Atsuko had retired to her quarters for the moment, once more she was reading through the countless texts housed on the Lookout. This one in particular detailed the most useful techniques for a Kami. Since it was normally an impossible feat for a single person to keep track of the events of an entire world, the Guardians needed something that could allow them to watch over such a vast collection of life. The exact details as to how the ability came to creation is something that no one can agree upon, but what is known is that it is referred to as the Far-Seeing Art.
Utilizing mental concentration, they are able to produce visions of faraway places. The general consensus is that it requires a specific locale, such as a very tall location. The higher it is, the more effective it is, generally. This ties into the Lookout's orbit over Earth, it's height has been stated between Kamis and their Assistants to be perfect for this art. What followed next was various instructions on how to perform such a skill. The Albino Saiyan became wrapped up in each word, she was going to master this art if she intended to be a Guardian of Earth.
However, she continued reading through the book. It then detailed that despite the fact that with the Far-Seeing Art one can watch over the entire world, they would still just be one person. For this reason, a Kami is encouraged to interact with like-minded individuals in the defense of Earth. And a common method of contact is the means of Telepathy, there was no hindrance of technology to account for, and the delivery of an important message could be nearly instantaneous when you found the target. Using this, a Kami could spot catastrophic events and warn those that work with them.
Like this, responses could be formed to threats all across Earth, all without the Kami ever needing to leave the Lookout personally. The Knight still preferred a hands-on approach for some matters, but she couldn't deny the usefulness of this. Atsuko now had two techniques to master. The Albino Saiyan closes the book and rises from her chair, she makes her way out of her quarters and continues pace towards the library, returning the text to it's proper resting place. The Knight had the perfect spot in mind in order to begin her training of these arts.
So it was that the Saiyan started her ascent of the Lookout, the winding corridors and staircases taking her along the fastest path to the top of the palace. It only took her a few minutes to arrive at her destination, the longer she spent here on the Lookout, the more familiar the structure became to her. The Knight knew it well, like the back of her own hand. This proved to act very much within her favor, after all it would be rather silly if a Kami didn't know their way around their very own home!
Her hands were behind her back once more as she stared out into the land below... "Alright... The concept makes perfect sense, but let's see if I can actually act upon it.", the Knight said to herself. She then closed her eyes and adopted a meditative stance, slowly she began to balance herself on one leg. And then she began to lift the remaining leg off the ground, hovering gently over the top of the palace as she began to focus her inner energies. This was going to be key to channeling such a difficult technique, the Far-Seeing Art would not come easily.
But the Albino Saiyan would spend as long as necessary in order to accomplish the task. She finally began to open her eyes, and slowly her feet touched the ground once more. She was perfectly calm and focused now. Atsuko then begins to concentrate on the lands far from the Lookout. The Knight's breathing rate slowed and all distractions around her, which proved to be remarkably few on the Lookout, were tuned out. At first, nothing happened, other than what one could usually expect from focusing so intensely on a far away object. But it started to work...
The vision started to come more clearly to her. It was as if she was moving without making use of her own body. She was able to see passed the forest that surrounded the lands around the tower. Atsuko wanted to push what she could perform with this, so she began to move her vision towards one of the nearby villages. It was taxing to continue holding it like this, let alone extend her vision farther... But the Albino Saiyan wasn't going to stop with so little, slowly she began to push it even further, coming across more points of interests.
Other villages, towns. Entire cities. Slowly her mind and body were getting used to this sensation. Soon enough the Knight was able to move her vision wherever she pleased in order to observe the world around her. But she wanted to test something, so she lowered her vision down into one of the cities, by focusing on individuals, she was able to hear them speak to each other. It was mostly mundane conversations about their daily lives. But it was something that the Albino Saiyan considered crucial; not only could she watch over the world, but she could hear what targets of interest were saying.
The Knight took a deep breath, and began to end the technique. The world began to shift back to where she was standing, soft blue flames were hovering over the Albino Saiyan's eyes, but they began to fade as the effects of the Far-Seeing Arts did. The Knight smiled to herself, it may need to be practiced a few more times before she could reliably use it, but she couldn't deny the results that came about from this. It was now mostly a downhill venture in order to perfect the art to her needs...

The Knight took a moment to rest, and then she began to concentrate her efforts into performing the Far-Seeing Arts once more, this time her destination was much closer, she was going into the forests below the Lookout. There she found one of the men that acted as defenders of the sacred land around Korin's Tower. The Albino Saiyan focused on him, trying to develop a mental connection... She may have been able to hear whatever he was saying, but at this distance they would be unable to converse, unless she was able to use the art of Telepathy.
The Saiyan dedicated as much of her mental ability as she could manage to the sensation of forming a connection. But it was no easy feat. Despite spending several minutes in attempts to perform this, it didn't seem to be making any progress. But the Knight was determined to make some sort of progress. She would work towards it all day if she had to. These were not things that a Kami could do without. If she wanted to be a true Guardian of Earth, she had to be able to perform the Far-Seeing Arts, as well as Telepathy. There was no other way around it.
Finally, she was able to hear something... A few words, but the man's mouth didn't move. It surprised her a little, but she tried to focus on that particular sensation. The Albino Saiyan noticed that it was starting to come in clearer, these were his thoughts. That was one step of the technique cleared, though she would need to practice it even more... Forming a connection can't take so long, especially if time was of the essence. At least there was no shortage of people in order for her to practice these techniques with.
The Knight did find it to be an invasion of their privacy, but she considered it a necessary action all the same. Atsuko started with something simple. "Can you hear me?", she directed towards him, hoping to sending her thoughts through the connection that she had formed. At first, he made no reaction, outwardly or inwardly. The Saiyan took a moment to prepare herself again. What was missing? She continued her attempts to speak to him via Telepathy, repeating the same question until finally... She got his attention, he responded with yes. The man was visibly concerned, as anyone would rightfully be.
"Don't worry. I mean you no harm. I am... Kami. I hope you don't mind my intrusion, but I must practice this art somehow.", she said to him. He seemed to give an understanding nod. "So the Kami has returned? That is fortunate. Worry not, you have done no harm to me. I wish you good fortune in your endeavors, Guardian of Earth.", he gave his response. So some mortals were aware of there being a Kami? That made sense, she heard a few tales about some people being very protective of what they deemed sacred lands... And from what she could tell, they were all based around this forest.

Having no further need of practicing her Telepathy or the Far-Seeing Arts for the moment, the Knight once more ended the use of the techniques and took another deep breath. "Phew...", she let out in a somewhat exhausted sigh. "Time to rest... I won't be able to make any more progress without resting and meditating on what I've learned.", the Knight stated to herself, then making her way back into the inner workings of the Lookout. The Albino Saiyan navigated her way towards the quarters, and then began to remove her armor.
She set her sword next to the bed, and then she proceeded to climb onto the honestly rather over sized mattress. The Saiyan crawled under the covers and rested her head on the pillow. It felt like her entire body could sink into the bed and pillow... "My word... It's been so long since I've slept in a real bed. And one so comfortable...", she commented to herself. Her mind was taxed due to attempting two very difficult techniques in rapid succession, the fatigue began to set in as her eyes grew heavy. Soon enough the Albino Saiyan fell asleep.
Atsuko couldn't bring herself to worry in the short time that she was awake. If something happened, Arion would no doubt awaken her and make her aware of the situation. Or her own senses would do the job, perhaps. There was nothing left to say, the Albino Saiyan was sleeping soundly... Perhaps for the first time in a very long time indeed.
