Same as every other day, Atsuko chose a direction and wandered until she found something of interest; and this time she was rewarded with a sprawling city she glanced to a sign next to the road. Apparently this was 'Satan City'. The Saiyan arched a brow, but continued her approach all the same. The Knight was curious on what she would find in this new area. It was a short walk, especially with the speed that she could move at, when she was entering the City proper she had slowed down to a normal walking pace. There were a lot of people here.
And... They were all staring at her. There wasn't a single person that Atsuko could pick out that was dressed like she was. It looked as though the Albino Saiyan had come from another time. Given that she was wearing armor and robes, and armed with sword it wasn't the most unfair assumption. All the same, Atsuko was feeling rather out of place and nervous. All she could really think to do was wave whenever people became fixated on her. Thankfully, it didn't last every long, most everyone just resumed their business like nothing was wrong. It helped that she wasn't drawing further attention to herself.
As she was walking around the city, she eventually came to what appeared to be a central plaza of sorts. They seemed to be holding some sort of event here. "Step right up, test your strength! See if you have what it takes to be a Champion!", a man on a platform was speaking to a crowd. On the stage next to him was a rather impressively sized weight. And it seems the rest of the area had other such tests to prove one's abilities. Though it seemed they were only looking for volunteers at the moment.
The Saiyan gave a small shrug and raised her hand. She was easy to pick out among the crowd. "Ah, yes! You there! Come on up and try to lift this weight!", he responded as he pointed her out. A path cleared and Atsuko made her way up onto the stage. She made her way in front of the weight, and then looked over to the man as if waiting for some cue. "Well, let's see it! And don't feel bad if you can't, these are designed so that only the strongest can perform them!"
The Albino Saiyan gave another shrug, she crouched down and grasped the weight... Hm. The Saiyan was still at her full power, she easily lifted the weight with just one arm. It... Wasn't that heavy. Maybe it would be for someone that didn't practice the usage of their Ki. The crowd and the announcer alike were more than a little surprised. "... It's not that heavy.", is all the Knight could think to say in response. And then she set the weight back down. "A-... Aha, yes. Well! I think you've proven enough. What was your name?", he inquired. The Saiyan then offered her Order's salute.
"Atsuko Inoue.", she introduced herself. "Well, Atsuko. I think you've more than proven yourself capable! We might contact you to participate in further events!", he then ushered her off the stage. Once more the Albino Saiyan could only offer a shrug as she then left. That was odd, to say the least. Where should she go now? There was a lot to see within the City, that much was certain. It made the mind race with possibilities. As she mused on this while walking down the street, she saw a familiar sight. Someone that she had met before!

Satan City was a huge and clumsy place... She didn't like coming here much because of the crowd and strange people. Shew walked through the crowd, trying to understand her surroundings a bit but it was just weird! She's used to living alone with less crowds then this! She was slowly walking through a carnival when she saw the people at the sides playing on games and rides. She had someone cry out to her, "Hey there little lady! Come throw this ball for a chance to win a big teddy bear! Come on!" and this made her feel annoyed and avoiding. "Oh come on! Don't be like that!" and that's where she continued on... She was annoyed by all this people just calling her out. Finally one struck her.. "Oi! Look at dis' lil' baby gal just ignorin' all these gents! Bet you won't try dis hammer and bell one! You pussy cat!" and that made her furious. "Oh, so you think I'm a big fat pussy huh tough guy? Lemme see you hit that bell!" she said. He simply laughed at Tau...
