Chris had became more than applauded with his own skills, in his own belief he had gotten quite stronger than he used to be. In fact he felt excited really. Today was something he wanted to try and do. He remembered the girl he had saw before, at least part elemi, but he couldn’t remember what affinity they had belonged to. So what better way than to say that he had hoped to maybe meet up with her more. No doubt with Ayami and the rest busy doing something he didn’t know of, he wondered if he could maybe even teach her. It wasn’t like it would be impossible. He had started off in the basics and he would admit he had been rather slowish to learn. Still he couldn’t help but feel a bit of excitement of trying. Was this how his Master had felt when she had first trained someone?
As he would exit his room he would begin to walk calmly towards the upper levels of the lookout, the base. He didn’t know for sure but he was wanting to take a guess that maybe she would be out near her throne. She did seem to be there most of the times when he had went to try and see her. Who would know, maybe if he could train the girl maybe he could grow stronger from it as well. Either way he hoped that she would say yes. Heh maybe he was getting a bit overly excited about it, but who cared. He held high hopes. Heh if hope couldn’t get him luck today he didn’t know what else would After all he was asking to take on a big responsibility and frankly he didn’t know how well his master would trust him to do it with what had happened recently. He wasn’t sorry for what happened there. What had been said there, was entirely what needed to be said. He had to show he was tired of being looked upon like such a kid. He had been through enough that he hoped the equal rights between all of the knights would truly be fair.
That was when he finally spotted her, rushing up towards her he looked up towards her before attempting to tap on her shoulder to get their attention. ”Master Suko, I wanted to ask something of you. I..I wanted to ask if maybe I could train Hisashi. I see so much potential in her, and it's a waste to have her here, but yet not let her do really anything. I want to know if I can actually teach her. I know it's a big responsibility but I know I can do it! If anything I think I can help her even more, hybrid to hybrid..So please...can I? I promise all responsibility of her will fall on me.” Chris would ask in his kindest voice as he stared eye to eye with his old mentor, he was indeed growing faster ever since that runic night..

Atsuko had been meditating today. Indeed, she wasn't training, and she wasn't specifically looking over Earth, but rather... Calming herself. Thinking over on what she had learned. Suffice to say, the Knight was ashamed of her past; not the Saiyans, mind you. She was getting to the point that she could look at her true race and no longer feel shame... She could bear the name 'Kimiko' and not feel as if it were an insult to everything that she stood for. What brought her to this revelation, one might wonder? It was something small, and ever so simple. Something you'd never think would happen.
But it did. Saiyans had chosen to stay behind on Earth. Not to spit at her terms, but because they believed Nasu was wrong. The Albino Saiyan wouldn't have believed it if not for the fact that she saw it with her own eyes. She confirmed it with the people that she met, as well. It... Took her by surprise, for more than a few reasons. Because it showed her what she was becoming. They were afraid of her, what she would do to them. She still recalled how they asked her not to hurt them.
The only wanted to live in peace... "I don't harm Earthlings.", she had replied to them. Something that took the Saiyans by surprise as well. But the meaning became clear, and they thanked her. That... That simple moment, the small things just like that, not happening once, but a few times. It brought her back from what she was becoming. "Like Nasu", was the best way to describe it. The Saiyan Alliance acted as they had done because they were fearful. While she still can't condone their actions... She can understand them. Atsuko questioned what it would have been like...
If Earth had been in a similar situation because of her own hatred. Now, of course, all of her hate wasn't just going to simply disappear, but anyone could see this for the plain progress that it was... Maybe Nasu would never be allowed back on Earth. But the same could not be said for those Saiyans that did want peace. To put it simply, this was the calmest that Atsuko had ever been in a very, very long time. She was finally back to her old self. It felt like she had been away for too long, if that made any sense.
But what interrupted her thoughts was the voice of her student, Chris. At first, she did not respond to his words, instead mulling them over to herself with her eyes closed, remaining in meditative posture... However, it soon became clear that she was not ignoring him, as the Knight would calmly stand up and dust herself off lightly. "I see.", she would first reply. This time around, she was not found within the throne room, but atop the Palace. The roof which proved to be the single highest point on the planet. She stepped over calmly to the edge.
