The Demon Boy had made his way high into the Tsumisumbri Mountains, and finally found a good spot to put some training in. He focused as much as he could in himself and then his demonic energies burst forth in his body [Demon Heart] and he would start punching and kicking at the air, before he would quickly change to expelling as much ki out of his body in an aura blast. Right after the move, Bernael would fall back and just rub on his nose slightly, he was still just an amateur in controlling ki, but at least he was getting a minor hang of his ki so that he could use them for offenssive purposes instead of just moving it through his body. He was very proud of his progress, and wanted to continue, but the cold was stopping him from controlling and training the ki very well. No, that was a lie, it was just making it HARDER to, he had to push past that little delay and make it have to be controlled.
Once again, Bernael stood up and started punching and kicking a bit more, letting the blood flow through the rest of his body as he would train, his power had yet to drop down and he kept on pushing forward, till finishing it off with an Explosive Wave this time, instead of an Aura Blast. With the Explosive Wave being twice as strong as the Aura Blast, the snow in the little orb around him dissipated, leaving a neat little circle of cleared area for him to sit in. He once more sat back down inside the circle, his power level and transformation dropping down to its normal state, and then he focused as hard as he could on repressing his ki, instead of pushing it out. Using ki suppression, he tried to well up and condense the ki within his body so as to lower its ability to be sensed. He sort of worried that if anybody had a way to sense ki, like Tau had in the past, the fluxuation in his readings would cause them to head over, but he didn't care too much as a little company could potentially be nice for his surroundings.
Bernael sighed a slight sigh of grief, realizing that he was probably messing with his focus thinking so many things over at once, and then he just decided to calm down and focus all of his mind on suppressing his ki. This time, once he was done with it, he didn't even take the time to wait, he instantly pushed out his demonic energy to their peak, and then once more tried to fluxuate the ki around in his body, but it felt too sinister, he got scared and the power left him all at once. He was one messing around with ki for the short time being, and just waiting in his circle for a bit to see what would happen.

Frustrated with the events of the past few days Athren had found himself an isolated area where he figured he'd be alone. He was on a cold mountain side that had been covered with snow. It wasn't exactly the most suitable place for a living creature but it was something different. Every single breathe that Athren had taken was completely visible. The cool air crisply kissed his exposed skin. It wasn't the best conditions but it was a challenge for a saiyan warrior. Currently Athren stood upon a peak, his posture was firm as he had his arms crossed tightly against his chest. His ocean blue eyes stared out blankly into the landscape. He wasn't necessarily looking for anything particular, he just had a lot going through his mind. He was thinking about everything. ~Damn, How could I be bested by a namekian? I'm the saiyan prince! It's unheard of.~ Athren had thought.
It wasn't just that running through his mind, it was the fact that he had been at his weakest point in the presences of Earthlings. That didn't do his races reputation any good. He was supposed to be a saiyan warrior, the most brutal and fearless race to exist in the universe. A cold breeze blew across the mountainside, Athren's hair ruffled in the wind yet the saiyan didn't budge. He was too deep in his own thoughts. ~ If a Namekian could beat me, What else can? A Human..? No. That couldn't happen.~ His thoughts were quite foolish to be honest though it wasn't all his fault. His pride was a big player in this event. It wasn't easy for a Saiyan to accept a defeat such as the one he received.
Athren's fists tensed up lightly as it sat upon his chest. It was haunting him. He just couldn't wrap that failure around his head. It didn't add up. "DAAAAAAMN IT! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Athren shouted out as loudly as he could, his voice echoing throughout the landscape. Anybody near would've been able to hear it quite clear. During his shouting Athren's orange aura flared up around him, his arms came to his sides as he let his emotion escape him. It was at this time that Athren heard a rumble coming from the heights of the mountain above him. He didn't know what it was and he turned around to figure it out. His right eyebrow had arched curiously as he did. What he saw he didn't expect, it appeared his roar had caused an avalanche from above him. "This is interesting." He muttered to himself as he was going to let the environment challenge his strength, even if he didn't feel one hundred percent he wasn't going to back down. The snow rolled down the mountain slope quickly, there was nothing that could stop it or even slow it down. Athren smirked lightly as he lifted his right hand up and had his opened palm aimed towards it. The roar of the rolling snow had gotten louder and louder until finally it was just about to hit him. It was in that moment that Athren used his Nova Press technique to blast a clear path for himself. Snow rolled by him to his left and to his right and off the edge that he was standing on. Athren then lowered his hand back to his side. "Simple." He mumbled. Word Count; 563.