"This is a real man's game! Not even little girls can grasp this!" and that's where she grew angry inside. She knew what he was trying to do... He wanted money but she barely had any. The man slowly grabbed the hammer and gave the hammer a good grip... Such a douche... She twitched as he got ready, "Watch pussy cat!" and he'd slam the hammer down and hit the bell! This made her face red... "Oh you cocky bitch..." and with that several girls around him surrounded him all amazed. "Bet you can't beat that!" he said, holding two girls in his arms. She threw a zeni at him, "Watch you fucker! I'll show you!" and when she approached the spot, everyone watched. She grabbed the hammer slowly as the man picked the zeni up... "Right... Let's get you ready pussy cat!" he said... Her face reds itself up as she had the hammer over her shoulder... It actually wasn't that heavy... He put his foot behind the obstruct as if he was hiding something.. She looked at him, "If I win! You gotta hand me your biggest teddy bear! You fucking got it bub?" she said in a serious tone... He nodded slowly, himself smiling with his gold tooth showing, "Yeah, yeah... You'll definitely hit it up there.." he said. Oh that was a mistake. She pumped all her energy, power level, and ki into this one blow!
She quickly slammed the hammer down against the board, causing the bell to spring up! The bell gets penetrated through and the metal piece shoots off far in the air! The entire hammer snaps in two! Her entire arms had veins popping out of her skin... She panted slowly as the crowd looked shocked! Even the man himself was shaking, "There! I fucking told you I'm not a pussy! That's why I didn't want to pay! I didn't want to destroy your little device here! You even tried to cheat! I could sense you putting weight down to make this difficult but you're a big fool! Now hand me that one!"
The man shook badly, handing the large Lion bear towards her and she yanked it and walked away with it!
She felt pissy a bit but she had the big stuffed animal wrapped around with her arms as she carried it around... "I kinda got a little too far.." It was suddenly she saw someone across from her... It was Atsuko! Her friend that she met a bit back! She walked over, carrying the big lion animal. "Atsuko~! Do you want a stuffed animal? I kinda won it in this carnival we're in and I gotta say... The crowd here is a bunch of jerks!" she said before looking around with all the game tenders kinda scared of Tau for destroying that one guy's game... She smiled at her, "How are you doing today, Atsuko? You seem happy to see me for some reason.."

It was as Tau said, the Saiyan was happy to see her. Truth be told, Atsuko was feeling like perhaps she should leave the City soon rather than stay and encounter even more strange things. "Well, you see. I got called up onto a stage so I could life a weight. They were going on about how 'only a Champion could lift it'. It... Wasn't that heavy, I did it with one hand... Are all settlements like this, Tau?", the Albino Saiyan inquired, then taking in the fact that the Human Girl was lugging around a large stuffed lion toy. Done in the style of a teddy bear.
... Even while they were sharing their conversation, it seems like Atsuko was attracting more stares out of the two because of her outfit. She really did stick out like a sore thumb in such a setting. Her little stunt earlier probably didn't help matters, the Knight was struggling to think of something to talk about. She needed something to take her mind off of the fact that she had about twenty different people stop what they were doing and stare at her for a good chunk of the conversation she was having with Tau.
Well, more on that part later; the Saiyan was just asked if she'd like a stuffed animal. This prompted the Albino Saiyan to blink in response. Though she felt that it would be rude to refuse a gift, even if it was one that she could safely say she wasn't expecting in the slightest. "Ah, sure! I'll accept your gift.", she responded as she then held out an arm to accept the stuffed lion. Finally it was time to be a little more truthful about the fact that she was happy to see Tau. "Well, you look nice today."
She said, almost rather bluntly. The Knight was being truthful, the Human Girl was attractive. Though she did have a method in just bringing that up so suddenly, the more she could tune out their surroundings, the better. The best way to do that, short of meditation, was to hold a gripping conversation with her ally. The Albino Saiyan was uncertain as to how Tau might respond to her sudden comment, but considering that it wasn't an insult she only expected a surprised reaction at best... Though, now she stood out even more. A Knight in the City, holding a stuffed lion toy.
This was something you'd spot perhaps once in a lifetime. As rude as people were perhaps being, you couldn't exactly blame them for staring at the Saiyan so much...
Tau smiled warmly at Atsuko, obviously glad to actually see her herself. “It’s a carnival, it’s supposed to be weird like that. I really hate being at these things but it’s good to not train and meditate so I thought I could come here… I suffered a similar fate when they tricked me over. I pushed myself so hard as to make them all scared!” she said, smiling still. She then heard her say how she was nice and that made Tau smile more, “Awww, thanks! I appreciate that. Wanna ditch this place and go somewhere else?” she said. It was clear Tau didn’t like this place.
