[Thread PL: 473,940 base. Thread is taking place on the Timeless Lookout, 50% Mansion bonus applies!]
The Pendulum Room, a mysterious chamber filled with clocks and runes. It's purpose is to take those who enter it into false realities for training. Atsuko had recently started using it for her own purposes, the Albino Saiyan trained tirelessly. With the single goal of catching up to her older brother, Nasu. But also to better defend Earth by becoming the strongest living warrior. There were other reasons she used it so extensively. These false realities allowed her to battle Saiyans... Without consequence, without judgement. They proved to be her greatest challenge, but even so they barely gave her a challenge.
Atsuko had opted to not use any of her Super Saiyan forms, it was her firm belief that training in the base form was far more effective, and she was right. Now it was the only way she could have an interesting fight while training. There was no way in hell the Knight would face down Nasu again, so this was her only option aside from training her students. She had to hold back for them in any case. But what was the reason she had gone right back into training right after saving Chris's life? Well, he lost the ability to use his Ki.
That meant that the Knights of the Round, the defenders of Earth had just lost another strong fighter. Potentially permanently, and Atsuko had to make up all the difference herself... Cambia was fitting in more with the Saiyans, Ayami had vanished to who knows where. Hisashi had the same fate. The only one she still had left was Hwa-Jae! "Damn it... If I were stronger...!", she'd shout as she flew into the fray. Most everyone would tell you that a single warrior fighting against an entire army was not a smart decision to make.
Saiyans were natural born fighters and planet conquerors however. And now? She wasn't holding back. The Saiyan was striking to cause as much pain as possible. To break bone, to usher in such damage that her enemies would faint from it. It was a ruthless combat style, and anyone that knew her on any level knew that it wasn't like her. "Damn Saiyans... Because of you, these things keep happening...!", her power would flare up again. This battle was becoming less of that, and more of a slaughter. A decidedly one sided slaughter in which the Knight was winning damn near effortlessly.
When one enemy couldn't fight anymore, the Saiyan would fly off like a rocket straight towards another, pummeling the poor bastard into submission before doing the same to another, and another. "It's time someone put you all in your place! I'm going to break each and every last one of you, like you've done countless times to other people!!", the Albino Saiyan continued shouting. The soldiers fighting her began to cower and back away. But the Knight wouldn't let up for even one second. She was chasing them down, and beating them quite literally into the dirt. "Cowards!!"
She roared. "Running away from a fight?! You don't deserve any mercy!", it was nothing short of a brutal defeat for the Saiyans. The Knight was left standing in the middle of the pile of newly formed destruction. Atsuko had zero problems about using the terrain, the surrounding structures as weapons against her enemies. Planet Vegeta was already a barren wasteland, but now it looked like a fresh war zone. "Is that all?! You're not warriors, you're pathetic little insects! You lost to a weak Earthling! None of you have the right to call yourselves warriors!!", she roared again. Her rage had hit a fever pitch.
"WHO ELSE IS GOING TO FACE ME?! I'M STILL HERE. ME! ATSUKO! ATSUKO INOUE, THE GUARDIAN OF EARTH!", she exclaimed again, that was when she noticed that there was a rather significant power still present. The Knight turned, ready to continue her fight only to notice that it was Komatsu. The Saiyan calmed down slightly, easing out of her fighting stance. "Why are you here?", she questioned him. After that, she looked down at the unconscious Saiyans dotting the landscape. Particularly one that was right at her feet. She proceeded to nudge the Saiyan slightly with her foot.
"...Let's get one thing straight. When I say 'the Saiyans are responsible', I've never meant you, Komatsu. I mean people like Nasu. I mean the people that follow Nasu... And I mean the Saiyans like these little shits.", she would waste little time in saying that, almost giving no time for Komatsu to respond. "Let's get another thing straight... As long as Nasu and those loyal to him lead the Saiyan Alliance, I'll have no place there. And no one here on Earth will accept them. It doesn't matter how hard you try to smooth things over."
The Albino Saiyan added. "Nasu is set in his ways, and I'll never forgive him for everything he's done to me.... And I know that I wouldn't be trusted among the Saiyans. To them, I'm just a weak Earthling. A disgrace getting a beating that she deserves. If I go there, I'll be a decorated wallflower at best... Imprisoned at worst. Don't bother telling me that wouldn't happen. Your government is never going to accept me. Maybe your people would, but they're powerless to do anything.", the Knight continued. There was just one more thing she intended to go over before allowing her little brother to speak.
"No one will speak up against Nasu, no one will act against him. Even if they do, they'll just be charged for treason. Do you think Miso, Karota or anyone else will just let it go unanswered? Despite all of that, I still don't hate you Komatsu! I never have! I can't be a Saiyan, but I can still be your sister! Isn't that enough?", she then questioned. Finally, the Knight fell silent. She said what she wanted to say, now Komatsu would no doubt have his own words to share about all of that.
Hell, there was still something he wanted to tell her, before all of this happened... They had the time to go over it all.

Koma would follow Atsuko silently as she stormed off and away from the room Chris had just woken up in. She was understandably upset, however if there was one thing he had learned about his sister was that she was blaming herself for what happened to Chris. There was really no way she could of prevented that from happening, it was a virus, a disease, it didn't matter how strong she was. He also knew she wouldn't accept that as an answer, which was frankly annoying.
He would just stay silent as he followed her into the pendulum room. At first it looked like a room just like all the others in this place, but it quickly shifted and changed into the familiar terrain of planet Vegeta. The planet he had spent 7 years of imprisonment on... the planet and people responsible for their parent's death and the source of the prejudice against them. Of all the places she could have made this room look like... she had to pick the one that would sting him the most... well, beyond going crazy on planet Natto like she was currently doing to the Empire saiyans.
As she beat their faces in one by one, Komatsu didn't react to the saiyan's loss. He held no love for the Empire, and honestly he wouldn't have minded joining in if he'd be able to track down the elite bastards that tortured him for so long. However, he would chose to sit down instead, closing his eyes and just feeling out the slaughter, feeling Atsuko's energy and the sheer rage she felt. It was so unlike her, but not unlike a saiyan to lash out in this manner.
Time seemed to drag on for hours in this room as Atsuko lashed out against the saiyans, blaming herself, and soon blaming them for 'everything'. She taunted them, broke them and humiliated them. She called out any that would dare challenge her, and that was the moment that Komatsu would finally open his eyes. Perhaps he should accept that offer and let his sister get things out of her system? He definitely couldn't beat her but he'd be a tougher punching back that these fake saiyans.
Before he could however she seemed to finally sense him and spin around to look at him. He looked right back up at her unflinching, remaining silent as she said what she needed to say. With every word she was sounding more like a saiyan than she realized... right now, there wasn't much of her human side that he could see.
