Of course Carva went to Hell. That much was for certain to happen, because he'd done a lot of terrible things during his time with Nasu. Make no mistake though, his time as the King's Knight was only temporarily cut short. He had every intention of going back to the world of the living and becoming more dominant...more evil than ever before. It was only a matter of time before the Legendary Super Saiya-jin made himself resurface...and...he would. However, at this very moment he had a problem that plagued most people who'd been in his predicament. His once perfect, muscular form was turned into that of a dark grey cloud. At least the color matchrd. The warrior known as Carva had never considered himself good or bad. He simply considered himself a Saiya-jin, schooled in the ways of the "old country".
The landscape was treacherous. It was something most would only see in their worst nightmares. The land he floated over was blackened, singed...scarred by many battles that had taken place. It looked almost like the place where the Tree of Might had been planted, only rivers of sparkling blood cut through this land. Above the land was no sun...but it was kept bright by the powerful golden clouds. Those powerful clouds were being rammer into by groups of clouds, who just toppled back down to the surface.
Carva could only watch as they tried to escape, and failed. Time and time again. Things seemed quite futile for the poor clouds who tried to escape, but Carva cloud simply observed their actions. "Frickin' morons..."
"They aren't morons...they have the right idea, just going about it the wrong way." He heard a voice to his left hand side. The voice was raspy, like a man who'd smoked twelve packs of cigarettes a day and washed them down with vodka.
Carva cloud turned toward the voice slowly, and standing there was what appeared to be a floating black pile of rags. A cloak suspended in midair, with red coals under the cowl. Carva studied this apparition for a moment, and suddenly responded. "Maybe they do have the right idea, but I'm assuming they are missing the proper equipment."
"You'd assume correctly, Saiya-jin..." the creature would respond. "...they would at least need a body, and at most have enough power to rip through the clouds. Not to mention the veil between dimensions if they wanted to go through the barrier. Abandon all hope ye who enter here."
"Tch...bullshit. I'll leave when I damned well please. However, I am intrigued. How does one get a vessel...a body down here?" It was a viable question. Carva was but a tourist in this land, having only just died. Though, from the standpoint of someone who was short on time he had no idea how to tell time in Hell.
A light chuckle came from his ghostly companion as the two slowly floated along the bank of a bloody river. "My, you really are a Saiya-jin through and through. Well...it's not as simple as it may sound, but once you get a physical form...the good news is, your power will be restored." The figure would then turn toward the veil between the two realms of the afterlife, the endless expanse of golden clouds shimmering. "Although, I doubt you could muster enough power to break that barrier. Only the truly powerful...the truly special...only they have been able to do that."
This formless creature spoke the truth. Not many had ever been able to get through that veil. Some had even chosen to stay in Hell. But Carva hadn't let that thought cross his mind. After all, why would he want to? The dark little soul was filled with a thirst for vengeance. He needed to escape this place, to have a body...to feel once more his limbs. To feel his fist connecting with flesh and bone, to see the fear in the eyes of those who would witness his true form. If he had a set of lungs right now, he'd sigh. He'd be annoyed by the fact that dying took everything. "That sucks. Well...for those unable to adapt to a situation. If you know Saiya-jins like most people claim to though then you know one of our strongest suits is our persistence. Rest assured, ghost, I will not be like them...endlessly failing. Rather I will get my body...and I will destroy the veil. But..." another question crossed the mind of Carva. "...tell me, how long have you been here?"
"Thousands of years. Died twice...second time just decided to stay here. Tch. Trust me, soul, I know all about Saiya-jins. I used to be one...one of the most feared Saiya-jins in the universe." The creature went on to explain, his story one much like Carva's. A story of vengeance and destruction...no happy endings. "...so I was destroyed...and decided to stay here, until such time when I felt the need to return. Which now, I'm thinking...maybe I should just stay here. After all, there are bigger threats to the Universe than I ever was." The apparition sighed like an old man. It's eyes once again fell upon the small cloud. "...so you want to go back there? To the World of the living?"
"Isn't it obvious, fool? I'm twenty one years old! I am in the prime of my life!" Exclaimed Carva, not taking note that he wasn't technically alive. He was too damned determined to even worry about that fact and which each word, the cloud flashed excitedly. He desired to return more than anything...to exact revenge on those whom he had felt wronged him.
The creature seemingly nodded it's head, it's red eyes dimming for a moment. It'd heard other Saiya-jins making that same proclamation...but this one? This one's conviction seemed strong. It seemed true. "Very well then. So I will let you in on a little secret, but you cannot tell any soul I told you this." The creature said, leaning downward to the little cloud. "...if you look over there...in that valley there...look...look..."
Carva cloud would turn toward the valley itself, seeing it on the horizon like a bright white line cutting through the sky...like two giant's hands stuck in mid clap. Carva cloud moved up and down as if to nod. "Yes...yes, I see it..."
"Well..." the creature whispered..."...there is a weak point in the veil there...right at the very bottom. You'll still need a physical form, but once you get it...you can blast a hole right through there. Now...you have to be quick. There are ogres everywhere and they do not take kindly to people trying to leave. After all, they are guardians. It IS their job to keep little dead souls like yourself in."
"Tch...if I had my body, I would tear them to shreds..." one thing...he had died, but his arrogance sure as heck hadn't. "...so WHERE do I get my body?
"You can ask the witch about it, soul...she can perhaps conjure up your vessel for you. But she doesn't do so fir free, no...she only does so if you bring her Soul Energy from others who have died. In your condition, that will be easier said than done." Explained the apparition, who'd already begun to fade away into nothingness.
Carva just stared off into the distance, his eyes focused on the valley...he'd finally ask the creature..."And what might your name..." he started as he turned around, but of course...he saw nothing. The cloaked figure had disappeared. Carva cloud simply grunted, a puff of smoke coming from his misty form. "Crap...he never told me where to find the witch..." he'd realize this...but soon notice a gathering of buildings off in the distance. "...now...maybe someone there would be kind enough to provide a bit more information."
What might Carva find in this place? Would he ever escape Hell? Who was that cloaked figure?
