Daigo Morro
Name: Daigo Morro
Birth: Age 1567
Age: 19
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Height: 5'10" - 177.8 cm
Weight: 145 lbs - 65.7709 kg
Hair Color: Orange
Eye Color: Hazel
Identifying Markers: His orange hair
Personality: Strong willed, free spirited, and most often an honest person. Traveling is something he does out of curiosity and eagerness to learn, wanting to experience new things while learning whatever catches his fancy. While polite and respectable to anyone he knows or even a complete stranger, if he doesn't like somebody he won't hesitate to state it. He believes in the old saying of 'never judge a book by it's cover' preferring to pass his own judgement once he learns about something, or someone. Because of his rough upbringing and travels, he has more wisdom in him then what his age would suggest.
Despite whatever his parents intentions may have been, his moral compass is more gray than light or dark. He knows and understands the differences of right or wrong, but knows not everything is as simple as it appears to be. Because of that he's not one to simply intervene in things unless he thinks he should, such as simple theft or fights. However that doesn't make him some heartless person nor a machine, he actually has a rather nice heart when he shows it. Daigo has a love of animals and nature, having grown up around few people outside of his family. Despite how he looks or acts, he has a surprising fondness for children as well, likely in due part to his own siblings.
As a martial artist he believes in fighting fairly, and that doing anything otherwise is a sign of disrespect to one's opponent. Daigo chooses to fight calmly in battle and, while knowing emotions can benefit in one's self during a fight, chooses to fight with the least amount of them that he can. Perhaps because of his own beliefs in the martial arts or maybe from his up bringing, he doesn't believe in the old phrase 'the ends justify the means', as achieving a goal is just as important as how you achieve it. He considers Earth his home and anyone that becomes a friend of his, with his lack of them throughout his life, he thinks of as family and would come to their aid without a moments hesitation.

Aspirations: Travel the galaxy, maybe even the entire universe and beyond someday. Earn lots of money and do whatever he wants with it. Desires to become strong enough that he can go back home and beat his father fair and square, as payback for leaving him alone as a kid and attempting to do so for a third time (probably). Maybe start his own Restaurant at some point and try to have a family.
Homeworld: Earth
Allegiance: None
Starting Planet: Earth
Appearance:
Standing at an average height and weight, his physique is slim yet well built, giving him enough muscle over his body to make him powerful but not tamper with his speed. Adorning his head is long orange hair able to reach down just at the top of his back. Often kept in a ponytail near the center of the back of his head, the front of his hair frames his face nicely. Three decently sized strains of hair frame his left side while two frame his right, with three other strains standing up slightly. Looking at his eyes would clearly show hazel adorning them, almost shining if light were to hit them just right. He's rather handsome for the life he's had, having no scars on his body nor face, making him look charming to the opposite sex; possibly even the same as well.
His normal attire, a Chang quan uniform, consists of a black short-sleeved shirt going below his waistline while remaining above his knees. Normal sized black pants adorn his waist and below, loose enough for plenty of room but not so much as to look baggy, with a black cloth belt wrapped around his waist and tied off at his left side. On his feet usually reside a pair of black tai chi non-slip slippers, made of cotton with rubber soles, for practical use while remaining comfortable. Underneath the uniform he wears a black tank top, while for accessories he ties his hair back with blue string, and wears a long sword on his back in a brown sheath with a black strap going from his left shoulder to the right side of his waist.
Backstory: Born in Mount Paozu by a martial artist named Xiao Morro and a witch, one Anastasia Morro, whom wanted to have a family and raise it in peace. Both wanted their child to learn their respective craft, bickering over the subject and before long coming to the realization that, while they knew what they wanted him to be, it was their child who had the final say in his own life. With that point in mind, they decided to teach him together, both martial arts and magic, as well as normal education. Being first time parents the first few years were....rocky, to say the least. From the lack of sleep they both got more than once his father broke a bone or two by accident, and rebuilding their house every few months became the norm thanks to his mother's magic misfiring.
Gradually they got the hang of it, and slowly were able to start teaching him normal things at first; science, math, history and other subjects. Only at age four did they start teaching him their subjects; martial arts and magic. His dad's teaching style was harsh, more so given he was teaching his son, but it was because he saw a little talent in him that he was harsh. At the other side of things, his mother's teachings weren't nearly as harsh, but a lot slower. Sadly unlike in the martial arts he didn't show much talent at magic, if any really. What took his mother days to learn at his age took weeks for him, at first they thought he couldn't even use magic until well after a month of her teaching him.
