[Thread PL: 25,255 base. 6,313.75 with Heavy Weights]
The Albino Saiyan had decided it was time to pay a little visit to her home. She spent a bit of time adventuring, becoming wiser to the world around her, and had encountered someone who was... A little rough around the edges, to say the least. The Saiyan Prince known as Athren was accompanying her up the Mountain to where her home resided. Though she was keeping things to a relaxed pace so she could hold a conversation with him. "So you know... I didn't get to find out about that tail. Like I said before, I thought I was the only Human with one."
The Knight struck up a conversation to break the silence. Though with the weighted cape she was currently wearing, she didn't exactly have a good way to show off her tail even if she fiddled with her armor and clothing to let it stretch for a bit. While she was taking him up to where her Order resided, she was making a slight detour first. Atsuko had seen where her pod crash landed, due to her brothers and sisters showing her the location she had been found at. So of course, she was going to take Athren there.
It didn't take them too far off the beaten path. There it was, a crater that was formed several years ago. And the ruined pod still sat in the center. The Saiyan stared at it, not really understanding the significance of it. "This is where they found me, by the way. They saw a shooting star in the sky, it crashed here. From then on... They took me in and raised me. I still don't really understand what all of this means to me. I was too young to remember anything about my past.", she spoke in a remarkably calm tone.
She couldn't even bring herself to be solemn about it. Why should she be? The Knight didn't hold any memories of anything aside from Earth. Her parents, whoever they were, obviously didn't think very highly of her if they just sent her off world. "As far as they were concerned, I was Human. And I was convinced of the same... But it was pretty clear there was something different about me, aside from just the tail. And it shows even today, they gave me a rank that's never been used in my Order for several ages."
She glanced over to Athren, trying to gauge what he thought of all of this. "That's why I refer to myself as 'Sworn Holy Knight'. They held a ceremony for me before I left on a pilgrimage. And they gave me this sword, a relic of our Order.", she explained. And then the Albino Saiyan pointed up the mountain, off in the distance, a structure could be made out. "That's the Temple up there. I spent my entire life there, well... After coming to Earth, of course.", she added. Now continuing her walk from the path up to the Temple atop the Mountain.
"I think you'll like it there. They treated me well.", she then stated. It wasn't very much longer until they had covered the rest of the distance up the path. Atsuko stopped in front of the gate, looking towards Athren once more. "Now, before you go in... We're a peaceful group despite the fact that we train constantly for battle. Our purpose is to defend Earth. When the Age of Demons returns, if it does... We'll be ready. So, mind your manners while you're inside.", she finished her little speech, and then she began to push the large gates open.
Some members had already gathered to greet her, Atsuko smiled. "Holy Knight Inoue! You've returned!", one of the men exclaimed. Atsuko shook her head slightly. "No need for formality, I'm still the same sister that grew up with you.", she responded. It still took some getting used to... The fact that she was such an important figure now. Especially given how strong she had become in such a short time. The Elder was the only one that held such a position before. Regardless, the Temple seemed to be in a great condition. They obviously put great care into their home.
The plants up here were resilient, just like the people that grew them. They had no shortage of supplies, and fresh drinking water wasn't far from their Temple either. It was easy to see how such a large group of people could go through an entire lifetime in total isolation. Up until her eighteenth year, she was the same. Just staying here... Constantly preparing and awaiting any threats that may come to the world. Once more Atsuko had turned to Athren, smiling calmly at him. "So, what do you think? This is where I grew up. It's why Earth will always be my true home."