"I'm like Nasu, I follow and I'm loyal to Nasu, and now I'm a leader of the Saiyan Alliance. No matter how hard you try to justify that 'I'm not one of them', the truth is that I am. You see someone who's so different than what you're used too, you assume I can't possibly be a part of 'them'. You don't know her yet, but Kyuri, our grandmother, won't fit the Nasu mold you've created for all of the Alliance Saiyans." Komatsu would respond calmly, still remaining seated on the ground, looking as if Atsuko might have disrupted a meditation for something. Considering the shaking and adrenaline from only moments ago, Komatsu was able to keep strangely calm. He was finally in his element, on a battlefield, and while that would stress most people out, it worked to calm him down.
"You act like I'm trying to drag you back to the Alliance... to take you away from Earth, but I'm not. I wouldn't want you to come to Planet Natto... because while we're related by blood, your family and your home is here. Don't worry, I understand that." He continued just as lightly, finally pushing himself up to feet in a rather lazy manner.
"I don't really think you understand what I'm trying to do by 'smoothing things over' I'm not trying to create some ultimate trust between our people, I'm not trying to take you away from Earth... Honestly, I don't care if Earth and the Alliance ever become allies. I've been trying to be as good a little brother as I could be considering the circumstances... and you really aren't making it easy for me to do that. I'm here to try and understand the Earthling way so that I can understand you better, and maybe fix a few things I've screwed up along the way. I'd like it if you were able to at least try and understand our way too." He would pause, looking around at the bloody scene of planet Vegeta, an idea finally crossing the young saiyans mind as he glanced back to Atsuko.
"How does this room work? Can I change the setting?" He would ask, fully planning on turning planet Vegeta into Planet Natto so that he could remotely show Atsuko just what their home was like, and that they weren't all like Nasu.
Komatsu would first respond by saying that he was like Nasu, and that he was a leader of the Saiyan Alliance now, but it went right over his head. The Knight would just sigh and shake her head. "Damn it, Komatsu. You said that you understood where I was coming from. You really don't, otherwise you wouldn't even try using that as an argument.", the Saiyan would reply to her little brother harshly. "As much as you try to rationalize that you are 'just like Nasu' and that you follow him, and that you're loyal to him... You've shown that you're not a blind dog."
The Knight would point out. "You alerted me ahead of time, everyone instead thought it would be better to wait until I had no time to react. Do you know how much worse the duel would have gone if that was the case? There wouldn't even be a case for us to talk anymore, Komatsu! I wouldn't tolerate the Saiyans in the slightest if they had done that.", the Albino Saiyan continued. "And as much as you want to say that you're like Nasu in any form, you're not. You're an exception to the Saiyans."
The Albino Saiyan then moved her arms out to her sides, gesturing to the planet around them. "Look around you. These bastards chained you up in this horrible planet and made you despise them. Not just see them as an enemy, but as monsters. Disgusting stains that deserved to be wiped clean from this life. You hold just as much hatred for 'True Saiyans' as I do. You'd never act like them. But Nasu? He does, he has just as much honor as any of these little bastards I've broken.", Atsuko spat out. "And again, maybe you're right. Maybe there is more to the Saiyan Alliance."
The Saiyan changed her direction slightly. "I'm going to guess that's likely, or you would have come back to Earth... But I've seen your military, I've seen your leading government. And I know that at the end of the day, you're a second in command. Knowing that your people aren't bad isn't going to help me, it's going to make things more difficult. Because I know sooner or later, Nasu is going to do something horrible and I'll have to confront him again. No matter how it ends, it means relationships between our planets will be strained further."
Atsuko continued her reasoning. The Knight sighed a little once more, though in a different fashion as Komatsu began to point out his intentions. "Look, I won't fault you for wanting to learn about the Earthlings... But I just don't have the same desires to learn about the Saiyans. I know enough about them to know that any Saiyan I do get along with will be the exception, not the rule. Just as you. Just as Cambia, just as Chris, and just as every other Saiyan that's not my enemy.", the Albino Saiyan would elaborate again.
An idea seemed to cross Komatsu's mind however, and he asked how the Pendulum Room worked, and if it were possible to change the setting. "It is, but this room is primarily used for training.... I won't presume to know what you want to do, or ask that you describe what you want to do, so if you want to change things...", the Saiyan would pause, closing her eyes and focusing for a moment. After that a terminal would appear. Something that stood out in the entire environment. The Knight would then simply motion towards it. "You can use that."
The Knight would then glance off into the distance. "I understand why you want me to learn more about the Saiyans, Komatsu... But I'm worried you're holding out for something that won't happen. Maybe I'll come to not hate some Saiyans, but the majority I just won't be able to forgive and forget. I'm not an idiot... There are differences in every race, I can see that even in the Earthlings. You seem to act like I have no idea about anything.", the Knight would confront her little brother on that front. Still, the very idea that he was passing himself off as exactly like Nasu...
"...You've never stabbed me in the back like Nasu has. You've shown me far more trust than most Saiyans I've encountered. I hope that continues. I know you don't like hearing what I have to say, but I'm honest with you because I trust you that much.... I just hope that you can come to trust me in the same light.", Atsuko added with a final sigh. With that, she'd cross her arms and fall silent as she watched the horizon. Whatever Komatsu was intending to do... She'd let him do it, in her mind, it wouldn't change anything.
Even if she came to see some Saiyans to not be her enemy, there were just too many that mattered in comparison for it to cause anything but more trouble. It would make her conflicted about acting against the Saiyans if they were doing something harmful. She was no fool about trying to change the Alliance, either. Short of defeating Nasu and taking the position of Overseer herself, that wasn't going to happen. There would be no one else to lead for as long as Nasu was alive, at that. All she could envision was that the Alliance would be led into ruin.
And any hope of peace between Earth and Natto would be lost as well... Despite it all, she was still here. Talking with Komatsu. Atsuko almost wanted to question why that didn't seem to be important to him, but she held her tongue on that... Instead... "Do you really think this is the best time anyway? The wounds are still fresh, what the Saiyans have done to me... I can't put it behind me because I just came back from Makai, and that was right after a long list of horrible things they had already done."

'If I'm the one who doesn't understand, there's a whole lot more to this picture that I can't see... I don't think I"m the one who isn't understanding... you're holding yourself on such a high pedestal your blind to whats going on around you...' Komatsu would think to himself, annoyance with his sister creeping into him once more. He was really tired of arguing with her, trying to make her see that the Alliance wasn't evil, that Earth wasn't all good either. He didn't expect outright peace between the two factions either, he just wanted his sister to admit that not all saiyans were bad, and that didn't make them he exceptions...
She tried her damnedest to reason with him, but he wouldn't have any of it. Even her reasoning had two sides to it, and he didn't really want to argue that point. When she brought up his hatred for 'true saiyans' though, Komatsu would just shake his head.
"I hate select few of the Empire Saiyans. The elites that chained me up and the half demon bitch that tortured me every day. Don't forget that one of my closest friends was the prince of that Empire. I had friends in that prison cell who were from the Empire who considered themselves true saiyans. I hold nothing against their people for what the few did to me. You're right though, that I would wipe their asses off the face of the galaxy if they weren't already dead thanks to Jarvis..." He admitted, taking in a deep breath as he tried hard not to think of the crap he had gone through in those prison cells. It still haunted him regularly, having only been out of there for a little over a year now...
