(I will have my Medium weights on... I assume by the end of this thread I'll have them! Those joining must be active please!) [Thread PL: 6,000 with Ki Suppression on. Weights bring it down to 3,000 PL currently]
It was a misty morning in the woods of these bamboo branches. She walked calmly with her new heavy weighted sweat pants and sleeveless hoodie/ The weights brought her down because of the special material they're made of. This felt good for the Gorilla student. She loved the weights holding her down. It was going to be so interesting practicing under these weights! Just hopefully there won't be some d-bag coming to ruin her training... Like a saiyan! She found an open area of peace and silence. Let's put these puppies to use! She spreads her legs out and felt the weights kicking down on her. She began punching the air several times! "YAH! HI-YAH! WAAAAH!", giving these roaring sounds makes her sound rather fearsome and even provoking if someone was nearby.
She pants a few times. Dang these weights are already tiring her out! No matter, she'll start kicking now against a few trees to get herself going! She runs towards a tree and begins pounding the tree to all hell! She wanted to take that tree on like it was an opponent! She just got done dealing with a Saiyan so she felt in need of training! There was something coming and she had to prepare herself for this new event to come! A new life and a new adventure! She had to make her own father proud in order to satisfy herself. He may be watching her, wherever he was... She stopped breaking the poor tree down and looked at it... The tree was being torn apart even though it was bamboo. Tau was certainly strong!
Fade the music out...
Tau cracked her fingers a bit and looked around... "Hmmmm, that was kinda easy but my weights are so heavy! God, I'm actually kinda glad I didn't have enough for the heavy set or else I'd strain myself!" she felt a presence in the air. Someone was approaching and her ki sensing could feel it. She turned her back, "Who's there? You're not that strong! Might as well, show yourself if you're a friend... I don't want a fight.." and that's where she waited. She wanted no violence but she had her fighting stance ready just in case.

Bernael would be walking through the bamboo woulds as he would hear the sound of training. "Training? Maybe that's someone who can train me!" Bernael would say to himself silently with glee, as he would run towards the sounds, as he got closer, he heard the voice of someone asking who was near by. He himself didn't know of anybody else they could be talking to, maybe he just didn't conceal himself enough in his awkward glee to get to them. He would step out to show that he wasn't hostile, pronouncing "I am a friend, I just heard the sound of training over here and wanted to see what was going on." as he would continue stepping out to make himself more clear to be seen.
He certainly didn't want any trouble with someone he just met, especially if he could get a friend or possibly some training out of it. No, no he couldn't think so negatively, he had to just stick with his gut and ask what he wanted to ask. "So uh, I am sort of new to this outside world, and fighting in general. As you pointed out, yes I am weak, so when I heard someone training, I thought I could, maybe get some sparring with someone else out of it?" He would gulp as he said this, hoping he didn't say it too awkwardly, so as to put the person off and turn down his question. He would just sort of shake as sweat would appear on his head, this was the first time he had met anybody outside of his home town, and he definitely didn't want to make it his last if this person was stronger and hostile. But those were even more negative thoughts, so he would breath in and out slowly while keeping his sights on the person, hoping for a positive answer.

Atsuko was calmly walking through the currently misty woods. Her silver sword was still sheathed at her side, thankfully she had no reason to make use of it yet. The World was surprisingly peaceful, even out in the wilds. Perhaps it was just luck, or perhaps she knew how to respect Nature and it's inhabitants. Whatever the case may be, it was shaping up to be an uneventful walk until the Saiyan heard someone call out. It seemed to be a woman's voice, and she was making demands that the person show themselves. Well, a quick glance around showed no one else in the vicinity.
So the girl must have been referring to none other than the traveling Knight. She walked towards the direction of the voice, moving brush out of the way as she progressed. "Be at ease, I have no quarrel with you.", the Saiyan stated calmly. Her apparel consisted of basic steel armoring and robes, her tail was currently tied around her waist and under her clothes. She looked just as Human as anyone else on the planet while she was like this. It wasn't out of any malice, she simply found it more convenient.
Her tail was a weakness, so to hide it was the smarter option. She examined the immediate area, noting the damaged bamboo tree. Finally her gaze settled onto the Human. "A fellow Warrior? How goes your training?", Atsuko asked. Hoping to provide pleasant conversation in the process. The Saiyan was currently unable to sense the Energy of those around her, and she had no Scouter issued when she first arrived all those years ago. She was effectively moving blind throughout the World. She noted the girl was still in a fighting stance.