Who would've thought that the saiyan prince would be accompanying the annoying saiyan woman who helped him days prior up a mountain to vist her home. They were at quite the slow pace, this was primarily to keep conversation open. If they weren't talking, surely things would've been quite boring. At least, to a further extend then they already were. Currently, Athren had his green scouter attached to his left ear and his new heavy weights equipped. They wouldn't have been noticeable though as he had a difference saiyan chest plate with the weights on the inside. Since he had gotten them he had noticed that daily activities seemed to prove quite a bit more challenging. Hopefully this mountain climb would push his physical conditioning just a bit. She had brought up her tail and how she thought she was human as they took a slight detour. Athren didn't know where they had been going, nor did he really care. At the end of the day he was doing something unique compared to his normal lifestyle choices. "You know, it doesn't make any sense to me." Athren spoke up. "If you've got a tail that's like mine I'd assume you're a saiyan. I couldn't know for sure unless I saw it, but i'd be quite confident with that answer." Athren paused for a moment. With that being said Athren would've shut up once more. He needed more evidence to help conclude the case of what this woman was, without seeing the tail he wouldn't have been sure of it. Though, little did he know he was about to get the rest of the evidence that he required to inform her properly.
It didn't take them very long but they had ended up standing beside a creator with an old saiyan space pod in it, it appeared that it might have had one flight left in it. It was worn down and old but saiyan technology was quite impressive and lasted over time. She explained that this is where they had found her. What didn't make sense to Athren is how she forgot where she came from and why. He was sent off as an infant as well and he remembered his mission and remembered his home. There were too many questions that he didn't have answers too. Athren's eyes would've went from the saiyan woman down to the pod. "Well, This explains how one of the best looking saiyan women I've seen ended up on Earth." He paused for a moment as he took his favourite posture. His arms crossing in front of his chest. "Though, this doesn't explain why you don't know what you are." Athren paused again as his eyes went back onto her. He was going to give her a brief history on how the saiyan race operated. "The way I see it, You're either from Planet Vegeta or Planet Natto. I can't tell you how Natto operates but if you were born of Vegeta I'd assume you were sent here as an infant to conquer the Planet. You see, we send our children off to Planets like this because they're capable of conquering them until the light of the full moon. There isn't a point to waste the time of our elites on such weak planets." Athren's eyes would have went back to the pod. "What I don't know, is why you don't remember. I was sent off as a child, yet I remembered my mission and pulled it off as requested." He paused trying to figure it all out. It was more complicating than he originally thought it was. Regardless, he'd try his best to answer any questions that she might have.
It was then she spoke about what had happened since she was found, how the people at the temple accepted her and she worked her way up to a high rank in their systems. It didn't take Athren by surprise as he was now even more convinced that she was truly a saiyan. Her appearance may have not went along with the typical saiyan appearance but neither did his. "It doesn't surprise me that you rose through their ranks, You're a saiyan after all. Hell, It's a damn shame you didn't return end up on Vegeta." She pointed to where the temple resided and continued to speak, she gave him a warning that he'd best be civil. They now continued to walk up the path towards the temple, he actually managed to spit out something that would've been slightly funny."If that's the case, I'd probably be best to keep my mouth shut. I don't do manners well." After he said this, she pushed open the large gates and the two entered. It was almost instant when people began to come up and greet her, it kind of reminded him of himself on Vegeta. He was a well known figure and had been greeted quite formally very often. It was different seeing somebody else addressed in such a manner. Soon after, they once again found each other's company in peace. She turned and smiled at him and asked him what he had thought.
Athren's honest opinion wasn't all that great, the place might've appeared nice but it wasn't a proper location for a saiyan. It's whole attitude and vibe was much too friendly. Being the Prince Of Vegeta, Athren was well adapted to brutal and ruthless training sessions under the most extreme situations. He wasn't one for kindness and weakness in a place of training. He wasn't against being battered and beaten and left for dead at an early age. This though? It just wasn't right. "Well, I don't think it's fitting for a saiyan such as yourself. It's much too.." Athren paused for a moment in an attempt to think out the most proper wording for it. "Peaceful...? Yeah, we'll go with that. A Saiyan should be trained under harsh and hostile environments. Not this." With that being said Athren's eyes began to scan the area. He almost felt slightly uncomfortable. Heavy Weights Equipped.
Athren had his fair share of concerns, so she decided to make it a little easier on him, and lead the way to a place where they could speak in privacy. They arrived into modest quarters, here there was old training equipment, things like wooden swords and the like. A bookcase was filled with old and dusty pages that were no doubt used for many nights of study. A rather nondescript desk and chair were also present in the quarters. And finally, a bed that looked comfortable enough, all things considered. Once more, she looked to Athren in order to hold conversation with him.
