"Hellooooooo~ If there are any creepy bug creatures come on ooooooooooooout!" Aayla called out into the forest as she carefully walked through the brush. She wouldn't be so unprepared this time in the event that this Blood bug thing did show up again! She had been rather smart! She had gone out and bought herself a bat! No not an animal, a hard, aluminum baseball bat! That would definitely do the trick to beat the guts out of that bug if it showed up again!
She really, really hoped that it didn't though, as he wasn't the one she was actually out here looking for... Nope, her mission was to make it across the forest to the spot where she had passed out. Someone had saved her and brought her to the hospital after that attack and she wanted to thank them. Of course she knew the likelihood of meeting whoever it was in the same spot was near impossible... but she figured the gesture would be appreciated by someone regardless.
She was travelling this time with a backpack, stocked so full of kami knows what the bag seemed about ready to burst! It was getting to be pretty heavy too, so Aayla hoped that she didn't run into any undo trouble...
Thankfully, the most she had run into in the forest was a deer running away from her and her mighty bat. She sighed in relief as she reached the clearing, letting herself sink to a seated position.
"Thank Kami it wasn't there..." She said as she took off her backpack and set it down next to her. She stretched her arms high up above her head, yawning widely before letting herself flop back down onto the grass, her arms at either side of her as she looked up towards the blue sky, smiling faintly as she did so.
Planet Vegeta, it was quite glorious. It's surface not covered in soft grass or beautiful rivers and oceans but battle scars and ruins. It hadn't been the best maintained since the young prince left for Earth all so long ago. If only he hadn't, if only things had been different. What if he become the one his mother had expected him to be? What if? --- At the moment the young Prince found himself amongst the throne, sitting as he had two elite soldiers to his sides. It was quite unusual for him to have guards but he had grown quite accustomed to it. The young prince had a change of attire as well, he wore a breastplate with shoulder guards and a long cape. It had been attached by two buttons with the saiyan empires logo on it. It was definitely a change for the young warrior. At the moment, Athren had countless warriors at his disposal, he could do with them as he pleased and none would argue. Upon his royal positioning he was able to look down upon his whole race and see their flaws, they were no better than the Earthlings he had seen in West Capital roaming around due to the request of their government. The Saiyan race wasn't as strong as he thought because they had all listened to one man, and that man was himself. "Zaleio, I want a report on the current situation regarding the Planet trade organization." The prince demanded of one of his informants in front of him. Zaleio had been the one to train Athren, the one he spent most of his time with as a child growing up beside. He was a well respected fighter of the saiyan race and was even friends with the previous ruler, the queen. They had both spent a great amount of time and effort into raising Athren into being the most brutal warrior possible and they had both failed miserably. It was funny how that worked. "Yes Sir, The current situation goes as fol---" It was almost instantly that Zaleio had been cut off, it wasn't because of an intruder or some immediate threat breaching the throne room, no. It was because some Earthling girl decided to yell at the top of her lungs while Athren took a slumber in a branch in a tree. He didn't wish to end up sleeping, it had just kind of happened.
Slowly, Athren's blue eyes opened as he heard the voice of a woman yelling through the forest. "Seriously..?" Athren mumbled to himself quietly as he began to scan around his environment. He brought his hands up to rub his eyes gently, he wanted to get back into the real world as quickly as possible. He didn't know if this woman was a threat or not, hell. He didn't even know if it was a woman! It could've been anything, though he was positive he was about to find out as it sounded like she had been walking towards him. ~This is new.. Falling asleep in a tree..~ Athren though to himself. At first, Athren took a branch and leaned his back against the trunk for some time to think, time away from training and his ship. Yet he found himself easily falling into the temptation of sleeping. He stressed his body too hard and too often and he couldn't fight it. His body demanded that it get more rest, so it got it. He didn't have a choice in the matter or he wouldn't have fallen asleep. It didn't take very long but the woman had walked into Athren's sights. He had recognized her instantly. It was the woman he found injured and took to the hospital, she had been completely out so he had known she wouldn't know him. Though Athren couldn't understand why she'd come back, come so close to the place that he found her at. It didn't make sense. When Athren's ocean blue eyes landed on the bat she had brought with her he almost broke out in a chuckle. Did she really expect that to do anything against what was out in the world? Powerful fighters like saiyans and demons? It'd break upon hitting his skin. It didn't even have a chance to damage him, foolish girl. As she walked directly underneath him Athren remained quiet, he was curious as to what she was doing there. He didn't find any reasonable causes for her to be travelling there. As far as he knew, the direction she was walking was wilderness for quite a ways. Surely, she didn't live out here, did she? At this point in time, the young prince was bound determined to find out.
