it's all part of your training, or is there another purpose?" He was wise enough to figure her out, he knew she was after someone for more than just training, but what, he couldn't say, but this girl, she didn't care, she knew what telling him would get, it mattered little to her!
"I'm looking for someone, supposedly lying in the old ruins of the planet. That's all I can say!" The man thought before responding. "And you seek them to assist yourself in some way? That place is off limits, it would be a dishonor to your name to go to such a place for any reason, you know." "yeah, yeah, outta my way!!" She pushed him aside, walking off further through the capital, he merely followed along. "If you intend to go that far, I will certainly have to stop you. It is my loyalty that keeps me from staying quiet."
She growls, stopping dead in her tracks. "Why don't you shut it?!" She turns to face him, planting her finger right against his armor and gritting her teeth. "What I do is my business, I'm an adult ya know!!" She scoffs at him, clearly disgruntled. "Where do you get off, honor-boy?! I'm a citizen of this planet, I should be able to go where I want, and that's all! Further, you're really making me mad, maybe I should wack you on the head a few times!!" She storms off, leaving the man surprised. She was on a mission.
She was gonna get to the bottom of this, no matter who got in her way, and if they did, they'd just have to pay for it, she pushed aside a saiyan who was walking in her path, hurrying off. They didn't even have the guts to stop her given how angry she seemed, it felt like whoever bothered her was gonna get hurt! She decided to fly, and so she took off to the air, watching the ground as she went, she was heading right towards the outskirts of the capital, unaware of just how close she would come to these "people with similar interests" she was looking for.
But she didn't know who they'd be, or where to look for certain, only that they were outside the capital. That was not nearly enough...But she didn't have many options, find them or don't come back, those were her orders. She landed on the outskirts, deciding to look into a pub nearby...Someone had to have answers in such a seedy place, they usually did. She stepped up to the door, just shoving it open without a care.
The slamming noise from the doors certainly caught everyone's attention, the heavy metal music and patrons all stopped, eyes glared at her like daggers, most girls would have been afraid, but she was beyond caring about such things as "toughness", she marched up to the bar, taking a seat. As eyes continued to glare, she scoffed and stared down the barman. "I'm not here for a drink, put down the glass, worm. I'm looking for people. I need answers and I know someone here has it." "Look, I work here, I don't keep tabs on patron rumors and gossip, ask someone else."
Zeta laughed, gripping the man by the collar and almost pulling him over the bar. her face took on one of seriousness. "You know everything about gossip around here, don't lie to me." "...l...Look, I don't want any trouble, I'll just tell ya, okay?! Put me down." She released him, and then bam! a glass bottle shattered over her head. It hurt, it would have probably knocked her out if she wasn't angry and determined...She pauses before turning around to see three saiyan soldiers, drunk and ready for a fight. "You wanna get involved with those people, then you have a problem with the Empire, and whoever has a problem with the Empire, has a problem with us!"
There were three of them, each brandishing some sort of seedy weapon, a bat, a chain, and pure fists. She sat there for a moment...and a grin appeared on her face. They wanted a fight? She was gonna give them one. She stood up from where she was sitting, and took on a pose. ...They all laughed at her glorious pose. "hiiiiiYAAAAHHH!" By the time her yell finished, an attack connected to the guy front and center, sending him flying out the front door. The other two backed up, the one with the bat Reeled back and sent it straight towards her head... And she slid under him, her foot rising right up between his legs. ...And he reacted accordingly, falling to the floor. meanwhile the one with fists ran up with his fists flying through the air, to which Zeta dodged and blasted him directly in the chest with Concerto, knocking him unconcious...
Everyone in the pub stared on in silence, she just...Took out those three soldiers. They all quickly turned around and went back to their business, trying to ignore the events that transpired...Usually it turns out worse for the outnumbered one. yes everyone returned to their normal routines...Except for the barman. Who was slipping out the backdoor. Zeta rushes over and forces the door open, knocking him to the ground, just glaring at him before she picks him up. "Trying to run on me?! I'll beat the sh** out of you!!" "C-C'mon, I have a job to do, you know that! Lemme go!" She shakes him, gritting her teeth further. "No way, you're going to tell me!! Tell me now!!!!" "O...okay, okay! Just, lemme go!"
She shakes her head in a no motion, slapping him across the face. "You have a short memory!! Last time I did that, you ran like a scared monkey!!" She didn't loosen her grip - She tightened it, making sure he wasn't going anywhere. Cowards like him deserved to burn, but he had to be spared, he had important info, she wanted it, she was going to take it, end of story. "okay, okay, I-I know a couple of their members, but their names are a little...Unclea-" She sends another slap as a terrifying smile forms, he quickly changes his story.
"The...There's two I know, I've seen them here before! A man, with blue hair, and this girl with an arm canon...'Nari', i think?? uh...I-i swear that's all I know! Can you let me go??" She presses her free hand against her face, her smile looking more annoyed as time progresses. "I think you know more than that, those descriptions are so accurate, but the name I'm not buying, you're playing dumb, I think it's time I disposed of you."She was bluffing, not like he could tell, but it'd likely squeeze more info out of him.
"N...Nori and jarvis!! They called eachother Nori and Jarvis!! Please let me go!" She dropped him to the floor, and he scurried off. A blue haired guy named Jarvis on Vegeta...Should be easy to find, she thought. She'd have to be careful though, he seemed to be telling the truth regarding only knowing their names and looks, they could be hostile for all she knows, but she still had to seek them out regardless, it was her one chance. She smiled confidently, striding out of the pub as everyone looked on once more, shocked by the pink haired half-blood strolling off into the night.
