A few hours of trainning took their tool on the teenager and Hotato was ready to jump in bed and forget everything else. Afterall, his time was well spent, as he could develop, or better to say adapted the Vegetean Academy Fighting Style to something he has a better feeling on how to use it. The new techniques were also something he pretended to substitute from his previous ones. Also, he was happy. Earth was the most close thing of 'Paradise' the young hybrid has ever know, it had not only beauty, good food and peace, but it also had fighting, but not violent brute fights, here people used a variety of techniques he was sure he could learn from and improve even more his new martial style and himself.
Inside his ship, the saiyan begins to undress, first by taking off his armor, then armbands, then boots, and finally his jumpsuit. By reaching the shower, he then remembers that there's a river just outside, near the forest - "Hum...how must it feel to bath in a river?". And with this thought, Hotato grabs a clean jumpsuit and his scouter and leave the ship towards the river - "I know I came from this direction, I recognize those rocks in there, I passed by them when arrived, so it must be this way". Soon he heard the sound of flowing water and a few more meters ahead he finds it.
The river was a vision of beauty. Clear blue waters flowing slowly between some rocks that sparkled a little with the sunlight bathing them. The water came down from a small waterfall, a faint rainbow growing from the white mist created by the splash waters, the teenager immediately thought it to be the perfect substitute for the shower. He left his things near the border of the river, by the foot of the rocky wall, and entered the water. Washing himself under the waterfall and then, when he thought he was already clean, he walked towards the rocks, choose one, and layed upon it, resting while the flowing waters massage his lower back, with half his body underwater - "Yeah, I needed this...needed this a lot. Living inside a ship was getting tiresome, being able to rest like this...it has not price..." - his tension had left him completely, and Hotato allowed himself to be unaware of his surroundings for the time being, his tail extended through his back, to dry up.

Thread Pl: 1,100,000 Suppressed PL: 10,000
(OOC: Due to being a Magi, the most that Hotato would be able to directly sense out of her is always going to be 10,000. His scouter can pick up her magical power though, since it can detect energy other then ki. However, Holly has that suppressed to 10,000 at the moment to hide her true strength)
A pair of black heeled shoes touched down in front of Hotato's spaceship. Holly Dae Valiare stared up at it, marveling at the size of it. She knew spaceships existed of course. Although she never saw one that big before.
<This thing is certainly too big for just one person. Yet there's only one of the strong individuals that I can sense nearby. The others are spread out quite a long ways from here. Are they that confident that no one will steal from them? Well the person that's still nearby is strong. Much stronger then the majority of my race is. But aren't they worried about the other strange powers that have converged here?>
It didn't take long to sense where the strong individual was. As she got closer to the source, the sound of running water reached her ears. So there was some kind of river or creek nearby. Indeed, it came into view. That also wasn't the only thing that came into view. The person who had the strong power was in the river. And judging by the clothes and equipment near the river, he was the only thing in the river. Holly's face flushed pink as she addressed the person in the river.
“Doesn’t your giant, advanced spacecraft have a shower onboard? Taking a dip in a river like that is filthy. Regardless, I intend to speak with you. And don’t stand up until I’m done talking with you!”
Holly crossed her arms, staring at the you until Saiyan sternly. He was yet another in the line of otherworldly beings that had come and gone within the last decade. Whenever they came by, it usually resulted in things blowing up.
“Recently a large amount of strong powers have been gathering on Earth. I’m willing to bet that a good amount of them are your friends. What is your intent by coming to this planet?”
The saiyan hybrid was feeling extreme relief, laying his chest onto a river rock and his back and tail bathed by sunlight - "...soooo warmmm..." - while the waters flow through from his waits down. He was almost asleep when something called his attention, a the rustle of grass was all he heard - "Humm...? An animal? I can't focus my energy sensing...urgh...I'm too relaxed right now". While he couldn't make proper use of his energy sensing technique, some of his natural senses were still pretty sharp, remnescence of his days surviving by himself in the wild. Moving his head just enough to face the sound, he saw a girl comming out of the forest. She looked like she was searching for something until her eyes met him, then she beggan to sprout a lot of words, some of them incomprehensible for a over relaxed Hotato, but he could distinguish the general idea.
- Well... - the teenager get up again, water still from his waits down, and stretches his arms and chest with a sounding yawn - ...I came here to help my cousin with some problems this planet is having. Don't know much about any other 'strong powers' though. Does that answer your question? Hum... - he then stopped and put his hands on his waist, seemingly thinking - Now that I think about it, why am I answering you exactly? And...did you called me 'dirty'? - the hybrid frowned - Who the hell are you to come here, judge me and order me around? - while crossing his arms.