To change his train of thought, Komatsu would walk over to the consol that had appeared out of no where when Atsuko summoned it up. Now more than ever even he wanted to be reminded of home, and so he started to decipher the machine and put in Planet Natto's co-ordinates. He hoped that this would help him get a positive answer out of Atsuko when it came to asking for that special time chamber of hers...
"Look... let's not argue about this for now alright? This isn't exactly what I wanted to talk to you about anyways. I get the situation that we're in, and i'm not trying to rush into anything." He stated as the environment around them began to fade away. Instead of the crimson skies of Vegeta, the skies turned blue with thick clouds blocking out the distant sun enough that it wasn't too hot. The blood stained wastelands turned to dirt and stone roads, new buildings would pop up where the old one's disappeared. Small houses at first, then larger ones and finally what looked like a large castle tower. Just behind the two siblings, a large circular arena sprouted from the ground. Saiyans soon started to appear here and there, looking almost identical to the one's that Atsuko had just crushed. The only physical difference to these saiyans was their clothing and the significant increase of obvious hybrids.
Some of the saiyans that appeared were milling about with their children, others dealing with merchants and others laughing away outside of a local bar. There were loud cheers from inside the arena following the sounds of energy beams and combat.
A small smile crept up on Komatsu's face as he instantly felt like he had been transported back home, so glad that this room was able to simulate the environment of planet Natto. He felt like he could even breath the same air as his home planet... the planet that resembled Earth in so many ways. Finally, he would hide his smile before turning to face Atsuko once more.
"Before you jump to conclusions, this isn't me trying to get you to understand the saiyans. It has to do with what I wanted to talk to you about... I just thought it might help to sort of see what my home was like before I asked you for anything..." He sounded a little bit hesitant now... while he knew this wasn't real, he hoped she wouldn't just fly off the handle and start attacking the saiyans here, or refuse to hear him out because he had transported them here...
Everything that Atsuko said had seemingly rendered her little brother silent, she would have thought that she finally got through to him if not for the fact that he still had such a determined look on his face. Even so, it was getting difficult for her to even glance in his direction. Maybe she was being too harsh on him... But her words were true, knowing that Saiyans weren't 'all bad' wasn't going to change anything. In similar fashion, she didn't care what others thought of the Earthlings or their home. She only cared when they tried to destroy it, or endangered either with their presence.
Finally he would shake his head and point out that he only hated a select few of the Empire Saiyans. Then he pointed out one of his closest friends was the Prince of the Empire... The Knight lowers her arms to her sides, and her hands tighten into fists on reflex. Her power surges at the very mention of Athren. "The fact that you still consider yourself friends with him...", the Saiyan's tone of voice was harsh in that regard, but she managed to keep herself from saying anymore on that front. Still, it was clear she wasn't happy about that.
Not in the slightest. "Come off it. The Saiyans are a warrior race, doubly so for the Empire Saiyans. You think I haven't done my homework? There are countless books at my disposal within the archive available here on the Timeless Lookout. They all mention that little fact about the Saiyans. The only ones living in peace are the outcasts, they're seen as weak. And the weak are useless. They're sent offworld in hopes that they die or they become stronger... Those who fail in either are lucky to keep their lives. Either way, they become a work force for factories and other such tasks."
The Saiyan would point out a fair bit of knowledge she had about the Saiyans. "I'll admit that any information I have on the Saiyan Alliance is scarce. But I know exactly what your government is like. Even if some of them aren't that bad, I know that enough people are in the leading power to make it matter very little. I'll say it again, any examples of something different are the exception, not the rule.... Hell, maybe there was a point where it wasn't like that.", the Knight finally admitted.
Her gaze lowered to the ground. "...Mother and Father would lead the Alliance differently, I'm sure of that. I think on some level they would disapprove of Nasu's actions, too. But they aren't here anymore.", with that, she'd turn towards Komatsu and stare him in the eyes. "I see nothing redeeming in the Saiyan Alliance as a government. I won't punish it's people; but your soldiers, your officers and generals, and even your Overseer... They cause problems not just for Earth, but with the Earthlings. Even you can't deny that.", she finished her assessment on that subject.
Finally, Komatsu suggested that they didn't argue about this for now, he supposedly understood the situation and he wouldn't try to rush things. Atsuko would just shake her head lightly and give a small sigh. "Right... I'm just not doing well right now, Komatsu. I'm trying to keep an entire planet from falling apart at the seams. I haven't been able to train my students well, and when the time matters most, I can't save them. Whether it's because I can't reach them, or I'm powerless to do anything to change it. It's right back to me being the last line of defense..."
The Albino Saiyan would once more lower her gaze to the ground again. "...And I failed at that, too. I couldn't land a single hit on Nasu. Except for the one blow that he wanted me to land... Do you understand what that means? If he had the mind to do it, he could have killed me then and there. Set aside that it's Nasu for a moment. Do you understand what truly means? For a Guardian to fall in that manner? In the end, he left me broken and stranded in another dimension... It's all told me that I need to do more."
The Albino Saiyan continued. "I need to train more, I need to be ready, and I need to prove that I'm not a 'Weak Earthling'. At the same time, I have no interest in being a 'Strong Saiyan'. Maybe the concept doesn't make sense to you, but I'd rather be a 'Strong Earthling'. Until you can understand that, I don't think we're ever going to see eye to eye on this, Komatsu.", she explained. About then, the environment would begin to shift. Reality practically bending around them, and then... She was standing on a planet strongly resembling Earth.
There were enough differences for her to tell it wasn't the same planet. Then of course, there was the people living here. Saiyans, a strong majority. Some mixed bloods, and... It didn't seem that they were any other pure races. If there were, they went unnoticed by the Knight. Komatsu sounded a little hesitant as he pointed out that he wasn't trying to get her to understand the Saiyans. It had something to do with what he wanted to ask. The Knight merely closed her eyes, and she relaxed her hands. She'd move her arms behind her back.
An at ease stance as she finally opened her eyes and faced Komatsu once more. "...Go on, then. What is it that you wanted to talk to me about?", the Albino Saiyan stated. As much as she hated the very sight of the Saiyans, she knew that these were different from what she was just fighting. She wanted to prove that she knew that to Komatsu. Atsuko wouldn't be throwing any punches unless aggravated to do so... Knowing the Saiyans, she didn't expect that to take very long at all, but she held her tongue on any of that for now.
Komatsu wanted to put that to the side and discuss something else, this was his chance.
Post by King of All on Aug 4, 2016 15:05:56 GMT -5
Komatsu couldn't help but grit his teeth, a look of aggravatin crossing his features as Atsuko spoke. He was glad that his back had been turned to her just then... while she could most likely easily read his body language, she at least couldn't see how angry he was getting by her words.