Glancing out to the world below. "I will be truthful with you. I've been putting thought into Hisashi's state.", she began. "I do not think that she is fit for training.", she added. Already she seemed to know that Chris would question why, and she merely continued her explanation. "She is young. Naive. Emotionally unstable. And that worries me.", she stated. The Knight would then turn to Chris, looking him in the eye. Despite the seriousness of this discussion, she sounded calm. "Admittedly, I have been lax with the Students that I have taken up. Half have vanished."
She explained. "The other half... I have my concerns with them. They do not fully trust me. They are quick to make their own decisions in the heat of the moment. Often leading to disastrous results... In many ways, I feel that I've failed all of my students... But I wonder if they were truly prepared for the life that I gave them.", she continued. "That is why I do not wish to train Hisashi. I believe it would be better for her to return to her home. I've no doubt that she has potential, but I find her lacking to become a Knight."
The Albino Saiyan would then fall silent for a moment, gauging Chris's reaction. "You said that you wanted me to trust you more. Well, I'll hear you out. What are your reasons for wanting to train Hisashi? I understand that our group is lacking in numbers, however that is why I have decided to take up Seuta Hwa-Jae as a student.", she poised her question, and then removed at least one of the reasonings from the table. Their lack of numbers was no reason to rush into the act of bringing more recruits into the fold.
"What do you see in her?", she elaborated slightly. It wasn't every day that a Student gained the permission to train another. Usually this duty falls squarely to the Master, and if the Master had decided that the person in question was not fit for training... Well, it was a delicate matter, to say the least. But the young man expressed his concerns about the lack of trust. So the Knight would give him an opportunity to at least explain himself. If he had good reasons... Well, she would go from there. But she wanted to see if his thoughts held merit.
Otherwise she saw no reason for Hisashi to receive the training to become a Knight, nor wield the power of Excalibur. Whatever the case was, Atsuko fell silent as she waited for Chris to respond. There was a bit for him to work with, understandably she had said a lot... But this was indeed a very delicate matter, one that she wouldn't make a decision on very easily. But her student had come this far, perhaps he saw something that she did not. The Saiyan was often blinded by her emotions, after all. Though she had been working on improving that.
Chris had been expecting some kind of reluctance, but for his Master to give a flat out no and then to say that she didn’t want Hisashi trained..it was completely unfair. So much for the equality between all of them. Still, he wasn’t ready to give up just yet though for that. He had been prepared for this kind of thing. Not so much as a total risk of Hisashi being kicked out of their group practically, but yet still he wasn’t going to let someone who had wanted to train with them, had wanted to learn with them. He wasn’t going to let them suffer for this.
”Master I know that even you know those are stupid reasons to give. Young? That was exactly what you called me when we first met and yet you still trained me. Heck Hisashi is older than me! Not by much but she's sixteen and I'm still fifteen for a few more months. Emotionally unstable? Do I even need to remind you of what happened before to Ayami and your own sister? Have you truly talked with Hwa then even? Because if you have, you know she is just as unstable as I am about my own sister. Face it, those reason aren’t good enough. The same reason for saying about her being naive, let's face it, me, Gouken? Just two people of the many I could list. I can list plenty more. If you weren’t going to accept her for those very reasons...then there isn’t a point of me being a part of the knights either, because I fall into all three of those categories. Does that mean I’m lacking of being a knight? No, because you know how well I’ve helped other, how much of an impact I’ve made with others. So are you really going to deny someone else before you even have a chance to see what they can do? Also I have no clue where you're getting that none of us trust you because that is cooking up there in your own head, when have we once shown any time of not trusting you? I can name plenty of times where you didn’t trust that we could take care of ourselves, but I can’t name one time of where any of us knights have ever betrayed you. Saying we make our own choices, yeah there is that chance that somehow someway they could go bad, but that is entirely possible from your own choices as well. I know you're probably thinking back of when the saiyans invaded, but really what of that was disastrous for us? Buying you time to heal from Nasu’s attack? Helping restore Nasu free from that damn mark? The only ones that went bad for us was an unexpected attack from Caesar. There was no way for any of us to expect that. Did I make a bad choice going to help the others while you were busy? No. Did Gouken make a mistake buying time for us to get there? No. Did I make a mistake...sacrificing myself to buy the others just the time they needed for help to arrive? NO. So wherever you are getting these ideas of us having made disastrous choices then name them or snap the hell out of it. All of us knew the consequences of joining, all of us were willing to give it our all, all of us made that choice. Were about equality aren't we? Than give Hisashi that choice, if they weren’t willing they never would have even came here.”