Calmly breathing in and out in his little circle, Bernael would try to focus even more on his ki training. However, that was easily interrupted when the sounds of a man's anger quickly pierced his ears and broke his concentration. "W-What?!" He would say to himself, quickly standing up and looking around before he could see what looked like an abnormal orange among all the white snow, with the noise also coming from that direction, he could only assume that he saw what he was looking for. Almost instantly, the boy would clamber to start running over there to see if everything was alright, a snowy mountain plus an angered yell was certainly nothing to just pass off as okay. It didn't take much time for the boy to notice an avalanche rolling directly towards where the orange glow was, and Bernael would just sorta break into an all out sprint. If he couldn't make it over there in time to help someone, he could at least search for them in the after pile of snow that would pile up if they got hit, if they were to even get hit that was.
The boys worries were luckily cleared quickly, as the avalanche mysteriously cleared to be around where the glow was?! "That's pretty freaky... definitely not natural, maybe it could be someone that just cleared themselves from danger, that's a relief" Bernael would then say, turning and starting to head back to his circle that he made earlier before quickly stopping himself in his tracks. He realized very quickly that any chance to meet someone else, especially if they were anything like the others he met, like him, should be quickly taken, even if there wasn't any learning involved, it could be a good chance to meet another type of person that could be encountered out in the world. This caused the demon boy, without any hesitation, to pivot back and power up to increase his speed, as he went back towards the ledge where the glow from before was situated.
Without any way to take flight, the climb up to the peak ledge was certainly a hard one, as every single frostbitten grab he took to climb upwards hissed and attacked his fingers, almost as if they were infested with angry ants that didn't want to be disturbed. It certainly wasn't the most safe thing for him to be doing, nor was it the most comfortable, but he had to find out multiple things. What the glow was, if it was safe, and most importantly for his mind, what he could learn from whatever it was. He didn't even care if it would be a waste of time, if there was nothing there and his eyes were playing tricks on him, so be it, the climb could have been some conditioning for his bodily resistances.
This didn't last forever though, because by the time he reached the peak, his determination had ran out and he just hoped that his eyes weren't playing tricks on him. Bernael took a second to heat up his hands with demonic energy, glowing a dark purple as it encompassed his hands, letting the aura provide a slight sense of warmth to him as he stood there. Once he was all finished up, he would take a look around, he couldn't see much as he was still adjusting to the higher altitude and the cold air, as well as him climbing up where the avalanche had passed through, causing the air to be a little foggier than usual from the kick up of snow. He just started heading in the direction of the glow from before, while saying out sort of softly but loud enough to be heard, so as to not cause an aftermath of avalanche "Hello, is anyone, or I guess anything up here?" and then just stopping to see if he would get a response.
Really? Athren couldn't believe it. He heard a voice. Who the hell would have been up here? He picked this location in hopes of being alone, in hopes of training without anybody annoying him. Damn it, he just couldn't get anything right lately could he? Though, he was curious as to whom was there and why. Where they a fighter who was training to get stronger or simply some fool that had found himself lost? Athren turned around to face the figure that was responsible for the voice. He didn't expect to see what he did. His hair ruffled in the cold Arctic breeze lightly. He wasn't sure of what to say, he wasn't exactly in a talkative mood. In all honesty, the Prince just wanted to be left alone but if that wasn't going to happen he'd have to make the best of it. He didn't want to run his mouth at the moment because he didn't need enemies. That would've but him in a tough situation considering the saiyan race was already having two conflicts that he knew about. There wasn't a need to bring them onto another one.