Hotato's relaxed state subsided, one more reason for him to be upset at the girl. But now his senses had all come back and looking closely, at the girl he noticed some things: her power level was above the average, but in a strange way...a different kind of energy - "What is this? Never met anyone with an energy signature like this. Earth really is full of surprises". The girl also, at least for him, like a normal earthling: no apparent tail, no pointy ears, blonde hair, green eyes... - "Shit...do I...think she's...cute?" - ...light-pink skin, except on her face. The girls face looked bright pink, almost red.
- H-hey, are sick? Your face is all red, you know? C'mon I can take you to a doctor - that said, Hotato hurried to leave the river in her direction.

Holly placed her hands on her hips, giving Hotato the same kind of expression a parent would have just before scolding one of their children. Clearly this answer wasn’t satisfactory enough for the blonde Magi.
“Does “help” involving putting the people of Earth in harm's way with another one of your fights? The majority of the populous doesn’t know about it, but I know exactly what's been behind the cause of the strange events that have been taking place throughout the last 5 years. I have reason to suspect that it goes back further then that event. I’ve always been able to sense the monstrous powers that have decided to make Earth their battleground. I could sense all the strong powers that appeared here at once coming from from the stars. I felt a foul, monstrous power appear from thin air, who is now wandering around doing god knows what.”
Holly narrowed her eyes at Hotato when he talked back to her. She really hated it when people did that to her. She was a Valiare of the main family branch. No one looked down on her or disrespected her like that. Especially considering that she had every right to be questioning him.
“Firstly, I called your actions dirty, not you specifically. There is a difference. SecondlyI can call you whatever I want. I am a citizen of the planet where time and time again, has become a place where you aliens keep using as a battlefield. You show up and claim that you’re here to help deal with Earth’s problems. The “problems” you’re referring to are all caused by you off worlders. I’m finally in a position where I can do something about this. I am not going to let you keep putting my fellow Earthlings in constant danger!”
Holly’s face turned beet red when Hotato got out of the river. The Magi quickly turned around so that she couldn’t see him,She couldn't believe how bad this guy's manners were. Didn't he have any idea on what social etiquette was? Even people who didn't should have known that running naked at a stranger was not okay. She held out her left arm behind her to deter him from approaching her further.
”I’m fine! Now put some clothes on or I'll make you spend a night in the wilderness unconscious!”
A blue magic circle with various shapes and runes turning around in it appeared in her hand. She had a good idea where Hotato was due to her energy sensing abilities. Hotato only had to worry about getting hit if he kept running forward. Even then, it wasn’t meant to be fatal. But even a Saiyan like Hotato would feel her attack.

Hotato was already near the girl when she yelled at him to stay away and put on some clothes, and looking at himself he noticed he was indeed naked - "Oh yeah...I was bathing just now. Damn, how did I forget that?" - he looks back to the girl - "Hunf. Yeah, she may be cute but is also kinda off annoying. Like it was a big deal to be naked anyway" - the memory of his cousin being naked in front of a his love came to mind - "This isn't the same...is it?"
- Tch! Whatever, like you never saw a naked person before, and first! I was washing myself, so I guess it's the opposite of filth. And second, you are really rude, you know? I actually have permission to be on Earth - said the teenager, annoyed, while going for his clothes - And I'm sorry but your idea of how things happen is a little mistaken. Not all 'aliens' are troublemakers. Sure, many come here to escape their own troubles or because they think the planet is easy picking - using his energy, Hotato shake off the water from his body before start dressing up - but there are some, like my cousin Kimiko, you might know her by Atsuko, that's her earthling name. Anyways, she has defended this planet lots of times, even risking her own life. She even held the title for 'Guardian of Earth', what was it? - he was already halfway dressed, his torso up still bare - 'Kami', that's the one! Very respected for what I heard. Even now it's an 'Off-worlder' who has the job - he turns his gaze towards the girl, seeing the bright blue symbols in her hand, that is pointed at him - C'mon, what can a person with a power level of only then thousand really do against these 'monstruos powers'? You can't even repel me, and I'm not even amongst the top ten. Try again when you get at least a hundred times stronger- even under threat, the teenager wasn't afraid in the slightest - "Better be blunt with her now than to let she hurt herself playing hero"
Before he finish dressing up though, the saiyan hybrid has the idea to check his scouter for new messages and also call Blizzer - "I'm no doctor but I think she might have a fever. Her face was bright red"
- I'm dressed, you can look at me now - the teen presses a button on the scouter - Blizzer, I think I might be bringing to you a sick patient, fever I guess, so be ready ok? - and clicking the button again he ends the message and turn towards the girl - I'm Hotato by the way, kind of nice to meet yo-...huh? The hell are this things? - said him looking now through the scouter for a collective mass of lights around the girl summing up to one million and a hundred thousand of power level.