Chris would say rather disappointed in his Master’s reasons, they weren’t fair. Fairness was supposed to be the thing the group was built upon wasn’t it? ”You want to know what I see in her? I see a bright pupil, one who wants to truly help out our world, someone who wants to put their heart on the line to keep others safe.” Chris would finish saying as he stared his master dead in the eyes. A fire of hope and determination burning from his own.
He had quite the little mouth on him... But Atsuko merely took it in stride. She listened to him as he become filled with such passion about the subject, that he so desperately wanted to train her as if the very act of being unable to do so would rend him and the world asunder. In the end, he finally gave his reasons of what he saw. The Knight merely smiled lightly and glanced out to the world below again. "And what makes you think that you can help her realize this potential? That you are a Hybrid just as she is?"
The Saiyan asked. "If that is the only reason, it is a poor one.", the Albino Saiyan did not spare him from harshness; he had taken both an ungrateful tone and had chosen his words... Poorly. To say the least. "As for Gouken, I do not recall taking him on as a student. He is a man that acts of his own accord, not a Knight, and he has made no formal approach to me asking to join our group, or to work with us. Perhaps that is the type of person he is... But he hardly makes a convincing point for your argument."
She responded. "As for rash decisions made... Challenging the Caesar alone was not only risky, but foolish. People died. And it presented the perfect opportunity for our enemies to strike during the duel. I had wanted everyone involved to stay at the ready, but not to intervene unless I believed that Nasu would destroy Earth... Instead I found everyone rushing off to have their own personal duels, and seeking out personal vendettas. These are facts. You may very well not like them... And to be fair to you, I didn't handle it very well either."
The Knight would admit. "But that is why we must better ourselves... That being said, I do not believe that Hisashi shows the traits necessary to do this. That is why I will not train her. Additionally what you ask is... Unorthodox. A student to train another student is not exactly a common occurrence, you see. Even more if a Master believes that a person is not fit for training... Set aside the Knights for the moment. That is what you ask of me, to impart my lessons onto someone that I do not find worthy.", the Albino Saiyan states.
"And do you have your own Training Dojo? Or do you require to make use of mine as well? If you had the resources on hand, I might be a little more inclined to accept the reasoning you offer, but then... You could simply train Hisashi in your own Martial Arts.", she continued. "Additionally, you have only just finished your training. Already you wish to take up the mantle of Master. I'll admit that you are very skilled, but the rest comes with experience.", the Saiyan pointed out. Even though Chris looked older now, that did not change his true age.
That did not change the type of person he was. Even though he had a new power, a new form of Ki. He could not change who he was so easily. That was the type of thing that happened over time. Time that he did not yet have. "Do not be so quick to use equality and fairness as weapons, Chris.", the Albino Saiyan then commented. "I have observed Hisashi, and whether you agree with my thoughts or not, they are what have led me to believe that she is not fit for training. That is why I won't handle it."
The Knight's tone of voice remained calm throughout this entire conversation. Where he held an undying, burning passion. It was only met with a calm, cool resolve. "Now then. Explain to me how you will guide her. How she will grow to become a Knight, a person worthy of wielding Excalibur's power. How will you help her overcome her darkness? Instead of merely saying that she has potential and deserves a chance...", the Albino Saiyan would once more ask of her student. He may have still believed that because he finished his Martial Arts Training that she was now his 'former master'.
But that was rather far from the truth. He said it once before that they weren't anywhere close to done yet. So there was no reason to act like that had changed mere days after he learned the final technique. He needed to truly convince her that there was a reason to train Hisashi, for she saw none herself. What he asked was to go against her decision, and even further to allow him to train another student. One that she already deemed unfit, perhaps he didn't understand the gravity of it. Perhaps he didn't care.
Perhaps one day, he would learn. "I understand that this is a subject that you are very passionate about. But you should understand that I am not your enemy, Chris. I'm asking you these things because this is a delicate matter.", Atsuko explained. After that, she fell silent. He deserved his opportunity to say his side of things, after all. She had said quite enough for the moment. All the while, she was gauging him. Trying to determine if he really could handle this, if Hisashi's training really would go well or not. To say the very least, she was skeptical.
Still... She was at least entertaining his idea rather than shutting him out entirely. Not that the young man seemed to particularly care about that little detail. But she spared him from at least that much. But she would not outright lie to his face either. This was not something that he could simply do because it was 'what he felt was right'. Or merely that she 'deserved a chance'. This was not something you decided on a whim, Atsuko had done that and there were times where she paid for it. She never said that she was perfect.
