She was truly excited to have came here and yet she was a bit scared as well. Not scared of losing no, but rather of who she had to face. Apparently from what she had heard it was a Earthling. She still had the scars in her memories and nightmares of the last time someone from Earth had entered their realm and threatened them all. It wasn’t something after all any child could easily ever have forgotten. It was a scar in her mind and one the darkness had worked ever so much to keep her safe. Ever since the trials, she had been talking more and more to the darkness, listening to it and having it listen to her. She felt such a close connection to it, it truly did seem so as well, for she had noticed that it had taken a liking to wanting to protect her. Almost like an older brother if she had to say.
She supposed she was just getting a bit of cold feet. “Mother..I hope your watching me, I will make you proud..just watch me.” She would say simply to herself. The only thing she wanted was to have her mother be proud of her. She wanted to help her with everything to make the universe a better place. It just felt sometimes though that she wasn’t doing enough to make her mother proud. Energy was flowing in her and yet she wasn’t positive on one thing, should she stay in her base form perhaps? It would help make the fight go on a bit more and she wouldn’t have to risk seeing something like what the one blonde hair lady had threatened to do before. Truly she felt it was her only way not to risk going through that again.
As she stepped towards the arena, she hadn’t been able to see her opponent yet, however she was still adamant in at least asking. As she noticed a figure beginning to approach the arena, she had chosen simply now to ask. “He..Hello There..wo..would you mind if we kept this fight without using transfomations….I mean..transformations. My mama is watching and I want to show her that I can still fight strong in my ba..base form.” The seven year old would simply try to ask. Despite the stereotype not all demons were complete monsters without emotions. In fact most of them did have emotions and were simply a people just of another realm. That was why she was being polite, because she was raised that way. Despite their differences in morals, that was what demons and humans were, that was why they were so similar.
WC: 450 PL: 60,661 Used ST-1 Shadow’s Vengence
[ST-1] Shadow’s Vengeance Having allowed herself to become a true physical embodiment of the darkness, Nyxosa’s connection with it can sense her danger when physically struck and will actively attach itself to the other from her own very shadow. Draining their power to the abyss. This is treated like a burn to a target and thus deals 5% Damage over the next 3 turns. [This must be activated before being struck, this ability can last for the duration of the thread, however cost a single point of Stamina.] Tech Inspired by Nakiya’s own.
Stamina 2/3 Effects Currently Enabled: Shadow’s Vengence
Griselda had a couple of reasons for coming to the arena. Not only did she have a want to find someone new to teach her now that it seemed people of this plane were more able than those before her but the prize money would last her a long while. Perhaps it was even enough to set herself up a little home somewhere on this new Earth. She came to terms with the fact that she’d need to start her own life anew, yeah. There was something weird about her matchup though as she reminisced over the week before the tournament. The opponent seemed young and, well, as Excalibur put it;
[“Something seems strange about this girl. Careful.”] As she approached the ring the young woman herself could sorta get this weird vibe from her. She didn’t look immediately of threat. But that power she had, well. Griselda didn’t exactly feel comfortable having to face up against her with those three things in mind. As she stepped up onto those many bland looking tiles of the tournament arena these feelings had amplified a good bit. The younger girl would see Griselda slow her advance into her start position once she actually got to lay eyes on the girl. The way she spoke aggravated her to little end on the inside. The young child sounded a bit younger than she looked and seemed to be a carbon copy of her younger self. Those were simpler times. The question she asked didn’t really help the upcoming anxiety the older woman was feeling. She kept up a good look for now, but there wasn’t much more she could keep hidden under her delicate face.
[“Am I right to feel afraid at this point? Her asking about transformations, like it was just something any fighter could easily do.”] The grey warrior asked her sword in the mind before blinking at the small one with her rather foreign looking eyes; Griselda didn’t exactly look in appearance or dress like the average Earthling of today. She had something different about her, lost by the years long ago. One in particular couldn’t really put a finger on what was different. “Oh? Your ‘mama’? Hmmm… Is she around?” The human rather innocently looked around at the stands far aback with gazing eyes. She already knew it’d be a bit hard to spot out of the crowd even if she said yes but an honest gesture it was. The earlier part of the question she hadn’t touched on, and for good reason. Rather than say anything else about it she took a stance and drew Excalibur from her side in a defensive stance. One couldn’t tell very well that she sword was ancient or holy; it seemed to carry the burden of some corruption. A blade no longer pure in its essence. Still, it did shine rather obscenely from the angle. She also wasn’t one to underestimate children. She was the same way when she was a little child. Just a strong as a lot of the top fighters of Earth.