Well, at least he had decided to stop running towards her. Although she still kept her magic circle out. He could decide that she was unwell enough to risk coming over to her. As he talked on, she found herself getting a headache. This person was annoying to deal with. Although the bringing up of the Kami though.
“I’ve heard of Atsuko before. I know she was one of the ones who fought to defend Earth. Not all aliens are bad I know this. but the amount collateral damage alone is unacceptable. When strong powers fight, they can potentially destroy entire cities without even aiming for them directly. I would question the legitimacy of your claim, but since you knew who the Kami was, you’ve clearly been to Earth before. I’ll take your word that she gave you official approval to be here."
Holly deactivated the magic circle in her hand, letting it fade out of existence. It seemed as though Holly was comfortable enough to not blast Hotato. He still though she was sick though. Holly got the sense that lack of embarrassment and shame was something common among his race. If he had ever seen someone flustered, he wouldn’t be calling his friend. Holly didn’t bother to object to it though: this guy seemed a bit stubborn about things. Holly turned around once he had gotten dressed. Holly let out a sigh as he discovered her true power. It was something she wanted to keep under wraps if she could.
“Of course you have one of those annoying Scouters. You can clearly see my power with that. I like keeping it hidden to surprise my opponents. I presume you thought was just another weak Earthling. The truth is while I do have ki like every living thing does, it’s not the source of my power. In that regard I’m similar to an android. You can’t sense our power naturally because we use different sources of energy other than ki. Scouters on the other hand can pick up many different types of energy. I wouldn’t have come here if you were leagues above my own abilities.”
Holly closed her eyes and took a deep breath, concentrating to replenish the magic she had used. Unlike Ki, Magic didn't recover on its own quickly. Holly had to directly replenish her magic if she wanted more quickly. Once that was done, she walked over to the young Saiyan. She extended her hand out to him, inviting him to give her a handshake.
"I didn't intend for things to play out like this. It's not a good start when you're annoyed by someone just yet, My name is Holly, and I hope we can move past this and have a civil discussion Hotato."
Hotato seemed like a strange name to her, but maybe if was normal for his race, Holly kept an eye out for any approaching ki signatures. When one got close to their position, she knew that this Blizzer was getting close. That was a strange name too. It definitely didn't sound like a human name. So this Alien had medical knowledge on how to treat other species? If that was the case, then that would make him a very impressive doctor indeed.

Holly stops charging and cancels her attack. She uses [ST-1] Arcane Recovery to regain 1 stamina point.
Both of them have finally reached a middle ground, apparently. Holly, the girls name, gave a half explanation about how her power works and why the half-saiyan can't feel it's entirety, and Hotato couldn't help but to think how many other people could have different ways of using energy - "A person that can 'borrow' powers from something other than herself, huh. Color me impressed, it really tricked me into thinking she was a weakling". The teenager covers his torso and with that finishes dressing up.
- Well, I'm sorry then. It's not always that I'm this rude. It's just that, well, I don't like to be ordered around. Also, I really came to Earth to help, not the planet itself though, but my cousin Komatsu, who I think DID came to help - sitting down on the ledge of the river, putting his feet in the water - And I get it! People show up from another planet, causing ruckus, making things explode. But it's not that WE, outsiders, bring it with us - looking towards the river lenght - sometimes trouble just appear and you have to fight to defend your home, right? Or... - the teenager looks at Holly - do you really think that if we leave nobody will come anymore?
He would stay like that, just looking at the girl for some time until closing his eyes and laying along the river board, his arms up behind his head as cushions.
- Collateral damage - he uttered - It's something I heard a LOT, in the days I was a just toddler. I believe that for you it's an unnaceptable thing, right? I do too. But, the truth is, we can't always avoid it. Rather, it's not ever that we can have the luxury to even try it. Sometimes the enemy is just too powerful for you to fight him AND protect something. Sometimes we have to choose...sometimes we can't even do that... - suddenly Hotato feels his chest clamping. The girl can see in his face something is wrong and the teen puts a hand above his heart - "W-what is this? Why do I feel so..."