Once every year however his father would leave and attend several tournaments, some legal and others not so much, during that absence his mother took the time to try and improve his magical abilities as much as she could. At roughly age six, with two years of martial and magical training under his belt, his father got the greatest idea he'd ever have for training him; leave him stranded, miles away from home, without anything but a pair of pants, and let him find his way home. Naturally his mother was against the idea, but he managed to convince her by saying he'd watch him from afar everyday to make sure nothing life threatening happened, which was of course a lie. Instead of keeping watch on him, he simply trained away from their home a few miles away everyday until he came home and gave false information to his wife. So, despite being six and alone in the wilderness, he managed to find his way home three months later.
The very first thing he did when he saw home was start crying and run to his mother. She was very happy to see her son again, and very proud that he made it back all by himself. When he asked about his father and why he'd left him all alone, she told him he was watching over him the whole time, and that if anything really bad happened he'd have stepped in, blissfully unaware of the fact it was a complete lie. Once his father came home from training he hugged him and cried, thanking him for watching over him like a guardian angel. He felt a tinge of guilt after hearing that, but kept his resolve that it was all good training. When it came to martial arts, sadly his father was a martial artist first and an actual father second, even to his own son.
Over the course of the next few years his training and education went smoothly, steadily progressing with his martial training and despite his lack of talent, coming along well enough in magic. Around ten years old his parents were expecting one or two more children and once the time came, his father flew them most of the way to the nearest city before pulling a capsule out and flying in a vehicle the rest of the way. That was the first time he'd ever seen anything outside mount paozu, or mount pao as he liked to call it. He got to see many new and wondrous things that day, including what babies looked like. Anastasia had given birth to a pair of babies, a boy and a girl, soon enough they were trying to decide on names.
Weeks passed by before they were able to return to their home in mount paozu, but when they did, not only had the babies been given names but Anastasia was in great health, almost better than before she went to the city. They'd decided on Akiko for the little girl and for the boy, he was named after their father. It was a great time for celebration, but unlike the first time they now had experience on their sides, along with a curious big brother. Over the course of the first couple of month's things were rocky, but after enough time passed everyone got into a sort of rhythm. Before the year would end Xiao started to teach Daigo about ki and how to control it, use it in basic ways before trying to move on to more advanced parts. Unknowingly however his parents had sparked a curiosity inside of him, not just of his new siblings but of the world itself.
At age eleven his father took him on a camping trip, one complete with tents, s'mores, and wienies even. Waking up after the first day of camping he came to realize it was all a trap; a dirty one at that. He was alone in the wilderness again, even further than the last time years ago, with nothing but his pants and shirt. Unlike last time however he was more prepared, better trained, and already started off better than before by having an actual shirt. Another thing he had unlike before was knowledge in ki, one such part being able to sense it very well for his age.
Daigo figured his father was somewhere near by, just laughing his butt off, but he was going to have the last laugh. Once he found him he was going to sneak up on him and give him the fright of his life, but there was a small problem with that plan; he wasn't around. That wasn't to say he didn't sense him, on the contrary he'd sensed him out along with his siblings, mother, and even villages around mount paozu. His father just happened to be miles away from him, possibly even a few miles from home in the opposite direction at that. Instead of him watching over him he wasn't even near the same part of mount paozu, but he gave him the benefit of the doubt; probably just wanted to spook him on the first day or two.
It wasn't until the first week passed that he realized the truth, that he'd actually been left alone miles from home in the wilderness, like he thought had happened the first time. Once that realization dawned, he started to question if his father had actually watched over him years ago either. He knew his mother wouldn't have lied to him about it, for that matter she wouldn't have even allowed it in the first place, but if he'd lied to her....that would have explained it. Coming to the realization that the person he thought of as a guardian angel at that time years ago was anything but started to anger him, to the point he was already formulating a plan to get back at him for it and then some. He'd decided that he'd train himself harder than ever before while making his way back home, and once there, really give his dad a freight.
Over the span of half a year he moved towards home slowly while training like he'd never trained before. Gradually his ki sensing became better and within no time at all he learned how to suppress his ki as well. Not only that, but he began to learn how to really use it, able to push it around to make the air move, a little at first but gradually he got better at that. By the time he'd managed to get back home, his plan for revenge formulated and ready to go into action at any time, all he needed was his target. Once he caught sight of his house, the first person to come into view was his father and as he was right outside, it was time for action.