Though, he didn't intend for it to be creepy. He had lifted himself off his branch and flew slowly behind her. He attempted to keep out of sight the best he could but if she spotted him he wouldn't attempt to hide further. He'd simply land and begin asking her questions. He had been curious since the day he met her why she had been that rough, he wanted to know if somebody did that to her and who it was. Maybe they'd offer him a challenge he wanted, maybe not. Regardless, he'd have to get there first.
If things had gone well for the prince and she didn't notice him. He'd land by her head the second she had laid down, she most likely would have been able to catch him in her vision just as he made his descent. His boots hitting the soft grass with a light tap. Instantly, his arms crossed against his heavy weighted gear and his scouter began to make noise as it automatically began to scan her for her power level. "I'd ask if you came for a rematch, but there isn't a chance in hell you'd have smiled like that if that were the case." He had said this as he noticed her faint smile briefly. "Tell me woman, What brings you out here? I know that you know, It's dangerous." With that being said, Athren went quiet. Word Count: 1,022 Heavy Weights Equipped.
Aayla would have been so comfortable just laying there for the whole rest of the day! The sun was still so bright and warm here in this little spot. However, it only took a minute before a shadow was caste over her face. Her cheeks went bright red as she tilted her head backwards, curling her fingers tightly against the bat that was only a few inched from her hand.
'Oh no it's back... what do I do what do I do what do I dooooo!!' She thought to herself in a panic. Before her eyes even managed to land on athren's figure, or even make out the fact that the man speaking was nothing like blood, she swung the bat upwards towards him, aiming to hit him... anywhere!
The bat collided with Athren's chest plate with a loud CRUNCH, only, it wasn't Athren that went crunch. Instead, when Aayla pulled the bat back down, she noticed that it looked like an elongated crushed pepsi can! The bat had literally crumpled in on itself upon impact!
She quickly sat up from her position, spinning around quickly and looking up into the face of... a man? so it wasn't that blood... bug monster thing? A sigh escaped her lips in relief, but then she quickly gasped at the realization of what she had done.
"Oh Kami, I'm so sorry! I thought you were something else!! I know it's dangerous out here but I... you see." She paused as she laughed nervously, dropping the bat aside and quickly scampering over to her backpack. She unzipped it, releasing a fresh smell of warm, baked goods as she did.
"Well... I ended up passing out here the other day and I... was looking for the person who helped me. I wanted to thank them but... I doubt they'll come... It's such a strange place to be. I just had to try though, just incase."
Well, the saiyan prince didn't expect the greeting he had received. Though it was his own fault in the end, he managed to startle her and clearly she was in an uncomfortable terrain, she was most likely expecting whatever had hurt her previously to return, though this wasn't the case in this situation Athren received the same treatment that her attacker would have. Though Athren would have had plenty of time to react he didn't even bother to move, she had swung a baseball bat at his torso and it slammed against his body. His right eyebrow arched curiously as it bent against his figure. ~So that's how I'm treated after helping this girl? These earthlings are unpredictable.~ Athren thought to himself as his ocean blue eyes shined lightly as they gazed upon her.~Maybe I should have approached that different?!~ He thought to himself as the circumstances had ran through his mind, it wasn't exactly the smartest move on his part but at least nothing major had happened. She wasn't trying to blow him up with any kind of energy attacks, so that was a solid plus. It didn't take her very long to apologize after she realized what her actions were, it was quite amusing to the young prince and his face would have been covered by a light smirk. "It's fine." He said calmly as she finished her brief apology. "It'll take much more than a bat to put me down.. Though, I highly doubt that would work against whatever roughed you up to begin with." Athren said in a tone of confidence, he could tell by his scouter that this woman was above average power level, much higher than the average human. Whatever it was that hurt her, must have been something impressive to human standards. She then explained her reasoning for being there and Athren sighed lightly, though an amusing thought came to mind. He'd toy with her a little bit about her saviour, she didn't know it but he was standing right in front of her. "Your saviour? Yeah, I saw him pick you up and take you away." Athren paused for a moment to build some light suspense and see what her reaction would be to all of this. Though, before he got into any questions Athren would've changed the subject to something else, something to where he asked the questions. He was curious after all, what exactly beat her up?