She was basing what she knew about the saiyans on some dusty old books in an archive? Combine that with Nasu and no shit she hated the saiyans! He had no illusions in his mind that all of those old books spoke about the Empire saiyans... and yep, just as Atsuko mentioned what she knew, it wa all about those from planet Vegeta. The Alliance didn't send off those they considered weak, they didn't slaughter them. They raised them up, helped them improve or find something that make them happy in life. The Alliance wasn't the biggest faction in the universe, but hell they cared for each other like family... the entire reason their parents left the Empire was because of those very atrocities she mentioned!
His tail made a whipping motion behind him, further showing his annoyance. His hands would ball into fists over the machine as if he was ready to break it, but taking in a deep breath, Komatsu was able to start to calm himself down. He didn't care what she thought, didn't cahow much she hated Nasu... but this racist, judgmental bull crap was going to have to stop. He'd give her time to settle, because if he said anything now he'd explode on her... but she had to stop being so self centered eventually...
She kept talking like the Alliance was going to bring about Earth's total destruction... well he knew that wasn't going to happen, there was no reason for it too unless the Earthling decided to attack planet Natto, or the delegation left behind on Earth... No, the saiyans no longer had a hand in Earthling affairs... On and on she went, and it only served to further make the young saiyan's blood boil.
Deep breath in, deep breath out...
'relax... do not let this bother you, don't let this change anything... just shut up and take it...' He had to mentally scold himself on how to act before he had turned around to face her, starting to tell her as to the reason he had changed the environment to his home.
In the distance of this new environment, you could make out an altercation taking place between a female saiyan, heyoung child and a male that stumbled into them from the bar. You couldn't really tell what was going on, but there was a clear argument happening between them which led to the beginning of a fight. The woman got hit before she could do anything about it, crashing against one of the buildings. Before she could even retaliate however, two random saiyans came soaring down from the sky, one to step between the man and woman, and the other to subdue the man before he could cause any more damage. While the scene could have shown just how bad saiyan nature truly was, it also showed their compassion for one another.
Meanwhile, Komatsu took in another deep breath before he was asked just what it was he wanted to talk about.
"These are the Alliance Saiyans, and as you can see just by looking at them, they are very different then what you would expect them to be. They are my people, and by extension my family. Just like you do for Earth, I would do anything to protect each and every one of them... and that's what I'm trying to do now. Jarvis... he's threatening the Alliance, threatening to wipe it out through a war I don't think we can handle right now. I managed to convince him to instead duel against me. If I manage to win, then he'll be bound to leave the Alliance alone for a hundred years... but I'm not strong enough to beat him on my own. Not yet. I know there's another level of Super Saiyan that I haven't been able to touch yet, I can feel it... but I need time I might not have to unlock it to stand a chance against him.
I'm not asking for your interference on the matter... This deal and fight isn't going to affect Earth at all... but I need your help. I heard that you have a special chamber here where time goes by faster... I like it's a year in the chamber for a day out here? I was hoping you'd let me use that chamber, along with another saiyan that I trust to use this in preparation..." Komatsu asked seriously. The anger from moment's ago hadn't dissipated, making it much easier for him to tweak his story a little bit without looking like he was lying at all. He looked completely serious and honest in everything that he was saying.
The sounds of a fight off in the distance were not lost on Atsuko, even more than that she could sense the power flaring up from it. It wasn't anyone particularly strong, but it was a fight right in the middle of the city and what's more, it was of course a Saiyan taking a cheap shot. The Knight growled lowly and raised a hand, already a ball of Ki was forming, but then two Saiyans intervened before either the man or the woman could continue their fight. Then a third appeared and safely subdued the man before he could do anything else.
The Albino Saiyan merely scoffed and dispersed the energy in the palm of her hand, her body and stance relaxing as she listened to Komatsu's words.... Although, it was not lost on her that now every Saiyan within the city was backing away from her. There was no denying that she had a power that was likely unreal to all of them even while in her base form. It only made sense that they didn't want to aggravate her further. She already didn't look to be in the best of moods. As she turned her gaze away from the subdued man...
"Smart.", was all the Albino Saiyan would say on the subject. She let Komatsu say everything that she wanted to say, and she would address it in order on her end. "Komatsu... It's as I said, I understand there are differences between the Alliance and the Empire. But look around you, these are civilians. All they do is get caught up in the mess, or worse, some of them become soldiers to fight in the wars. They don't become leaders either, with the exception of a certain few.", the Knight spoke, this time in a calmer tone of voice.
"Knowing that they're not bad.... And yes, I can't say that they are, even as much as I want to... It doesn't change how I feel about the Saiyan Alliance. Do you understand? My concern is always on Nasu and those loyal to him because they're the ones leading the Alliance.", she elaborated, and then sighed. "It's... Look, I already got attacked by Nasu and left in Makai. In my mind, it's hard to believe 'it won't happen again', or 'things will never get that bad'... It already got there once. Once is all it takes, Komatsu."
The Albino Saiyan continued reasoning with him. This time, she was trying to discard her hatred of the Saiyans just to make her point stronger... Maybe he wouldn't care. Maybe he'd just say that she was wrong again. But she had to try, he was making his best case, and it was time to make her own. "Are you telling me that if Nasu decided to do something utterly horrible... That any of the people you're here to protect would do something about it? What qualifies as 'horrible' to them? Destruction of a planet? Genocide of a race? Slavery of others?"
She asked, they were legitimate factors. "Nasu went out of control. He can easily do it again, maybe it won't be Earth that would be in his crosshairs, or maybe it would. Are you telling me that if he was doing something that reprehensible, not only would you stand against him, but enough in the Saiyan Alliance would do so as well to give him pause? Answer me honestly.", she stated, staring him dead in the eyes and waiting for his response. She trusted him, and Komatsu had his chance to prove that she was right to trust him.
Unbeknownst to her, she was already being told a lie when he had asked to use the Time Chamber, as well as the reasons as to why. She had no way of knowing. The Albino Saiyan just fell silent as she thought it over. "...I need your word that you're telling me the entire truth, Komatsu. That there's nothing you're not telling me, and that I'm right to trust you. Because you're asking Earth to be involved when you ask for permission to use the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.", the Knight stated. A part of her didn't really believe that Nasu was just... Not aware of any of this.
"...And I want to know what Nasu is going to do. I don't buy that he hasn't been told anything. But if you can look me straight in the eyes and swear to me that he doesn't know, or that he's not doing anything...", the Saiyan paused for a moment. She closed her eyes as she thought over what to say next... Atsuko was placing all of her trust in Komatsu right now. She didn't want to be disappointed by doing that. For once, she was hoping that he was right, that there was something redeeming about the Saiyans.
"...Then I'll believe you.", she added as she opened her eyes once more. As with before, she was focused on his eyes. If there was even the slight possibility that he was lying, she wanted to know it.... And as underhanded as it might have been, the Knight would also establish a subtle telepathic connection; or she'd try to, in any case. Not transmitting her thoughts to him, but rather to hear what he might be thinking. If confronted on the matter, she would be honest with him. But she needed certainty that he wasn't lying.