She would turn around and actually move out as if she was expecting her to follow. “Sorry, but I just hate this place… This area is full of freakin’ weird people and I don’t wanna be around here to deal with their shit again like earlier,” she said before getting through the gates. She turned around, “Do you wanna hang out today? I’m actually taking a break from all this training and stuff for once just to relax and let my body rest.” Tau was a bit happier than usual. She actually didn’t act serious at all for once. She looked at Atsuko in the eyes, “Well, where do you wanna hang out at today?”
Atsuko smiled, giving a nod when asked if she'd like to go elsewhere. "Certainly, I didn't expect to run into a place like this. I think I'll follow your lead.", the Saiyan responded as Tau then began to lead the way out of the carnival, it became pretty clear that the Human Girl didn't like this place in the slightest. The Knight could understand that, it didn't really seem like the type of place that she would prefer to stay in either. It didn't really help that the concept of a Carnival was so foreign to her. Then again, so was everything.
"It's alright, don't worry about it. I think I'd rather stay out of there too. I assumed that it was something to do with fighting, when I saw all of the 'test your might' signs...", the Albino Saiyan responded. Finally Tau stopped at the gates and asked if they should hang out today. "I'm not quite familiar with the term, but I assume it's to stick together? Certainly.", she responded. It was nice to see Tau in such a good mood, too. The Human Girl was in such a deathly serious mood before. Though it did make sense, they were training.
"Well, I might need to follow your lead. I'm uncertain as to what you could find in a City, I only just arrived moments ago.", she answered truthfully. Atsuko wasn't experienced with anything outside of the Mountain where her Temple resided. And the scope of the City was really setting in, she couldn't find her way to any decent spots to go to if her life depended on it, leaving was the easy part. She could just take flight. But she'd need to rely on Tau for finding anything of importance in the City. Well, even a tour could prove fun.
It'd allow them some time to rest, and get better acquainted with each other.
Tau turned towards her, smiling.. "You know... There is one place we could go but it's pretty far away..." she says to Atsuko before beginning her walk. She motions her to follow. "Right this way!" she says before beginning their trip across the long Satan city. As they traveled through, Atsuko may not realize this but Tau is actually apart of these people like a colony of ants. She may see her the same as the rest of these humans in a way which seems very logical in a point. She's human and everyone else is human. It would feel slightly awkward for the Saiyan. She would walk passed an Ice cream shop, "This is the ice cream shop, it's pretty tasteful in there if you ever want something sweet to eat.." she said before continuing down the road.
Tau was walking now through the slums, she kinda frowned a bit ahead but didn't show Atsuko her face just yet until they arrived towards the spot... A wooden gate left opened and broken was there. She walked up slowly to it and pushed it open, turning towards Atsuko with her sad face. "This was my home... I trained here with my mom and I often got abused in a way in order to become stronger. It was such a happy place before my dad died... I used to love my mom but after I made my wish to become a warrior... She wasn't my mom anymore but just a master. She loved me still but it just wasn't the same anymore like it once was when my father was alive... Long story short... My mother moved away from this place and now has a better home. She never wants to see me anymore... We'll get back into that another time..." she said before forgetting about it.
She carried on as they exited the slums finally. They came closer and closer to their destination, smiling she pulled herself to a halt and spreads her arms out to show her the view. AN ARCADE! She smiled and turned around, "This was where I watched and saw the kids play in. This is the first time I'll be coming here to play! It's basically full of games! Aren't you excited! Let's go in!" she said running in. She walked in slowly looking around in amazement. There were so many machines! Even a Dance Dance Revolution! So exciting! "Which one you wanna do?!"
Tau smiled at the Saiyan, and explained that she knew exactly where to go. In light of that, the Knight followed as the Human Girl led the way! Though... As she walked through the streets alongside Tau, Atsuko began to realize just how out of place she was here. She felt out of place anywhere, to be honest. It seemed as though the only place she was truly a part of was her home back on the Mountain. Well, she wasn't just going to run back to it. The only way she would fit in is by getting out there and trying her damnedest.
