The Southern Islands.
She was starting to see an odd, but interesting pattern here. Her first servant, had required her to travel all the way to East City, which was different from her own hometown's climate. What she thought had been a potential servant, had her looking around her hometown, only to end up with failure.
That meant she would have to eventually head up to the Cold North, when she found the time to do so, in order to potentially meet a proper and third ally. But it would be a long while before she was able to do so. Coming here to the Southern Islands hadn't exactly been an easy thing, still being a student.
The amount of homework she had piling up to make this trip, would put her in such a foul mood, when she got around to doing so. One that would require a lot of pampering in the mansion to appease her in ways using the gravity room, simply couldn't. Something she would reward herself with later, when returning to what she had been looking for. As usual, the pink-fleshed girl had been left to take care of their mansion, while she flew around in her bat form.
According to her servant, there was said to be an outpost around. She didn't mind admitting she couldn't recall ever hearing about such a thing, since while the Southern Islands seemed to be a good place to vacation, it was a long way from West City, and the trip wasn't something to be glad of pursuing.
If this search of hers hadn't been started only after a day of rest, she would have been more annoyed right now. Something you would think would be difficult to do, seeing the sights this area had, but if she wanted to go and prove something was wrong, this could have been one of them.
Luckily, with her servant's knowledge, there wasn't much of a need to dawdle around where most of the locals seemed to be. This outpost the girl had mentioned, likely had to be away from civilization, since it was apparently the place where Saiyans had made a sort of base out of for their kind.
She was told there would be rubble, since the place was destroyed, though that bit of information didn't meant there wasn't a chance of scavengers. Their people came to earth too often, to really just all stay on their own planet. Whatever battle had happened here, there had to have been a few left over.
Flying around the city, she couldn't help but think back to that housecat, who she returned to its family. If that stupid thing had only listened to her, it could have had way more food than that family could have given it. Beyond her aura, what exactly was it, that made it not like her enough to run away?
She would have thought it would have appreciated seeing she was able to keep up with it as well. Was there really nothing she could have done to taken it away from its home? All she could really think of, picturing such options, was how difficult properly training it would have inevitably been.
True as that might have been, even now, weeks after since she had returned it, it was still upsetting she had wasted so much time for nothing. A lot of what time she had spent chasing it around, could have been spent relaxing in the mansion, continuing to rest from the exertion of that morning's gravity room use.
But this would be different. It was already shaping forth into being different, with how she was able to save time in just heading straight where she could find what she was looking for. She wouldn't end up empty-handed this time. Wasn't going to let her currently only servant, into believing she wasn't capable.
Tue further she had beated her wings, not bothering to waste time with scaring the locals, the more she started to increasingly stop hiding her energy. While she never really had any reason to fear for danger, hiding her true strength was not only meant for warding off unnecessary attention, but also gave an advantage into acting as a sort of moving beacon. Anyone who was looking for a fight, would know to head to her location to get exactly that.
This group that she so wanted to make one of their own into her servant, both reports and the girl had said liked to fight. When she landed, would it be noticeable enough for her to be immediately attacked? Or was that simply just too much to hope for? It was hard to tell. Almost always was.
All she knew, was that she was looking forward to fighting whoever she met. She had to ease into revealing her purpose though, like her most recent attempt to recruit an ally. It had worked long enough for to get close and attack, but it was the lack of interest the cat had, that kept her from revealing anything. This would likely be a reverse of sorts. One where she was hopefully attacked, and could explain what she wanted while attacking.
As she began to approach this supposed outpost, fully showing the kind of power she had, an eyebrow was raised in interest. She wouldn't be able to see much of it until she actually landed, but what she was able to see was astounding. Rubble and ruins of what had once been a rather huge place.
She didn't know a thing about architecture, though she had enough reason to know rebuilding such a place would take more than just a few stones. Not to mention the kind of time, effort, and the people that would have to be involved in order to rebuild this place. Those who had helped destroyed it, must have been rather strong. Much more than her, as upsetting as that kind of thought was. But she was young, and people older than her, only had so many years left.
That thought had put a smile to her face, as she landed on the ground, turning back into her regular form. While she was used to switching in between her three forms, that didn't get rid of the odd feeling of having to readjust back to a regular body. A step forward had her wobbling for a few seconds, before her body had remembered how to walk again. Even shifting back while sitting on her knees, could only help so much to this feeling of imbalance.
Having recovered and disappointingly hear neither footsteps or the use of ki attacks, she had made her way past the first blocks of rubble, looking around to see if she could find any signs of life. To be able to cause this much destruction, if she didn't get what she wanted, was one currently just a dream.
How out of reach it was, she could only say such a thing wasn't something she would be able to do alone, sad as that was. This kind of destruction had to have been caused by multiple people, who not only had to put work into destroying the place, but also defend against those trying to save it.