With Athren's posture firm and sturdy he'd begin to speak once more though at this moment a beautiful smell of baked goods would have crossed his nose. He was a saiyan and he had quite the appetite. If she had offered him anything he'd probably devour it all on her, which wouldn't exactly be the 'nice' thing to do. Regardless his ocean blue eyes at this point would have scanned her from head to toe as she dug through her back pack, surely if she glanced at him she'd catch him doing so. She definitely wasn't an ugly girl, she was quite pretty though he wouldn't say it aloud. "What exactly happened to you anyway? It seems strange for something to just attack you way out here and you don't exactly seem like one to start a fight. So fill me in, will you?" With that being said Athren would have went quiet to allow her to speak, surely she'd entertain him with a story and give him some answers. He really wanted to know who, what and why? Nothing from the scene of her injured body laying on the ground added up at all, there wasn't anything else around but her. At the moment Athren's scouter wasn't detecting anything else either, so surely whatever it was wasn't around any more neither. At the moment, Athren had thought this girl to be slightly naive though that was a simple first impression. It was a long shot to return to a place where you were last to bump into a complete stranger, hell. Athren could have left here without saying a word and she wouldn't have had a clue that it was him who rescued her. She was taking a LONG shot in the dark but he assumed that it was paying off, both of them were together now and she would get her chance to thank him. Surely, she wouldn't get the answer she would expect. Athren didn't do it to be thanked, he didn't have a clue as to why he did it but something about leaving her there had just seemed wrong. Maybe Atsuko had rubbed off on him a little bit, maybe her 'help' people talk got to him? Athren shook his head lightly as the wind ruffled his hair around. ~You're a saiyan Athren, that wasn't it. You don't 'help' people out of kindness. That just isn't how we operate.~ Athren would be thinking as he tried to shake that concept from his head. Regardless of all this, Athren was now all ears and his attention was fully on this girl, who knew where it would go. He could spent the next five minutes there or the whole afternoon. This depended on multiple factors though, would she offer him any baked goods or not? He didn't know but he wasn't going to refuse if she did! All in all, this day could potentially turn out to be a great one. It wasn't very often that he had the chance of eating baked goods, he was quite a basic meat and potatoes kind of guy and that was because the land provided those for him and they didn't take much effort to harvest, not only was this a factor but the saiyan prince couldn't cook overly well. He had the basics down and that was about it, anything that took time or real effort just wasn't suitable for him. He usually just ended up burning things on high heat, though maybe today he'd get spoiled. He'd have to see where this went. Word Count: 1,003 Total Word Count: 2,025
Aayla gave a nervous laugh as the man in front of her stated that it would take more than her bat to hurt him... or that Blood creature. He was right, if her rainbow hurricane technique wasn't enough to hurt it in the slightest, what was she expecting an old fashioned bat to do? Well, he was some soft of bug so she really hoped it would squash it... or do more damage than it had against the man with a tail in front of her.
Man with a tail...
Her heart skipped a beat for a moment as her grip tightened around the bag of goodies she had brought. There was no way this could be the same man that had destroyed her village... her brother told her that he was dead, but this guy was the same as him in the sense that he had a tail that looked like a monkeys. 'It's not him... you can't go assume everyone with a tail is involved...' The girl had to silently tell herself. She had to take a deep breath to steady her fear, though her grip on the bag didn't waver. That was until Athren mentioned seeing the person who saved her.