That he meant every single word he was saying to her. The Knight didn't want to afford any more risks, if he really cared for her as much as he says... Then he'd be able to understand that. Atsuko just had to convince herself that was the case. But now, it was just time to move forward. Komatsu would decide how all of this would play out from this moment on, and even with her prejudice against Saiyans... She was hoping that he'd make the right choice. The Albino Saiyan had so many reasons to doubt the people of her true race...
Too many to list. But here she was, hoping again. Giving them another chance.

Komatsu would tense up as Atsuko formed a ball of ki, ready to take out the man that had struck the female who's child, barely more than 5, was staring at the man angrily and even growling. Though as he was subdued, the child would back off to check on it's mother. It was a scene that Komatsu was all too familiar with... honestly there were still those that found it hard to break away from the ways of the Empire, or those too drunk to care. It was nice to know that others would always step in and defend their own however... although Atsuko seemed to miss that, and claimed that they were just civilians, just like the civilians on Earth. To that, Komatsu couldn't help but smile.
"Actually, the woman over there is Corporal Maya. She's dressed as a civilian because she's off on maternity leave. Well, at least she was at this point in time. The two that stepped in are the civilians." He would clarify as if that mattered at all. Maybe it didn't to her, but Komatsu found solace in that fact... Here were two saiyans with no obligation protecting a member of the military who would normally be the one protecting them.
"You keep saying 'with the exception of a certain few'... well that doesn't really work. Not everyone can be leaders, not everyone wants to be. There's no single rule just like there's no single exception. Honestly I don't think I can understand where you're coming from on this one." He admitted, though his smile crept back up when Atsuko admitted to them not being bad. Honestly, that was what he wanted to hear. It wouldn't change her view on the Alliance, and that was completely fine. That wasn't what he was trying to do at all. He wanted her to understand that not all saiyans were as evil as she thought, even if they belonged to the military. They were people just like any other and didn't deserve her prejudice.
"Honestly, that's all I wanted to hear on that subject Kimiko. That not all of 'them' are bad. They're people with their own thoughts and actions, and not all of them are the monsters you've been saying they are. I'm not about to make excuses for Nasu, I've told you that already. He was wrong, and we know he was wrong. We did what we could in a situation that could have been much worse. Honestly, Kimiko if he had truly tried to kill you, and the Demon Queen not interfered I was fully ready to jump in front of his Spirit Ball for you. None of us want you to die... the situation just got ridiculously out of hand..." He would say, his voice and smile lowering. He would instinctively bring a hand up to rub the scar on his shoulder as if the pain from having it torn off was creeping up on him once more. He really wished she would just understand that they really did their best in a situation they could do next to nothing about... she was the only one strong enough to face Nasu... even if she couldn't land a hit... They would have just been wiped out in a single blow... hell Nasu put Karota and Miso in the hospital with that power.
The topic was brought back to his duel with Jarvis however and a sigh escaped his lips. He would take off the glove from his right hand and bring it up so that Atsuko would see it clearly. The mark on his arm was nothing like the mark that Nasu had wore when he had come after her. Instead it looked like some form of tribal tattoo that spiraled up to his fingertips.
"Earth won't be involved, you have my word on that. Win or lose, he wont go anywhere near Earth. Everything I'm saying is the truth.. I'm asking for your help so there's no reason I'd lie. This mark... from what I understand of it, it doesn't have the same magical properties as what affected Nasu. It's more like... well it's there to make sure that we each uphold our end of the deal in whatever outcome happens. If i win, Jarvis will leave the Alliance alone for a hundred years, and by having a presence on Earth that means Earth too. If he wins then... well... he get's me. Before you say anything I know that's stupid but I don't want my people to die in a war they aren't ready for. Even Jarvis' people! They shouldn't be involved in this... they're all just ex slaves who probably don't even know any better. I want to avoid as much bloodshed as I can... and he'd never accept to have this duel with you or Nasu because he thinks he can beat me." Komatsu would explain, his heart wrenching nervously as he spoke. Nasu had really made it clear how stupid his idea was... but frankly Koma was tired of living in his shadow, tired of living in Atsuko's. Damn it he was jsut as strong as they were wasn't he? He could contend with a Super Saiyan 3 under the right circumstances! So why shouldn't he put his own life on the line to protect his own? Why rely on them to fight a battle he's been craving for a year!
'I won't let him win... no matter what he can't win...' Komatsu would bite his lower lip lightly, not knowing that Atsuko was in his head as he was so unused to Telepathy in any sense. It was why he contacted them that way so little. His mind however was focused on the day that Jarvis came to the outpost, threatening him and having everyone there subdued under a rain of gold. He'd been so focused on ensuring their safety, and the safety of his people to care much of the outcome of this deal... plus he had the mind of a woman at that point.
"As for Nasu, I've already spoke to him about this and trust me he's not too happy with me right now. Besides that, the Alliance is under very real threat of war so he has no choice but to get out forces ready for that. Grandma's got spy drones that are going to be following me during this duel, so at the first sign that I lose, our military is moving into action. We're not about to let him have the advantage over us." Komatsu explained without going into too much detail on the situation. All that was going through his mind was the verbal thrashing Nasu gave him when he told him about the duel. He wasn't thikning too much on the outcome of their chat as fighting Jarvis was his only real concern.
The Saiyan lightly shook her head as Komatsu clarified that the woman was actually a soldier on maternity leave; but her point seems to have been entirely missed. The problem was precisely in that the majority could not become the leaders, the ones to stand above others. People like her, and like all of the civilians had little choice but to go with the flow. What were they going to do? Endanger their lives for people they've never even met before and have no reason to care about? If the leader decides 'they're the enemy', Soldiers don't have any reason to question it.
Nasu was the worst person to handle any decision making like that, and in one fell swoop the older brother was able to prove that he would answer to no one if he felt strong enough about something. "You don't understand the point I was making... I have nothing else to say.", the Knight would then respond. Komatsu refused to see reason on it, she couldn't force him, and she had gotten tired of trying. Maybe it was just time to accept that she really wouldn't fit in with the Saiyan Alliance, or her 'true family'. She felt oddly at peace with that thought.
Trying to live a life on both sides was going to kill her. It was a decision of one or the other, to become a Saiyan meant that she would abandon more than a few of her ideals, and her entire home. It also meant that she'd lose most of her friends at that. What was there to gain by becoming a member of the Saiyan Alliance? ...Nothing. That left the clear choice of being an Earthling. That's what she would choose. Komatsu didn't need to hear it, he didn't want to hear it.
Maybe he didn't care as much about her as he'd always been saying. Finally Komatsu would point out that was all he wanted to hear, that they weren't 'all bad' like she'd been saying... But... "I never said they were all bad, just that I despise 'True Saiyans'. I can't stand them.", she clarified. Her responses were kept brief, this... It wasn't a pleasant conversation anymore. Her little brother didn't understand her as well as he assumed that he did. "...You weren't there to defend me, Komatsu. If he had decided to kill me, that would have been it."