Yelling dad and running over to him, he acted like he was coming to give him a hug after such a long time. Instead of a hug, once he was close enough he shot his ki up as fast as possible while throwing the hardest punch he could at his dad. Taken aback by the sudden rise in power, his father put his guard up only to see the punch fall short by just a few inches. The moment he lowered his guard the ki came into effect and sent a powerful blast of air right at him, sending him into, and then threw, a tree near by the house. "That was for leaving me alone in the woods miles from home....TWICE!" he shouted at him, before running inside to see his mom and siblings after so long.
Despite the sudden attack, and the headache from going head first into solid oak, he was pleasantly surprised by the results of the training. Daigo showed more promise than he originally thought, and a grin was plastered all over his face, that was until he heard his wife shrieking at what their son likely told her. He was a man who didn't fear many things, but one of the things he did fear was his wife, for good reason. Over the span of two months if he tried to train any of the kids, or even train himself, a lightening bolt would strike him, and after the seventh time he started to learn his lesson; not fast enough though. After his trust was broken he started to slack on his martial training for some time, but gradually he'd gotten back into it, though he kept an attitude whenever he'd train with his father.
Over the span of the next few years his magical and martial skills both improved considerably. With siblings he was able to finally practice with somebody other than his parents, so he'd practice with his brother an sister everyday, sometimes even help them further their training along by teaching them himself every now and then. Soon enough they were catching up to him though or even out classing him altogether. At just six years old his little brother was already above him with magic, not by much but enough to show, while his sister was already catching up to him in martial arts. Both had a lot of talent in specific things, his brother clearly gifted with magic but with little talent in martial arts, while the opposite was true for his little sister.
There was no doubt in his mind that one on one he could beat them easily enough, but if they came at him together they could more than likely beat him. He even thought more than once if they worked together they'd be able to beat their father even, but if it was possible the man never let it show. At sixteen he heard talks of a camping trip once again, just father and son like the last ones, knowing exactly what that meant. While he didn't have a problem with it at that point, long having since become able to fight just about anything in mount paozu, he wasn't looking to wake up half naked or possibly even completely naked. Instead of letting that possibly happen, he decided to one up his dad and really stick it to him.
The night before the supposed camping trip would start, he gathered up a small stack of clothes, put them into a bag and planned to leave. While writing a note saying he was leaving, his siblings had awoken for different things; his brother wanted some milk and his sister had to use the bathroom. When they started to ask questions half asleep he figured at the very least he could tell them, figuring by the time they'd be able to say anything he'd be gone for hours. Once he got them settled back into bed, he said he'd visit them sometime and shortly after finished the note. Daigo knew his mom would be sad about what he was doing, and silently asked for forgiveness, but he none the less planned to go ahead with it.
Leaving his home of his own will for the first time, he did it to get back at his dad, but ultimately it was just an excuse; a means to an end. Deep down he wanted to leave, see new places and explore the vastness of the world. He'd never forgotten when his siblings were born, the flashing lights of the city and all the people, the giant buildings and flying vehicles of all shapes and sizes. That day sparked a curiosity in him and since then it had only grown, he wanted to know what else was out there, what other people were out there. Thoughts of exploration and discovery, of adventure and action thrilled him, gave him a kind of excitement he'd never known outside of it; and it made him giddy just thinking about it.
As he bid his home farewell, the progress of time marched on and before he knew it, three years had went by him. He'd seen many things in those years, but he knew there was still so much more to discover out there. During those years to make ends meat when he wasn't in the wilderness he took part time jobs at restaurants, whatever position was open he usually took. Daigo had also learned just how much his training actually did come in handy outside of fighting giant beasts, more than once having dealt with punks. The only burning question that remained on his mind day after day, week after week though; where would he go next?

Roleplay Example:
Having been the last one left at the restaurant after closing time, the manager left the keys with him to lock up once he was done cleaning up the kitchen. Wanting to make sure the kitchen was spotless he'd taken more time than was really necessary and cleaned it from top to bottom, with the time being late at night thanks to that. Washing up a bit before leaving finally, he turned off all the lights and preceded to lock it up for the night. It wasn't until he'd locked it up that he realized what he'd gone an done, without knowing the managers address he couldn't give them the keys, which meant he'd have to come in early to unlock the place. Daigo got up early most days for his morning training before work, but because of his staying late he'd now have to skip that to open the restaurant up; brilliant move on his part.
