Having finished understanding the basic concept of chaining together humility without losing one’s pride, Nasu felt he was ready to proceed to the final part of this initial training of his; the comprehension of the three virtues of the Soy School. The first one was the Mental Discipline, in order to develop patient and sense of opportunity and momentum, that required cold blood and constant readiness despite the ill circumstances of the battle field, and he had mastered it by subjecting to a very annoying, almost torture like training under a constant dropping of water on his head. Following that, the second training consisted in some intense meditation, which was completely hard for Nasu to do, due to his personality, but, once again, he managed to overcome his limits and achieve a minimum state where he could proceed to his training. Now there was but one virtue left to be mastered and, while he was completely excited for finishing this initial part of his martial arts quest, he was sort of scared: would he be truly capable of mastering the final virtue? Well… The first one was hard, but he managed to do it in a single day, the second one, however, was completely annoying and difficult and more than once he doubted that he would be capable to understand how humility and pride could walk together in a warrior’s heart, but he managed to do that after struggling. What would come up next? That question made him wonder about a lot of things, and the sense of giving up appeared on his mind, but he quickly shook his head. ”No! I’ve already reached this far! I’m on the brink of becoming a real Soy School disciple! No obstacle will be high enough for me to climb! No obstacle will be unbreakeable! I will blow away everything that stands in my way to greatness and I will keep on pushing myself forward! Always improving and always tending to my pride! I won’t allow it to be shattered to pieces again! And in order to protect this pride of mine, I need to keep on getting better! Not only now, but forever!! Just like my father, I will become the legendary super saiyan three! And the Alliance will once again be respected on the whole universe!” he nodded to himself, feeling resolute.
Then, Nasu flew straight towards the Soy Dojo ruins on the Southern Islands, flaring his ghostly-white ki aura around his body, scratching the skies of Earth on his way, leaving but a trail of energy behind him. He was getting faster! Obviously not a bit as fast as Jarvis, but still, quite a lot! Although his power level training was getting slower, it was a necessary step back in order to leap forward, just like when someone reach a precipice! You cannot just jump it from where you stand, you need to get some distance first, and that was exactly what he was doing. ”This training is far more important to me now than any power gaining training! I’m polishing myself and my skills! I’m going to become an amazing fighter and, with that, no one will be able to compare to me in battle! I will harness all of my potential, thus I will be capable to explore the limits of my power without restriction! My endurance will be enhanced! And they will tremble in fear whenever they meet me on the battle field! I will be able to make those who hurt my pride to fall to their knees and beg for mercy, instead of being at their mercy! I won’t ever forget when that demon boy showed me that he could get half as strong as I’m as a Great Ape! And he is but a demon boy! Nor will I forget how much that blond saiyaness surpassed my power and left me at her mercy! Still… There’s something weird I’m feeling right now…” Nasu frowned his eyebrows as he flew across the skies, folding his arms with a thoughtful expression on his face. ”Why don’t I feel like actually killing them, now? That’s weird… Just days ago I couldn’t think about anything else… Well… I still want to make them suffer and hurt them badly, but, somehow, killing them feels… Cheap?! Why the fuck am I thinking this?! This is complete bullshit! They deserve to die for what they did… But then…”[ Nasu sighed deeply, remembering Bernael’s words. He spoke somehow like his father and part of what he said made him feel bad. What was the difference between Nasu and a saiyan from the Empire? He claimed to be from the Alliance, but, at the same time, he acted as ruthless and cruel as your average saiyan warrior, and that was starting to get to him. This frustration quickly became irritation, and the young saiyan warrior gritted his teeth and tightened his grip on his own arms. ”Shit! This is annoying!! Why am I becoming this soft?! It’s not Empire or Alliance! It’s my saiyan blood! Saiyans are ruthless warriors by birth! I just… I just… Have this rage inside of me! It’s part of me, it’s natural! Why should I deny it?! But then… How will I ever become Overseer of the Alliance, if I’m not willing to do something about it?! I would be spitting on my parents legacy if I were to change the ideals of the Alliance… But I still don’t quite agree with many of them! They are too forgiving, not ambitious, too soft, and this led to their death… How can I find a middle ground without turning it into Saiyan Empire part two?! Dammit!!! I don’t want to think about it anymore! I want to get stronger! I want to take revenge on Atsuko, Arion and Tau! They will all pay for what they’ve done!” he roared to himself.