“Are you ready? I’m not going easy on you.” With the blade drawn her power seemed to raise a bit from it but it wasn’t nearly a challenge at this point. That was… until the blade itself started roaring in this aura she wasn’t very familiar with. Her body jerked around from the weight this energy carried and she struggled to keep it steady in this stance. Griselda’s eyes went wide at the spectacle.
“Uh.” She seemed rather confused in her own saving face sort of way, putting most of her effort into holding the holy blade.
Griselda started charging [OT-3] Honor the Lost involuntarily! [OT-3] Honor the Lost - Griselda pours her entire being into the sword or hand of her choice and lets it glow with an intense aura of grey. The power kicks winds up and when the thing unleashes in a slash it rips through the airs with extreme velocity. The large band of grey energy extends out to lash out towards the target, up to however long a distance Griselda needs it be. [100% (70,000) PL Damage] Next Turn:200% (140,000) PL Damage!
Stamina: 3/3, Charging OT-3. Current PL: Full Power, 70,000 (Griselda herself feels like 5,000 at the moment.)

Nyxosa truly didn’t know what to think of this earthling. She was still wary and frankly a bit nervous after he last experience with the monstrosities that they were. Creatures purely devoted to destroying, even going as far as harming their own planets. They were like viruses or rather parasites. The moment they ran themselves out of resources they would expand further into space and who knew how many worlds would suffer before they would learn. It destroyed the point her mother and herself had been seeking. They could restore life to these barren planets ruined by others. Perfected life that wouldn’t simply take away the pinnacles of their success. Take aways the very structure that kept life stable on a planet. That was a lesson no earthling would ever accomplish. Not on their current paths. Not on their current goals. Nothing truly could change the evil of the galaxies, and that was the Earthlings.
“She is somewhere, but I can’t say for sure where. There are so many energies here that it is hard to tell where she could be possibly. Though I don’t want to disappoint her in this fight.” She would say simply as she felt the darkness and shadows underneath her. Warning her to be wary. “I won’t hold back either..” Nyxosa would simply say as she felt it, the pull of energy being generated inside of that blade. She knew better than to simply let herself hold back against a thing after all. She wasn’t dense. Not even a respect bow had been given by the Earthling, however if they were already out to send their full strength..she was going to let it come easily. She had to make sure the attack couldn’t simply knock her out, if she could just weaken it enough, yes that would work. It would give her the edge she needed, or rather the time to think.
“Hmmph.” She would say simply as she noticed her rising the blade. Slowly she began to call on the darkness, mixing it with her own ki as she began focusing her energy inside of her body, she needed to make this count for everything it had. It was her only chance after all to continue this fight. That was if it worked for the better part. It was so weird to have so much simply counting on one piece of a puzzle. Strange and yet...intriguing.
WC: 404 Charging OT-2 Darkness Omega Rising (100% on Next Turn)
“Hey, uh… kid, I don’t know how I’m-” Griselda started trying to explain herself, her stoic face turning into a nervous expression. The young woman caught herself mid sentence though as the blade erupted further with energy. She had to push herself physically to keep the blade steady in front of her. She grumbled under her breath and turned her nervousness into a bit of a scowl. Why, was she getting mad at her sword? Yes. Yes she was. Again the blade’s aura of grey grows and actually begins to fluctuate much like a saiyan’s super form would.
[“What are you doing?!”] The sword seem to stay silent for the moment, not giving a reply to the young woman. If she had the strength to Griselda would probably be violently shaking the sword around like she was shaking a person by the shoulders. Annoyed the woman started shouting to the sidelines.
