Cryonia found herself visiting a fairly landmark in the area, the temple of Orin. It was a good opportunity to study the culture of this planet. More specifically, one of the religions that made up Earth. Cryonia wanted to learn as much as she could about this planet. Partially it was due to her standard procedure in studying the worlds she visited. While studying the planet itself was undeniably the primary point of study for the research for the Elemi Terraforming effort, studying other species was important for her research as well. The biology and abilities of a species could possibly be applied to in ways that could benefit her race. While going into the psychology and practices of a races wasn't important, it helped her understand their thought process more.
Cryona walked through the temple grounds, casually strolling by as she observed the designs of the structure, and the behavior of the people within it. She observe many people practicing peaceful rituals. Meditation seemed to be the primary form of expression that the inhibitants of the temple took. They didn't pay her that much mind, despite the her fairly unusual appearance.
Reaching enlightenment is something that takes up all your attention and requires your full effort. A girl with monochrome hair isn't going to get that much attention. Although I suspect they wouldn't judge how I looked dressed even if they were paying attention. My current attire is more then presentable.
Off in another part of the building, she found individuals practicing martial arts. Which at first glance it seemed strange that a temple that promoted peaceful meditation would also have individuals practicing a combat style, Cryonia knew better then to judge things at first glance. Martial Arts in this context weren't taught as fighting styles that were designed for aggressive combat. It was taught for defense more then anything else. Which was a far cry from the majority of the fighting styles Cryonia had encountered. Still, she did find it a little surreal.
It's hard to believe that martial arts isn't all designed for fights to the death. I've seen so much devastation in my lifetime that I just naturally think of fighting techniques as weapons designed for killing others. It's so strange being in a place like this after everything I've been through. Being in this place almost feels like being in a dream.
Even though her believes did not coincide with the teachings of the temple, she could understand why this would be appealing for a great number of people. The temple did have this atmosphere of mysticism present throughout it. The environment did almost seem otherworldly, which made their spiritualistic believes all the more plausible.