The Human Girl stopped, pointed out an ice cream shop nearby. "Oh? I'll have to keep that in mind! That sounds pretty good.", the Saiyan replied with a smile. Then the Human Girl resumed walking. The Saiyan noted that the general state of the city began to decrease in this particular section... Was this where the poor lived? Respectfully, Atsuko chose not to comment on that, however. It seemed like something was bothering her companion, but the Albino Saiyan wouldn't know what to say in order to comfort her. The stopped in front of what was left of a wooden gate.
Tau finally turned to her, and her sadness became clear to the Knight. Before she could even ask what was bothering her, it seems as though the Human Girl decided to go into it. So this was where she lived, and it seems that she trained here as well... Normally, Atsuko would be able to relate with fond memories. But it seems as though it proved rough on Tau. The Albino Saiyan frowned lightly, and was about to offer a hug, but just like that, the Human Girl dropped the subject and continued the tour of the City.
Naturally, Atsuko was still worried about her companion. But she wasn't going to press on the subject. It seemed as though they finally reached their destination, Tau spread her arms out to accentuate the view. It was an Arcade, though... Just like before, it was a foreign concept to the Knight. She couldn't help but smile, though. The Human Girl was happy again, that was cause enough not to let the mood get dragged down. Tau turned and explained briefly what the structure was for, and then ran inside. The Knight shook her head slightly, and wandered inside as well.
It truly was an impressive sight, various game cabinets and machines littered the building. There were quite a few patrons as well, and quite simply; there was a lot of noise. Atsuko found it all a little overwhelming, she was used to large open spaces that allowed one a moment to think. This was a polar opposite. The Human Girl seemed right within her element here, however. And asked which one she'd like to do. The Saiyan pondered for a moment, but honestly didn't have the faintest idea where to begin. "Haha... This is my first time being to a place like this... I'll follow your lead again."
Atsuko mustered her reply, still rather amazed by everything around her...
Tau smiled a bit, obviously seeing Atsuko amazed. She would slowly take her sweatpants off and throw them on the ground, making a large thump. She keeps her sweatshirt sleeveless on. All the nerdy boys around begin starring at them from Tau's short shorts to Atsuko's body armor. Tau pointed to the Dance Dance revolution machine, "Atsuko! Try this one! This one is so fun! I remember coming in here once and actually trying this. You gotta be quick though! It's a fast pace machine! Unless.... You choose the beginners difficulty! You're a warrior though! You should pick the hardest difficulty!" she said laughing at Atsuko as if that was a challenge to face her in a dance off. She slowly took her shoes off as well and stepped onto the dancing arcade game and slipped a few coins in.
She giggled, slipping more coins in. "Hey Atsukooo~, come on! I put a few extra coins in for you to dance on! Set on the pads next to me! We're gonna see who's better!" she said giggling. She pressed all her keys down just to make sure they're all functional and that's where the fun begins! She leaned forward and began pressing the buttons on the front to select a song! She wiggles around freely like a kid, just trying to find a good song. Next thing you know... She finds a song opening for an anime! She clicks it and bumps her difficulty at the highest setting. She then slowly pressed her ready button, "I'm ready! Click whatever difficulty you want and then press ready!" she said. Once they both were ready, the game commenced! The game started so quick with her constantly keeping her feet on the beats. She was actually not missing a single button but this made her feel happy even more! She finally missed a beat as apart of being human, making her chuckle, "Dang it, I missed a beat!" and she kept going!
The song felt like forever but she kept herself afloat until the end. She made herself smile warmly as she looked at her score. "ONLY ONE MISSED! HAHAH BEAT THAT ATSUKO!" she said giggling a bit. She'd step off and put her sweatpants and shoes back on... "What did you get Atsuko?" she said. She listened to her reply and then chuckled... "Lets head over to another machine!" she said looking around for another machine to hop on!