How many people were there involved? Enough to form an army? Or maybe it was even less, and they were just that strong. She wanted that kind of power, that kind of wealth, for her own. But there was only just so much she could do to not bring attention to certain public offices, who could question just where she was able obtain her money from. That transfer of cash from that couple, was a lucky one, which thankfully didn't really need any explaining.
But those legal matters were something she could ponder some other time. It was faint, but she could hear the approaching of running footsteps, and one that belonged to a single person, unless there were more flying in the air. She had accepted awhile back that someone flying with ki, was a possibility.
The strange thing about these footsteps though, was the gap between their pacing. It reminded her of her own, whenever she fought seriously, and wasn't just toying with someone, like she had with her Majin servant. How she was fast enough to make it seem like she had seemingly teleported to the untrained eye.
This was the feeling she had gotten listening. Had she actually met someone who could possibly challenge her in speed? Turning to the source of where it was coming from, she had seen it. A small girl wearing blue and brown armor, with a monkey tail freely swinging from the air. Blink too long, and the girl would no longer be in the same spot as before, but somewhere much closer. She was jumping too, as if she actually was the animal whose tail she had.
Even before the girl had landed a few feet away from her, she had already knew this girl was what she was looking for. Saiyans were surprisingly similar to humans. So much, that it was a bit creepy, the only apparent difference she could find was the tail, and this girl's rather toned body. She looked a lot younger than her too. The girl had looked at her, with a face that was curious, before looking around. Did she really think there was someone else here?
The thought made her clench her fists, upset this girl likely thought she wasn't good enough to have this kind of strength. It had to be because she had looked human. Something which although she agreed when it came to human strength, was still insulting to really be lumped along with that group.
Stopping the search after a few brief seconds, the girl had clicked a button on the eye piece she was wearing, where she could see numbers flashing on the thing. The device was carelessly tossed away after, though it hadn't been in frustration, if the interested smirk on the girl's face meant anything at all.
"You're strong for a human."
It was all the girl had said before charging forward, her words filled with interest, but the tone had made it sound like it should be insulting. With how sudden the approach was, all she could do was block, as a flurry of rather fast punches were sent towards her, and not all in just one place either.
They had aimed for odd places like her throat, chest, and even between her legs. It was surprisingly intelligent, for a species that she had believed to be beneath her. Each aim had been blocked with her hands and elbow, because as fast as the girl was, it was nothing compared to her kind's own speed.
With the kind of exertion that was being put to hit her, which did force her to move back for some attempts, it had to be tiring. Something which she was waiting for, before she could give back the girl the same gusto that she was putting in. Already, her breathing was starting to increase, and arms starting to get sore, as they met with the girl's fist. Which although was shared by her opponent, that proud look on her face showed it wasn't something she cared.
She was really thankful she was fast enough to see these hits coming. Never would she thought she would be capable of such feats, or really battling someone she knew was from space. There likely wouldn't be much time before this girl would result to using ki attacks. Something which she still hadn't learned.
Though she had studied her Majin servant enough to get a feel of how fast the girl's usual strikes were. This would serve to be an advantage, since quick strikes were exactly what she needed, if she wanted to race against what she knew would be the girl's approach to using ki attacks. Something that was dangerous for her to be hit by, with the kind of range it had, even while trying to deflect the things with her own hand. So much heat was behind those.
When the time came for her to learn them, they would surely be useful. At the moment though, all she could do was hope she was quick enough not to be hit by them. What she had seen of the girl so far, was that although the attack style seemed similar at a first glance, the girl was actually different.
There was intelligence behind these punches, and as exhausted as doing them must have been, the smirk on the girl's face had showed she still had enough stamina to keep on going. It really made her want the girl to join her cause, and would speak of this offer, just as soon as she reversed the situation.
Like she had thought, the girl had eventually stopped punching at her, jumping back to move away. She seemed tired, but not on the level she knew her servant would usually be, after throwing a bunch of ki attacks at her. This was her chance to attack back though, before she could recover.
"Listen,"
She had began, using as much speed as she could muster, after a deep breathe. Appearing next to the girl in a matter of seconds, forcing a frown on her opponent's face, she had struck the girl with her palm, giving one push, before following it up with another strike. Having shoved back the girl, and thus sending her moving back as well, she had to keep moving forward, to deliver the other strikes. It really had became a reverse of the situation moments ago.
"Your strong, and I want you to join me. I can use someone with your kind of strength working for me."
All she had gotten in response was a glare, as they moved around the area, with her strikes toward the younger girl only continuing to push her back. Without the hunger for blood, she had yet to be fast enough to get behind the girl, and do a back and forth push, like some kind of trap.
"I have a Majin already working for me, if you're looking to fight someone other than me."
