Another day had gone passed.
After doing some thinking, and informing Hana of her decision, she had decided to take school off for the day. Although it wouldn't be a choice that she would take lightly. Time as of the essence, and she would be using this day to journey off to East City.
Majins, like the rest of the supernatural species that had made earth as their home, were a group of peculiar beings. Their flesh was pink, and from reports that her friend had gathered, was able to make their flesh lose form, as if it was just gum.
They had been a core part of society for a long while, and have long since served as apart of earth's military. Nobody really batted an eye anymore at the menacing appearance that came with having black sclera, nor did they really need to do so.
Their childishness, and the peaceful nature they had shown, gave them reason to be trusted excluding their contributions to the world. But that was the interesting thing she had found about them. Behind their personality, she knew there was potential for them to live up to the reactions they had gotten long ago in the past. Potential for her to go and hunt one that would be enslaved.
With their weakness for candy, which already was evidence that they were capable of being manipulated, she couldn't be more than satisfied with picking them as her first study. Likely would be a lot easier to track down than her other two choices too.
When she was finally good and done with this project of hers, it would more than make up for her mistake in blacking out in her first blood frenzy. According to her friend, a rural area like East City, would be more likely to have this group living there.
Which, recalling the reports, and what she heard about the city herself, did make sense. It was peaceful for the most part, and unlike West City, wasn't surrounded by a literal wasteland. That kind of thing no doubt would frighten many of them away.
Though just because she knew where they could be found, didn't make the journey there any less work. The roads she could possibly take, would eventually end if she had traveled by foot. Which meant it was only flying, and would require repeated rests.
Flight through the use of ki, wasn't something she knew how to perform, if only because it wasn't anything necessary to learn. She could already shapeshift into a bat amongst two other forms, but the use of ki beyond hiding her strength, was something that she was interested in. There just needed to be time to practice such methods, and now wasn't really one of them.
Stuffing what she figured she needed into a slingbag, she had left her home.
For the most part, decisions were made with reason.
But there were times when some of those reasons revealed themselves slowly, and only with proper time. Hers just so happened to be while in flight, where it became obvious just how much distance there was between West City, and her destination of East City.
To keep from both boredom and annoyance about the force of wind trying to push her back, all she could really do was think while up in the air. It wasn't an unusual opportunity for her, as she was the sort who liked thinking of possible scenarios, and its results.
And this time that she was given to do so, allowed her to see something she hadn't realized. While she did go and pick her three beings to study from, in the hopes of learning and improving herself, there was another hidden side to the three she picked.
At least, from the little that she knew of them on personal experiences. With the group that possessed monkey tails, the Saiyans, who had long since established their presence here on earth, they could possibly be the group that focused on attacking.
The past events that occurred on the world had said that much was true. The Majins, with their moldable pink flesh and good nature, served to be beings who focused on the defensive, should they ever be attacked. While Nekomajins, who had just as much childishness, yet knew how to both fight and defend when they needed to, could be seen as a group of people who were balanced.
She had no personal evidence, but rather just theories, though that didn't mean she couldn't be the one to make them true. They were far less imposing than the other beings she had taken a look at, so it wasn't as if she didn't stand a chance of enslaving one.
It would definitely be far more work than going to East City was, but it was achievable. She had already put in a good hour or two, with making her flight to the city, and taking short breaks to rest her arms, which became wings when shape-shifting.
Flying for an extensive period, was a good way to make her arms beyond sore, but it would be all worth it in the end. The trouble was luring one of them far enough for her to beat one into submission, and have it be a loyal minion that would die for her.
A Vampire like her, who dreamed of being in a position of power that many recognized, needed that sort of protection. Finally reaching the city, she had duck into an alleyway, and immediately shifted back to her regular form, quite tired of the journey.
Her body felt heavy enough for it to be reasonable to pass out right there in the alley, if not for the dangers of being unconscious, even for someone like her, who was much stronger than a human. Not to mention the shame of making the same mistake.
Those two thoughts was enough to force herself up, her back pressing against the wall for support. To let anyone see herself in such a condition, was one she didn't want. The looks that she would receive, and their pity, was a reminder of a time long past.
Yet, memories, no matter how distant, still had the potential to be strong and come back. Her appearance would cause a bit of attention, but nothing that wouldn't die down with some time. Shifting into her mist form, there was a certain feeling of floating in the air, which she usually concentrated on, as sight of her body disappeared. This was the best way for her to recover.
From the alleyway, she had left into the street, the pair of eyes that she had in this form, just subtle enough to have people question if they were delusional. Passing through the city, the sights all seemed to be humans at a first glance.
Which was expected, since humans were plentiful. Their confusion at her form didn't go unnoticed, but since it didn't seem to cause any harm, they went on with their day. An opportunity which she took to slowly but surely, stop hiding her ki to that of a human.
The effects were more noticeable than her passing through, as heads and bodies shook from chills being passed. Their faces were enjoyment, but their murmurs and wonder if she really was just mist, even more so. It was an amazing feeling, to have this kind of control over people. And to think that all she had to do was let slip a bit of strength to get them thinking of the worst.
This satisfaction turned to one of interest however, as she passed through the beings she was looking for. Both seemed to be adults, though the differences between the two, were rather obvious. The female was rather toned and youthful looking, with eyes that seemed to hold the kind of experience where even an invasion on the city, wouldn't bring any worry to her.
While the male was fat, though not so much that he wouldn't be able to reach down and touch his toes. Both were wearing military outfits, which gave indication that they must have just returned from base. The male was the one who tried to fan her away, while the female watched on, giggling in amusement. A rather interesting observation, for someone who used to avoid creatures like them.
She allowed them to pass, but followed after, going back to hiding her energy. Interesting as they were, she was following in the hopes that perhaps they had or knew someone who was younger, that she could possibly mold into a loyal minion for her.
Those who were as experienced as these two, were not likely to be broken down by her will. Of course, she knew that even if she did lower her energy, there was an extent which she could put it at, so there was a chance at least one of these two knew she was following them. If the mist that was her body gave any indication at all. But she would stop and shift back pretty soon.
The two were quiet for the most part, seeming to just enjoy walking in this kind of solidarity, with only yawns and stretches filling the silence. It seemed these two lived in an apartment, judging from the area that they were walking in.
She had seen several other creatures from this group, but they too, looked to be the same age as these two were, so there wasn't any point in branching away. Eventually, she had stopped a bit away from their apartment, where the two had gone in.
The silence that had gone on, was both unusual, and right for these two at the same time, knowing that they were just being in each other's company. But that was also thinking that was apart of her old humanity, and was one that she pushed aside.
If her findings here turned out to be worthless here after all, then she would have to continue and move on before night had came. Shifting back to her regular form, her body felt much better, and like they had done, she couldn't help but stretch as well.
The trip here had been a long one, with only the company of her own thoughts and scenarios to entertain her. She wanted more amusement out of this day, but one that wouldn't attract attention that she was yet unable to handle without help.
Not to mention how it had been awhile since she had blood. There was still a few vials she had left, but nothing was better than obtaining a fresh supply from a source, where she could have the kind of fill that what she had, couldn't do alone.
No eyes were really on her as she walked pass apartment doors, which was evidence that the area around here must have been good. Either that, or it was just apart of these creatures and their nature to be so trusting about those who had passed on by. Finding the one that those two had gone into, she had turned the knob, to find that it was surprisingly had been left unlocked.
"Ara, it's about time you showed up."
