having since discovered how to reduce the mansion he'd discovered to its capsule form and finding a good place to carry it, namely under the hard casing that covered his gossamer wings when they were not in use, he'd found much sleeker and purpose built weights within the house's storeroom, purpose built for him it would seem they clasped on over his chitinous exoskeleton like gloves on the hands of a heteromorphic creature.
He was unable however to shake the tremendous worries from his head, that he now had some sibling possibly being mistreated or worse mislead by their deranged creator, taught to hate, kill and consume without restraint, empathy or mercy to fuel its own might so that it could take on the bloody dreams of genocide that drove the insane humans genius to all new heights.
all whilst he'd been laying around in his new home, satisfied with his strength and unconcerned with his evolution; he mustn't allow his would be brother or sister to overtake him and bring their terrors and darkness unto the earth with the predatory urges that were all but innate to him, the original...the failed prototype.
He could only shake and dread as he imagined what steps had been taken to avoid further failures, what suffering he'd wrought on his kin by securing his own freedom and happiness, he felt that self same pang of emotion as he had when he'd first fed on that immense boar near west city.
Guilt that his success was built on misery and pain for another living, breathing, and most importantly feeling creature.
So he'd spend the last few days scanning the surrounding area for Ki signitures of hybridized energy typesm particularly those of races who now in part or whole called earth home and thus had invoked the ire of the loathsome doctor who felt the best response was to build biological weapons to eradicate them through predation.
how a being could have such little empathy and so much hatred for something so similar to himself he would never know and he was in part, grateful that it was such; to comprehend such madness was surely a sign of suffering from it he felt.
it was strange to be back in the forest all the same, the gentle noises of woodland creatures, the wind and waters blowing and flowing through the trees and land was soothing and helped both distract him from the terrible urgency that now rested upon him and focus his mind on more productive ways of coping with the dilemma he now faced.
stopping for a break in the bank of a raised tree's roots just beyond which lay a scenic clearing he pondered what he would do when he faced this creature, this dark mirror and opposite of himself he'd created from a log on a blinking computer screen.
Would he, if it should come to it, be willing to kill his own sibling for protect the world he'd come to love from an unrestrained version of what would essentially be himself?
He couldn't say, not for certain anyway; how could he reconcile killing his mislead brother or sister over an ideological disbute when he'd done nothing to stop his creator or end his own predatory stalking of median lifeforms with the misfortune to cross his hunting grounds?
He didn't know, He couldn't say, He would have to figure it out and soon lest the world pay the price for his indecision and cowardice when faced with uncomfortable truths of his own nature darkly reflected back at him.
Whatever may Come.
