Atsuko had once more returned to the frozen north. Her reasoning behind it was the same as always, life here was scarce. Her training could go about undisturbed, and she wouldn't have to hold back in fears of endangering those around her. Although to her surprise, that didn't hold true this time around. There were some shady looking figures here... The Albino Saiyan grew curious, and approached them cautiously. As soon as she came into view, they began to surround her. Bandits, of course. Atsuko proceeded to take her stance. Well, this was perfect. It allowed her to practice a new technique...
One of them charged at her, ready to attack and she weaves to the side, throwing a precise blow on his arm. It was damaging, and seemed to make his arm go limp for a few moments... Hm, she didn't do it quite right. It needed work, and thankfully she had plenty of targets to practice on. She followed up with another precise blow on his leg, which caused him to topple over. The Saiyan turned her attention to another one that tried to take advantage of her distraction. She paid him back by striking him in the arms.
This time it worked a little better, his arms went limp and it had more of a lasting effect. It was still too short to really be useful, however. She continued on, now striking his legs. He fell over just as his friend did, and she continued her practice on each of the men that had surrounded her. There wasn't much to say, they weren't skilled enough to be a threat to her. And most of it consisted of mixed successes and failures in trying to use her technique. But each one she went through, she got a little better at it....
There was one drawback to it, however. The technique required a fair bit of focus in order to execute properly. She wouldn't be able to use it over and over again in a fight. She had to be careful with it's use, as it didn't hit hard and it wouldn't last long enough to end a fight. But it could give her the advantage with a tactical use of the technique. She mused on this as each of the Bandits fell one after another to her precise strikes. It wasn't going to be much longer until they were all defeated.
Even if they weren't the most damaging attacks at her disposal, they were more than enough to render her foes unable to continue the battle. Soon enough each of the Bandits were on the ground, unable to continue their assault. That left Atsuko to think about the results of her training. Would she be able to use it in future battles? Or would it require more practice? It was honestly hard to say. Only time would give the answer. But already she began thinking up potential improvements to the technique. And what luck, their leader was coming her way now...

The Albino Saiyan returned to her stance, and approached the Leader. Now that she had good framework for the basic variation of the technique, it was time to see if she could make more effective on her enemies. Same as before, she dodged one of his attacks and struck precisely in response. This time, however. She sent some of her Ki into the blow. The aim of the Ki was to spread rapidly throughout the body and render them paralyzed. Not permanently, of course. It didn't seem to have much effect aside from slowing the large man down...
Well, this was what practice was for. The Knight capitalized on his slowed speed and struck his leg, sending Ki into the impact just as she had done before. Now she backed off in order to observe the effects. Same as before, it only slowed him down slightly. What was missing? He unleashed a Ki Beam at her, which she dodged and then rushed him, striking precisely in the neck and then backing off once more. This time it seemed a little more effective, he struggled to use his limbs properly. She needed to keep this up, she'd learn exactly what was needed to use it!
He began to release a barrage of Ki Blasts, the Albino Saiyan moved nimbly between each one, and handily deflected the others that would hit her otherwise. Once more she was closing the distance, and he responded by empowering his kick with Ki. She ducked under the massive blow and struck his leg precisely with both of her hands. That was doing the trick, he lost all the feeling in his leg, which caused him to fall over. More importantly, it lasted a fair bit as well... But he was still able to move with everything else.
She must not have been using enough Ki. If she used too much, it was going to be a costly technique. But it seemed there wasn't much choice in the matter. She waited out the effects of her blow as he slowly recovered and returned to his feet. By that point, the Saiyan had already resumed her stance. She made a small hand gesture for him to approach, which seemed to anger the burly man as he charged forth. He swung wildly, trying his damnedest to hit the Albino Saiyan however he could. But even with her weighted cape...
The Saiyan was just that much faster. Time to wait for the right moment, she was gathering her energy as she dodged each of his attacks. Where was she going to strike him? The neck seemed the most effective area to target. The Knight waited for the opportunity, and struck when the iron was hot. Ki began to spread through his body from the impact and soon enough, he lost all feeling within his body as it fell limply onto the ground. He was done fighting now, even once the effects wore off. The Albino Saiyan stretched slightly...