For the time being, Atsuko left her hand resting on the hilt of her sword. Though her relaxed stance made it clear she would only draw it in self defense. So long as Tau remained civil, there should be no need for things to come to blows... However, a friendly spar. The Saiyan wouldn't be opposed to that. She certainly needed more practice, especially if she intended to become a respected Knight that could protect the innocent. It was to be a long road, though she didn't understand quite how long it would be...
Regardless, the Saiyan continued to await Tau's response. Perhaps they could become allies, she would welcome that. There was no need to travel or fight alone. Finally, she noticed the presence of another individual, a rather nervous man. "Well, if you'd like training, I wouldn't mind helping. I must admit that I'm a novice myself. Though that is why I set out in the World.", she stated to him, and then glanced back at Tau. "Perhaps, we could all spar together? That may prove beneficial for everyone involved. Provided we are all comfortable with such an idea. I wouldn't want to overstay the welcome."
Tau was on guard heavily with the enlightenment on her side. She could sense and smell two individuals near... She had senses like a dog and she was putting them to close use. It was then the first one would appear. She quickly turned her back and had her finger out like she was going to flick the air. As soon as he came out and presented himself in a friendly manner she brought her finger down. "I appreciate you're not hostile. Now be quiet just a second..." and that's where she turned her body sideways and prepared to flick the direction the other being was coming. She watched closely as she heard the Saiyan's voice. Another to not cause harm? Is this an ambush? She thought this to herself but lowered her finger, "Well, it seems we're all here for a reason as the enlightenment has brought us all together..." she said in an odd monk-like saying.
She relaxed her body. She turned towards the hybrid first after hearing his comment first, "New towards all this hmmm? Well, I can show you a thing or two... I'm a Gorilla student after all and we pledge ourselves to help others through a strong path. I would not like a spar however, I may have a better suggestion for us," she said as she turned towards the knight-like Saiyan. "Training in my new weights has been enjoyable and I'm thrilled to feel progress. It's not easy carrying these weights around while training but if you train while wearing these you'll gain stronger!" she explains to the knight. She would listen to her once more and hear comment as she looked idle and calm. She crossed her arms and nodded, "The same suggestion as this guy... I'd love to spar but we Gorilla students believe in using full power when we train so I won't be sparring with you bunch today... BUT! I have something better to do!" she said to them.
She would point to the bamboo trees, "These are your dummies! If you wanna become a better warrior you need to practice your techniques! Observe what I could do with years of training under my master..." she said before extending her hand out. She looked rather relaxed but she looked odd like she was going to flick the air in front of her. As soon as she flicked her finger, the entire tree blew itself away in a powerful force like some telekinesis kind of force... The tree smacked and slammed through a couple before falling down, breaking the hard trees down. She'd pull herself back, "That was just one of my Ki abilities known as 'Kong's Flick'. I charge the ki into my fingers and fire an invisible ki forward for the air to pick up and use. Consider this like a shotgun with power..." she said before turning towards the girl saiyan. "Weapons are not acceptable knight, I want to see your fists if you could do so nicely," she said to her.
She'd turn next towards the man, "You on the other hand, you're set..." she says stepping near a bamboo tree. "I hate to sound bossy but I'd like to know you both in combat. It's a Gorilla student's way of understanding his or her's friend and even enemy. What are both of your names? My name is Tau, daughter of the Gorilla masters... At your service," she said towards them before gently bowing in a traditional way. She'd pull herself up and await for a response from both. After they settle their meeting, she nods, "Right, now let's begin! Throw everything you got towards your trees! Let's see how much of a punch you can throw towards them! No powers, no ki, nothing! Just fists and limbs! Let's do it!" she said.
She crossed her arms tightly as she sets them to go, "Ready... Set... BEGIN!"

The half demon would nod at the gorilla students words as he would understand what she was wanting out of it, and being absolutely amazed when she flicked the bamboo tree's without even touching them. He had never once seen anything like it aside from the odd surge that would happen to him, and seeing someone control something like it so easily was astonishing. However, once she asked for names, he would instantly snap out of it and speak up, not wanting to delay any longer. "Nice to meet you Tau, my name is Bernael, Bernael Adonael, son of a demon man, and a human woman, ready to train." He would stutter, hoping that his species wouldn't ruin relations with his new acquaintances as soon as he arrived, but he would silently await for their meeting to end before nodding to himself at what his semi orders were.