Chris had listened to what his Master had said and he was not going to let this debate end this way. He wasn’t going to let it end so unfairly for another. Hisashi was a good person, whatever darkness his Master saw in her it didn’t matter. They all had their own darkness. His master had her own darkness that he had even seen before, it had not been the most friendliest. Yet his master had been one to talk. Mastering one’s darkness..they must have been doing great in that glass cottage of theirs they shared with their corrupted half. As hypocritical as his Master had been there he couldn’t help but noticed something. Not once had they mentioned truly about what he had even said. About Hisashi even being older than him or the other facts of his reasons!
What she said about Gouken though..now that..that touched a nerve. ”You can say that about Gouken, but even you can’t deny that even if he isn’t physically one of us. He is practically a part of us! To say he hasn’t worked with us? Helping fight Jarvis to the end, helping us with calming Ayami on the lookout before? You can't say he hasn’t helped us. You just can’t! I don’t know if you're even listening to what I’m saying fully even because I didn’t give you only one reason of Hisashi, because I gave you multiple. Not just because I’m a hybrid as well. That was only one reason of many. If you really are listening to me then listen to everything I’m saying.” Chris would say as he stood up still towards his Master, he wasn’t going to be backing down from this. He couldn’t stand such an unfairness.
”You don’t want me to use fairness and equality as a weapon, then I won’t if you show an actual fairness. Every one of your reasons that you had given to me on why you wouldn’t want her trained I disproved again. You claimed she was too young and proved against that by pointing out she is older than me. Emotionally unstable? Again I disproved just by you wanting to train Hwa, most of us here are emotionally unstable. Now the best one of claiming her of being Naive, I don’t even think I need to list all the reasons of that one.” Chris would continue on with his furry of true facts.
”Challenging Caesar had not been a disastrous situation. More lives were saved by what me and Gouken had done, then what could have happened if we hadn’t. Those personal vendetta’s? How about no. My fight against Toru and Negi? I had been trying to get past them to warn you about having seen that mark on Nasu before on someone else. Going super saiyan there hadn’t been the plan. The others? I even heard Gouken having just wanted to have a dual with two of Nasu’s soldiers with Bern. Again Caesar came and everything went to hell. Something no one could have expected. All we know is the sky went dark and something happened. No one knows what happened there...Gouken had told me of the Dragon Ball’s before..was that what that sky going dark was? How did they even still exist? To quote what you told me. These are facts, you may not like them. Even if it is unorthodox about me training her, if I ever plan to teach others once you are gone one day, how will I ever know without experience. You say that she doesn’t show the traits? Then let me train her in your reality marble, let me show you that she does show such traits.” Chris would say with pure fiery determination.
”I will help her overcome her darkness, but exactly like I told you before..light and darkness can’t exist without each other. I don’t know what darkness you have seen from her. Whatever you’ve seen I haven’t, her actions? No because she has helped other’s plenty of times, her ki? Neither as well because I can sense it just as well as you can, and while I sense the tiny bit of darkness like anyone else I sense her light more than otherwise. We may not be enemies, but even you can’t deny the difference of thought. You want me to show you? Then let me, give me that chance.”
Even still... He was acting out of emotion. Out of raw passion. It was something that he had to be careful with, but the Knight let him have his speech uninterrupted. The Saiyan listened to his every word. He poured everything into them. The fact hadn't changed that he desperately wanted this, at any cost. The Albino Saiyan sighed. Perhaps her point had been missed entirely... Maybe he didn't want to see it. But she would open his eyes, one way or another. Atsuko turned back towards him once more. By now, her smile had faded and she merely stared at him for a moment.
"First, you must calm yourself. If you hear even the slightest criticism of someone you care for, you fly off the handle; even if it comes from me... I'm not saying Gouken is a bad person, I'm not even saying he hasn't done anything to help. But the fact remains that he is not within our group. He does not call me Master, and he has not learned from me... You can ask him that yourself to confirm.", the Albino Saiyan pointed out. There was no insult to be taken here, only a fact that remained.
"I said that she was too young because it's not only her physical age. It's her mentality that concerns me. She has lived her entire life in peace, only seeking out minor fights against beings less powerful than she is; scaring them off. Additionally, this is asking her to throw everything about her old life away to save others. Would she be willing to make that decision? Perhaps.", the Saiyan theorized for a moment. "But my final question remains. She's emotionally unstable, and I question her mental stability as a result. Say what you want about Seuta Hwa-Jae... But she is collected."
