Bathra
Name: Bathra
Age: Unknown (Appears 18)
Gender: Female
Race: Vampire
Homeworld: Earth
Starting Planet: Earth
Appearance:
To the naked eye, Bathra doesn't seem any less human than most people on this Earth, but some subtle details prove otherwise. Bathra is much paler than the average human, mixing in with her somewhat frail body tone. Her hair is a somewhat darkened shade of blue, with an unsettling pair of eyes to match.
She wears a personal set of lightweight armoring, a mixture of leather, cloth and plate. A long cape is attached to it, flowing along with her wicked mane. Bathra wears this almost everywhere she goes, though she does take on more casual wardrobes when she isn't busy with traveling and fighting.
Backstory:
Centuries ago, Bathra was no more than a human girl. Born in a small village to a family of monster slayers serving under the church, Bathra was raised to become a holy warrior for the people. For centuries, her family had spent their lives helping their fellow neighbors with defeatng the rampaging creatures that have plagued them throughout all their lives. Many have lost their lives in the process, but they fight on regardless. The royal family that led the village, themselves living in a castle nearby, did all that they could to help support the war effort. Secretly, however, the family had connections to the monster clan's leader, a vampire named Brahm.
The royal family have been working out a deal to surrender the village and leave its people for fodder, in exchange for becoming vampires themselves. Brahm eventually agreed, but not before making a request to settle a score with Bathra's family. One day, Bathra and her parents woke up deep in the nearby woods, tied up and rendered helpless. Her father was already dead, leaving both herself and her mother. In truth, Brahm never intended on taking the royal family in as his servants, seeing these two women as a much bigger prize. An offer was given to them; become vampires under his wing, and the rest of the village would be spared.
Bathra was the first to be turned. All at once, she felt a whirlwind of emotions; fear, betrayal, anger, power...and hunger. The lust for blood quickly started to rise up in her, the eyes of a newborn fledgling staring right at the woman who was once her mother. Brahm simply stood there, laughing. This wasn't part of his plans, but one servant was just as good. With the newly-made vampire leading the charge of a monster army with all of her frenzied power and skills, the village quickly fell. Their once-savior was now a monster.
As for the royal family? It didn't take long for Bathra to hunt them down, and she took sweet pleasure in torturing them for leaving their people behind. It was alright now, since everyone else was in a better place anyway...
With a job well done, Brahm and Bathra took the castle for themselves as they watched over the newly-founded monster village. Brahm would retire and become Bathra's trainer, while Bathra herself was crowned the Monster Queen. Centuries passed as Bathra trained and the village continued to thrive, but eventually, her tastes and interests soon began to wonder. Seeking to gain more power and fight stronger opponents (and, perhaps, take them as her undead servants), Bathra began to venture off to explore the world. Brahm would look after the village in Bathra's absence, the queen herself looking back and smiling upon the new family of monsters she helped create...

The dust and debris enveloped Bathra as she pressed on, the air becoming more unbearably stagnant as she went. Her clouded vision wasn’t helping her much, her arms starting to shield her eyes as she grew more irritated. She still remembered something, even if most of the day felt like a blur. Her memory flickered back to the face of the man she was tasked to kill by Brahm, her mentor and friend. He didn't any sort of connection to the poor soul, but he figured that the young fledgling would have to try her skills on someone. Still, she could’ve used a bit more time to get used to exploring the woods with her new power.
Her eyes flickered about, her vision coming back to her as she swatted away the insects that surrounded her. Looking back at the flaming carriage the man left behind, she couldn’t help but chuckle to herself. Whoever was down here certainly wasn’t doing much of a good job hiding, or running for that matter. The heat of the burning wreckage was on her back now, a sigh escaped her as she looked at the sword Brahm gave her, something to help channel her magic. It was a token of confidence that she’d get the mission done, or so her mentor said. At least, she would have something new to kill with at the end of all of this.
Hours felt like days, her bat-like teeth grinding as her eyes went back in forth in a monotonous routine. Bathra was feeling worn down, and her mind even more so as she struggled and stumbled on. Every last thought in her mind was clouded with the many ways she learned of how to end the pitiful worm’s life and drink in his blood, a devilish smile creeping along her face as she did. She would have to thank whoever was about to die, as she was feeling quite inspired right now. Eventually, the edge of her eye caught a footprint in the mud before her, a sickening laugh escaped her cold breath.
“Not as clever as you thought, old man. Now, where might you be...,” Bathra trailed off as the edge of her eye caught something peculiar. It was a ghost of some sort, but she looked familiar...almost as if she knew her. She look sad to see her, but the specter disappeared before Bathra could really study her face. For a few moments, the warrior felt a cold dread enveloping her, much moreso than usual. Still, she shook her head and took a quick breath, remembering her mission. She was sure it was just her irritated head.
Bathra studied the other footprints ahead. She had a lead now, making a note to thank her prey by severing his legs first. The young vampire started to levitate and rush forward as she started to note the clear and recent signs of someone on the run. Broken twigs, stamped grass and several hurried attempts to cover his own tracks, all buried in the aftermath. It almost seemed fun to give like this, Bathra would think. It's almost a shame to think of what will happen when he stopped to catch a breath...