"In terms of my Tail...", she began her statement, fiddling with her armor and clothes so as to release her tail, she then lifted the weighted cape so as to allow him to see the white fur tail, sure enough, it was a real one. It responded to her movements and all. "See? I tend to keep it hidden because people have a bad reaction to it... And there's been more than a few sessions in training where I learned it was a bad thing to have it grabbed.", she explained in a calm tone, before then hiding her tail once more.
"In terms of which planet I'm from... I couldn't say, like I said I was too young to remember. What I can tell you is that they said I had a violent temper when I was younger, but they were patient with me, and managed to give me that same patience. As far as I'm concerned... Whoever sent me here didn't want me, this is my home now.", she started in her usual calm tone, but as she neared the end. She sounded rather... Angered, though it didn't last long. She casts the gloomy thoughts aside.
"Now, you mentioned intense training! You know, every member of the Order practices what you described. Myself included. The air up here on the Mountain is thin, especially the higher up you go. It's enough to kill someone if they aren't careful.", she began onto a new subject. "We don't do it just because we can, either. Everything we do here serves a purpose. Every person inducted to our Order is trained to fight a war. Long ago, we were under threat by Demons... Perhaps they were visitors from another world, perhaps they were something else. It's a rather vague term."
Atsuko explained. "But the meaning is the same; something was threatening us. And that's how all of this was formed. In the old days, a Holy Knight was the one that would lead the charge against the dark hordes. We're under no such threat today, but... Here I am. Sworn Holy Knight. I think they did it because I can come and go from the Temple as I please.", she added. And it was a pretty fair assessment, considering how she arrived on Earth and her total lack of experience. Everyone else would have come to the Temple at a later date...
But she was raised here. "Maybe there was more to it, but I was told to go on a pilgrimage. See the world, and most likely, report my findings... I haven't finished my journey yet, so I won't be doing that today. But I remember you mentioning how odd I seemed in comparison to those you've met before.... All of this is why. We stand vigilant in an old age so that everyone else might know peace.", she finished her explanation. It turned out to be a longer one than she was expecting. But... She liked being open with him.
"Now then. You're the guest, and I would like to be a gracious host. What should we do next?", she inquired. The Saiyan Prince was... Actually being rather nice now. It put Atsuko into a good mood to know that she wasn't wrong to help him back then. Now she wanted to show him how nice this world could be, why it wasn't so unreal that she considered it her real home. But above all else... She wanted to be an ally of his, and he needed to trust her in order to accomplish that.
"If you're hungry, I can prepare something for you. Or if you prefer, I can show you the training methods we use here in the Order. I think you'll be surprised by their difficulty... If you need a more relaxing change of pace, there's also meditation. That takes place at the peak of the Mountain... A tour, or just continue talking.", the Albino Saiyan added with a smile. But even while she was back home, holding what she deemed to be pleasant conversation and in such a good mood... She was still carrying herself as a warrior. It was something subtle to notice.
But her guard hadn't lowered, from when they first met, all the way to now.
Atsuko had began to lead them into a more private quarters. Athren didn't mind this at all, he wasn't exactly the most social of all creatures. He spent most of his time alone, he didn't find it necessary to talk to many. Though with a few that he's met the last few weeks he found it simple. Regardless, that was irrelevant at the moment. It seemed they were in a bedroom, Athren couldn't help but arch his right eyebrow curiously. Interesting choice of room. There were books and dusty old pages, stuff that Athren didn't take an interest in. He was a warrior, why the hell would he need to read? She mentioned her tail and finally exposed it to the prince, it was white in colour. It was unique. She then mentioned that it was a bad thing to have it grabbed, Athren understood this completely. "It's white. It's unique." He paused for a moment as his ocean blue eyes gazed upon it. "But Yes, I completely know what you're talking about when you say it's bad having it grabbed. Though, You're aware you can train that weakness away. Correct?" With that being said Athren paused for a moment, his eyes scanned the room one more time. He took his normal stance as usual.