Scratching his head in frustration, he figured the best course of action would be to head straight back to his place and get to bed as quick as he could. With any luck he could get in some light exercise and a quick shower before having to get to work, without luck..... he'd barely manage that shower in time. Either way he knew he had to get going and started on his way home, or what passed for the home of a drifter. He'd been staying in that city for close to two months, and had thought about moving on again to his next destination, whatever that was. Thinking about it he'd saved up enough money that if he wanted to he wouldn't have to worry about sleeping outside for a good while without a job, and meal wise he could just make it appear with magic.
Taking his time to get home, thinking a nice walk would calm his mind some before having to rush home, he heard a rustling from a near by alleyway. He figured it was likely a animal getting into a trash can or maybe some robber thinking he was an easy mark, needless to say he wasn't all that worried. After all the time he spent traveling around the last few years he knew well enough that he could take the majority of people on the planet with his pinkie. Anyone he couldn't or that was on his level wouldn't have been robbing people in alley's either way, but he could always just sense them, so that had something to do with his calmness. The only weird thing, he thought, was that there appeared to be three people in the alleyway and people ganging up to rob one person wasn't common, at least in the town he was in.
Once he actually reached the entrance of the alleyway he saw three people alright, two guys and a girl, and in stereotypical fashion they were mugging the woman. He wasn't one to jump into things but aside from the fact it didn't take two people to rob somebody, least of all a normal person, he wasn't a fan of women being mugged in the middle of the night. To add to the muggers misfortune, he somewhat knew the girl, having seen her at the restaurant he worked at a few times. All it really took to grab all three's attention was a simple cough, but it was enough. "I'm just going to make this simple, let the girl go and that'll be that. Don't let her go, and get your butts kicked by a cook, who's younger than you two." He told them with a calmness that was somewhat eerie, given the odds were against him and that they were armed.
Needless to say the men didn't take him at his word, even got a genuine laugh out of it. Thinking it was just somebody who thought about playing hero, one of the men brought a gun out and pointed it at him in a threatening manner. Once a gun was pointed at him, they figured he'd turn tail and run, but instead he gave them quite the opposite reaction. "If you want to threaten someone, don't point a toy gun at them junior." Came from his mouth, the last word a bit of sarcasm in it. While he knew most people would run from a gun or fear them, he'd never really had much fear of them. He moved more than fast enough to dodge bullets, though that made it seem like they were somewhat a threat to him, so if anything he'd just catch them.
When he more or less openly mocked one of them for having a gun, even calling it a toy, they thought he might have had a screw loose. The other pulled his own gun out and cocked it, pointing it at Daigo ready to shoot him and still he was unfazed, remaining unmoved with a calm look on his face. Truthfully the men were a bit unnerved by him, more so by how calm he was despite having two guns aimed at him from such a short distance. When he finally moved something it was his hand and he gave a simple gesture, a motion with his hand saying to 'come on' and then they felt like he was just treating them as some joke. Having forgotten about the woman for the time, the pair aimed their guns at him and started firing point blank at him, not about to let somebody that cocky treat them like a joke.
Once the bullets started coming at him he showed them just how far away he was from them, catching each bullet with his bare hands like it was nothing. When their guns were empty, they were shocked to see him still standing without even a single hole anywhere on him. Starting to open his hands up, the bullets started to slowly fall onto the ground one by one, and once the realization of what was falling out of his hands hit them, they quickly soiled themselves. The very first thing they thought was they were dreaming, but the chills that ran up their spines told them otherwise, which gave way to absolute fear and terror, that they had just fired at what could only be called a monster in human form. Once the fear an terror set in, they started to bolt from the alleyway like lightening, shoving the woman to the ground and starting to scream as they ran.
Not wanting to let them get away, and prevent them from making anymore noise then they already had, before they could really utter a single sound he had knocked them both out cold by delivering a quick chop to their necks. One of the better benefits of his training, he could move so much faster than normal people it wasn't even funny, though he could move faster then most vehicles or at least the ones he knew of. Taking the two by their collars he dragged them over to the side of the alleyway and propped them up against the wall, then went on to go look at the woman to see how she was. Upon inspecting her she seemed to have passed out, though he wasn't sure at what point she did. He thought about the situation and when she could have passed out, and it was then he actually thought about the actual situation.
Daigo had said he was a cook, had literally caught bullets with his bare hands, and moved faster then their eyes likely could keep up with. He could already feel the news of someone having done what he did spreading like wildfire within the city, and that wasn't a good thing for him. Before he'd thought about if it was time for him to leave the city and continue on his travels, and after what he'd done, he thought it was definitely time for just that, otherwise he could end up in god knew what situation if he stayed around.