Her earlier suspicions were wiped from her face as she looked at him in awe, running up to the saiyan as if closing the gap would make any sort of difference.
"You saw him? So it's a boy? Do you know where I can find him!?" She asked excitedly, probably getting a little too close to Athren for comfort in her excitement over finding the one who had helped her. All of these sweets were meant for them after-all.
Her energy slowly began to die down a bit as Athren asked what had attacked her, and how she had been involved. Her cheeks turned pink as she brought the bag up to cover her embarrassment.
"Oh... that well...I was taking a walk in the woods... I wasn't exactly this far out when that thing came attacking me. It's a big bug like creature with this long pointed tail... I guess it calls itself blood and it's been the cause of a lot of trouble lately... Apparently a whole village is missing because of it. I don't know what it was doing here but it kept saying that it wanted to fight me. I did what I could but... see I have this sickness that keeps me from using my ki too long, or properly so... I didn't exactly stand very much of a chance against it. The best I could do was blind it and fly away... Anyways... that's what happened! and here... this is for you... as an apology for hitting you with the bat... " She was completely oblivious to his eyeing her or her bag of treats, her thoughts having been way too scattered to notice anything.
Something had seemed to disturb the woman, Athren wasn't sure what it had been but he assumed it had something to do with him. Whether it be something he had said or the fact that maybe she was just catching onto the fact that he was a brutal saiyan warrior, whatever the case may be Athren wasn't going to act up on it immediately. He wouldn't question the woman on it for a few simple reasons, the main one being he didn't want to make her feel any more uncomfortable than she already seemed to be. He wanted this conversation to go smoothly and well, he really didn't want to go into detail about the saiyan history or how some of them weren't like the stereotype that Earthlings had set for them. He wanted to focus on her questions and making the best of this time, he wanted it to be enjoyable and amusing for the two of them. It might be challenging to accomplish but Athren assumed he could make it happen if he stayed in a lightly humour. Almost immediately after she took a deep breath she had closed the gap between the two of them, she had gotten awfully close to him and it would have made Athren slightly uncomfortable if she wasn't a woman. "Uhm.." Athren mumbled as she asked him another questions regarding the situation. "Uhm.. Yeah I saw him." His right hand than came up to his head to scratch lightly, he wasn't sure how to keep the entertainment value of this situation going without instantly revealing that her hero was standing right in front of him, though it hit him after a short pause of silence. What he blurted out was quite random and would have been very unexpected. He thought she was pretty and that had a good part in this, not only that but the fact that he wanted to see her reaction to his statement. "Kiss me and I'll tell you."He said in a soft, friendly tone of voice. Hell, He couldn't believe he just said that. ~Really Prince, This is what you resort too?! Gah, What did that accident in the photo booth do to you?! What did this planet do to you?! Unbelievable..I'm supposed to be a strong, mighty warrior and here I am asking for kisses. Pathetic.. Where's my damn pride?!?~ He thought to himself as he would have awkwardly stood there for a moment before getting to his next topic, though in the time being his cheeks would have turned a very faded shade of red.