Bernael would then look over at the Saiyan and nod, ready to be training alongside them "Hey uh... good luck to you on your side" the boy would say, hoping to maybe inspire his training partner more if they were as nervous as he was, which he highly doubted that many people would be, but he was only trying to be nice. He would just then get into a untrained, unprofessional ready stance as he would slowly try to shift his weight around to find what was comfortable for him as he would try to calm down and stop being as nervous because it really put a damper on his mental state and that's never healthy for any being.
As he was ready to start, his mind was glad that it was about fists and limbs training, because he was absolutely unskilled with the likes of "ki" and "powers" as he had absolutely nothing under his belt to use aside from the possible occurrence of a power surge happening, which was incredibly unlikely. Once Tau said begin, Bernael would start punching and kicking at the tree, there was no real damage appearing on it aside from the minor bruises and slight dents on its outer layer, but the tree itself wouldn't be budging much, or even looking to be harmed aside from the dents. The young demon human hybrid would tire out after only a short burst of hits against the tree, as his untrained and unprofessional hits would get slower and more weak against the tree, before coming to an altogether stop with one last very weak punch.
However Bernael would just shake his head "Not enough" he would mumble while shaking his head. He would just start picking up the pace again hitting the bamboo tree harder and harder as he would speed up, trying not to just end his training at that point, with a big desire to push himself further. To his mind, the only way for him to get stronger was to push farther than his body wanted him to, if his body wanted him to stop training, he had to go for a couple more minutes at the very least to make any sort of advancement. He was getting a smile on his face, he liked knowing that someone else was training near him just a few feet away, and that someone else was watching over their training. It felt more interesting and more fun to be training like this, all the time he had been alone with his fists and the quiet, were always so lonely and boring. However, this was making him feel invigorated, and more motivated. He found the first step to what he was looking for since he left home, true training.
Atsuko listened calmly to Tau's words. Apparently she was a student in some Gorilla style of fighting, the Saiyan could safely say that she had never heard of it before, but that wouldn't exactly come as a surprise considering her sheltered life up to this point. What was more impressive however, was when she demonstrated one of her techniques. When she flicked her finger, and several sturdy trees toppled under an oppressive force. She was no stranger to Ki attacks, Tau must have assumed that she was totally new to the means of combat. Well, that was fine. It was understandable.
As Atsuko began to walk towards one of the trees, she moved to draw her sword. However the Human girl proceeded to tell her that weapons were unacceptable, she wanted to see fists. The Saiyan thought it over for a moment, but then gave a nod of the head in understanding. Bernael was the first to begin his training, after wishing her good luck.... Son of a Demon Man? Odd, however he didn't seem hostile. The Knight would have no quarrel with the man. That being said, Tau did just ask for their names. Atsuko would be happy to oblige her.
Atsuko stood up straight, and brought her feet close together. She then placed her right fist over heart. "I am Atsuko Inoue, Sworn Holy Knight. I am on my pilgrimage around the World, as instructed by my Master.", the Saiyan introduced herself in formal fashion, and then relaxed into a more casual stance. With that, she moves over to one of the 'unclaimed' trees and enters fighting stance. It looked practiced, like she had done it every day of her life. She seemed skilled, to try and deny that would be an underestimation of her.
She takes a deep breath, and then she punches as the tree as hard as she can. "HAAAGH!!", she yelled. Her fist impacted with the bark and the tree cracked. She continued with a violent flurry of blows, however a close observation showed that they were aimed precisely. They were no random blows, but those meant to disable the target swiftly, or in this case, to break the tree under her strength. True to the terms set; no ki and no powers. Just fists and strength. Suddenly, she stops briefly and pulls both arms back.
She then throws another strike with all of her might thrown into it. The tree finally topples as she then exits her fighting stance, and stands straight. She examines her arms for a moment, they weren't even all that damaged. She then glanced over to Tau. "Shall I continue with a new dummy?", the Saiyan inquired. As she waited for Tau's response, she then glanced over to Bernael's progress. He seemed to be having a much more difficult time with the task he had been given. "Good! There are no limits stopping you, you must simply remain determined.", she stated as she observed. She would give further tips, but...