[Mastering To Give Mercy [V2]]
That was taxing. There was something else that Atsuko needed to practice however, one that wouldn't require a constant strain on her body. She took flight, finding a more secluded spot in order to train it properly. She settled onto a tall mountain, sitting down as she assumed meditative posture. Slowly she began to lift up into the air and hover on the spot. She closed her eyes, what was going to be key about this was relaxing. She needed to be calm, and focused. Luckily she had experience with meditation, so this proved to be an easy enough task to accomplish.
Now... She needed to learn how to hide her true power. She had seen Tau do it several times, always hiding her real strength to only use in a real battle. So what were the principles needed for this? There was one thing to make it easier, Atsuko could sense her own energy. Her first task in trying to suppress her Ki started simple enough, the idea was to not use her full strength so she wouldn't damage the world around her on accident. So she focused on thoughts such as 'I won't use as much power'.
Well... It wasn't really working. Maybe there was more to it. Or maybe it was going to take longer because she had never really attempted this before. But there wasn't much she could do but just sit here and think on it. Atsuko began to shut out the world around her, she needed to devote all of her attention to this... There had to be a way to control her own energy. She was already able to do it in the physical sense, now she needed to do it in more than just that. It may prove useful to hide her energy, as well.
As much as the Knight didn't like the idea, there would be days where she would need to avoid a battle, and she could only do that if her enemies could not sense her. Cambia and Tau both demonstrated how Ki Suppression could be used to accomplish that. They both seemed to have a natural knack for it... What did they do? The Albino Saiyan's breathing had slowed at this point. She tried to use the examples that her sister and the human girl set. Maybe there was some sort of trick to it, and she was going about it the wrong way.
Finally she had felt it, her power decreased slightly. She focused more on that. How low could she take her own power? Slowly, she decreased it further and further, until it was as small as when she first set out on her journey. Then she began to decrease it even further. Now it was barely detectable, of course the Saiyan could still sense her own energy... And it wasn't entirely accurate to say that it was 'decreasing'. Her full power was still there, just hidden away and untapped. Otherwise her weights would probably do her in.
[Mastering Ki Suppression [SU1]]
The Albino Saiyan got back onto her feet and called her full energy back. Either she had the principles down now, or she would have to continue practicing it in the future. Either way, it was time to start the true training she had come here for. She used the same methods as last time, carrying large boulders back to a designated spot, this one more difficult to reach. and then using each of them for practice. There was honestly little of note to speak of. The Albino Saiyan was getting too used to this type of training...
There had to be something more she could do. She turned to cliff climbing next, but it was the same. It had gotten easier, it was just time consuming. The Knight didn't understand what was so different this time. Her weights were still incredibly heavy, even if her body was starting to get used to them now. Was she really advancing that fast? The Albino Saiyan doubted it. But there wasn't much to explain why the training didn't seem to have the same effects as last time. Slowly she reached the top of the cliff, and returned to her feet.
And then she broke off into a run at the full speed she could manage. Well, at least this could still be effective! There were enough shifts in terrain here that she could really put herself to the test, especially if she didn't use flight. So that was exactly what she did, her new training goal was to run all the way around the frozen north. It was a rather monumental task that she set for herself, but it may just be enough to actually help her along in her efforts. Jumping over long drops, running along natural stone walls...
Whatever she had to do in order to keep her momentum. It went on for a good couple of hours, and as she reached the end, she could certainly feel the results of it all. It was a much shorter training session than last time, but she was able to practice several new techniques in the process. They might just be enough to save her life one day, and they could be used to help others... Even if it was shorter, the Albino Saiyan couldn't bring herself to complain about it. The results spoke for themselves, so she turned.
And then she took flight, once more she began to leave the Cold North behind. What was next for the Albino Saiyan? Quite a lot, much had happened within the short time span between now and when she left the Temple she grew up in. And it didn't show any signs of slowing down. No, it seemed that things were only going to grow more hectic. Atsuko wasn't entirely sure she could keep rising to the challenges like this. But she couldn't be afraid, she had to be strong. And she wasn't going through it all alone... Bernael, Tau, Cambia. All of her friends.
She could rely on them. She wanted them to know they could rely on her, too.
