Kinoko couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought of Cress, he was an obedient little guard dog, but his pride was far larger than his bite… she was sure he knew about her Demonic characteristics so wasn’t worried about him turning on her if he found out, but the idea of the boy being devastated simply by hearing her call him a kiss ass made her laugh.
Her chuckle faded though as Tomina abruptly yelled out a curse. She looked at her with a rather suprised expression as she listened to her short rant. It seemed Tomina had completely misunderstood her… Kinoko had meant she had memories of Lettis, not that she had Lettis’ memories. She wasn’t about to correct her, as it seemed to trigger her exactly the way she had wanted.
That’s when Tomina started monologuing, ranting about how she was infused with the DNA of so many different species to be made into who she was. In some way Kinoko could relate to that, but in another she couldn’t. When Kinoko was created she was only created using the DNA of Saiyan warriors, no other species were mixed into her. The only reason she and these Demonic abilities was due to the Cursed Water Nakiya had given her time and time again back on planet Vegeta. Tomina however… she wasn’t so different from those Chimera’s Nakiya liked creating back in her lab, though she didn’t usually give them a humanoid body like Tomina had. She wondered if the Demon Queen didn’t have another purpose for Tomina? Something that she didn’t know about?
Then whenever Tomina spoke about Hakobe and herself having no pride, she couldn’t help but laugh loudly, mocking the glare the saiyaness was giving her.
“My brother was created without it, I was not. If I had no pride in every aspect of myself, would I bother to dress as I do? Hmm… I suppose it wouldn’t only be pride would it… vanity might be better suited to my appearance… Oh well, the point is I am not like him, I am a proud Saiyan Warrior, a proud ruler of this Kingdom and don’t you dare ever insinuate otherwise again.” While Kinoko was laughing at her, it was clear that her comment struck a chord. Any time she was proven to be any less than a saiyan like every other she got furious… she didn’t want to be reminded of what she actually was and would fight anyone that dared treat her any less than the Saiyan royalty she now was.
When her elbow collided with Tomina’s block she found herself quite satisfied by the blood she saw now staining the girl's face. Part of her wanted to let herself transform into her Super Saiyan state just then… the sight of Tomina’s blood would have easily sent her into a frenzy if she was transformed, and that part of her egged her on to do it…
Before she could considering it too much however, Tomina erupted into flames and Kinoko was forced to leap back away from her and the blue fire that licked at her skin during the explosion. She stared at Tomina intently, watching this new fiery form she had taken on to which Kinoko scoffed.
‘Some kind of fire sprite… Honestly I was hoping she would turn into a dragon. Makes sense though, if she only used a little bit of her own DNA in her. I wonder why her flames are blue though… It’s rare for a sprite to have that color… im not sure about Elemi though… it’s interesting to say the least.’ Kinoko thought to herself as she watched Tomina gather her flames around her, calling on her Demonic spirit to make her attack even stronger. Good! Kinoko barely even needed to demonstrate the technique to her, she just needed to keep pushing her until she let her instincts as a Demon kick in.
When she finally launched the attack at her Kinoko braced herself, her own flames erupting from her body in a sudden red inferno that covered her body from head to toe. The flames swirled around her before turning into a protective shield, making it look like her body was literally on fire. Her fire definitely wasn’t as lifelike as Tomina’s was, the blue flames literally reaching out to grab the saiyan Queen with bone like hands made of flames.
With another charge forward, Kinoko literally leaped into the hands of fire that suddenly clapped around her as if squashing a fly. The blue fire would seem to completely consume the demonis Saiyan Queen as she vanished from view, however, the crimson fire that was surrounding her began to glow more brightly, exploding outwards and dissipating the blue fire that had devoured her before part of it then fired off towards Tomina. The amount of strength put into that attack fired Kinoko backwards as well, pushing her out of any residual flames. The saiyaness had to skid to a stop, stopping just shy of the wall.
She was breathing heavily at this point, her wings hanging lowly behind her, her tail lying limp under both exhaustion and pressure due to the gravity machine.
“Wow I didn’t… think you’d get it… so fast… heh heh…”