Well, that was more Tau's job at the moment. It would be rude to continue to 'steal her thunder', as it were. Still, she was grateful for her aid, even if the training was a little too easy for a decorated Fighter such as herself.
She watched as the two started sparring against the tough bamboo trees. She slightly smiled as she watched them go at it. She already actually liked these two. She noticed Atsuko however having a tail! Her eyes widen as she was practicing against the tree. How could a Saiyan be soft like this? She didn't look like she could do much harm either! She slowly nodded as she watched them perform acceptable and such. She turned back towards the boy who wasn't that professional in attacking. She sighed as she watched this. She didn't have room to judge because her mother put her under the same situation. She watched the Saiyan tell him he did well and good. She was one hundred percent right! Give it everything and you're good in Tau's eyes. She didn't mind the girl saying any of that for that's how friendships are bonded.
A faint smile slipped out as she looked down with her eyes closed.
She looked back up and slowly faded her smile. "Alright, now let's move on. We still have two steps left," she said before stepping back from them. She slowly took her sweatshirt off and threw it on a bamboo branch... It had made the limb crackle a bit as the sweatshirt had a ton of weight on it. She wore a tank top that was fit decently on her. Next, she pulled her sweatpants off! It could be awkward at first but eventually it was shown that she had short short pants on. Clearly, she has a civil life. She threw them on the branch as well. Suddenly, her PL arises dramatically. She uncovered her own ki and made it rise to her max. She looked back up, more powerful now then before.
She gives the two a firm smirk.
"Let's get to step two now! Ki abilities! I'm sure you're both curious slightly about my own power... So, as a token of respect, I shall show you," she said in a slight serious tone. She turned around slowly, looking towards a thick bush of bamboo and other things. She turned her head towards them, "This is one of my favorites... If you both know what a Kamehameha is then you should see a similar technique used. The Kamehameha is a Turtle technique. The Tzarluka is a Gorilla technique. Watch closely but carefully..." She slid her foot behind her to prepare the special technique passed on from her parents. She slowly cups her hands together, forming a red ki ball... "Tzar...." and that's where she'd crush the ball in with her hands and slams the hands together, her hands glowing red. "Luk....!" she'd pull her hands close to her and quickly slam them out like she's punching out! A large ki wave fired out before she finishes the phrase "A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The power was immense compared to them and even herself. She had charged this power in for awhile while having the weights on.
The area was cleared over from her power. She was slightly stronger she noticed. She smiled and walked over to a branch to pull her weights back on. "That was my ultimate... I hope you both liked the light shows... Now it's your turn! Let's see you both go at it! Launch your best ki abilities towards the trees!" she said smiling while putting her sweatpants and sweatshirt back on. Her PL decreasing once more they could tell.

The hybrid boy would be happy to have a training partner that would encourage him on even though he wasn't doing all that great, it was a very nice change. However, once again he would stop when they were going to move on, giving Tau his full attention. Sadly, that wasn't the full truth as he didn't pay enough attention at first and his mind spun with weird messages when Tau took off her sweatpants, but he would snap out of it once his attention did notice that it wasn't as bad as was originally thought, but he tried his best never to show on his face what he thought, and kept it to his mind. But his full attention definitely did snap on once Tau started her move.
Bernael would sit in amazement after seeing the large blast that Tau had made, he never knew something as amazing as that could ever exist in reality, but he shouldn't be entirely surprised, seeing what has happened in the past and the knowledge of more than just humans in the universe, with just his own lineage. But he slowly shivered to himself as he thought of how he didn't have anything new to bring to the table to show off, he had absolutely nothing. This was especially apparent to him when Tau asked for them to launch their best ki moves at the tree's, so he felt sort of shot down when he realized it was almost as if he was expected to have one.
"I... don't know any ki moves, this is my first experience knowing what ki is, to be quite honest." Bernael would say out loud over to Tau, not showing any sign of regret, as he didn't have anything TO regret, this was his learning experience and he felt that it was good that he didn't know anything yet, it gave him a large room to improve. However, this didn't stop him from doing each pose she did, though nothing ever came out of it, as he was just practicing the poses. He would shake his head as he didn't think it was enough to do anything with, as he would have to learn how to exactly channel ki before he does anything with it, but he wanted to at least get the motions down so that when the time came, he could possibly replicate it.
