Identifying Markers:

Personality:
Majiin Liari (Or Liari as she prefers) is cocky and confident in herself and her power, looking down on most below her own strength but also looking up to those above it. She holds a certain respect for those that can best her in battle, but that doesn't mean she enjoys their company. Liari is somewhat reclusive and quiet, not actively seeking friends or companionship nor welcoming it when it's offered. Liari is sophisticated enough to talk fluently and understand larger complex words, having absorbed several masters in both combat and philosophy who had crossed her path in the past. As such, she has inherited fighting knowledge (granted unrefined generally) and also their craving for combat. She's less than pacifistic to say the least and despite her quiet nature, she has a natural kind of hot-head, generally rushing into situations and making rash decisions without thinking things through. She's also not a strategist or a master of mind games per-say and doesn't favor these in combat though that doesn't mean she isn't capable of them should the situation desperately call for it. Secretly, she's lonely and desperately requires someone who would stick with her, though she'd never admit it.
Likes/Dislikes:
Likes: Compliments, generally relating to her strength or appearance. Strength, either rivaling hers or higher. Chocolate. lightshows involving Ki or otherwise and the occasional time on the beach. She also plays the organ/piano... It must've came from one of her earlier absorbees. She can't remember which.
Dislikes: Weakness, especially extreme weakness be it her own or others. Lonliness. This is something she'll never admit to but despite her reclusiveness, she secretly hates being left alone... All her efforts to push people away are part of this convoluted plot to coax them forward. Magic users... With a passion with the exception of other Majin.
Aspirations:
To find her older twin sister, Laezi. To find someone who's strong and would stay with her.
Homeworld:
Earth
Allegiance:
N/A
Starting Planet:
Earth
Appearance:
Being 4'6 and only 80 pounds, Liari is rather short and petit compared to other majiin or races in general. Her body is thin but toned, various holes dotting her arms, and legs where steam may escape. Liari sports a red cape with red gloves and silver almost sayain-esk combat armor over her chest almost like a long shirt or dress, with the classic majiin white baggy pants and belt covering her legs with red boots covering her feet. Liari has a dark blue skin-tone and several tentacles sprouting from her head, all folded back to give the illusion of hair almost like dread-locks. Akin to Evil Buu, Liari has black eyes with grey irises in the center, though the irises glow red when she's charging ki or using a powerful attack.
Liari's body tends to bulk up whenever she charges her Ki, growing from petit to large in a matter of moments. This bulk subsides after a quick blast of steam escapes her via the holes on her arms. Liari holds herself high, owns herself, not oven giving signs of weakness or defeat until she is defeated. Often, one will see Liari adjusting her "hair" with a quick wrist-flick or a soft nudge from her fingers, a sign she is thinking or emphasizing a point. Her ki color is a fiery pink when charging.
Backstory:
Long ago, not long after the evil wizard bibbidi had found the creature known as Majiin Buu, another evil master of magic found another majiin, who's name had been long lost to time, floating about space in a comatose state... This majiin was nowhere near the power level of the original but she was still strong and this wizard sought her powers... Not for universe conquering deeds or to grant himself power, but for experimentation... He sought to understand the Majiin body and how it worked and for centuries, this being was subjected to unspeakable tests, brutal and repeated mutilations as well as tests to see how far her body could REALLY regenerate. All the while, this majiin was kept submissive but awake with the magician's magic so he would remain uninterrupted but even sorcerers died. It was unknown to the Majiin what became of her torturer but he was soon replaced with a younger, more ambitious one, this one seeking greater deeds and more grandiose ideals. He sought to conquer his home planet, then the solar-system, then an entire quadrant of the galaxy using this majiin but to do that... he needed to undo the spellwork of his predecessor. The magics placed upon the majiin kept her passive by continuously surpressing her memories as they came in, leaving her a blank automaton that could only function on the very basics or levels. The magician was nowhere near the magical might of his predecessor and, as such, took several more decades to undo his work... but the moment it did... Everything came flooding back... instantly. All the trauma, all the damage... Every ounce of pain came back to her at once and it was so devastating that it shattered her mind, split it in two and with that, her body and power. With an immense burst of power, power that cracked the very planet on which her torture had taken place in half, two majiin were formed: Majiin Liari and Majiin Laezi, neither with memories of their former selves.
Liari had always acted the youngest out of the two. For the countless years they spent together, it was always Laezi holding her back from going to far, keeping her in line and teaching her the way of things despite her knowing just as much as her sister. Often times, due to her older sister constantly "holding her back" and "telling her what to do", they often got into fights with one another. While to them it was merely roughhousing, to others it seemed like a battle-of-gods were taking place in the skies of early planets or stars exploding in the depths of space. Despite them having around equal power, Laezi often won their spats due to her cooler head and strategic mind, leaving Liari consistently feeling frustrated with her sister, shortening her fuse even more. This Laezi leading her, Liari gallivanted throughout the neighboring systems, fighting strong opponents ranging from beasts to master martial artists which she ended up absorbing behind the back of her sister in an in-vain effort to best her sister. Because of Lairi's constant habits of absorption, the two majiin were cast out of every home they tried to build for themselves on inhabited worlds, the reason of which eluded the older sibling. It was when Liari was caught by her sister absorbing one of the earth's earliest inhabitants (4237 before age) did Laezi figure it all out... This revelation lead to another fight between the two, one that lasted for several days and it seemed that Liari was gaining the upper hand... but before she could deliver a decisive blow... she found herself captured... and her power suppressed into a tiny ball, never to resurface until uncountable-amounts-of-time later...