Then tears come down from his eyes, and leave the half-saiyan even more confused - "C'mon, what is this? Why am I crying damn it!" - then an image came to his mind, of someone with her back at him and open arms. That made the saiyan hybrid even more sad, but just after a few seconds he recovers from the it, whiping the tears and start talking again:
- Anyways...this is a very interesting ability of yours. Being able to use such a power level without letting the opponent notice - he tried to pull another subject as to forget what just happened.
Blizzer was working on how to present himself to the Kami when his scouter got the message from Hotato - "Humm, why didn't he came here? Weird"- and listening to it, the kold demon calmly start to organize the lab, getting the instruments necessary for treatment - "Just a fever, huh? This should do...but just to be certain...better add this". Satisfied with his arrangements, the alchemist sent his answer to the half-saiyan:
- Everything done here. Bring the patient whenever you can - and while he waited, he continued his first task.

Holly gave the Saiyan a brief nod at his statement. Her face was returning to its normal shade of color. She watched as he walked over to the stream and stuck his feet into it. She didn’t criticize him for it. She figured she had done that enough already.
"I’m not naive enough to believe that we will be left alone if you weren’t here. Malicious beings will come sooner or later regardless. That doesn’t change the fact that the current situation is unacceptable. There are always going to be losses. But with the threats Earth has to contend with thousands, millions… even the entire planet can be destroyed!”
Holly looked up towards the blue sky above her. The wind wasn’t blowing much, so the clouds passed slowly overhead them. She gazed up, just staring towards the heavens.
“My abilities surpassed everyone else in my family. Not only did I grow stronger and stronger, but I could sense much more than others. I pushed myself to my limits. One day, I could sense things on other planets. Other lights… other ki forces. Recently there was about 5,000 lights in one place. It was a small population, but they were all strong. I could tell from their energy signature that they were Saiyans, just like you.Then one day a vile power appeared there. And thousands of lights blinked out. First it was one by one, and then thousands died all at once. And now that same foul power is wondering around Earth. If that being can annihilate that many Saiyans at once, then it could easily kill millions, maybe even billions of humans if it wanted to. Do these sound like acceptable casualties to you?”
Holly lowered her head with a heavy heart, her body slumping over. Her powers were very useful, yet they were also a curse. She could tell when someone died on worlds far away. It wa frightening and sad to see many lives lost at the same time. She regained her composure, and turned to find Hotato.. crying? Yes, those were certainly tears streaming down from his eyes. She had no idea why he had suddenly broke down like this, and wasn’t sure what to do for a moment. She regained her bearings and walked over to him and pulled out a handkerchief from one of her pockets and handed it to Hotato.
“It’s something all magic users hold. It’s useful since sensing power levels is the way most people like to gauge strength. So being underestimated isn’t uncommon when someone faces a Magi. If you had continued coming forward, you would have found out about my power the hard way.”
The half-saiyan tried to whipe his tears without the girl noticing, but Holly offered a tissue to the him, meaning he was unsuccessful. He gently repelled her hand though, sitting up and making a smile:
- Thanks but I'm fine. Heh, don't know what gave on me but I'm fine - she then spoke about something he himself had somehow experienced and was even beggining to learn - Magic, huh? I know a little of it. My friend, the doctor I was calling earlier, is an, humm, what is it? - he holds one hand under his chin while trying to remember - an alcheist...I think. Anyways he uses his knowledge to heal, attack and defend too but mostly to heal. He even showed me how to focus my 'mystical energies' to do so - and in his right hand, Hotato creates a small golden flame. It was different from a normal fire, this one was more static and the warmth coming from felt like it wouldn't do harm. On the opposite, it was invigorating - I learned a lot since I left the fallen Saiyan Empire. Most of all I learned the value of bonds. Family, friends, hell, even enemies are all important for a person's growth...even when those people are no more with us, the experiences we had help us grow.
Hotato's face showed something like, clarity. And a minute later it turned into concern, for he knew what was this foul power Holly was talking about. He met him in person and heard of his last, 'achievments'.
- This darkness you are feeling has a name. Jarvis, or how he likes to call himself, Caesar. He is an immortal bastard that grew too powerful and now enjoy doing whatever he wants because he can't stay dead. My cousin killed him but he still destroyed planet Natto and with it thousand of my kin. Men, women, child, old. It didn't matter, all them were gone - the teenager didn't seemed affected while saying that - That is probably why Komatsu came to this planet. Try to avoid the same fate as Natto. I hope that's not the case though, but be warned: one day he will come, and Earth will need every help it muster can to stop him.
Hotato looked directly at the earthling's face. Almost as he was looking for something.
- Hum...hehe. I can tell we are very different from one another. And yet here I am, talking to you as if we are old friends. Hehehehe. I sure have changed. Hahahahaha!