At this time, his face would just be a focusing, blank slate, showing no emotion or any sort of feeling if someone was to look upon his face. It was almost as if he was a machine operating on a forced code, from point a, to b, to c, and so on until repeating the steps over again like he was very interested in figuring out the move. He would look over at Tau after a small bit of doing this machine work and just say "Hey Tau, is there any correct requirement to using ki, that I could be doing instead of this for now, I sort of want to try that before I do anything more." as he would finally get an emotion on his face that can be described none other than, determination. He wanted now more than ever to learn something new, something to help him, something that can be used to train better.
It was then that Tau decided to begin stripping, as her shirt impacted with a nearby branch, it caused it to crack as if under an impossible weight. And it was the same for her pants. Atsuko blinked in response to that, weighted clothing? Well, that would certainly make training much more effective; she would have to note that down future use. Every little bit of help she could get in becoming stronger would certainly be useful. However... Atsuko was unable to sense any change in Tau. The Saiyan merely had to take the girl's word for it. It was onto the next lesson.
This one would be focusing on Ki, Tau proceeded to demonstrate another one of her abilities. It was certainly an impressive beam of energy, she gauged it to be a few times more powerful than even the Saiyan's own most practiced skill. However, she was no stranger to the control over her own Ki. As she had expected, Tau said to show off similar abilities next. With a nod, Atsuko proceeded to ease into stance once more. "I can perform my technique without my weapon... But I consider it more effective with it, just this once. Allow me to show you."
Atsuko said as she then brought her right hand to the hilt of her sword. She closed her eyes for a moment, gathering her energy. Then she drew her sword at rapid speed, slashing in the direction of the trees. When the blade would strike her targets as if she were in melee range, a wave of energy in crescent shape was unleashed. Several of the trees had toppled from such an effective slashing technique. With that, Atsuko sheathed her sword and then stands up straight once more. She glances over to Tau, a calm smile on her face.
However, the Saiyan's attention was grasped as Bernael spoke. She walked over to him. "Relax your stance.", she asked. Gently guiding him with her hands. "Hold your arms like this.", she directed his hands to be held in front of his chest, though not too close. "Now close your eyes, and focus. You're trying to draw out a potential hidden within you. It's something that everyone has. It is an energy that can be used to defend yourself, and others. Always use it for that; a power must be used responsibly.", she finished her instruction, now it was time to wait.
She then calmly walked back over to Tau. "If you have any other instructions for him, I'll allow you to take over now. I'll wait until we're ready.", she stated. And took a seat as she watched Bernael. This was his stepping point, if he could call upon his Ki, he would make rapid progress by being so determined. And if he kept practicing, it was not a matter of 'if'. It was merely a question of 'when'. This was the method that the Saiyan had used to learn, she was fairly certain that it would be just as effective for Bernael.
She was uncertain of the methods that Tau had used to learn how to control her Ki. Was it different for everyone? The Albino truthfully had no way of knowing such things; a sheltered lifestyle made it so that she could only quote her own experiences, and what was shared by her brothers and sisters within the Order. She mused on these thoughts as she waited, though it must have been rather plain that she was excited. It was all new to her, but shaping up to be wonderful experiences. Kais willing, it would continue in that fashion.
She frowned a bit as she heard her friend say he doesn't know any ki abilities! "Really?! Shoot, I think we should practice on that before the final step then...!" She said before Atsuko said she had one to present. "Right, let's see yours first before we get to our friend here...!" and that's where Tau simply leaned back and observed. She slowly watched in silence as Atsuko grabbed her sword out and performed her technique. It was rather unique but Tau found it weak only because she used a sword! Tau hates weapons, especially swords. She only likes staffs which her mother used to train Tau with. She gave her a smile anyways to show she's nice anyways. "Not bad! I like that ability," she said with a smile still.
She then watch after that Atsuko assisting Bern on his techniques. He had none to do but Tau had an idea to teach him. After Atsuko moved aside and let Tau through, she stepped up. "It's actually more than your hidden potential. Yes, there's one in everyone but it's all about your enlightenment. The air around you, the grass and dirt below you, and above all your mind. You have power in your blood and yet you don't know about it yet! Let me show you something I learned first... This is my final technique I'll show you both and it's probably the oddest yet effective technique in my arsenal," she said to not only Bern but Atsuko. She stepped up very slowly and closed her eyes. She stood still for a moment and smiled, letting the air flow through her hair. "Relax like Atsuko said... Do not struggle to pull out your power... The longer you attempt to force your power out, the longer it will take to achieve power!" she said feeling relaxed and loose across her body.