Tau was once again quite eager to take the lead... Whoa, whoa! That was a little too eager! The Human Girl just removed her pants, right in front of everyone. If not for the fact that she was wearing short shorts underneath, that was going to get very awkward... Though, the fact that Tau was showing off so much was still distracting in it's own right. The Albino Saiyan was used to people wearing a lot more, to say the least. Where she grew up, what she was wearing right now was normal. So anything under that was eye-catching to begin with.
Regardless, she was led to a machine by the name of "Dance Dance Revolution". The Saiyan arched a brow at the sight, the concept of dancing was not unknown to her. But how could this machine help with it? What was so revolutionary about it? Though mercifully, Tau explained what the game was about. Hmm. So less about dancing, and more about how fast one could be? It sounded like intense training, then. Well, the Knight wasn't one to back down from a challenge, especially one that had been made verbal! The Saiyan stepped up onto the dance pad.
And then she selected her difficulty, the highest, of course. And then she began to tune out her surroundings, focusing entirely on the screen in front of her. Finally, the song began and the Albino Saiyan unleashed a flurry of steps to keep up with the indications that flowed endlessly. The expression on her face, and her manner of movement... It didn't really seem like playing a game, to her. It was more like taking up a new training regime, and she was determined to find out what her absolute limit was. The song proved a somewhat long 'dance'.
Though it eventually ended. Atsuko took a few moments to catch her breath, looking over to Tau. Who was at this point redressing and asking what she ended up getting. "I ended up getting every single one.", the Knight replied. Seeming to be in thought afterwards. "An unusual training method. I'll have to keep that in mind if I want to get faster.", the Albino Saiyan then added. Which caused Tau to let out a chuckle in response. Shortly after, the Human Girl was urging her on to another machine! The Knight couldn't help but smile at that, and cooperated.
So what was next on the table? Odd though this place was to her, it was proving a very enjoyable experience. And she was able to see Tau happy for once. It suited her much better. "You know... I think we should come here more often. I haven't seen you this happy, even when you were training.", the Saiyan commented truthfully. She could get used to this, true it would take her time to... Adjust to everything, but she could hardly say that it was unpleasant to be involved in... Even if she was still attracting stares, though not quite as many as Tau was.
The Human Girl must have thought she didn't look very attractive. But... Even Atsuko had trouble not stealing glances back on the dancing machine.
Tau looked very surprised! "You did all that and didn't miss a single one?! What the heck was I doing!" she said laughing a bit from all that. She smiled still, looking at Atsuko. "That wasn't training silly! That was just a game! You do these kind of things to have fun and get some joy out of being here!" she said. She turned around, after heading to an arcade machine to try once more! Then... Atsuko pointed out something.. She was being happy. Tau kinda stopped and turned her head, "Yeah... I am happy aren't I...? Sorry... I shouldn't be so happy because it's not what I really am... I'm usually a very serious person and for a good reason too... I'm just more into training and such then this. This is all just my childhood coming out right now... After we leave today, I won't be the same. I'll most likely get back into training and attempt to grow further and further until I drop dead,"
Tau slightly frowned a bit, "Im sorry... I know I'm being a fat bum... Let's just enjoy the moment..! Let's play... This one! This one's called Area 51! This is where you shoot aliens and when you die, you become the alien yourself and lose the game! So weird and all! Anyways grab a gun!" she says with a giggle before putting coins in for both of them. This was a very old arcade shooter so it may have been bullshit! Tau would be shooting at the zombies and sometimes they weren't being hit! "What the fuck?! The screen is broken!" she said before dying on her part. Atsuko may die as well because of this error with the good old game over...!
Tau threw her gun down... "Dumb game! What a piece of shit! This game was much more fun back in the day..." she said pouting... "Where to next, Atsuko...? You pick now!"
"Ah, I see. I guess I'm still getting used to the concepts of all of this.", the Albino Saiyan replied calmly, and then it was off to another arcade machine! Though, first Tau did add onto the subject that briefly came up, her own happiness. It seemed that the Human Girl was building up some sort of natural wall. Atsuko couldn't claim to understand all the details, but, she knew that it was better to see her like this. And if she kept training in such a serious fashion all the time... Well, even the Knight had to rest. She was going to send herself to an early grave.