Hotato didn’t stay down for very long. It was good to know that the rest of the conversation wasn’t going to be a downer. Or so Holly thought anyway. Although first it just got stranger. Holly’s eye twitched briefly when the Saiyan mispronounced a very familiar word to her. She was going to have be patient with this individual.
"It's pronounced "alchemy." That isn't the same as magic. Even if your friend utilizes alchemy, he still uses ki as his primary energy source. If he were capable of magic the way I am, then you wouldn't have taken me for granted by what you sensed."
Holly's headache was getting bigger while talking about that gross mispronunciation. Although not everything the guy said was untrue though, She watched as Hotato conjured up golden flames. She wondered briefly how he could do that. Was it something his species was capable of naturally? Or was it actually some sort of alchemy that this healer taught him? Holly had never encountered a Saiyan before this point, so she didn't know what was normal for them and what was unusual. Although this one's energy was very distinctive. Holly couldn't put her finger on why it was distinctive though. It felt different from the energy of most other beings. Like the foul source of energy almost, only not malevolent at all in nature and on a much smaller scale. Everything Hotato said before that was swept under the rug as he told her about the being she had sensed. Holly's face paled as it all sank in.
"A monster like that is running around Earth unchecked or unchallenged?! This Jarvis can blow up the planet whenever he sees fit, and nothing is being done?! Where is this Komatsu?! I need to speak with him immediately! Where is he?!"
Holly was suddenly in a panic that was very unlike her. Her home world be threatened by an immortal being who could blow up the planet at any moment would throw most people off though. Nothing else in the conversation mattered anymore. She had to know where this Komatsu was and what he was doing to solve the problem.
When the hybrid explained to Holly who was Jarvis, she let fear got the better from her. Hotato then got up and tried to hold her, putting both hands on her shoulders and his body glowing golden a little, increasing his power above hers just enough to be sure Holly wouldn't let go. Proceeding to speak with a serious face:
- Hey, hey...HOLLY!!! - he raised his voice trying to focus her attention even more - I know it's scary, trust me, you got the right to be scared. But the reason you can't meet with my cousin is because he and others are already taking care of this. They are doing some special trainning to face the threats coming here. Ok? - he wouldn't let her go unless he felt she had calmed down and understood what he said - Maybe I can get you where I last felt their presences, is that alright? And about Jarvis, he isn't the type to blew things up instantly. That bastard thinks everything is his by selfish right. The reason he blew Natto was because he wanted to take something from Komatsu for have killed him. He may toy with the planet but he won't destroy it. Not now - nobody ever told him this, that's just Hotato's logical thinking after hearing about the incident and having met Jarvis once. Once was enough - I'm not telling you to not worry, but don't give in to desperation. Right?

Despite how strong Hotato had gotten, and attempts to calm her down, all Holly felt was fear. Hotato’s assurances didn’t mean much to her right then. Still, she had to at least appear that she was becoming more calm. She took a deep breath, getting her breathing back down to normal before addressing Hotato again.
“Even if you do know him, he may just decide to blow up the planet anyway. This Jarvis doesn’t sound like a reasonable individual. I’m going to have a talk with this Komatsu as soon as possible. I presume he’s going to be the Saiyan with the strongest Ki signature on the planet. Once I’ve met one member of a race, I can identify what someone is by their ki signature. It was nice meeting with you Hotato, but now I have things to attend to.”
Holly moved back out of Hotato’s grasp, and flew into the air. She took off back towards civilization. She was going to have to try to do all she could to deal with the looming threat of Jarvis. She would do all that she could to protect the people of Earth.
He heard her, and although she did looked less stressed, Holly still was overthinking the situation - "Woman...if you are this scared then would do you best to raise your power". Even still the hybrid loosen his grip on her shoulders and before she could leave the only he told her again:
- As I said, his energy can't be felt right now. Nor can I find him with my scouter's comms, so you will be searching blindly. But, your choice, I also think it was, interesting, meeting you Holly. Be safe and try to grow your power before doing something crazy.
Watching the magi girl leaving, Hotato turns around and start to go back to his ship while answering Blizzer's message.
- False alarm. Turns out that earthlings are weird and seems to overreact with 'strong' powers running amock their planet, pff! Imagine if they would join the conflicts of space...guess this might end up happening sooner or later, though.
Reaching his ship, the half-saiyan went straight to his room and fell on the bed - "Ahhhhh, so fluffy. This is really good...Holly should try someday..." - the moment he thought it his face got red - "ANYONE! I mean, anyone should try this...Tch! I guess she really did make quite a impression!"