She remained silent for a few moments before smoke leaked out of her nose... It was an odd sight, she looked over. "When your blood feels infused with some energy, let it out your way! You can use your hands, your feet, your limbs, and even.... This...!" she turns around quickly and fires an energy wave out of her mouth! She roars as she lets out the red wave! It's weaker a bit compared to the Tzarluka but it still did quite a bit of damage! Once the energy hit out far, it blew up like a large bomb instead of going on forever to fade. She turned towards Bern, "Now I want you to understand... It's not easy. I sure as hell know you can't learn something new right away but go ahead in the future and try to create something. Something small rather for a learn such as yourself... If not I'll pull you aside sometime and I'll train you myself and teach you a couple of Gorilla techniques," she said smiling towards him.
"Right, we'll just practice with Ki's later... Let's move towards your final step... I want both of you to fight each other in a real friendly spar! I will sit back and watch just because I don't feel comfy doing so towards you guys. I wouldn't be fair at all!" she said giggling towards them. She leaned against the tree slowly and smiled, "I think after this, I'll head home.. The mist is fading around here which means the day is coming and I've got more chores to do. If you both want to join me, you're welcome to do so," she said before giving them a final smile before getting serious. "Alright! Let's get this show on the road! Begin whenever you're both ready! I'm excited to see you both go at it!" she finally said before getting ready to take notes.

Bernael would listen to the girls advice and would try it out at the best of his abilities, nothing happened on the outside of his body, but, he surely felt something on the inside! Making some sort of progress like this was outstanding in his eyes, as he never had dealt with ki in the past, it was really great and made him pretty happy. Indeed, he was surprised but he didn't want to lose focus by something and instantly lose all the progress he had just made within that short time, because then it would all be for naught. His mind instantly began churning with ideas on how to use this new sensation but he was far off of using it entirely for something other than just moving it around. He wanted to train with it more because of how big of a step this was in the right direction for training, but he also understood that this was only the first step into something he never even knew existed beforehand. Thus, he decided to do it for a little bit more till he heard it was time to move on to the last bit of their training.
He listened very intently to what Tau would say, and was very surprised more than anything to hear that it was time for a spar. This sparked a little bit of glee in his mind as he was waiting for a good spar, as that was one of the first things he thought about when he heard someone else training and made his way over to this group. Person against person action was probably the best way to train in his mind for the time being and how he was, as he believed with the new-found ki power inside of him, if controlled more, could be a better training asset in the long run. But he still realized his sparring partner was probably a lot stronger than him, maybe even leagues above him in fact, he couldn't even break down a single tree, and all he could do was wrestle up the ki's presence inside of him, which was of course something that made him quite happy, but it wouldn't make a difference between someone who could use an actual offensive attack against him, alas, the focus he had on his ki had disappeared as well, making it almost useless in the long run anyways. But, his mind went back to thinking on how it could give good progress to his training if he was somehow able to keep up though, and that was the final thought that he needed to make his decision.
"Yeah, that sounds like a pretty good idea, a spar could be interesting, could prove very enlightening to how I should move as well, in lights of fighting another person." Bernael would say out to the two as he would get himself into a more determined and prepared fighting stance than he did when against the tree. "I think I am ready right now, what about you, Atsuko?" He then decided to ask Atsuko, while staring over at her, almost like he was going to attack her without even waiting for her reply. Though, that was only the facade that his body would give off, as he would perfectly wait for her response to his question, if she'd even accept the spar in the first place.

Atsuko smiled, watching as the lessons continued. Tau went more in depth as to what the hidden potential actually was. And then the Human Girl offered another technique to show. A wave of Ki launched out of her mouth and then it exploded rather than simply fading the farther it went. Now that was impressive. The Saiyan didn't have any techniques that could do something like that; it was becoming quite clear that she was going to have to train even harder. She wanted to catch up to Tau, it breathed new life into her. Back at the Temple, she was only second to one person.
