Nareli
<Fi, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword>
<Fi, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword>
Name: Nareli
Age: 80,001
Race: Shinjin (Golden Fruit)
Gender: Female
Height: 5'3" or 160 cm
Weight: 140 lbs or 63 kg
Hair Color: Bright blue
Eye Color: Bright blue, same shade as her hair
Identifying Markers: None worth speaking about
Personality: Childish and playful, she tries to remain this way in extreme situations on top of being optimistic in hopes that her positive attitude would rub off onto her allies.
Likes/Dislikes: Demons (full-blooded or otherwise) or really anything coming from Makaii can put her on edge and cause her discomfort. Unless they're cute enough to a point that Nareli becomes obsessed and decides to yoink them away.. That happens more often than anyone representing her would like to admit. Or it would, if she were more active and not in hibernation all the damn time.
Aspirations: As silly as it may sound to some, she wants there to be greater connections between the Kais and mortals. She understands that some secrets may be leaked that should never be leaked, but she would prefer trusting her fellow Kais to a point that she can allow them more freedom outside of Other World than distrust them to a point that most of the time the only people pure Shinjin can interact with are other Shinjin or the guardians. It can be quite hard coming up with a conversation topic after thousands upon tens of thousands of years, you know?

Appearance:
Nareli's near infinite knowledge attained through more of a thousand life times of study and careful observation and her birth from the rare golden fruit earned her a spot as the Grand Supreme Kai despite her young age in comparison to that of her peers. Nareli has bright blue hair with eyes of the same shade and pale skin. She wears a bright blue cloak that has diamond checkers on the inside held around her neck by a diamond pin of sorts. Underneath the fancy cloak is a royal purple sweater that travels down to her thighs ending where her leggings begin. The dark blue legins travel the rest of the way down to her bare feet (covered up by the unusually long leggings of course) with bright blue criss-crosses going through them and all the way down until reaching her ankles. The features that distinguish her as being a Kaioshin born of the golden fruit are pale skin much similar to what you would see on a living more humanoid species, and her light blue hair with a set of potara earrings to match them.
Backstory:
After the previous Grand Kai died, Nareli was born from the golden fruit of the Kaiju tree. Clearly some time would have to pass before she would take the spot that her predecessor had filled. Fortunately, that time would pass quite easily. The Kaoshin spent the majority of her brief childhood studying, studying, and.. more studying. The shoes she had to fill were quite large and this was something she understood even from an incredibly young age. What a time it was to be studying, too. What with the saiyan Kakarot, more popularly known as Goku causing so much trouble for all the evil within the universe. People like him and those that followed the copy paste hero Saiyan helped in teaching Nareli all the different types of people that were out there. Though handling them would have to come from hands-on experience, and that was just something Kaioshin could not have. It would be breaking many rules.. or more like, the entire goddamn rule book. As discouraging as that fact may be, Nareli lived up to the expectations of those around her and gained a massive level of wisdom that was expected of her to have. A quiet, peaceful upbringing and a calm demeanor and now the necessary level of intelligence made Nareli perfectly suited for the role as Grand Kai- and fortunately, this was only after a couple of lifetimes.
Nareli eventually went into a deep slumber for reasons kept secret. Though that hardly mattered as after quite a long time she had woken up and was reunited with old friends, and introduced to new Supreme Kaioshin. It had been an extremely pleasant experience and not one part of her regretted waking up from her deep slumber, but there was work to be done. Work that would once again separate her from her fellow Kaioshin. She hated having to be secretive in general, but even moreso when it was with her allies. This time it wasn’t just to take one hellishly long hibernation, either. Rest assured, she would be returning soon after just one year of being gone. That had to feel like nothing to the other Kaioshin, so hopefully it would feel like she hadn’t ever even left in the first place.

Roleplay Example:
One of two goals during her time away from the other Kaioshin that didn’t have to remain a secret was to find a proper guardian. But despite the almost obnoxious amount of good souls to choose from to take under her wing and train, and despite her being nowhere near picky about it; finding a guardian was easier said than done. She just couldn’t find that one pure soul she could form a strong connection with and receive only good vibes from. Most of the pure souls she met she just didn’t have anything in common with, others she just straight up didn’t like as they didn’t take some of her ideals and aspirations too lightly. She needed a guardian that was heroic and supportive of her despite some of her quirks, but also one that was.. Just a bit violent. It never hurt to have some physically-able allies, especially when you were as frail as Nareli.
Being violent and enjoying combat did not necessarily make someone a villain. It was all on how they acted on their violent urges and who it was at. But Nareli just couldn’t find someone that managed to remain pure while also being able to properly channel their anger. People like that were usually Saiyans, and Nareli just wasn’t a fan of most Saiyans she had met. Not because she disliked them in particular or anything, but your usual Saiyan just wasn’t what she wanted in a guardian. Maybe she was being picky, despite her desperation to ensure her own safety if she decided to interfere in mortal affairs. There were exceptions to certain rules that allowed Kaioshin to go down and stop some planet-destroying event, or at the most warn others about it and help to prepare them for the threat. Self-defense was allowed if necessary, but direct interference without a clear need to do so was against the rules as far as she knows. If all the warnings and aid she was allowed to give did not help, then it was tough luck as much as she hated to say it.
She didn’t make the rules, but she honestly wished she did. Or at least knew who it was that made them in the first place. Some of the rules in place were a bit too restrictive for Nareli’s tastes but there was just nothing she could do about it. Nareli would have to accept that this was just how things worked and try to find what few loopholes there were to help improve the quality of life for some of the Kaioshin. ’Maybe I’m just desperate for a companion..’ Nareli would think to herself with a sigh as she touched down near the Z-Sword plateau. Her shoulders would drop, her arms at her side while she looked down at her feet ,seemingly lost in her thoughts. ‘Interaction between Kaioshin and mortals is risky enough. Being able to tell the future gives us information that’s too risky to go throwing around. If a Kaioshin established too deep of a connection with someone living, they may see their death before it happens and do things to prevent it that would interrupt the natural order of things.. And as much as order can suck, it’s the best thing for everyone in the long run.’ Nareli let out a frustrated huff and crossed her arms.
Nareli knew that- based on her reasoning as to why the rules were the way they were, she was one of the Kaioshin that would likely end up forming too deep of a bond with someone living and just.. Mess everything up, basically. Once she had her guardian though, and more importantly someone to talk to maybe all these thoughts about opening wider communications between Supreme Kaioshin and the living would just leave her alone. Her mind would be at ease at long last if she could just think clearly for once and stop wanting things she knew she could never ever have for the good of everyone else.