It was due to that mentality that she decided... "You shouldn't do that. You can keep training, but you need to be happy, too.", the Saiyan responded. If Tau was really set on training a lot, then the two could go off and have a spar or two. But for now, it was time to have fun. And she hoped that the Human Girl could come to realize that. And hopefully, she would realize that there would be more times to relax in the future. If she didn't... Atsuko was just going to have to teach her that.
Whatever the case, Tau had apologized and led her to the next game. This time it was a shooting type that was called 'Area 51', the Albino Saiyan picked up one of the guns, and then essentially followed Tau's lead, though Atsuko was able to notice that there did seem to be some sort of issue with either the controllers, or the screen. The inputs didn't always work like they were supposed to. She put in a good effort, but that's such a massive handicap that of course, she got a game over as well.
Eh, they were designed to eat coins anyway. With a calm shrug she set the gun back into it's place and then looked at Tau. "Ah well, it's fine...", the Saiyan stated in attempts to calm Tau down. Which mostly proved unnecessary, then the Human Girl asked where they should go next. And the Albino Saiyan pondered on it for a moment. Hmm, that was a good question. She began to look around the Arcade, what was there to catch her eye? Truth be told, everything looked pretty exciting or interesting at the very least. Her own lack of experience sort of made it a disadvantage.
Well, perhaps it was time for conversation while they searched. "Truth be told, I'm just glad that we're spending time together... And I meant what I said, you deserve to be happy.", Atsuko said with a smile. "And... I'd like to make you happy.", she added. Finally it seemed like the Saiyan found something! This was an interesting arcade cabinet... The screen displayed what could be simply called Bullet Hell patterns. Generally always designed to look complex and beautiful. It was eye catching to her. She glances towards Tau. "What about this one? It seems interesting."
"It's just... something I'm used to... I cannot handle myself being happy all the time for it exploits weakness and even your own fears if not careful." she explained to the Saiyness. It was quite clear that she didn't want to be such a scared or cowardly person... She would crack her fingers and such feeling slightly down. "Well... I'm glad we're spending time with each other! That's what friends do for each other! We're supposed to be hanging out and all this stuff. Who cares about fighting anyways?" she said in a slightly happy tone.. "For now at least... We're just having a good time and all!" she said as if she's a broken record... Tau was just trying to make this a relaxing moment for her was all... She didn't want to become a training freak right now at least, just enjoy the cool ride of being around in the public like the average human..
Tau would hear her say those five words before her eyes would widen, "You want to make me happy..?" she said in a blushy manner. She looked at Atsuko in the eyes, "Maybe... This whole arcade thing is just a bit boring now..." she said, in a silky tone... "Let's go... outside! Outside and see the world!" she said before grabbing her hand and pulling her outside. "Let's go fly around.." she said before shooting off lightly in the air.
Tau had her own fears about being open with her emotions, believing that they led to weakness. The Albino Saiyan had a few things to say about that, but the way things were moving forward, she didn't get much of a chance to say anything at the moment. But what did surprise the Saiyan is that the Human Girl had such a pleasant reaction to what the Knight said. The Saiyan did want her to be happy, and was willing to make that happen. Tau wanted an entire change of pace, grabbing Atsuko by the hand and leading her outside, the Knight cooperated with her.
"Whoa! Haha, alright. That sounds nice!", the Albino Saiyan let out in response, trying to keep up with the Human Girl. Nearly as soon as they got outside, her companion was taking flight! Of course, Atsuko started doing the same, laughing a little at just how fast Tau was going right now. "I forgot how excited you could get.", she commented as they began to ascend into the air. She still had no idea what her friend was wanting to do next, 'go out and see the world' was pretty vague. Were they really just going to pick a random direction and fly?
Well, Atsuko wouldn't have to think on it for too long, after all. Considering the pace that Tau was moving at, she'd have her answers soon enough!