She had went on about her temper and that whomever sent her didn't want her. She temporarily sounded angered by this. "You're a saiyan, of course you had a temper. It's safe to say you were supposed to conquer this planet but I suppose it's best you didn't, If you did.. We wouldn't be having this conversation." Athren paused for a moment in attempt to pick his next words wisely. "I wouldn't say they didn't want you, It's just how saiyans operate. Send their infants to conquer Planets. Plus, We don't usually get attached to others." He had then paused to hear her next rant. It was quite a long one regarding their training methods and goals, their purpose and motivations. It was odd to hear that a stray saiyan had a purpose when the Prince himself felt as if he didn't. The one on the mountain had really opened his eyes, he wasn't ready for the throne because he didn't want it. What purpose did a Prince have without wanting all the benefits of it? It was quite a serious issue but at least Athren was starting to make sense of it all. At this point, he fully intended to lay back on Earth and take time to figure it out. He'd roll with whatever punches that may have been tossed his way and figure it out from there. He wouldn't worry about the throne or his planet, not now. "Well, At least you've got a purpose. It's amusing.." Athren paused for a moment before continuing. This wasn't exactly the easiest thing for him to talk about, there was a lot of pressure previously about this. "I'm the Prince of Vegeta, Yet I don't even want the throne. I don't want the responsibility of being their leader nor do I want to deal with the politics. Where does that leave me? I've got nothing. No purpose." Athren paused as he walked around the room slowly, his eyes scanning all the pages and books that were out in the open. He was frustrated, there had to be more out there for him. Something he could want, something he enjoyed.
She had asked what they should do next, hell. She even offered him food and suggested a handful of options for them to try. She was being much too kind and it wasn't like this was Athren's terrain. He didn't know what to do nor did he know all of the potential options. "I don't know, to be honest. I couldn't care less what we did. It's just nice being around another saiyan, One that isn't so raw." of course the chances of her understanding this might have been low. She was kind when a majority of saiyans were not. "Doesn't exactly make things difficult that you're easy on the eyes." Athren paused his speech for a moment as he continued to investigate the room. He wasn't looking for anything in particular and he was taking his time, he was just curious. "And for the record.. I could handle any training you throw at me. I promise you, I've been through worse." With that being said Athren would've found a light smirk crawl upon his face, it wasn't anything spectacular but it was a sign he was warming up to having her around, she wasn't as annoying today as she was when they first met. It had seemed they were making incredible progress in such a short period of time. He was quite content with his decision to tag along to her home, he was actually getting to know her on a personal level and as much as he hated to admit it, he needed her. Word Count: 830 Total Word Count: 1,838
Athren briefly brought up that that the tail's weakness could be trained. "It can? I suppose I've never really tried. I'll have to keep that in mind, it could be important down the line.", she began a response. "But for now, I can just keep it hidden. The chances of people getting through so many defenses are unlikely.", she added. And then she returned her tail back to being tied around her waist, and set her armor and clothing back into it's proper position. She had a pretty fair point... Whoever wanted to try and grab her tail was going to have to go through hell to accomplish it.
Her own skills, and then the defenses on top of that. But that aside, Athren began to speak more about Saiyan nature. "Well... I guess I don't understand Saiyans, then. Forming no attachments and sending their family away like they do... That sounds like a lonely life.", the Albino Saiyan gave her response. "It sounds like I got pretty lucky to end up here, by comparison.", the Knight added. While the topic wasn't very fun for her, Athren was being respectful about it, so it hadn't bothered her quite as much as before.
Their topic of discussion turned to his nature as the Saiyan Prince, as well as the responsibilities he held in regards to the throne. The Albino Saiyan grew thoughtful for a moment, deciding how to best respond to this... "Well, if you're not interested in ruling or in politics...", she began. What Atsuko was about to suggest was probably something that Athren would find ridiculous, but she was going to be sincere about it all the same. "And you're seeking a purpose... Then, why not continue your training and use that power to help people? You don't have to follow our rules on the matter."