The Knight retorted. "Perhaps you've learned something in her past that I haven't. I know that she is determined, she has business that she must settle. But I know that it is duty that drives her forward. Duty is what she is used to, and it is duty that she will follow in the Knights. I cannot say the same for Hisashi.", she added. "Your skill to perceive someone's moral alignment is noted. But there is one thing that you haven't considered.", the Albino Saiyan paused for a moment. Perhaps he already knew what she was going to say.
"Can you trust those senses to be accurate on yourself? Can you say without a doubt that you are free of sin? Every student save for you and Hisashi has one key difference. They drank the Sacred Holy Water. The fact remains that you've only just finished your training, and now you ask to train someone that I have already deemed unfit. You claim to know so much more than me... And you ask me to trust you more.", the Albino Saiyan began. She would take a deep breath. This was not a subject that she particularly cared for.
Even if she could keep her anger in check. "You want this responsibility? Very well. But I'll warn you now. More responsibility comes with more consequences.", the Albino Saiyan would state next. "It is as you said. You will handle her training. You will take responsibility for her. But you will not simply complete her training all by yourself; train her up to an Intermediate level, and then bring her to me so that I might see her progress. I shall gauge whether or not she is truly worthy to complete her training. After which, I will give full control over to you in that regard."
The Knight explained. "However. Should I determine that she is not fit to finish her training, then you will admit that your own training is unfinished, and that it will never be finished until you drink the Sacred Holy Water. As I said, the standards are becoming more strict. If you truly wish this, those are my terms; success means that Hisashi will complete her training. Failure means that you will drink the Sacred Holy Water. Do you accept these terms?", the Knight would then finish, staring him in the eyes. Her expression had become rather serious.
Up to this point, it had been a relaxed debate of sorts. Even if the young man had gotten a tad into it on his end. But if he truly wanted this even against her wishes, then this was the terms that she was setting. "You'll need to know how to form the Reality Marble in any case. If you refuse, we'll consider this the end of the subject. Naturally however, I will show you how to form the Reality Marble if you do accept.", she added. It was as she said, he'd need to know how to form the Reality Marble either way.
And frankly, he would need to continue gathering permission from Atsuko for each student. The Knight didn't exactly like the idea of all of this, but if Chris wanted it so desperately, then she would grand it under a strict rule set. Now if he didn't want to accept the terms, that was something else entirely. The Albino Saiyan would glance back to the world below once more, falling silent as she waited to hear his answer to this. It seemed that she was set on this being the conditions for training Hisashi.
This was not something she was going to budge on, and it was clear in how she said everything once she became truly serious about the subject. Atsuko didn't hold the fiery determination as Chris did, but she did hold a firm resolve. This was the way that things were going to be. She was the Master, and he the Student. That was something he freely admitted beforehand. And if necessary, she would remind him of that fact. She was trying to trust him more, but her feelings still remained on this subject. A part of her questioned why she was even allowing this.
But here they were.
WC: 1,009 Total WC: 3,014 ______________________ Atsuko has given permission for Hisashi to be trained up to [IN] level of the Martial Arts. Worthiness to complete the training to be determined later. Failure means that Chris will agree to drink the Sacred Holy Water.

Chris was quite indeed a bit angered by his Master in the way she had sad her words from earlier. ”To recall exactly what you said, you said that he has not done anything to work with us. Sorry to say but the way you said that makes that whole statement quite a bit more different than how you are trying to now. I know he hasn’t learned from you but even you can’t deny the way you had said it earlier was quite indeed like that of an insult or a slap in the face. Yeah I’m going to be hurt for if someone insults about my friend, someone I’ve known long before I met you. Not on criticism, insults are a separate thing entirely. The way you had said it was exactly that. An insult.” Chris would say staring past his mentor into the skyline.
”Again you really can’t be pulling that kind of story with the way you are going. Never really been introduced except to minor fights. Even you know what I have to say to that one. That isn’t something that is your choice to make, that one is hers. If you want to truly judge her give me an actual reason, one that isn’t based on what you think of her being too young. Emotionally unstable I can’t believe how many times I’ve had to list reasons for that one. I’ve listed nearly all of us who have and somewhat still are a bit emotionally unstable, heck you are quite emotionally unstable sometimes even. You talk about duty as well, how do you know she doesn’t feel any sense of duty to help out if you won't give her that chance? The answer to that is that you can’t. You rarely talk with her, at least wherever I can see. So how would you know she doesn’t have some kind of duty she want’s to fulfil? The same way I don’t know if there is one or not, not until she gets that chance.” He would say bracing for what was going to be next. Who was kidding after all, there was always a next.