"What the hell do you want?" Athren asked aloud. His ocean blue eyes would've been on the figure in front of him. Athren's posture was stern and tall. His arms crossed tightly against his chest. Every breath he took would have been visible. Word Count: 235 Total Word Count: 798

Bernael paused for a moment - Well it DID have a voice in fact, so it was certainly alive whatever it was. He didn't want to impose because the voice certainly didn't sound like it was content with another person around. But before he would leave, he at least wanted to strike up some sort of conversation to meet someone new. "Well uh, its not that I really want anything, I just saw that avalanche and the orange glow... got worried a bit even though it looked safe. Just wanted to check on how everything was up here. But, it looked like you did something to make the avalanche go out of your way, so I thought maybe you were somebody strong, somebody that I could possibly learn something from instead of training all on my lonesome." Bernael would say, trailing along while still talking towards the figure.
The demon boy didn't know why, but he was really interested in this other person, now that he knew for sure they were a person and not just some anomaly in the mountains. He knew that his trip up the mountainside wasn't for naught, and that there was the possibility to get something out of this, even if the thing he got was just a hostile conversation that wouldn't go over well. "So uh, what were you doing up here anyways, I am only up here for conditioning training in the cold, but I still kind of want to know about you too" Bernael would say on through the mist towards the figure, waiting for some sort of response.

Athren would've arched a brow as the kid said he got worried a bit about Athren's safety. Sure, it was safe to assume that getting hit by an avalanche could be devastating for a creature, but Athren wasn't exactly a normal Earthling. "There isn't a need to worry about me kid, I can handle myself quite well." With that being said Athren turned his back to the kid. Honestly, what the hell was he even doing up here? Athren didn't really care, all he knew is that the kid was distracting him from his training and that was the last thing he wanted. The kid commented on learning something instead of training alone. "I highly doubt I can help you with anything kid, I'm here to train alone and that's it." Athren paused for a moment. He had answered all the kids questions quite rudely. What he couldn't figure out though, is why he was up there at such a young age. Surely, there was better spots that'd suit him more than the freezing mountaintops.
The kid seemed like he really wanted to know about Athren, though Athren wasn't exactly being the most friendliest he opened up a little bit. It was enough to be a conversation starter if the kid really wanted to dig into it. "Plus, It's quiet here. I've got a lot on my damn mind." This would be referring to his strength against the Namekian and his current situation as Prince. He was just overwhelmed by it all and didn't know his best route out. He was trying to push through but he couldn't. Deep down, he believed he knew why it was taking him so long to return home and take the throne, yet he wasn't ready or willing to accept that matter. He was a saiyan after all, he needed to be cold, strong and ruthless without showing a single inch of mercy. Word Count: 319 Total Word Count: 1,117

Even though the voice remained a bit rude, Bernael didn't mind all that much. At the very least he was getting some kind of conversation out of the situation, and even if it ended with a lot less than good terms... the empty, lonely feel of the mountain was drifting away and Bernael was quite content. He looked at it like some storybook, a person trying to be nice to another who was shrugging the other one off sort of, when the two were alone and nothing else was around to get companionship out if. It was quite a sad storybook trait, but there was still a nostalgic hint to it that made it just a bit more enjoyable.
The demon boy slowly thought to himself about the last words the man said out, before just bluntly saying out. "Well yeah, this place is quite desolate and quiet, but not if a man on a hill starts yelling, causing avalanches and the such, it sort of ruins the peace and quiet, don't you know?~" Bernael would tease, seeing if a different way of approaching the man would cause a better outcome. But for all Bernael knew, that sort of talk would just spark more rude comments and put a giant wedge between the two out in the freezing tundra.
Sort of blinking, Bernael realized his possible mistake, and decided to take it back for the time being. "Sorry about that, I was just wanting to tease you a bit because of you talking about the quietness, while having yelled so loud. Uh... I am sorry, I know I may be intruding a bit here, but its usually better to talk out your inner problems with somebody else, and me being a third party and all, not having to do with the situation in there, would be a better person to talk to than someone biased who is part of the problem. I am just throwing that out there, since I am already up here and around, with the ability to talk about that stuff at a moments notice." Bernael would explain in a calm town, trying to see if maybe he could patch up what could have been driven between the two people.