The Saiyan stated harshly. "I understand you were fighting Jarvis. I'm not blaming you for your inability to be there. But I'm pointing out a truth. Nasu had his chance to kill me, and if the Demon Queen had even half the mind to do it, I would be dead right now. It wouldn't be just his fault, it would be the fault of the Saiyans as well. You're defending that. You're saying that was doing 'everything they possibly could'!", her voice would turn to a shout at that point. "Yeah... I was 'weak'. I was a disgrace. And they saw nothing wrong in putting me under."
The Knight growled. "Not one of them lifted a damn finger to help me, even when I had decided to try and save you and my student. Even when the Demon Queen opened a portal right in front of all of them to steal me away... Not even when Nasu had zero hesitation in striking me despite that.", she spat out. Once more, she glanced around to the people in the city. "You think any of this eases that fucking pain?! You think that takes away from what could have gone so wrong?!"
The Saiyan glared at Komatsu. "Maybe you had the intention of saving me. But the rest of them were out to save their own lives. I was a convenient scapegoat. If I fought their battle and won, 'perfect!'. If I didn't and I died, then they could say 'we gave it our best shot, at least Nasu isn't mad at us.'", the Knight added. "We have nothing else to discuss about the Saiyans.", she ended the topic with a final growl. The definitive glowing golden hair, soul piercing teal eyes and sharp rise in power showed just how much she didn't want to hear anything else on the matter.
By now, all of the bystanders were backing away from her out of fear. That is, if they weren't totally oblivious to the presence of Atsuko and Komatsu. It was about then that her little brother finally explained the reasoning why he needed the Time Chamber for the duel against Jarvis. If he won, that meant the Caesar would have to leave the Alliance alone for a hundred years. Defeat would mean that he becomes Jarvis's servant on the other hand. Then the talk of spy drones, militaries moving into action at the sign of defeat.
The Albino Saiyan let out a sigh after hearing it all. "Damn it... Agreeing to such a duel was a risky move. But I can't fault your line of reasoning for it.", the Saiyan stated. However she didn't buy for a second that Nasu was 'only' going to prepare soldiers and move after the fact. Jarvis was a man of his word, she couldn't say the same for the Saiyans. "I want this to be clear. If the Saiyans violate the terms of the duel, I will have no further involvement with any of you."
Atsuko stated coldly. "And I will find out if they do. So I'll stress once more that if there's something you're not telling me, you need to come clean now.", the Albino Saiyan added. "This is not the time to mess around. If you really do care for me, you'll assure me of this, Komatsu... You'll need to if you want to use the Hyperbolic Time Chamber anyway.", with that, she fell silent. She was still glaring at him, it just all felt... Empty. Atsuko was coming to grips with the fact that she would never be a Saiyan, and she was fine with that.
Now it was getting that through their heads. She would neither be a Saiyan or a 'pathetic weak Earthling'.

He definitely didn't understand her point... that or he refused to believe in her point. She really couldn't see the good... she couldn't see beyond friggen Nasu, beyond the actions that only took place because of that damned mark!
As Atsuko continued to speak of the duel with NAsu, Komatsu clenched his fist as he brought them down to his sides. She gre more and more angry as she spoke about the saiyans, about how she felt betrayed by them, by Nasu when it wasn't as if they were friends in the first place. She refused to see both sides of the story, or to acknowledge the fact that things only got so out of hand because of that mark and the damned Demon Queen in the first place!
The anger that he had worked so hard to subdue came crawling back up to the surface again, especially as Atsuko's own power began to rise in response to her own feelings. He couldn't help but raise his own power in response. His own dark hair would flare into a golden hue, eyes that would normally turn teal however, began to go gold...
"You're wrong! Damn it you are so wrong! Every time we talk you bring this up! I get it! I get that you're angry but really? You have to keep making me feel like shit for not being strong enough? You don't fault me, but I should of done something right? I should have stopped him before we even left!? Well I couldn't! I didn't have the strength then, and I don't have the strength now! God damn it!" Komatsu couldn't help but shout at this point, even as the topic moved back to his deal with Jarvis. She seemed a lot more understanding than Nasu had been when he spoke to his brother, and while he appreciated that, he could easily tell she didn't believe in his power... why else would she be drilling him so hard for the truth.
Komatsu grit his teeth, shutting his eyes for a moment as his clenched knuckles began to go white with how hard he was trying to hold himself back. Hell, there were even small tears forming in his eyes that he just couldn't hold back anymore.
"Yeah, it was risky, but you know what, I;m sick of you being the hero, of Nasu being the strongest... everyone puts the two of you on a fucking pedestal and laughs at me when I try to do anything remotely important. Know why Jarvis singled me out for this? Because he knows he can beat me. Because my power and my life is just a joke to him! Know why Nasu gave me such a hard time? Because he doesn't believe I can fucking do it, and I know you don't think I can either! He'd rather fight my battles for me! And that's just what he's doing!! Yeah, we'll be violating the terms of the duel because we don't have a choice! He's going to wipe us out, it's the best militaristic move to make sure the Alliance survives! Jarvis is pure evil, and you know that! If we don't take action and I lose... Neither you or Nasu are going to be able to do anything against him because he's going to use me as a god damn shield against you. He's going to make me attack the Alliance and Earth! I don't doubt that for one second!
So please, Kimiko! Let us deal with things that concern the Alliance and help me by letting me use that chamber! I'm so god damned sick of being the disappointment, the one that fails... support me in doing this." He pleaded with her, his now golden eyes watering from the sheer frustration of everything. He felt completely useless and scared of this whole thing... he wanted to be strong, to stay collected and be the pillar both of his siblings could lean on, but it was tearing him apart...

It happened. Komatsu's power started to rise, and then the very first thing he said was 'you're wrong'. In response to that, the Albino Saiyan yelled with all of her might as her power began to sharply increase once more. Lightning began to surge around her as she powered up, her hair increased slightly in length, but it didn't stop there. She was going even further, it was a step that she had already taken before, but now she was doing it again. Calling out all of the power in every last drop of her blood. Her hair began to rapidly increase in length.
The binding which tied her hair broke free, and her hair dropped out to it's full length, which now covered most of her back. Her eyebrows thinned slightly. The mastery over her energy, and her repeated attempts at mastering the third form were coming to light once and for all. She was drawing out the full power of the Super Saiyan Three form. Finally her shouting stopped and then she just fell silent, listening to the rest of what Komatsu had to say... Though her first response would then be... "No, you couldn't have done anything. There's nothing wrong with that."
The Knight pointed out. "I'm saying that the Saiyans you put so much stock in readily abandoned me. They allowed a duel to play out instead of banding with me to stop Nasu! Or even just stopping his final attack when it was clear I had no choice but to enter a new dimension! They could have done any number of things, Komatsu! They chose the easiest... Letting me die so they could keep their lives. I'm glad you can see the good in them; I can't. And if I had the chance, I would choke the life out of them right now."