That was where it hit. All about the stupid Holy Water. He couldn’t believe she was still going on to him like that. ”Never have I said was I free of sin, In fact your not either, we’ve all committed our sins. Have you ever held hate towards the saiyan alliance or anyone from such? Yes. Wraith, that would be a sin. Here you are getting on me for the Holy Water again, this is the same thing I’ve been telling you about. Face it. You don’t fully trust me because I didn’t want to drink it. This isn’t a game about me drinking the water or not, this is a conversation about a pupil who truly wants to learn. Never once have I claimed to know more than you about everything, I’ve claimed you don’t know everything because you don’t. Never have I claimed know more than you because I can guarantee there are things you know that I don’t, and things I know that you don’t. I know that there might be consequences, thank you for letting me train her to that level at least, but if I find out or sense that you judge her unfairly..well then I can’t guarantee how well our future will be trying to get along..I will accept your deal.” Chris would simply. He didn’t care how unfair Atsuko would make this, he was going to insure that Hisashi would be able to learn like the rest of them. ”I do have one final question, the first and last time you talked to me, you said the Holy Water was a choice...This..This isn’t a choice if you keep trying to force it on me. ” Chris would say as he would think something to himself. ’Now where was the equality in that.’
The Knight once more listened to him as he went into his reasons again. Although at this point, it was clear that he didn't want to accept her terms. Still, she would hear him out... Just as every time before. But then the Saiyan would merely shake her head. "It is a choice. But you're asking me to go against something I have already made a decision on.", the Albino Saiyan replied. "And if you turn out wrong, there will be consequences for it. If you're so certain that it will turn out fine, why do you care about the Sacred Holy Water?"
The Saiyan asked that while staring him dead in the eyes. "You have a choice right now. I'm not forcing you to accept anything. But those are the terms that I have set. If you disagree with them, then I question why you accepted? Do you believe on some level that I might be right? That I may just have a point as the Master?", the Knight asked of him. "You wanted more responsibility, this is what it's like. As for judging her unfairly and how that may shape our relationship, very well. But you may not act on her behalf."
The Knight warned Chris. "On that day when you bring her to me, that will be her trial. One that she must resolve. Not you.", she stated. "As for Gouken, I did in fact say that he made no formal approach to come to me about joining us, or working with us. If you take that as an insult worthy of going to war with me over, then you have even more to learn about controlling your emotions than you believe... It's true that I've become very emotional over much more... But that's exactly that; much more."
The Albino Saiyan added. "For one who claims not to know more than me, you act otherwise. I suggest that you begin evaluating yourself and your actions on this venture.", Atsuko suggested to him. "Additionally, you will require permission from me to train any further students; for each stage of training. I'm making an exception for Hisashi. Pace the training out as much as you like, but go no farther than the Intermediate level.", with that... She had grown tired of this conversation with Chris. Whether he agreed with it or not, his attitude needed adjusting. Something that she would handle later.
If this ended up going as badly as she believed that it would. "Now then. To create the Reality Marble, you must use your mental link with Excalibur. It has already been formed through the training, in similar fashion where you call upon her power, you ask her to form the Reality Marble for you. Normally this is something she would refuse, requiring permission from me. But she's already aware of the terms I set.", the Saiyan would explain to her student. "Specify those that you wish to be brought into the Reality Marble, and they shall be brought with you."
The Knight finished. It was really a rather simple process, but one that would ultimately always require her permission, or the aid of Excalibur. "If there is nothing else, I intend to return to my duties for the day.", she fell silent once more, turning away from him. All the while, she remained calm... But her disappointment only become clearer towards the end. This ended up changing their relationship far more than he believed. But it was entirely of his own volition, Atsuko would not stop him if he truly wished this. But she would use it as a lesson for him if he failed.
No one liked to fail; she wasn't saying that she did either. But for Chris, he was willing to fight her at every turn on this subject, even drinking the Sacred Holy Water if she had been proven right in the end. As she expected, he didn't understand that he was going against her wishes, as well as the true gravity behind it as well as his previous words. Furthermore he didn't even want to apologize... But the mere suggestion that Gouken hadn't spoken to her about helping the group actively?