The Elder, she could keep up with him in meditation, she could recite histories nearly as well. But she didn't hold a candle to his prowess in battle. And it wasn't as if she could just ask him to spar whenever she felt like it. Back home, she was content with her position, but now it was time to change. She was no mere Monk. A Holy Knight must be ready to defend against the evils in the world. If Tau was this strong, what did it say for the darkness that lay in wait?
As if on cue, however. The Human Girl mentioned that it was time for Atsuko and Bernael to spar. The Knight proceeds to stand up, he seemed alright with the idea. He asked if she was ready, and she gave a nod as she eased into fighting stance. Bernael was not her enemy, regardless of his demonic lineage. She would not draw her sword, his inexperience meant that she had the advantage. She was not fighting to win. They were fighting to improve. After assuring herself of these things, she inhales deeply... Then exhales slowly. "I'm ready, I'll let you start."
The Saiyan tightly clenches her fists. She lowers herself slightly by spreading her legs out more, as her feet dug lightly into the dirt, she waited. It must have taken her years to perfect this stance, despite the low power she held, there was a constant reminder that she was experienced. It was very likely that she wouldn't take much away from this on that front, but perhaps the lessons would help heighten her power. And the spar may very well achieve that as well, if Bernael proved to be a strong enough opponent to give the Saiyan a challenge.
The Knight didn't seem tense despite her stance. Rather, she seemed relaxed. As if her fighting style was more peaceful by design, though perhaps the only one that could recognize that here would be Tau. There was a lot you could take away from how a person carried themselves. Even when Atsuko exited her stance, one didn't get the impression that the Saiyan had her guard down. Her breathing rate was slowed, the air around her was flowing gently. To tell the truth, she didn't even need to say that she was ready. It was made plain as day by these simple observations.
She remained true to her word, she wouldn't start the fight. She wanted to assess Bernael's skill, and progress from there. She intended to guide him even during the battle, however. And no doubt Tau would offer her own tips for both fighters... How long had it been since the Knight was excited for a fight? It almost felt like she was coming out of a long retirement, to return to something she loved dearly. They do say that all Saiyans love battle. Perhaps there was something more, perhaps it was simple instinct. It didn't really matter now.
Humans are considered the weakest opponents because they cannot fight for anything. At least, most alien races would say HOWEVER Tau can prove them wrong! This wasn't about a human though, it was about two different other races fighting. She leaned against a tree and observed this. Atsuko was very relaxed she could tell. She was going to allow her comrade the first strike. It was a wise move because usually the ones to strike first are the first to become open. Atsuko can easily observe him with his moves if not careful. She smirked as she watched carefully.
However, Tau had to think about it for a moment... Tau actually once remembered a story about her father having an epic brawl against a Saiyan... Her name was supposedly 'Bee'... Her fate grew unknown but apparently she was once a soft Saiyan before her own Saiyan Pride grew on her... Saiyans were known to be soft sometimes but those soft were bound to corrupt themselves in pride. The Saiyan she herself fought was indeed a prideful one. Tau actually disliked Saiyans because they have negative aura and can become dangerous. However, Tau's goal is more then to make friends... She actually had a secret goal in mind. Her goal was to prove that Saiyans or any other race weren't the only powerful beings in the Universe. Of course, Tau believes the Human race to be the most powerful. She already senses herself as being one of the most powerful humans around... Other then her own mother who she never understood.
Back towards the story... Her father battled this Saiyan until this Bee individual became something... Terrifying. Tau's father described it as a faint glow of gold but almost as if she went Super Saiyan. However, he sensed it as a weaker version. Rumors were told that this was called a 'False Super Saiyan'. This form messed her father up so badly that it nearly killed him. However, the Saiyan snapped out of her pride when she saw someone hurt. She was left open and father took a chance and sent a Tzarluka into her stomach. He only won because she was left open. Her father said that he stomped on her chest as she apologized at least three times in mercy for her rage. He managed to let her go and flew off. Odd to say this, but when her father told her the location of this battle Tau visited the area years after his death and actually found clues to what happened to Bee...
Pieces of Saiyan armor were found around but there was no sign of the Saiyan's corpse anywhere. She assumed Bee escaped or was carried away. Tau has always wondered who this Bee saiyan was... Was she actually trying to be good? or... bad? Tau snapped out of it as she realized she was in the middle of something, watching a fight! She smirked, "Get to it! My only advice towards you Bernael... Relax as you move! Trust me, it'll work!" she said before leaning deeper into the tree... Her weights anchored down pretty good too...