Just before things got to the nitty gritty, Tomina had kept her eyes fixed on the Queen, She really didn’t like being mocked, but it was something she was going to have to put up with when it was coming from Kinoko. Still, she wasn’t just going to let her say things and let it go completely.
“You certainly have pride. And look at where you are now. You only answer to Nasu, since you’re our queen. And what does Hakobe have to show? A prison cell. Nakiya must have been experimenting with different traits, and wanted to see what would happen if she took away the pride. You take away everything that makes someone a proper Saiyan, that’s what happens. You’re not like Hakobe, and you never will be. You are a true Saiyaness.”
Then things had gotten very out of hand. Kinoko had managed to power through the attack and send a strong blow of her own at Tomina. Although she didn’t respond to Kinoko’s comment. Tomina seemed to be very out of it at the moment, her anger getting the better of her. When Kinoko collided against Tomina’s attack, flames flew everywhere around them. Although Kinoko was out of range of the Fire. Although she wasn’t in the clear just yet.
Tomina tapped deeper into herself and pulled out more power, firing a yellow energy beam at the weakened attack. It collided with it, then pushed through it and continued towards Kinoko. It didn’t have much power at this point, but it still probably wouldn't be pleasant to be hit by it.

While she was glad to hear those words from Tomina, it did irk her to be reminded that her brother was kept locked up... She could easily have ordered his release, but doing so would just raise suspicion that she still worked for Nakiya, which she didn't. She wanted to burn all ties she had with the Demon Queen, but there was one bond that was too difficult to burn, and that was Hakobe... He looked like a grown man, acted like one and had the strength of one... but he was barely a year old, he was Kinoko's younger brother and she couldn't help but feel protective of him... Maybe it was something programmed into her after-all, to care for the other creations Nakiya had created... but she had to refuse to believe that.
"Speaking of my brother, Nakiya no longer controls him, why do you continue to keep him locked up? He could be very useful to us if he was taught to oppose her control, like I did. I'd order his release, but you know how that would look to the Kingdom." She said, breathing heavily as her strike moved forward and hit Tomina, or so she thought. Just before the remainder of her blast hit Tomina, the other saiyaness fired off what felt like a basic blast of energy that easily tore through the remainder of her own. Without any energy left to defend herself, there was little Kinoko could do but bring her arms up to protect herself from the oncoming blast. It struck her hard enough to close the small gap between Kinoko and the wall, but not enough to significantly hurt her.
She took a deep breath as she lowered her arms, shaking them out to try and get the feeling back in them as she looked up towards the enraged Tomina. This creature... no this Demon of blue fire proved that Nakiya had put a part of herself in Tomina... although the blue flames... they made her think more of Nakiya's brother, than they did of Nakiya. The ex Overlord of Makai... from the memories she was given, he was a true terror, a devil glad in blue and violet flames...
"If it makes you feel any better, I don't think Nakiya used her own DNA... but I'm not sure, it could just be a reaction with your Elemi genetics..." She said calmly, though doubted it would do anything to calm the hybrid Saiyan down. Maybe if she could use her anger to teach her the next part of the Royal Demon Arts, it might calm her now that she was aware of her demonic side. Weakened by the over use of her energy and the intense gravity and weights pushing down on her, Kinoko made her way to the central console as quickly as possible, turning off the artificial environment but leaving the gravity on before turning back to Tomina, extending her right hand to her side.
Immediately, a swirling black energy appeared there, expanding larger and larger until the energy created what looked like a moving doorway.
"Use your anger to focus on the one you are really angry with, focus on Nakiya and her home, on Makai. Remember how it looked, and how it felt to have the Makyo Star beating down on you. Remember the feeling of my Demonic Energy and bring it all into focus. If you can imagine yourself walking through a door to the Demon Realm, then you'll be able to create a portal just like this one. You do have some Demon blood in you, Tomina, so you have an advantage the other saiyans don't. You can kick down her door, and announce that you'll be there to destroy her." Kinoko stated seriously, staring directly into Tomina's eyes as Kinoko held her portal open.