That was an insult worth fighting for. The hypocrisy was not lost on her. He was so quick to judge others, and was blind to his own flaws. She neither hoped that he would fail or hoped that he would succeed in this little decision of his. Instead she merely hoped that he would begin to understand. Standards were becoming higher. He didn't have to like it, but she expected him to improve just as much as she was trying to. That was what he signed up for when he became her Student. Nothing had changed just because he finished his Martial Arts lessons.
Chris believed otherwise. That was fine. Maybe it did; but this would be the proof of it. This was his chance. There was nothing certain about it. It didn't matter. He made his decision and now he could see it through... Excalibur on the other hand... "Where is the equality in what you ask of her? She already made her decision that Hisashi is not fit for training; one that I agree with. You fight her on this, and will go to any lengths to prove her wrong. You do this for anything said in disfavor of your comrades."
Excalibur would communicate with him briefly. "I'm not transmitting any of this to Atsuko. But I'm asking you to be careful... Don't burn bridges with her just because you two don't always see eye to eye.", the Sacred Sword added. After that, silence would overtake the Timeless Lookout once more. Atsuko believed that their conversation was finished and so began to use her Far-Seeing Arts to check up on the status of Earth. Though she could still hear Chris. Excalibur seemed content to merely leave it at that. The Albino Saiyan hoped it was the ending to this unpleasant business, in any case.
But she would admit one thing... Her student was very stubborn.
WC: 1,017 Total WC: 4,031 ________________________ Atsuko shared how to use the Reality Marble with Chris.
”No, it isn’t a choice when you keep asking the same question over and over again when you already know that my answer to it. I hope you won’t judge her unfairly. Also while you may say consequences, I’m not leaving any on you if you are wrong. That is all I have to say for that. I am certain it will turn out fine. That is because I still believe in her, whether or not you do. That is my choice. Why I accepted them? Because I care more about teaching a pupil with a potential to be something great rather than a silly argumentable choice you already knew my answer on. I don’t believe you right in denying her such an opportunity. I won’t lie that you have many great choices sometimes before, but this? This is not one of them and if you believe it was a great choice to follow in not teaching her, then it isn’t one I would be willing to follow.” Chris would listen to the last bit of what she would say.
”I won’t act for her, that will be for her to do, but as I said, unfairness in this will result in a lessened relationship between us. You should know better then anyone else, claiming and acting are two very distinct things. I won’t go any farther with your training for her to Intermediate level, but I will promise you. Once we are done reaching that level, I will find it hard to believe of any reason why you will continue to deny her. There is nothing else left for this conversation.” Chris would say further once more before listening to how she would explain the whole process of the creation of the reality bubble. ’If this is how Master Atsuko is going to be judging all of her students..then I hope she keeps the same standards for the others. As much as she can say different, it really was not proper reasons of her to say that Hisashi wasn’t worthy, all of us didn’t meet her standards. To deny this one but not us? That is hypocrisy. Is this even the same order Atsuko had led me to believe? Or was all that a lie about a promise to equality and fairness. Either way..I won’t let Hisashi have to suffer for this, the same way I wouldn’t if this were Ayami, Gouken, heck even if Cambia. I promise I won’t let this continue, no matter what.’ Chris would keep to his own private thoughts as he began to walk away, until he heard the voice of excalibur. ”I can ask you the same for where the equality was in her reasons, just because you agree on something does not necessarily make such a right decision. I only prove wrong that which is morally wrong. I fight for my friends because my friends hearts are what push me to get stronger. They are my strength as I give them such as well, even if it hadn’t been Hisashi you know I would defend anyone just the same. Hope after all squeezes in from even the tiniest of holes. I make sure to help give them that hope, not crush the dreams of it. Don’t worry Excalibur I won’t burn any major bridges, but the thing is this was more than just about Hisashi, this is still partially about the fact I chose not to drink the holy water, I’m not blind. My plan for if worse comes to worse, it isn’t evil, but it will change things here on the lookout.” Chris would communicate with Excalibur for that brief moment with his telepathy before cutting it before Exxcalibur could have a chance to try and dig into his own mind. Not that he would be able to read his thoughts after all without permission.
Ending RP, Will take PL and have permission to Train Hisashi to IN level.