Liari awoke several thousands of years later, on a planet she didn't recognize, the spell entrapping her wearing off. She was surrounded by green, the softness of bird-chirps and the sound of running water with a babbling brook off to her left. She stared in wonder, confused, and then she started calling out for her sister... Silence... She tried again... and again but nothing... Her power had also long since degraded in the spell those creatures had cast, leaving her much weaker than she had been before. She could no longer fly as fast, her energy waves were pitifully weak and her strength was severly crippled and what was worse... she was alone... For years she dedicated herself to finding her sister on this planet, convinced she had to have been here because... she had no idea where she was or could be... Another year passed and Liari began to break down in sorrow, depression hitting her extremely hard with the only family she'd ever known lost, hiding herself away from the various races that began to populate the planet, sticking to the caves and mountains of the planet in a bid to escape the planet that apparently swallowed her sister... and it was all her fault...

"Are you insane, Liari!?" Laezi yelled, clenching her fists as she glared at her sister. "You ABSORBED people all this time!? Why would you do something like that!?" Liari glared right back at her sister, dropping the humanoid she had been beating senseless a moment before. She stared into the eyes of her sister, eyes that looked back at her with disbelief, horror and outrage. The younger majiin was tired of always being second best to this girl she called her sister, she was tired of taking orders from her... She was tired of always losing... Not anymore.
"As if you'd understand, sis." She spat back, energy charging in her hands. "You always ordered me around... You ALWAYS held me back! Well I took it upon myself to break FREE of you now, Laezi! From now on, I'm going to be calling the shots. See how YOU LIKE AUTHORITY!" With that Liari raised her hands, pointing her palms at her sister. Her eyes glowed an angry red as a massive blast of pinkish energy erupted from her hands, barreling towards her sister and tearing up the ground as it went. The older Majiin's eyes widened in surprise at this sudden spike in power, jumping up and over the energy blast, barely managing to dodge out of the way. Laezi covered her face with her arms as the blast erupted underneath her, deflecting the rocky shrapnel that sprung up as a result of the shockwave.
"Liari! Stop or I'm gonna-" She was suddenly cut off with a fist to her cheek, the strength of which being nothing like she's ever felt. Was this really her sister...? Liari wasted time in following up, bringing her arm back and attempting to slam her elbow into Laezi's face. The older Majiin quickly ducked out of the way, slamming her fist into her sister's stomach not once, not twice, but 3 times, each blow stunning the younger majiin, her newfound power doing very little to aid in her defense. The two traded blows and blasts, the planet's surface shaking with the power of the two Majins, but... unlike all the other times... Laezi seemed to be on the offensive in this late fight... The brutal new strength of Liari was simply powering through Laezi's offensive wall every time she attempted to push forward, her punches meaning more in the long run and her body simply able to take slightly more punishment than her sister's...
Days passed and Laezi was able to keep pace with her sister but it was very clear she was on her back foot... At this point, Liari was landing more punches and taking less than her sister and Laezi's main defense was to retreat and obtain breathing room. Liari delivered two brutal hooks to her sister's cheek, the second one sending her crashing to the ground, her head spinning...
"I-is this Liari...?" She thought as she heard her sister's steps behind her. "H-how many people d-did she..." Her thoughts were interrupted by a swift kick to her side, flipping her on her back. Laezi gasped in pain, her vision blurred with agony, barely able to make out Liari kneeling over her harshly, her knees digging into her sides.
Liari cocked a fist back and slammed it into her sister's cheek, the sound of the impact seeming to stretch out for miles. And then... she cocked back her other fist and struck her again... Again and again she pummeled her older sister, the ground beneath her smashing and breaking with each blow until Laezi coughed up blood, Liari glaring down at her almost animalistic.
"You... Lost..." Liari heaved, her chest rising up and down as she glared down at her sibling. Laezi couldn't even hear her sister... her ears were ringing too much... She couldn't see her either... her vision was too blurred... Liari had beaten her senseless. She wasn't done, however, the younger Majin raising a hand above her head, pink energy surging forth in her palm. Rage still clouded her mind... she wasn't thinking straight... And then.... she didn't think at all... everything fell into a quiet peace as Liari disappeared in a flash of light, and in her place was a small, nut-shaped ball. It fell silently into one of the crevasses created during their battle... lost for the longest of time...