The Albino Saiyan continued to offer her advice. "You could take rewards for your efforts, or you could refuse them... If nothing else, I think you should try it sometime. Maybe you'll like it!", she finished with a smile. It was about at that point that Athren pointed out he didn't care about what they did, it was just nice to spend time together... And he gave a couple compliments her way, which caused her to blush slightly in response. Inexperienced she might be, but she was able to understand the meaning of his words.
"Well... I suppose I thought that by looking so unique from Saiyans, I was considered unattractive? But... Thank you.", she gave her statement. Though their conversation didn't dwell on that aspect for very long. The Prince gave a boast that he could handle any of the training that her Order could offer, the Saiyan gave a smile at that. "Well! I suppose I should show you what we do, then!", she replied. And then Atsuko began to lead the way to the training yard. The Albino Saiyan knew this place like the back of her hand, which only made sense.
She had spent an entire lifetime here, despite how young she was. When the two arrived at the training ground, there were still more members that greeted the two. Atsuko gave a calm wave to them in response, the training yard itself was fairly large. And it accounted for a lot of obstacles and shifting terrain. "We're all taught how to fly. But we're taught to fight without relying on it, as well. We become more skilled warriors by having to adapt to our environments. Taking to the sky becomes an easy feat, after that.", she stated calmly to Athren.
And then the Knight continued over to her favored training spot. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath... And then she drew her sword from it's sheath, what followed next were practiced movements that made it look less like she was practicing for a war, and more like it had become a deadly dance. The training demanded a constant forward momentum as well as to hit all the targets. The faster one could complete the course, the better the results from their training... Of course, even with the Heavy Weights, Atsuko was by far completing it the fastest.
The end of the course itself was brought to what appeared to be a battle circle. There Atsuko awaited the members of her Order to complete their training. She had already sheathed her sword as well. When they arrived, she made a gesture that effectively told them to all fight her at once. Which they obliged, their movements were practiced. But the difference was obvious, Atsuko had come much farther. Let alone the difference in power. Despite this, the way they fought was... Surprisingly non-hostile. The Albino Saiyan adopted a stance that used open palm strikes, and her brothers and sisters did the same.
Like this, they could fight without holding back so much. But they also wouldn't do nearly as much harm to their allies. Despite the fact that she was outnumbered and handicapped, Atsuko still became the victor. And she proceeded to help each of them up, offering them tips to help with their training in the future... It seemed like such a natural element for her, she was all smiles despite the simplicity of such a lifestyle. It may have been difficult to prepare for a war like this, but they were still making the best of it.
Finally, she looks to Athren once more. "Training like this can go on for hours. But it's only a fraction of what we do.", she then pointed up towards the Mountain Peak. "Up there is where we meditate. The conditions are harshest there. We go there without any protection... Including clothing. It is the most difficult part of our training, but it conditions our bodies to all of this.", the Albino Saiyan explained. While Athren may not have agreed with all of it... He didn't give any implications that he didn't like hearing about all of this. Maybe it was because it made her happy.
Maybe it was because it made him happy. In Atsuko's case, she didn't need to question it. She was just spending time with a friend.
Well, The Holy Knight made it clear that she wasn't aware that her tail could be trained. It was good that he had mentioned it to her. She could use the information to her advantage and prevent herself from being dealt a heavy loss. Though, she claimed she could just keep it hidden for now. Though it worked, why would she want to risk such a thing on such a simple factor? It seemed foolish to have the risk of a preventable cause be the loss of a fight. Sure, if the stakes weren't overly high it wouldn't have been such a big deal but if it were to the death or even to protect the planet? She'd regret not doing so. Athren couldn't bite his tongue on this one, it was something he needed to say as he's seen great fighters fail because of their tail. "You're really going to let clothing be the deciding factor of your life?" His ocean blue eyes would've attempted to stare into hers. Of course, she'd have to be looking his way for this to work. "Now, I know you know that an ongoing battle will most likely have some effects on your clothing. If your tail somehow becomes exposed and a fighter whom is familiar with the saiyan race see's this.. They may just go for it. Do you really want to put something as big as your life or this planet's fate into a simple factor that you could avoid?" Athren asked this in a soft tone. If she would have paid attention, it would have almost seemed like the Saiyan Royalty cared about her. Though, he'd never actually admit this. He was way too stubborn for that and way too prideful to do something so soft such as that.