He had heard her discussing what had attacked her, yet it didn't really add up in his mind. A random creature that wiped out a village, attacked her and vanished into thin air? Athren believed her but it was a hard thing to put together. ~Blood Eh? Hm. I'll have to keep my eyes open for this thing.~ He thought to himself before he began to speak. "Sounds like you got quite lucky then, didn't you? I'll have to keep my eyes open for this thing then, If I spot it. I'll erase it from existence and give it one for you. Alright?" Athren had said this with a reassuring smile on his face. In regards to the lucky comment he had thought she was lucky to survive the attack, if this creature had wiped out villages previously surely it was an impressive hunter and with it getting the jump on her like that she was lucky to escape it's grasp. As for the rest of it, he had meant what he said, if it was so eager to fight he'd challenge it and hopefully end it. Though Athren's reasoning would be for himself to get stronger it would have gone a little bit deeper than that, though that was something for another day. He didn't want his feelings about the planet and his past coming out right now, especially not to a woman he had just met. That would be much too improper for a saiyan. During this back and fourth dialogue she had also extended the bag of goodies towards him for an apology for slamming him with the bat, he couldn't help but chuckle at this as she really had nothing to apologize for."You've got nothing to apologize for, if anything I should apologize to you. I didn't mean to startle you like that." With that being said he'd pause for a moment, his words were calm and truthful. He was actually being quite the nice guy, he didn't ever think he'd fit the bill for that role but than again he was going soft. He'd lift his right hand up and stop the bag from advancing any closer towards him. "I'll only have some if we're sharing, otherwise... I'm not interested." He said this with a faint smile, his ocean blue eyes would've attempted to stare into hers. Though he claimed he wouldn't be interested this one was a lie, he was interested. He was a saiyan after all and they had HUGE appetites. They could eat nearly anything, even raw animals didn't damage their digestive system or cause health problems for the fighters. It was honestly a blessing, the amount of food he could devour was unmatchable. At this moment he'd await to see what she had to say next, there was plenty she could do and surely some of it would catch Athren by surprise. In all honesty he hoped she would say yes and share the snacks between the two, even if it wasn't going to be enough for him alone. He was trying his best at the 'being' polite thing and trying to be nice and it had felt unnatural but he seemed to be doing fine at it, it might have been wrong but Athren had thought this whole scenario to be a trial run. Considering he didn't bash her face in when that bat hit him, he thought he was doing good. Word Count: 1,005 Total Word Count: 3,030

Aayla couldn't help but pout at Athren's statement about wanting a kiss before he would tell her anything. Why was this guy being so mean? Who was he protecting by making it so hard for her to find out who had helped her? She probably wouldn't even be able to find them anyways, even if she knew who they were. She took a step back away from Athren and crossed her arms, sticking her tongue out at the saiyan prince before she would speak.
"A kiss hunh? I really want to know who saved me but I'm not going to start kissing strangers for information. Well, not a real kiss anyways." She stated before a devious smirk crossed her face. She unfolded her arms and stepped closer to Athren once more and gave him a peck on the cheek before stepping back once more.
"There!" She chirped before going into her bag to retrieve the cookies and handing them over to Athren. She was surprised though when he brought up a hand to stop her from giving them to him, stating that they would have to share or he wouldn't accept them. Alright, maybe this guy wasn't being mean but he sure was weird! She smiled lightly and even laughed as she put her bag back down, digging into the depths of her bag and retrieving... another bag of cookies!
"I've got all kinds of sweets in here... I guess since you won't tell me who saved me, we might as well enjoy them and not let them go to waste!" With that, she sat back down on the grass, setting the bag in front of Athren so that he would sit down with her to enjoy the delicious sweets. Personally she knew she shouldn't be eating these as she wasn't back to being 100%... but one or two cookies wouldn't hurt, right?

Well, It had appeared she was amused with Athren's request though at first he didn't have a single clue what was blasting through her mind. It literally could have been anything, starting with 'ewwwww gross' to 'OF COURSE, HE'S CUTE'. Of course, it didn't help that Athren's warrior attitude and lifestyle made him distant from little nods of affection to displays of being disgusted. Regardless of it all, Athren wasn't exactly trying to romance this woman into bed. He was simply trying to keep an entertaining situation going and it seemed to be working in his favour. When she had heard his remark about this kiss she originally had stepped back, this would have forced Athren to arch his eyebrow curiously. He didn't have a single clue as to why she stepped back but than again, it wouldn't have been a big deal regardless of the reason. "Uhm..?" he muttered out before she took her next action. She had decided to cross her arms, it would've been the exact way Athren had been standing. He didn't know if she was mocking him or teasing him, at least until her tongue came out. Once that happened he figured she was playing around with him which was good. Athren needed light humour around him considering his past was mostly full of being alone in the dark. It wasn't easy being a saiyan, and it wasn't easy adapting to Earth or a semi-peaceful lifestyle. In all honesty, he was losing his mind. "Yes.. a kiss." He said immediately after she questioned his remark, surely she wasn't going to actually go for it. At least at this point in time it didn't look like it anyway. It was then that she had decided to step forwards and close the gap between them once again, this had caused his right eyebrow to arch up once again. ~She's not actually going to do it, is she?~ He thought to himself as his eyes remained on her. It was then that she had leaned in and decided to press her lips upon his cheek. She had confidentially stated 'there' which forced the young prince to smile faintly, hell his cheeks were even a little redder than before. Who would've thought that these things could actually get to a saiyan? It was something that Athren liked but at the same time it made him sick, at least his pride thought so. She had then claimed she had all kinds of sweets, she then went to sit on the grass and set the bag in front of Athren. He put two and two together and assumed she wanted him to join him on the ground. If another saiyan were to look at Athren right now, they'd surely be shaking their head at him. He was a saiyan warrior, the prince of them all and he was about to sit down to have a 'picnic' style snack with an Earthling woman? They'd be saying the same thing that his pride was, and that was him being pathetic. It's truly funny how everything was starting to work out for him, completely different than what he pictured while he was growing up.