Bernael listened and perked up as he heard both Atsuko and Tau's words to him. It was his move, his start to the spar would most likely be the one that gets him tossed aside like he was useless in a fight, or if he was going to become a good fighter and continue to rise up with these people. He would just think back in his mind, back to the bullies who would shove him for being an outcast, the same ones he powered up and defeated without even trying. He also thought back to the bear and his fallen wolf pup friends that he got the same change in. During those times in his life, his fighting was never weak, it was the best it had ever been, even better than when he gave it his all against the unbudging tree. It wasn't the power he needed at this moment, he didn't want the power, he wanted his confidence and his spirit back, he wanted to fight on par with an enemy who was clearly more skilled than he was. And it was at that point that his mind went blank, he listened to Tau's words to relax as he moved, and took it into himself even before his first move, his breathing would become relaxed and he would just close his eyes for a few short seconds. Those seconds were all he needed to decide how he would strike, and focus on getting in defensive and offensive balance. The seconds that had passed also gave him the time he needed to channel his ki, to feel the sensation he had felt not to long ago once more.
Once he was done with his little mind meditation session, he was prepared, he wanted to get this spar done fast but relaxed, strong but fluid. "Ready." He would say to himself, very quietly, he wasn't doing it as a warning, or as a repetitive continuation of what he was saying before, but more as a quick pyche evaluation with his body and mind to make sure they were synced up. Before another word was spoken, he just got on with it, he would rush at Atsuko with the most speed he could muster up, dashing side to side with every other step he took so as to be more seperated in his attack path. Before he got to her, he would slowly clench a single fist and ready it, as if he was preparing a punch, but without any other sign of changing, he went in for a sweep kick to try to knock her off her balance. Being the first attack of the spar, he wanted it to be a fake out hit, so that maybe it would leave the opponent dazed and confused about what was going on. He had know idea if it would work, but he wanted to try it just in case.
Atsuko remained still as her foe approached. He was trying to make her lose her nerve; but she stood strong. He closed the distance and clenched his fist, the Saiyan's arms were poised to deflect the blow should it come, however it was a feint. His leg impacted against hers, but she didn't lose her balance. Her stance was firmly rooted. With a grin, she brought her fists back, relaxing them and then using her palms to attempt to deliver a strong, yet decidedly non-fatal blow to Bernael's chest. If she proved successful in that endeavor, she would resume her calm stance.
"Good. But trying to throw your opponent off balance will only work if they're unskilled, or unprepared. Make sure to watch your own footwork so that doesn't happen to you. Keep trying.", she stated making sure to keep an eye on Bernael. She didn't take him to be the type to try and strike her unaware, but it was a force of habit. Never take your eyes off of your enemy, that was something that had gotten drilled into her head over several years. It's a lesson that could very well save her life one day.
And maybe it could save others, too. But that was neither here nor there, she wanted to focus on the fight. Bernael needed to know how to defend himself, and it might even convince him to perform good deeds. She wasn't entirely certain what her Order would think of acting so friendly to one with a Demonic lineage, let alone teaching them. But she felt this was right, neither Tau or Bernael seemed like bad people. If she was wrong... Well, she could worry about that later. She was still a Holy Knight that had a lot to learn, after all.
Normally, the Saiyan would have pressed the offensive after a failed attack. It was the wise thing to do in a real battle, but this was a sparring session. This wasn't a war. Perhaps she was being too easy on him, but she didn't see any fun nor honor in beating him down ruthlessly. She could save all of that for her true enemies... But was there even anything for her to fight in this day and age? What if the Demons of old simply didn't exist anymore? The man she was fighting now served as some proof, at least, that things had changed.
Well, the Knight supposed that if all she could do was spar among allies, that would be fine too. But in the back of her mind, she could hear a calling; she wanted to do more. She didn't just set out for that, wishing for the World to be in danger was folly, and she would never admit to doing as such. Ah, the complications of youth. She was overthinking things again, her journeys had only just started. Atsuko had decided on a few limitations for this bout in particular; she wouldn't use her Ki techniques. Bernael didn't know any.
It would make for an unfair advantage. She wouldn't be able to teach him any during the spar, either. This was the closest they could get to a fair fight.