Well, After Athren's hostile tone the kid remained. It was actually slightly impressive though Athren couldn't determine if the kid was just that curious or didn't know what he was dealing with. Athren listened carefully to the kids next words. It was actually kind of amusing considering he had a point though their meaning of quiet was quite different. When Athren had mentioned quiet he had meant in the sense that there wasn't much activity around there by others. The population count for the area was extremely low. In fact, if Athren were a betting man he'd bet that the mountainside population would've been at a total of two this very moment. Athren would have went on to explain this. "I meant quiet as there isn't a high population and little distraction but I see your point." Athren acknowledged the kids point, even if he had been teasing the prince. The kid went on to apologize to the older of the two, though honestly Athren wasn't sure why the kid was doing so.
After the apology Athren heard out the kids suggestion. He had a point, it couldn't have hurt to open up to somebody about it. The issue here was quite obvious though, this kid didn't have any experience in the situation Athren faced. The kid most likely wasn't royalty and he most likely wasn't on an alternate planet trying to build himself up to fill his mothers shoes. "It's fine kid, save the apology." With this being said Athren paused for a moment. He debated in his head whether or not to open up about his situation, he figured he'd summarize it briefly and let the conversation go where ever it had led too. Athren didn't want to overwhelm the kid with his problems. "I'm overwhelmed. To be honest, I try too damn hard yet I feel as If I'm never good enough. I've got some big shoes to fill, yet I can't seem to fit them. It's a pain." With that being said Athren went quiet. He didn't want to explain much more as of now but he was slowly coming to a conclusion about the problem. He wasn't sure, but he was beginning to think that the throne wasn't for him. Just because his mother was a great ruler, didn't mean he HAD to be. Maybe he just needed to face the facts, maybe he just didn't want to sit in the throne. Only time would tell for sure. Hearing all of the mans responses, Bernael lightened up a bit, the guys hostility seemed to have went away, and he was opening up to. That could be very nice if it could go somewhere else. He slowly just thought over what Athren had said, and nodded to himself slowly about how he wanted to reply. "Well, I don't know what shoes you are trying to put on here, but, if you have big shoes to fill, but the shoes themselves are a few sizes too big and are uncomfortable, maybe you are buying the wrong shoes. Plus, hand me downs aren't that great... wouldn't you prefer to buy your own pair of shoes, or to make them for yourself... so that they could truly be yours instead of someone else's. It might just not be in your future to be the one to get those shoes." was how Bernael tried to reply, but he felt that his emphasis on shoes was maybe a bit too, literal.
"I know that might not make much sense but what I am trying to say is... if you're trying to take place of someone else, and you feel you are supposed to be taking that place... but it seems like you aren't going to be able to take their place... well... maybe you aren't supposed to take their place, what if it's someone else's job, and your future is to go on to do something else, something a little more for... you, I guess I should say" was how Bernael truly decided to finish it off, he was a lot more content with his view, but he didn't know exactly how much this other person would like it, for all he knew they could hate the words he was saying and it could start another conflict. It didn't matter much if that was the case though, as his words were a good summary at least in his own eyes, and he hoped that if there was to be a conflict between the two males, that it would be after some serious thought.
However, the boy decided to move on a bit anyways. "If you've lived your entire life, chasing after the dream of taking that persons place. Take a step back, think about it for a while, discuss what YOU really want, and not what that other person would want you to be. You have to live your own life for yourself, and if that means disappointed someone else from their expectations of you, so be it. It's not their place to tell you that you're wrong, you know?" was how Bernael wanted to really drive his point home to the man, hopefully that would get him to think more, or maybe clear up his problems. Who knows, aside from the man himself.
Athren had maintained his firm posture, he kept his back turned to the figure. There was a slight hesitation in his words, he was obviously looking for the correct thing to say which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. He was talking to a saiyan after all, they were known to snap over little things. It usually involved the saiyans pride being attacked and everybody knew that didn't take much. Athren listened carefully, the words that he was hearing was exactly what he needed. Athren's eyes would've widened as he heard it. This was crazy, a complete stranger was putting everything in proper perspective. Though Athren's mindset regarding the situation was similar to the words being said, it was pleasant to hear it from another source. The young prince was almost in shock, he didn't know how to reply to any of this. He took a moment of silence to figure everything out. Athren knew that the one who was speaking didn't understand the full extent of the situation, Athren was born into royalty. It was almost a responsibility. Athren had felt obligated to take the throne. Finally, He had spoken up. "Funny thing is, I've been conflicting exactly what you just said for quite some time now. You see, You're looking upon the saiyan prince. How does one born in this position refuse to rise up and do what's expected? It isn't as easy as picking my own path. Not with everybody else expecting you to do right by the queen."