“There is a reason I’ve kept him locked up for this long. I’ll explain why after our fight.”
Tomina didn’t even react when Kinoko was hit. She just stood there staring at the demoness. There was no little celebration or any indication that Tomina was glad she managed to finally land a blow. She did react once Kinoko moved towards the console though. She conjured up a spear of fire and took a few steps forward, but stopped once the environment returned to normal. This made the Saiyan hybrid pause. She tilted her head, seemingly thrown off by the change. Then the figure bend her legs to spring towards Kinoko, when she opened the portal. This made Tomina freeze in place. She had stopped for the moment, but it might not last.
After a few seconds, Tomina made the spear disappear and stood up. She was still covered in the flaming armor, so she hadn’t calmed down yet. Without saying a word, she extended her left arm, almost mirroring Kinoko’s movements. a small hole appeared in the air, fluctuating in size and length. It only took a couple of minutes for Tomina to get the hang of it though. Soon the gateway opened wider and wider. It was at a slower pace than Kinoko’s, but soon enough she had opened a portal as large as Kinoko’s.
Tomina turned her head and looked through the black doorway. Something within her was being called to. A force wanted her to step through the portal. A stronger force was keeping her anchored to the side she was currently on though. So she just stood there staring into the void, her expression nearly unreadable behind her armor of flames.

Kinoko was hyper aware of Tomina's movements as she broke for the center console. There wasn't much she would have been able to do if Tomina jumped her beyond transforming to be able to take the hit, so she was glad when Tomina showed enough control to restrain herself. She was quick to demonstrate how to create a portal, and Tomina was quick to prove to her she could do anything she threw at her.
It only took a few moments for the hybrid Saiyaness to recreate the very same portal Kinoko had created! The look on Kinoko's face made it clear that she was impressed by this, almost forgetting to close the portal, and she only did so when a familiar tingling feeling poked at the back of her head.
<There you are... Kinoko... Be careful, she won't forgive you... I hope you're ready...> A male voice sounded in her head, one she hadn't heard in a very long time. Her head snapped sideways as she looked into her portal only to see the Demon Queen's palace with what looked like a man perched on it's highest peak. She stared at the form, knowing all too well whom it was....
"Vulpeca..." She murmured as her hand started to shake, she bit her lower lip and quickly drew her hand back away from her own portal, instantly closing it and holding her hand to her chest as if she had just been hurt, though in truth she was trying to hide the shaking. She dropped from her Demonic form all of a sudden as she glanced back to Tomina, her thoughts still on the figure she saw in Makai.
Vulpeca had always looked out for her... the two of them were Nakiya's first creations and the fox Demon had been quick to take on the role of big brother, guiding the then innocent Kinoko and even trying to keep her as pure as he could. One day they would invade Makai, destroy Nakiya and everything she held dear... would that mean she would have to fight Vulpeca? He wouldn't betray her, even now with their freedom he remained in the palace, no doubt as King as he was intended to be...
She took a deep breath before looking back towards Tomina who seemed to be eyeing her portal just as much as Kinoko had been eyeing hers.
"If you go through, You'll be stuck in Makai for roughly a month. You know how to make it now, so close it and leave it be. Our time will come... now tell me... why haven't you released my brother..." With the thought of Vulpeca fresh in her mind, it was hard to ignore Hakobe's capture, and now more than ever she wanted him to be free... she wanted her family, even if they were artificial.