Atsuko had then commented on the whole saiyan lifestyle situation. She had quite a good point, it was a lonely life. Currently, Athren had more total interactions on Earth than he did with saiyan's on Vegeta. It was kind of funny how that worked out but Athren wasn't exactly going to complain. He was mended into what he was because of the methods of his home world and he was quite proud of who and what he had become. Of course, his conflicted feelings were an exception. He wasn't proud of those. "You know, You're right. It's lonely but I wouldn't be surprised if that's the point behind it all." Athren paused for a moment as his head tilted towards the ground. His eyes had gone from her to the floor quite quickly. It wasn't necessarily because he wasn't proud of how his race did things, it was simply because he didn't get to meet many growing up. He had to grow up damn quickly, and on his own too. Having a conversation like he was now wasn't exactly in his daily to do list. That list usually consisted of fighting to stay alive, however that might have been depended on the situation he found himself stuck in. "When you're fighting to live from an early age, when you're constantly being put in harms way with zero people around to help you or guide you. You either fail and die or rise to the occasion. It's a good way to push a kid to become a killer, a warrior, a fighter. One who doesn't quite nor surrender. It's the way to create the most perfect warrior race in the universe." Athren paused once more as his head lifted up. His eyes scanning her figure before reaching her eyes. "It also keeps a fighter from connecting with others, It avoids the troubles of emotion and attachment getting in the way from the ultimate goal. It's actually very effective. So, You know what? It's good that you consider yourself lucky." At this point the young warrior would out a light sigh.
Atsuko had now given Athren advice regarding his lost cause. The fact that he didn't have a purpose was torturing enough but what she had suggested was just absolutely awful. She suggest that Athren help people for either nothing or some kind of reward? It was at this point that Athren literally would have busted out in laughter. That was an awfully foolish idea but Athren still appreciated the fact that she was trying to piece his life together. At least somebody was trying because he didn't even know where to start. "You've got to be kidding me, right?!" Athren paused for a moment still trying to hold back some of his laughter. "Helping people? That isn't my forte'. That's what you're here for, not me. I'm supposed to be a killer, remember? I don't save people, I wipe them out." Athren paused a moment. Though his words would have been true for the most part, his tone was actually quite soft. He was speaking in the terms of how he saw himself and what he was supposed to be shaped into.
The topic at that point was going to be regarding the saiyan womans looks but it didn't stay to that very long. On point of Athren's comment regarding this she blushed quite brightly, this had caused a light smirk from the royal saiyan. She didn't want to talk about it obviously. She quickly hit the point where Athren confidently determined that he could handle any training that she could throw at them. This was all for good cause, Athren knew if she could do it that he could too. Besides, there was other Earthlings that Athren had assumed would have followed this training. There wasn't anything an Earthling could do that Athren couldn't. That's how he saw it anyway. "Alright, Show me then." She had then began to lead him towards the training ground. He followed behind her quite curiously. He didn't know exactly what they did but surely it'd be nothing compared to the training he had been exposed too as a child. He would've figured it'd be something incredibly easy.
Finally the two had reached the training grounds, though it didn't take long it had seemed like it took forever. This was simply because Athren's curiosity had been getting the best of him. When they arrived people had continued to meet Atsuko's arrival with greetings. It was actually kind of annoying, how was a warrior expected to get anything done if they were constantly pestered by weaker figures? Luckily, this wasn't the place Athren was destined to train in so he didn't have to worry about that figure. She explained some minor details on how they're trained to fly yet they aren't supposed to depend on it. This was angle to look at it. If one relied on flight too much they wouldn't be as effective with ground combat. Hearing her words Athren nodded to agree. "That's a good way to look at it." He didn't say too much regarding that topic.