The Albino Saiyan stated. "I would take immense pleasure in their struggles, I'd do it with a goddamn smile on my face. When they ask 'why', I'll just tell them that's exactly what they did to me. So you know what? You're fucking lucky that I don't count you among them. You don't want to be among them, Komatsu. And you sure as hell shouldn't defend them for any of that! I don't expect the impossible out of you, Komatsu! I just want you not to say they're good people when they fucked me over!"
She shouted at him. "Do you know how much it hurts to hear that out of my little brother?! I guarantee it's just as bad as when I say something bad about the Saiyans! But you know what?! I have every goddamn reason to be upset and you need to respect that! If you don't like what I have to say, maybe you should wait at least a month after I've gotten back from Makai before dropping all this shit on my plate! OKAY?! That's all I want! Just for you to understand that it fucking hurts!"
She added. "And that it's going to hurt for awhile!", she elaborated once more. Finally her rage would begin to settle, however. That was when she could see Komatsu and how he was nearly breaking down... It was enough to give her pause. But she didn't move yet, she didn't want to give the wrong implications. He finally began to speak once more, agreeing that it was a risky move, but that he had several reasons to do it... He was also tired of being in everyone's shadow all the time. The Knight would quietly sigh in response to that.
"Damn it... So that's what he's really going to do during all of this, huh? ....I can't deny what you said about Jarvis. I want it to be clear, I still don't agree with this. Violating the terms of a duel in this fashion... It's underhanded and dishonorable on every level. And after how well the duel I had with Nasu went... It just rubs salt in the wound.", Atsuko would finally start to reply to her little brother. She'd take a deep breath. "...You've involved Earth whether you want to believe that or not. You're my brother, and you're here asking for my help."
The Knight would add, her tone of voice becoming calmer and softer. Now she'd finally start to approach him. "Despite it all, I intend to help you... Thank you for being honest with me, Komatsu. I just want to ask one favor of you. Ask Nasu not to violate the terms of the duel.", the Albino Saiyan made her request. "Komatsu, you have to understand... Nasu and his soldiers won't keep bloodshed to a minimum. They're going to strike fast, and they're going to strike to kill. They will be lucky to have a planet left."
She explained, now gently placing her hands on his shoulders. "And in either case... Jarvis is going to know as soon as it happens. This plan is going to place your life at risk, and I'm not saying that because I don't have faith in you... I'm saying that because I don't want my little brother to die... And if you win the duel, that means you're taking away any security in the terms Jarvis set. He won't let it rest for a hundred years, he'll bite back fierce. You have a cold war, and you're adding fire into the mix."
With that, she'd then pull Komatsu into a hug. "We'll train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber... I was the last one to beat Jarvis. I know how he fights, and I can assure you it's not like a Saiyan. You'll need to know how to deal with an opponent that's stronger than you are, and more importantly how to fight someone that's not at all like a Saiyan.", the Knight explained. Finally easing up on the hug a little if she had been allowed to get that far. "I can help you access higher forms of Super Saiyan, too."
Atsuko added. She firmly believed that she was the best pick to help him train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, for a variety of reasons.

Koma's golden eyes seemed to burn with an intense anger, all while the tears would finally fall from them. He was trying to give her time, he really was, but every time the two spoke the topic of Nasu came up and Koma couldn't help but defend his brother and the decision to back him up... to an extent. He didn't want anyone to think ill of his brother for his actions because they weren't entirely his own... while he did call for that duel, the murderous intent wasn't his own... Even his final strike against Atsuko, there had to be a reason behind it. It wasn't as is Nasu handed her over to the Demon Queen, she had plotted that out... waited for the right moment to strike and then made them look even worse...
As Atsuko yelled right back at him, still raising her power further, Komatsu would push himself into his own Super Saiyan two state. His rage so intense that the arcs of lightning that formed around his body would burn away at the ground underneath his feet. The only indication that Komatsu was trying to push himself beyond that state, were his golden eyes and the fact that his tail would flicker between brown and gold. His power would rise and fall above what would be considered his maximum, as if something was trying to break free from him.
"If it hurts so god damned bad then stop talking to ME of all people about it! I'm going to keep defending them at every turn! You're going to get hurt by my words and you're driving me god damn insane over all of this! Both of you are!" He cried out towards her. As his power level piqued, he sensed a third immense power level approaching in this simulated world, and it was all too familiar. Naturally, Nasu would show up if a scene like this were actually playing out on the planet, so it only made sense for him to approach even in this fake world.
Frustrated, Komatsu charged up a blue orb of Ki in his hand, the Spirit Cannon. Instead of firing it off towards Atsuko though, he fired it off towards the location the console had been moments ago, aiming to fry it and shut down this fake world before he showed up and things really got out of hand. He'd figure out how to fix it later, or have Kyuri have a look at it.
Komatsu took in a sharp breath as he tried to not just completely fall apart in front of sister, but she made it that much more difficult as she suddenly closed the gap between them. There was no stopping his tears now! They would double and flow freely down his face as she began to speak to him in a much calmer tone.
"We have to strike... Even if I beat Jarvis, the Empire will still stand and they'll still come after us. You said yourself the Demon Queen wants the genocide of the saiyan race... It's not just Jarvis behind the Empire... She'll step up and we'll have the same situation all over again. I"ll talk to Nasu again, but the best he'll agree too is sparring civilians... or his outer worlds. This might be dishonorable but it's war..." He choked out, looking at her with those anger and hurt filled eyes.
'...You've involved Earth whether you want to believe that or not. You're my brother.' ' If anything bad happens to you because of that bastard, it affects the whole Alliance'
The young saiyan nearly choked on his own thoughts as he was only reminded of everything that was now on his shoulders... what this fight against Jarvis truly meant. Even if he managed to kill Jarvis, he would just come back again and again, and he would go for the Alliance and Earth in his attempts for revenge. They had to make sure he couldn't do anything about it. They had to take away his Empire and really leave him powerless...
"I'll talk to him, but I can't guarantee anything... and Jarvis has no choice but to abide by our deal even if I win, this mark binds us to it. If I'm the one who ends up losing... he wont kill me, he wants me alive so killing me would be stupid of him. Even if he did, I"ll know I died protecting my people and my family, so it's not all that bad." He would say, though at that point he had started to tremble, his words clearly betraying how he felt... not that the tears weren't already doing that for him. Though at this point, Atsuko brought him into a hug to which Komatsu would tense up.
She accepted to let him use the hyperbolic time chamber, however she implied that she would be going in with him. To that Komatsu would shake her head, pushing against her to pull out of the hug.
"I can't take you in there with me, we'll probably try to tear each others throats out anyways... and Nasu would be pretty damned upset with me if I did. Let me take someone else with me, one of our Councillors, Jie Shan... you haven't met him yet and... as much as I treat him like a bad person he's probably the nicest one of us. He's closer to my skill level and I've looked to him as a rival. I think that would make him a better training partner. You're right that I'll need to train with someone stronger than me... but I want to do that after I get out of the chamber... I want to test everything I've learned and mastered in there. I've also seen you and NAsu transform into Super Saiyan 3 multiple times... I know I can unlock it too..." He hoped she would at least understand this... honestly Komatsu wasn't sure he could deal with living with her for a year in this chamber. She was already driving him insane...