With that being said, Athren would've gone silent once more. He didn't have much else to add. In fact, he almost wanted to leave to be alone once more. He liked having plenty of time to himself and now he had a reason. He had to think things over yet again, this was a beneficial meeting so far. Though it wasn't exactly the most entertaining, it helped. Word Count: 318 Total Word Count: 1,848

The demon boy would listen intently as the man would respond, it sounded like Bernael had said at least something to get to the man. But Bernael seemed to be talking to somebody on an entirely different level than he was expecting when he thought up his talk about taking over roles. The person he was talking to was a saiyan prince in fact, though he didn't really know what a saiyan was, unless he happened to meet one in the past, but they never addressed themselves as saiyans to him before. The prince aspect stuck in the air like there was a surface along with a sticky note. However, this wasn't going to be very hard to explain, as he had all the information he needed on the subject from his old school history books, though it could be entirely different and his attempts to explain fall out of the air, useless. But it certainly wasn't respectful to be doing what he was doing to a prince, so he needed to pick his words carefully before saying them.
"Hierarchies are certainly big shoes to fill and all, but... it's more than that. How do you think a hierarchy is made, built... how is it supposed to be filled if a family tree dies out. There was once a civilization without order, but it was hardly civilized. There was nothing keeping it from destroying itself, no ruler to give their rule. But some day, there were people there as Kings and Queens, how did this happen? Who knows, they could be highly revered people known for their ruthlessness and nobody challenged their rule. They could have been a hero known by everyone as the best of the current generation, and nobody challenged their rule. It could even be something along the lines of just making a new civilization and just appointing themselves as ruler. There are tons of ways to really break the fold and appoint one as the king or queen." Bernael explained, long winded before taking a short pause to gather himself once more.
"However, what would say happen if the king and queen didn't make a son or daughter, who would become the next ruler? Would rule fall to nothingness or would a new leader be appointed? Who can know say for certain how it'd end up. Also what happens if someone steps down from rule to pass on to somebody else, or just leave open for the taking. Its funny how things work with hierarchy, but think about it a bit like this. Someone born into a position of power can easily turn it down, if they are fully ready for it to be passed onto someone else. In fact, people could even look at it as honorable to do this, as its accepting your unfitness for the position, or the end of a family rule, to pass onto someone else who could be more fit. You don't have to 'refuse' the role, but you certainly can take it, and appoint someone else as a better successor to you. Actually, that might be a better thing to do than to just run from it. Find someone more fit to take the throne and rule it, if you can. Appoint them as the successor to you so that they can take it when they are prepared." was what Bernael would continue with, once again winded from the ongoing conversation.
"Sorry that I am running my mouth, I just don't think its right for you to be forced into a position you don't feel you're ready for, just because you want to live up to everybody else's expectations." was what he would finally adding on, going quiet so as not to interrupt the prince's time to think about all of what he just said any further, especially since the prince came here for peace and quiet and ended up with a random commoner with a running mouth.
The young saiyan warrior would've listened carefully to every single word the other had said. He took it all in the best he could. It was without a doubt a great chunk of advise, in fact every little thing he had said so far was. It was quite impressive and it was giving Athren quite a lot to think about. The issue though was it was dragging on for too long. Athren didn't need it to go on forever, he wanted to be alone and it had just gone too far. There wasn't anything else Athren needed to hear so it was truly becoming an annoyance.
"I appreciate the advise." Athren paused for a moment, he tried to gather a proper request. There wasn't a need to sound ungrateful or rude as he did initially. He actually gained something from this meeting, even if it was something small. It was still quite useful in the saiyan's eyes. "With all due respect, I wouldn't mind being left alone to gather my thoughts." With that being said, Athren didn't have anything else to add. He believe he had handled his request quite respectfully and kindly. He was slowly turning over a new leaf. He didn't know whether to embrace it or fear it. Word Count: 212 Total Word Count: 2,060.