"I would not bring up the Sacred Holy Water again if not for the fact that you constantly push for a student to be trained, that I do not wish to be trained. Hisashi is not my student. You can accept that as a truth. If you wish to prove me wrong, then you know what my terms are. Take it or leave it.", the Knight would respond to him. "Furthermore you have not made a convincing case. All you have done is repeat the same things towards me, no matter what I ask you. That is why I believe you are not ready."
The Saiyan added. "Do as you wish. But never speak of this again until you have trained Hisashi... Or you have decided not to go through with this.", she would give a command; this time a very clear one. "Whether you wish to follow it or not is of your own decision. But it is not your place to tell me who I should teach. That falls squarely upon myself. If you disagree with that... If you see 'such evil' in that, then you need to evaluate a great many things in your life.", the Albino Saiyan went further.
But then she fell silent once more. If he wanted to make an enemy out of her... He was well on his way. Excalibur merely sighs at his thoughts. "Time results in changes, Chris. Whether you agree with those changes or not, she has to follow what she believes is right. But no matter what reason you're fighting for... You're doing it because you believe that is what's right. You criticize her for taking her actions but you find no fault in your words and then the actions that betray them. Look very carefully into the mirror, Chris."
The Sacred Sword would warn him. "You'll find that you have much more in common with her than you might care to admit. As for your future plans... If you intend to act against us if she has reason to refuse Hisashi, then there's no fairness on your side. I expect you to change your attitude.", she managed before the telepathic communication was shut off. She was curious on what plans he had, but she was not the type to invade another person's privacy intentionally... But that wouldn't stop her from warning him off of it all the same.
Once Chris was gone... Atsuko sighed again. "So it seems another student wishes to leave. I see no reason to tie him down to this group... If he finds it lacking to his tastes, he is free to leave at any time.", the Knight would state aloud. "...But what do you think of all of this?", she would ask. Micaela would then step over. "So you noticed I was here.", the Previous Guardian responded. The Saiyan would give a nod. "It's not always plainly obvious... But I've gotten a little better at telling when you're around.", Atsuko would answer the observation.
"Well. He's certainly no Toru. He reminds me of him in many ways, but... Then there are so many differences that I can hardly believe the relation.", Micaela would make her observation of the event thus far. "I think that he's ready to fight you no matter what reasons you have. So if he wishes to leave pending on the outcome... I suppose it is for the best.", the older woman would then state. Micaela didn't hate Chris, but this was certainly handled poorly on his own side. He believed himself to be free of fault, whether or not that was intentional was another question.
But he so strongly believed that his side was the right, and the side which Atsuko belonged to was wrong. That was lost on him most of all. It became clear that he wouldn't grasp it, either. "Indeed... It seems that many are willing to hate me now. Perhaps there was some truth to what Nasu said. That I wouldn't have a place within the Alliance, or here on Earth.", the Albino Saiyan mused. "It only seems for the best that I am secluded, then... Maybe it's time for another change.", the Knight would think aloud.
"What do you have in mind?", the Previous Guardian inquired. "I think it's time that the Guardian of Earth became something of a secret... More of an idea.", Atsuko replied. "I see... That's a pretty major decision to make. I trust you won't be going through with it now?", the older woman asked. The Knight calmly shook her head. "It's not time for nightfall.", was all the Saiyan answered with. With that, silence overtook the Timeless Lookout as Atsuko focused on making sure all was peaceful on Earth... Still, she couldn't shake the sensation that a storm was coming soon.
But this time, it wasn't coming from some outside source, or some great evil. "All the same... It seems that twilight is upon us. A strange sadness seems to pervade the hour, doesn't it?", Micaela poised the question rhetorically. With that, the Previous Guardian would return to the inside of the Palace. Leaving Atsuko and Excalibur to their thoughts. The Sacred Sword wanted to tell Atsuko of the fact that Chris was planning something already. But she trusted her pupil... It was becoming more difficult to do that in light of recent events, but she would give him the benefit of the doubt.
She only hoped it wouldn't be something that would backfire. Still. Atsuko had her own plans for that day. To further accentuate the fairness in her decision should she believe that Hisashi was unready... He had his own views on the Sacred Holy Water. But there was an interesting property to them. One that she was well aware of. Now, it had turned into a waiting game. Chris would no doubt take a bit of time training the fellow Hybrid, but he knew how fast the young ones could grow. It was just a matter of 'when'...
Likely soon.