She maybe had a few more seconds at best, before the girl would likely force her back with a ki attack. But she had more or less gotten out most of the enticing parts of her offer, saving the bits about the gravity room she had, and living in a mansion, for last. Choosing to also not say someone on the girl's level, was also something she had done to be considerate, rather than possibly continuing to anger the girl. Didn't want another Nekomajin scenario.
"You talk too much."
Not that what she had seen of the girl so far, had shown that she was childish. The girl's expression made it seem like she was thinking about it, but then what she had thought would happen, did. Blue light had enveloped the girl's palms, in the shape of an orb, which the girl had gone and threw at her.
She was forced back, barely landing on her feet enough to balance herself from falling, only to see another blast headed towards her. Raising with her arms over her chest, she had blocked it, but was still pushed back a bit. The girl apparently had two orbs charged up, and one that was likely a spare of sorts.
More of the ki attacks coming towards her, had gone and showed that theory was true. One had been sent out first to hit her, with the only one only following if it succeeded or missed. Once again, the girl had shown that she was more intelligent that she had originally believed her to be.
Even while these attacks were sent towards her, the girl was already creeping forward, seeming to already decided what her next move would be. She wanted to see more of the girl's tricks, if anything else, before revealing the rest she had to offer. Continuing to block the next few hits, she had steadily moved forward herself. It was agonizing, having to deal with the brunt force of the attacks, which had already gone and left its mark onto her forearms.
But if she didn't push through, how could she ever expect to be in a position of power? This girl was going to be her servant, whether she wanted to or not. The ki attacks had stopped, and both she and her opponent met again at close range. Quick punches were thrown at her, although didn't seem to be targeting any vital spots this time around. From the blows that she was taking from the girl's fists alone, while dealing her own in the same speed, this exchange seemed to be intent on just hurting her, rather than being meant to take her out like earlier. Though she knew this couldn't have been all the girl had.
As much as she didn't like being hit by ki attacks, it was too peculiar for the girl not to throw those orbs of hers, one after the other. Maybe not the same way her Majin servant did, but it would still be the same kind of force and effort she had already seen from the girl. So what was she waiting for?
She had pushed back against the girl, using her own fists to help her jump back. Beyond the girl's own satisfaction, a lot of their expressions were rather alike. Any hits or too much force, had brought on an appropriate amount of frustration or pain. While the girl had been quick to recover from it, she still couldn't help but see the girl as someone who was human, rather than a creature from space with just the uncanny likeness of earthlings.
The fight was starting to near its end, with their bodies battered and bruised. Blood was bleeding from places that had been struck too much, which although serious, was still a gruesome sight nonetheless. If the girl really was more human, than just some creature attacking on instinct, then she wanted to see more of the girl's drive. Had to keep fighting on until the girl could do nothing more than to fight back, with whatever she had left of her.
Charging forward in what felt like it would be the last, a lot of focus was put into her legs, as she sped forward with the same drive she had with dealing palm strikes to the girl. Quickly moving from one spot to another, she had either dodge, or willingly taken, the orbs of ki that were repeatedly sent her way. These were no longer waiting for one to strike, but something to force her back. This was what she wanted to see from the girl. What she wanted to feel.
Her fangs had bared out with this excitement, which from the look of the girl's face, she had to have recognized that this wasn't something normal for humans. It didn't deter the attacks from stopping however, nor her own pace towards the girl, as she crept closer with the superior speed she had.
The punches that she had sent towards the girl's way, had in mind the same speed and strength behind the earlier palm strikes. It was a step above, going from shoving to punching, and was one meant to help end this fight. With the close range it required, as she lacked her only servant's stretchy limbs, she was hit by several of these ki spheres, which only speed was able to prevent it from being a constant thing. It forced her back, but her punches did the same to the armored girl. She was starting to feel exhaustion take over, and subtle as it was, the younger girl's own force was starting to lack as well.
"If what I said wasn't enticing enough...I also have a gravity room and mansion."
What breathe of air she had left, and was able to get through these blows, there was no longer a need not to reveal the rest of what she had to offer. She had seen what she wanted of the girl, who had long since proven she not only had the drive, but also intelligence in there as well. Something she highly needed in a servant. Aggressive was fine, but too much meant there could be no loyalty built. This girl, young as she was, had the right amount.
The attacks had stopped, but not completely because the girl was also tired. Interest was clear on the girl's face, and despite the exhaustion, she had to wonder if this was all that it would have took, to get the girl to have agreed in the first place. Mentioning the more useful parts of her mansion.
"You will take me there when I recover."
She should have known.
She was starting to see an odd, but interesting pattern here. Her first servant, had required her to travel all the way to East City, which was different from her own hometown's climate. What she thought had been a potential servant, had her looking around her hometown, only to end up with failure.

But it would be a long while before she was able to do so. Coming here to the Southern Islands hadn't exactly been an easy thing, still being a student.
