Thanans
Starting Planet: Earth
Starting Power: 1000
Appearance: The very fact that they are beings created by a god, who both embodies and governs death, thanans have humanoid appearances, even down to having five fingers and toes. However, this is where the similarities in terms of bodies compared to humans stop. The features of their forms relate to death as well as various other dark themes, which explains why many of them appear demonic. They have skin colors that range from shades of blue and black. Other such colors are, while not rare, are uncommon. A common characteristic is that most of them don't have hair. Some do hold this feature, however, it is more common on females. A multitude of them have piercing eyes, giving them a deadly gaze when angered. Similar to majins, thanans have black sclera. Although, some of them can have sclera that is white as well. Two of the most notable features about the thanans are two large, ear-like antennae and long, highly flexible tails. Said parts can work as extra appendages. Their tails especially can assist them in situations such as battle while their hands are occupied. Their antennae tend to react depending on how they feel, similar to animal ears such as dogs and cats. When depressed, sorrowful, or despairing, their antennae droop downward. When feeling excited, angry, or joyous, they perk up. It is even to the point where they look like horns. Their antennae also work as ears. Due to how large they are, they have enhanced hearing.
Despite how they look, they give off an air of kindness and serenity, devoid of any danger when they are calm, joyful, and happy. When angered, however, thanans have be known for their famous Death Glares, which radiate pure controlled rage, hate, and murderous intent, which they direct at their enemies. Concerning the builds of their people, many male thanans tend to have sleek, slim physiques. Their bodies are toned and fit, especially those who are fighters of their race. The females possess a more curvaceous build. While still sleek, they, like the males, have toned bodies and are highly attractive. The clothes commonly worn among their people consist of
Background:
[History]
The thanans are a race that had come into existence shortly after man. From the belief of their people and humans, it is said that they were created by Bael, The God of Death himself. From this supposed fact, they are considered Children of Life and Death. This is quite fitting for them, considering what they are capable of. The name for their race comes from the name Thanatos, The Greek God of Death. Thanans are said to be Bringers of Death and Protectors of Life. While this is true, they start out neither evil nor good, much like a human being, they are born pure and innocent. How they grow up depends on multiple factors. Overall, their personalities can be extremely diverse. Most thanans are good at heart and as beings made by Death, they are all natural-born fighters. They have a gift for destruction, which can be seen as unfortunate to their opponents. Those, who are evil, show common characteristics in the likeness of having an insatiable hunger for destruction, the enjoyment of taking life, and even psychotic behavior. They are incredible powerful and make perfect warriors.
From the perspective of the thanan people, when man began shortly in ancient times, Bael observed how peaceful their race was, how innocent they seem and the gifts they were given and so, he made a decision. The Embodiment of All Death decided to give birth to his very own race. Surprisingly, yet similarly at the same time, the thanan people began on Earth. Due to their appearances, it was without much difficulty to distinguish them from mankind. Speaking of whom, they have some much in common with them that upon the two races greeting each other, they slowly, but shortly began to coexist as time went on. This is what both creators of humans and thanans desired as thought by prophets and priests from both race. While similar to man in who they were, many have shown to take life seriously, like most people. A common trait among thanans is that they love life, but show a great interest in death.
Despite being on good terms with the human race, which they considered their "sibling" race, their relationships with other races vary depending on the a thanan's personality. Good-hearted and virutuous members of their people tend to look at certain races of molevolent beings with disdain and hatred while they see generally good races such as humans with care and respect. Those who are evil at their core seem to hold anger, hate, and disgust for races of peace-lovers, innocent individuals, and