Tomina wasn't able to hear Vulpeca communicating to Kinoko, since that was done with a private conversation. She instead stared into the world on the other side of the portal. It looked eerily similar to Vegeta in some aspects. It had a red sky and a desert-like landscape. There were a few different castles and structures she could see through the portal she had created. The building shifted so that she saw the palace and surrounding buildings of her homeworld. How she longed to return to that place! She blinked, and the vision was gone. That along with Kinoko's words was enough to snap her out of her trance. The flames faded away from around her, and she lowered her arm. The portal closed as she bent over, breathing heavily with exhaustion. Tomina lumbered towards the control panel.
"I had to use an roundabout way of a torture sequence I'm rather fond of. It doesn't work on everyone of course, but I feel like it would work on your brother. There's a lot of thought you have to put into proper interrogation methods. See, I was fond of putting people through horrible things, then throwing them for a loop to try and get them to let their guard down. Like suddenly being nice to them and telling them that I didn't really like doing it and I just had to follow orders and had to act like I was enjoying it so that they wouldn't kill me for being soft. Being a little girl really helped with that one. Usually that would happen over the course of a week. Although you wouldn't have appreciated me roughing up your brother more then I did on the battlefield. So I couldn't do anything extreme to him. Since nothing was happening to him, he wouldn't be put in a desperate state of mind in that short period. So I had to extend things to get him to the right point. A few months of isolation should be sufficient enough to set things into motion.
Tomina turned off the artificial gravity, bending over the control panel for a moment. She turned her head to look back at Kinoko, her palm pressing against the dashboard. She was giving her Queen a very serious look for once. No trace of her normal humor there.
"If you want your brother to be free, then he's going to have to be turned over to our side. And in order for that to happen, everything has to go right. First off, I will need to learn the rest of the demon arts to make this plan work, and we're both going to have to do everything we can to save him from Nakiya's influence. Nasu has to be convinced to allow this too, since sneaking off and doing this would be too suspicious. We're going to put things into motion late at night. We're going to fake an escape. And it's going to lead to a situation where hopefully he can be convinced to see who the real winning side is."
Tomina stood up straight, turning around and facing her Queen. She wanted to see her reaction to all of this. There was one thing that she expected to be brought up, and hopefully they would be able to get past that and work together. Everything had to come together just right. Otherwise Kinoko would lose someone important to her and they would have one less card up their sleeves.

Kinoko's eyes darkened on Tomina as she explained her methods of torture back in the day, the way she toyed with both mind and spirit to break those under her 'care'. She had been to see Hakobe a few times and he didn't seem broken when she spoke to him, but then again she didn't truly know her brother all that well. He wasn't one to complain either, he would tough it out until the opportunity presented itself to escape. That was his plan wasn't it? To escape and rejoin Nakiya? She wasn't so sure... With Nakiya dead and the threat to their lives erased, she was sure that he would see things differently.
"You don't understand what it's like to have Nakiya control you, to move without willing your body to. Even when she isn't directly controlling us..." She paused, bringing her hand up to her head, pointing to her temple as she looked back at Tomina just as seriously as she was looking at her.
"There are biological microchips in our heads that if shut off... well, say it's going to be a very painful death. This is why I need to learn to keep her out of my head, to stop her from forcing me to do anything against the Kingdom, and to stop her from outright killing me for betraying her. I don't know if Hakobe knows any of this, but with Nakiya gone, it's a good time to explain it to him. I think you'll have an easy time if you just talked to him instead of challenging him on everything. It might be too elaborate of a plan for him to 'break' as you want him too.
Besides, maybe you have been good to him so far, but he is my only family and if you dare to repeat the actions you did against him during the invasion, I'll kill you myself. Remember the thin line you're walking, Tomina because this is something I take very very seriously...
Go on with this plan of yours, but if it fails, then I'll be taking over." She warned seriously, the air growing more and more tense by the minute as the two women stared each other down. They both seemed to have the same desires for Hakobe, only they both had different paths in mind for him. She let it sink in, waiting a moment longer for Tomina to assure her that no permanent harm would come to Hakobe before walking out of the training room. She would call on her soon to finish her training in the Royal Demon ARts... but to what end? Why did she need to master it before moving ahead with this scheme?

Tomina listened to Kinoko quietly. No, that wasn’t quite right. Despite the only sound being their voices when they talked, there was this tension in the air that hovered over the both of them. Tomina just stared at the Queen, her eyes never leaving hers or wavering away from her. This time she wasn’t backing down.
“I don’t intend on putting him through what I did during the invasion. Speaking of that, he told me that I acted more like a demon then I did a Saiyan. I think it’s time we find out just how Demon is in me. I need the final two moves of the demons Arts to make things convincing. if this works, then there's a possibility we could go around the biological microchips. We put things into motion once I get a fair grasp of the rest of the techniques. The fake escape will be a good opportunity for me to put them into practice. well, let us hope that it works. Like I said before, I can't pull this off without you. I understand that if it fails, it will be in your hands alone my Queen.”
Tomina then bowed to Kinoko, then turned and walked out of the room. Despite how tense things got at the end, things were progressing well. Hopefully what she had planned for Hakobe would go fairly smoothly without any repercussions.
