Komatsu was training hard. It was pretty obvious he wanted to surpass his own limits. Was he planning to become a super saiyan two? It only made sense, but he was still a world apart from reaching such an unimaginable power. Nasu was the one growing closer to it right now and the older sibling was also training absolutely hard. Komatsu’s power level was close to Karota’s now, pretty damn close, less than one thousand lower, which was pretty impressive. But the reason the Saiyan Colonel Karota came to the Soy Training Hall on this particular day wasn’t to check on Komatsu’s progress. No, Karota came to the Soy Training Hall when she sensed another power level considerably lower than both of them, but still one of the strongest powers on Planet Natto; it was Leena, the newcomer who was fascinating the young Overseer. The reason why she fascinated the ruthless saiyan Overseer was still a mystery to her, but she became really interested ever since their last talk, when Karota was informed he would be bringing her along when they met Jarvis to seal the peace treaty between the two factions, and she was genuinely concerned.

With her power level suppressed to the bare minimum, it would be very unlikely that people would notice her getting inside the Training Hall, and Karota was known for being quite stealthy when she wanted; the hybrid saiyaness was a master of ki control, one of the bests in the whole universe. She could disappear whenever she wanted, and she could also fight to almost her full capacity without even raising the pressure of her own power level, which was another impressive feat. But that was to be expected, she was, after all, the master of the Wolf School and Nasu’s teacher in many aspects, even other than martial arts itself.

Karota rolled her eyes when she heard Komatsu complaining about the simulation. ”Those kids… Always looking for heavy doses of adrenaline! I blame both Tomo and Natto equally for that trait!” she thought to herself, with a subtle smile on her face. One private of considerable level, another newcomer from the Empire – they were getting plenty of those lately – was there too, and that was quite odd, since the Soy Training Hall was quite restricted and many people didn’t have enough clearance or authorization to even be there. Obviously Leena must have one, since Nasu sympathized with her a lot, but this other one? At least this Leena seemed like educated, unlike the private. This was the perfect opportunity for Karota to reveal herself and she did so by stepping onto the titled floor, making some noise on purpose.

– You know this is off-limits to privates, right, miss Gina? – she said with a sharp tone, staring at the newcomer with her bright emerald eyes. Karota was a hybrid and her eyes revealed as much. – But I believe at least sergeant Leena here has some authorization. Nasu does play favorites! – she said in a teasing tone.

If they weren’t REALLY familiar with the higher ups, the two of them may fail to recognize Karota. She wasn’t imposing in her looks, and her power level seemed rather pitiful. On top of that, she hadn’t introduced herself yet.

When Komatsu said that this Kohlrabi person was enlisting in the army as a private, Karota stared at him in awe. – You recruited her? Good job, Koma! It really surprised me! – she said and, shortly after that, she connected some dots and stared from Leena to Komatsu, narrowing her eyes. ”It must be his little crush. So cute! Hihihi!” she thought to herself, giggling quite a bit. Then, Leena finally managed to shut up this private Gina, and for that Karota was glad; she truly hated brenchian accent with all her heart. When Leena said Nasu got soft around her Karota laughed out loud, holding her stomach. – Oh boy! This is hilarious! Hahahahaha! – she said, laughing a bit more. Then, she stared at Leena right into her dark green eyes with a quite mischievous expression.

– Well, if you need to ask something like that, why don’t you ask him straight if he likes you? – and then, when Komatsu asked if she was a super saiyan, Karota quickly answered. – Yes, she is. Miso had the pleasure of witnessing her turning for the first time. Got me a whole week of complains and bitching to be honest. Gosh, I thought he would never shut up about it! – her tone was quite light spirited, and – in some way – it seemed like she was having fun with that trio.