The young saiyan warrior stopped thinking about such complex matters, as they were starting to become a quite mind-boggling subject and he had other more important matters to be concerned about, like his training. He quickly got inside the secret technological room underground the Soy School and put the second scroll back where it belonged. His father hard-light hologram appeared, with his kind smile, making Nasu feel a little bit nostalgic and longing for his long lost parent. – Nasu! I can already see some progress with your attitude alone! I believe you found a way to understand how pride and humility can walk together, or at least you started to understand how it should work, am I right?! – he asked, with what would resemble an excited tone, limited by what the machine could reproduce. Nasu nodded, sighing and folding his arms. He closed his eyes before speaking, as the little headache he had bothered him. – It wasn’t easy, you know?! Why the heck did you come up with such weird virtues anyway?! – he asked. Natto’s digital ghostl laughed after that, scratching the back of his head. – Well, son, if they are not hard, they aren’t really helping you grow, right?! – he said, chuckling a bit. Nasu, in response, shrugged. – Yeah, I guess you are right! – and with that answer, Natto nodded and pointed immediately to the third scroll. – So, let’s not waste any time! Go study the last one and, as soon as you understand the last virtue, you will be able to start your real training! Those virtues are necessary to allow you to tap into the fullest potential of the Soy Fighting Style! This is what will allow you to understand and apply into practice the concepts such as go no sen, sen no sen and sen sen no sen! But that’s talk for another time! Hahaha! I just get overly excited with it! – and that attitude was a perfect copy on the free-go-luck attitude Natto had many times, making Nasu smile, missing that . – You were quite something dad! I’m glad to be able to learn from you even after you death! – and, with those words, the hard-light hologram vanished, making Nasu feel a little sad, even though that figure wasn’t really his father.
– Okay, now to work! – he said to himself, heading towards the third scroll, grabbing it with his left hand and leaving the ruins. Nasu flew straight towards the shore on the same island that once was the headquarters of the Saiyan Alliance, then known as R.S.A. and sit on the sand. The day was cloudy and cool, which was quite a relief from the head of the wasteland and that annoying blue sky that made him angry every time he looked upon it. ”Gray is better!” he thought to himself as he opened the final scroll, anxious to learn what the final discipline was.”Soy School of Martial Arts.
Reborn Saiyan Alliance Fighting Style.
Reaching this far into the learning of the virtues of my school really makes me proud of you! I finally feel like someone is getting ready to inherit what I worked so hard, with the assistance of my dear friends and the love of my life to create!
When I was in Argavat, I had to fight every day in order to survive! I was but a teenager when I got there, with plenty of innocence inside my heart, and that only made things harder, as Argavat was a vile and evil place. I can’t even account the days that I spent there without being able to gather some food, and the days I got my throat so dry, that I had to drink my own piss in order to get some sort of hydration! Life was rough there and many times I had to find within my soul, strength to battle against my enemies, the one’s I was supposed to eliminate in order to conquer that planet and bring more estate to the Saiyan Empire.
I thought about giving up on my life plenty of times, but my pride as a saiyan drove me to keep on fighting! It wasn’t easy! But this sort of endurance is necessary for someone who wants to reach the pinnacle of power and be called a true master of the arts of combat! Therefore, the third and final virtue of the Soy School is the Physical and Mental Endurance. Doesn’t matter if your body can resist a blazing hell if your mind will break down with a single hit! It’s important that both mind and body are in synch, otherwise, one will boycott the other, and the one to lose it all is you!
If you are willing to undertake such a training, then head to the Fortuneteller’s Desert! This is the most harsh and arid environment on Earth and there you will find the challenge you need to undertake. Three days walking – not flying – there, without sleep, without food, with just a canteen of water. A small canteen, mind you! If you can resist this three days, then I will accept you as someone who has enough endurance to earn the Soy School teachings!
Grand-Master Natto.”
Nasu sighed with that. He was determined to do that, but that seems like something awfully hard. He had endured some nasty shit on the planet he was set to conquer, but, truth be told, he didn’t really starve as he had to quails on eating the natives once they were dead. And his father endured a similar situation, but when he was far younger and far weaker. On top of that, the planet Nasu decided to conquer was a fertile land with plenty of water, while Argavat, from what he had heard from his parents, was an arid desert-like planet that had scarce resources. ”Dad even mentioned that he didn’t quite understand why he was set to conquer such a wasteland…” he remembered about a conversation they had, after he had conquered that alien planet, and after being scolded by both his parents.
Then, he took a very deep breathe and stared at the west, where the fortuneteller’s desert lied. He didn’t want to waste any time, so he immediately flew to his cavern, on Paprika Wasteland, to leave the scroll secured inside of his old spacepod, grabbed the canteen of water he was allowed to take and got ready to leave to the final trail. ”Should I use my weighted amor?!” he stopped to consider that for a second. Well, although he was focusing on mastering the virtues of the fighting style, he could deal with a little more challenge, and that would help improving his power level, even if just a little bit. Truth be told, he was already training far less than he should, although for a very good reason. ”Hmm… This extra training won’t kill me and will be quite useful! I will take the armor!” and so he decided to keep wearing his weighted battle suit and, flaring his ghostly-white ki aura once again, Nasu headed straight to the desert on the far west of the planet.
His final trial was about to start, and he would finally be ready for the real deal! Just three more days!