Slowly Athren sat upon the grass with the girl, his faint smile refusing to fade. This woman was quite lucky, it wasn't very often that somebody got to see this side of Athren. Even at his nicest he was usually slightly bitter but as of now, he was almost doing this flawlessly. Now that the prince had found himself comfortable in front of her, he did owe her an answer. Though, he was going to do it in a way that would entertain himself. "So, That's how you decide to kiss your hero, huh? On the cheek? That isn't exactly rewarding." He said with a chuckle in his tone, he had obviously said this to see if he could get any sort of reaction from her, though it was very possible that she wouldn't believe him at all. I mean, she had a very good point. Why would her saviour be out here anyway, there wasn't any specific reason for it. It was purely luck that she had crossed the same path as Athren did, it was about the lucky choice of time and spot for Athren to nap, and her time to go for a walk. Though, if she didn't believe him he'd do his best to make her believe it. He figured he had known enough information about it to make it convincing, all the way from what hospital it was and how long it took to get there, from what time he picked her up off the ground. Surely, he'd make a solid case. When Athren had said those previous words though, he tilted his head back and stared up towards the sky. It was truly a beautiful day, there had been few clouds breezing through the air and the sky was it's beautiful shade of blue. There was a light cooling breeze that Athren had liked and he was out in a peaceful environment with a stranger who hadn't gotten on his nerves yet. Everything was going great, he was actually feeling quite relaxed for a change. He did need this though, that was without a doubt. He needed to give his whole body a well deserved rest. He had been training far too hard, for far too long and it was all to accomplish the goal of becoming a super saiyan, it was quite foolish. Thinking about it all, Athren let out a deep sigh of relief. It was very nice to have a change of pace regarding it all. This was the first time in a long time that his stress level had been this low, nothing felt like it was under pressure at the moment. His body wasn't being tested by a gravity machine and his mind wasn't fighting to insure that he didn't break under the extreme circumstances he continued to throw himself into. He was fully at peace and taking it all in. Word Count: 1,012 Total Word Count: 4,042
"My Hero? Heeeeey, it's not nice to tease me you know!" She would say with a playful huff before taking a bite out of her first cookie. If he was really the one who had saved her, why didn't he just come out and say it? There's was no shame in saving someone, and it's not like he was asking for recognition for his deed, so if it was really him why hide it? She looked on at the saiyan curiously, wondering why she just couldn't figure him out at all... was he just picking on her this entire time? Or was he maybe shy and only now gave her the truth because she gave him that little kiss on his cheek?
She had to lightly clear her throat as her own cheeks started to go red. She would look away from Athren the instant he would look at her so that it didn't seem like she had been staring at him.
"If you really are my knight in shining armour, why didn't you just say so before? Besides! Hero's aren't supposed to ask for rewards for their heroic deeds so now i'm doubting you mr." She stated in her own teasing tone as she ate the rest of her cookie contently. She just adored sweets! and if she wasn't careful she would no doubt eat this whole entire bag and make herself look like a pig!