“Hey! Is there, like… a time out I can take!? My sword’s acting up! No, really, I’m not doing this!” She was getting anxious to the point that salty beads started rolling down her forehead. Not only was it starting to show that she wasn’t exactly 100% comfortable being out like this but it was more obvious that she wasn’t meaning to just unload her full load in a single attack right off the bat. Griselda looked back down to her opponent with that drawn on her face now. She wasn’t hiding it now that she was seeing that girl start to build up something. The young woman wasn’t a stranger to fights, so this seemed to give her harsh dejavu. Like it was something she tried to forget before or was too naive to catch onto.
“Hey, let’s be clear! I’m not controlling this! Well, I mean, I’m holding it. You know what I mean!” This time the sword in her mind made itself clear after she made that statement, the blade filled even further with a sudden sporadic pulse from the aura around her blade, temporarily causing her to lurch forward to try and hold it still. To anyone outside this exchange she’d still just look like she can’t handle the power of the blade.
[“Quiet, this is above you child. I need to make sure you’re not senselessly beaten and humiliated.”] So it was the sword doing it of its own volition. But how, she wondered? Excalibur had never shown this level of power before, especially not when she needed it earlier. Why was it just now that it was able to pull such power from itself? Griselda frowned at it visibly and looked from the sword, to Nyxosa, back to it. [“The kais know why you’ve been pitted against someone so much stronger… So you must find it in yourself to go beyond what you think you can. Believe in yourself. I can’t really control you past suggestion. If you cannot will it, then so be it. I cannot keep you from harm if you don’t try.”] And on the something-time back around to looking at Nyxosa her frown turned a bit more deterministic. She wasn’t angry, but really just took what her sword said to its fullest for once. [“If you think so...”] Slowly a green aura around her started u as she began trying to push past what she thought she had in strength. It was still small at this point, but easily doubled from her maximum as she knew it for years. It was all an interesting development if anything.
Griselda is still charging Honor the Lost, rather taken aback by Excalibur’s power. [200% (140,000) PL Damage] Next Turn:300% (210,000) PL Damage! Stamina: 3/3, Charging OT-3. Current PL: Full Power, 70,000 (Griselda herself feels like 10,000 at the moment.)

Even as Nyxosa watched the much older female, her own face remained stoic as was. Everything she knew about humans had led her not to trust them. They had hurt them all too much. All those who were innocent constantly getting harmed by the species. All ways acting like they were doing everything to help others when in reality it was always to help themselves. They could deny it all they wanted but she had seen it first hand. She had seen first hand their cruelty to even those who helped them. Nothing was going to change them..unless her mother’s experiments could prove to be successful. If so then just maybe they would change. Until then though she had to keep her guard around them, she never knew when they were simply going to hurt her again. So when she acted like it was hard to control the blade she simply found it hard to believe in.
“I really don’t believe you, I find it hard even to trust humans any more even. All they are known for are their constant betrayal and harshness to any other race. I’ve witnessed it even first hand, when we tried to help another one get back home they attacked us. They nearly killed my uncle and were ready to hurt me and my mother...That is why I find this hard to believe that you are truly struggling. Unlike you humans though, I don’t plan to try any form of cheating or deception through this tournament.” She would say with a venom to her voice. The dimension Griselda may have came from may have been one where the humans were oppressed by demons, in this one however demons were essentially harassed by humans, mocked of, even when they came in peace. Slowly and surely she continued to put more and more power in her attack. This fight was not one of her favorites. She wasn’t letting the demons suffer any more from these human’s wraith.
"Wow! We've had quite a handful of exciting matches, haven't we? For those tuning in from home, here's a recap of the winners from each division~ Division 1 had the Elemi Spark going up against the Angelean Sarai. Both fighters did their best in entertaining you guys, but maybe a bit too well~ In a stunning turnabout both fighters were knocked out, but Spark had just too many penalties down for the count, making Sarai the winner!
Our second Division 1 fight was a little hazy on our end, but involved Heizen, the "Jackal Demon", going up against the Saiyan, Artikone! Maybe it was just a bad day for his opponent, but Heizen was the one who moved onto the next round~ Though we really hope to see more of Artikone in the future. Saiyans are a fun bunch, aren't they?