Naturally, Komatsu powered up to match Atsuko rising even further, although his power didn't quite match up with her own, it was still impressive. There was something odd about it, however. Like his state wasn't entirely natural. Atsuko couldn't put her finger on it, and she'd never experienced the phenomenon before. The Albino Saiyan remained quiet about it, if only because his next words had ended up cutting deeper than he realized. He was going to keep defending them... Even after all the horrible things they had done to her? It ended up striking her with such severity that she almost didn't process what the power she was sensing afterwards.
But then it hit her. That was Nasu! Or... A fake version of him, in any case. He was coming here fast to investigate, the Knight immediately tensed up, ready to fight him. In here, she wouldn't have to hold back. She could break him down without mercy, it still wouldn't be as good as the real thing, but...! All of that was interrupted as Komatsu simply charged an attack and shot the terminal that kept the simulation running and just like that, it froze. Her little brother began to speak once more, pointing out Nakiya in this entire mess.
The Demon Queen... Right... She still had the plans to perform genocide of the entire Saiyan race... Something that... That she still couldn't see fault in, not entirely. But she couldn't find the words, even as Komatsu stared at her, almost as if expecting something out of her. It had finally driven her to the point where she just didn't know what to say anymore. Her little brother had ended up saying that he would try talking to Nasu, but he didn't guarantee anything. He even went so far as to say he wouldn't regret the death.
When Komatsu ended up pushing her so that he could pull out of the hug, Atsuko cooperated with it. Upon his next words she just gave a weak nod. "I...", she started, then just freezing up for a moment as she was still trying to process that. He... Actually went and said that, even after everything she had gone through. After how much she opened herself up to him, and even though he couldn't deny anything that she was saying. The Knight just slowly stood back up straight, remaining unusually silent considering what she began to say.
The expression on her face said most of it. She just glanced away from him, it hurt too much to look at him now. "Nasu again... I get it. He wouldn't like me being stronger than him.", she replied. Her tone of voice implied that she just wasn't into any of this anymore, however. "I would prefer it if you trained with someone that wasn't from the Saiyan Alliance. But I know you don't care.", the Albino Saiyan added. With that, she turned away from him. "...Do as you like. I'll be here on Earth, as always."
She said with a tone of voice that sounded as if she had been wounded. Far more than she had been in awhile, at that. She was still trying to process how he thought that was alright to do. That he could see no wrong in defending that... He kept going on and on about understanding how she felt, but he really didn't... Did he? This was the proof of that. Atsuko just lowered her gaze to the ground once more as she tried to make sense of it all. Despite how much she questioned it, no answers came.
It infuriated her. He always trusted Nasu more, he looked up to Nasu all the bloody time, and he cared so much more for the Saiyans than even about how she felt... There was no excusing how heartless that sounded, either. The Albino Saiyan began to power down, she wasn't interested in fighting. She wasn't interested in continuing their shouting match. She just... Wanted to lie down for awhile. She wanted to forget about the Saiyans, and all of the problems they caused her. Saiyan for a day... Atsuko wouldn't be doing that now. She saw no reason in it.
At the end, all she felt was disappointment. She expected more. So much more, but this? It hurt worse than any battle could have done to her. The only thing that could have potentially hurt worse is if Komatsu decided to strike her down right here and now. Or if he decided to kill the Earthlings under her care. Atsuko didn't even care about suggesting the newest acquired pupil in her care, Hwa-Jae. None of it mattered now. Her 'family' wanted to do things in such an asinine way, to discard honor and to trample all over her ideals and her morals...
Even when she was agreeing to help them... And even now, they were still going to violate the terms of the duel. Atsuko questioned why she was even still helping them at this point. But she had already given her word, she wouldn't be going back on it now. As the Saiyan turned away from him finally, the environment would begin to break down and shift back into the Pendulum Room that she had stormed off into awhile ago. They were back on the Timeless Lookout now. The Albino Saiyan would just take another deep breath, a sound more of defeat rather than determination.
"If there's nothing else, I think our discussion is concluded.", she stated. Once more not even able to so much as glance in his direction. The Knight then began to walk towards the door that would lead her out of this. Away from all of the pain. In the end, it was as she thought. There really was nothing for her in the Saiyan Alliance... Not even a little brother. She'd never say that, however. Komatsu wouldn't understand it, he'd just get angry again. He wanted to have his moment... It took everything in her power not to say...
'Choke on it.'

She seemed completely ready to fight the fake Nasu as he approached, so mething Komatsu quickly put an end too by ending the simulation around them with a simple shot to the terminal. He felt a little guilty about blowing it up but again, he'd be able to fix that up for her in no time. If she wanted to fight their brother, she could do that on her own time. The last thing he wanted was to get stuck in the middle of another one of their stupid fights. Even if he was jsut a simulation, he didn't doubt how close to the original he would sound.
After his little outburst Atsuko would seem to lose any fight she had left inside of her. Obviously what he had said hurt her, and while he felt guilty, he was also a little relieved... She verbally hurt him again and again every time they spoke, and Komatsu had the patience of a bloody saint putting up with it... He couldn't deny that it had felt good to find a way to get her to back off a little. He'd most likely regret it later but he was hardly thinking of the consequences of his actions at this point. He was too upset and lost in his own enraged mind.
"Look, that's not it. I"m saying he'd be pissed because I took you in over him. It has nothing to do with who gets stronger than who. You'd be just as upset if it was the other way around." Komatsu said in a huff, the lightning around his body hissing and screeching away as his frustrations didn't die down. He did reach up to wipe at his eyes however, an actual sniffle escaping him as he did so. He was still a kid after-all.
"If you want me to take some Earthling in with me so bad, then find someone who's on par with my power level. The only reason I suggested Jie Shan is because there's history behind us. He's beaten me in a duel before and has some strange hybrid power just like Jarvis does. He's the closest one I can think of that would be like fighting him. And for what it's worth, I do care, it's just... difficult." Probably not the best choice of words to explain how he felt, but he really couldn't think of anything better. It was hard to care about anything at all lately. He honestly just wanted to give into his own desires and leave... not just leave Earth but also leave the Alliance. Maybe it would be better to be on his own... or at least off somewhere with Kohlrabi... He couldn't take this stupid feud between his siblings, and he couldn't uphold the promise he made to his parents. He was done with being a failure... and this was going to be his last attempt at being anything but. These thoughts would be clear to Atsuko if she was still listening in to his thought, willingly or otherwise.
That was when Atsuko started to walk out, putting an end to their discussion with just a few words. He wanted to sneer, to say... something... to make himself feel better, but nothing came to mind. He would just fall silent as the weight of their conversation set in... only serving to anger him further.
"Fine... I'll be back tomorrow..." Once Atsuko left the room, his power blasted out around him in an angry wave of frustration. He would storm over to the panel he had destroyed, sitting down in front of him with a loud HMPH before picking up the various pieces and getting to work on it's repairs...