She had finally given her last little insight regarding the whole situation that surrounded Athren. He wasn't overly impressed with the training as it didn't really match up to the type he had gotten as a child. It was something he figured he could do without much effort, though he wasn't going to say this aloud. It was something he didn't need to speak of nor that she needed to hear. She then mentioned how meditation went in these parts of the lands. High point on the mountain and nude? That didn't sound very beneficial at all, in fact it sounded kind of lame. Athren understood completely that there were benefits of exposing ones body to the natural forces at play but he didn't understand meditating. It wasn't anything but sitting around doing nothing, it wasn't physically demanding and it didn't test ones skill. There wasn't anything to be gained in that, Athren couldn't help but question this. "Meditating nude in the mountains? That doesn't test ones abilities nor push them. That's useless. There isn't anything to be gained with that." With that being said Athren had gone quiet, it was now time to let her speak once more. Word Count: 1,355 Total Word Count: 3,193
He raised a point about her tail and the fact that it was weakened. But the Albino Saiyan just shook her head. "If someone's damaging me that badly and my tail ends up getting grabbed, I was already losing... Besides, I've already come to terms with what I might have to do if someone does try grabbing it.", Atsuko stated, then looking towards the sword sheathed at her side. The implications were clear, she'd cut off her own tail and be done with it if it really did come down to that. And the expression on her face... She had no hesitations about it.
Finally their discussion turned to the Saiyan Lifestyle. The Knight returned her gaze to Athren as he spoke about how there might have been a point to Saiyans being so lonely. He had a speech about it, and there were a few points. But... She shook her head once he was done. "You keep speaking about the 'perfect warrior', the 'ultimate way of things'... You know what I think? I think all it does is make them weaker. When the time comes where they need help, they'll refuse it. When they come face to face with a greater foe, they won't run."
She spoke with a calm tone. "And they die. Maybe they scrape by and live through another day, but what does it all lead to? All of the Saiyans sitting around a table, singing praises and downing drink in honor? 'Yeah, that one was tough. A true Saiyan'? ...You wouldn't be around to hear any of that. None of the Saiyans that rush blindly to their own deaths are going to be around for that. They have no purpose, they struggle and then they vanish.", she stated. Shaking her head once more. She just couldn't see any reason within it.
"I know that Saiyans aren't all bad... They've just been raised in a bad way. The cycle continues and no one wants to break it...", she finished. But they weren't going to dwell on that forever, thankfully. Their conversation took a turn towards what Athren should do with himself. "You only do that because that's all you've known. Just... Give it a try. You can't really say that it's not for you unless you've tried it, right?", she pressed on the point. "If you don't like it after you've tried it a few times... Well, that's alright."
She added. "I just don't want you to wall yourself in because you think 'this is how it has to be'.", she finished. Their conversation then took a much more pleasant turn towards meditation! "Meditation is very important, Athren! It helps you control your emotions, rather than be controlled by them. And it helps you focus, become more attuned to your inner energies! It also helps us adjust to the thinned oxygen up here. Haven't you ever wondered why it doesn't bother us up here? Or why we can all fly?", she began to make her point with a smile on her face.
"Or why we can all use Ki? Give it a try sometime, you might find it's use! I can even show you how, sometime!", she finished. So what should they do now? The Albino Saiyan pondered, there must have been more to do... Maybe she could show him the Sword's Shrine? Although... She wasn't sure what he would think of that. And it was a little pointless, considering she already had the sword and all. Hmm, well there wasn't any real harm in asking him. They'd be able to think of something, surely! ...Maybe!
"Well, there's not much more to show you. Would you like to see the Sword Shrine? It's... A little vacant now.", she said with a small laugh, once more shooting another glance at the silver sword. "But it's our more sacred location. Or... If you have any ideas, we can do that! I feel like I've been rude, just dragging you all around like this. But I've never really done this before...", she then went on another small rant. Atsuko really didn't have much experience with people. Always trying so hard, but at least that was one of her redeeming qualities.
She always tried her best at everything, even if no one asked her to... Perhaps, that was also one of her faults. Depending on one's perspective.