Our Division 2 fight kicked off with the Anubian Sinthe, against the "Demi-God" Suusao! They had a bit of a back and forth with their difference in speed, but Sinthe managed to take home the win with a powerful blast! What a good kitty~ Division 2 of our second fight involved the two hybrids, Duvainel and Marcel. Another hazy fight we're looking into, so we'll be moving onto our other divisions! Division 3 had humans Cleopatra and Galen, who gave quite a show.
These two seemed to know each other, but fought very hard to entertain the crowd~ In the end, Galen was the one who proceeded to the next round. Fight 2 of Division 3, along with most of our other divisions, have yet to end. Though one match you must have certainly been looking forward to, is Elemi Flare going up against the Saiyan Nasu!
Both fighters fought harder than our first Division 3 match, displaying power and speed I'm sure many of you were glad to be here for~ Though in the end, the win had went to the Saiyan Nasu, who will move onto the next round with the other winners! Those divisions who still have ongoing matches, please be aware that time is running out. We hope to see each match end with something excited for our audience's viewing pleasure. Take care!"
Note: The deadline for Round 1 will be Monday, so be sure to get your fights wrapped up.

Wait, what the girl said rose those frowns into a peaked interest. Perhaps the young woman was just… too olden and regressed. If Nyxosa wasn’t a human then what? Griselda’s guess was as good as any stranger’s. The grey warrior was no stranger to aliens and the like but on Earth she only knew of Humans, Saiyans, and a few closer humanoids like Herans and konatsians about. Even then, all of those had very distinct features. Other than the strange palette of colors she seemed like a normal human. That meant… Excalibur was feeling Griselda about to take it the wrong way. The sword tried talking her down but found its voice shut out from her. The perked brows didn’t turn back into a frown though, no, she looked a bit beyond angered at this point.
“Really!? It’s not like telling you this was my doing or not was going to make it any less harmful!” She shouted over the roar of the blade’s stirring attack, gritting her teeth and putting her back into shaking the blade a little. Her power was actually growing as she had done so, making the task manageable. It probably didn’t hold up to the other girl’s scrutiny but at this point Griselda was peeved. “Excuse me!? The only pests known for deception and cheating are demons! Filth of the highest calibre, willing to scrape at anyone else’s emotions to get what they want! I’ve witnessed THAT firsthand!” Then the announcer came in to interrupt. Had… she really been so late as to already get called on for time? Then maybe the sword was right to just go all out first go, huh?
“I was trying to be nice but look at you, trying to sully me and others!” She continued, just standing by with the blade wavering in her grasp. The two of them were being standoffish, weren’t they?
Griselda is still charging Honor the Lost! [300% (210,000) PL Damage] Next Turn:400% (280,000) PL Damage! Stamina: 3/3, Charging OT-3. Current PL: Full Power, 70,000 (Griselda herself feels like 35,000 at the moment.)

“Maybe not, but you should try to at least be honest about it rather than lie and act like you don’t have control because look now as you hold your blade. With it’s shaking as you grit your very teeth. You do have control over it.” Nyxosa would point out toward the human’s control over the blade with their shaking. It was nigh impossible to hide such anymore, she simply didn’t buy that the human had ever been speaking the truth during this battle. No this only furthered her own resolve, her resolve to win this and show the humans one didn’t need to win by cheating or deceit. She was going to show them all the true strength of the demons. She was going to show this human her races’ pride! They weren’t going to keep being the suckers having to pay for their mistakes no more!
“Have you simply been living under a rock then? When is the last time you’ve heard of any demon doing such a thing to anyone recently? Anywhere you go you can hear what Earthlings have done to others, how they have harmed the societies of many. My race even is constantly just used and tossed aside by humans. I will guarantee even most of the people at this tournament are at least part demon. There is a reason humans are watched very suspiciously in these tournaments. Whether you accept that or not I don’t care. You’ve already proven my point. You had been deceitful this whole time trying to get me to lower my guard when you clearly have control over that blade. I think we both know how this collision is going to end.” Nyxosa would say simply without a second chance of friendliness towards this human in her voice.
“Trying to be friendly? Maybe in the beginning, but throughout this battle now I’m positive you were just acting. That’s the only reason to explain why now when you are at the edge of anger that you have fluid control over your blade. It’s over.” Nyxosa would simply say as she powered her ki even further..this was it. The furthest their powers would go. This next round was going to determine this battle.
