Hasenya, The Knight of Dawn
<Mokou Fujiwara>
<Mokou Fujiwara>
Note: Hasenya is from an alternate timeline. It'll be mentioned plenty of times throughout her sheet but I wanted to put this here in plain sight.
Name: Hasenya
Age: 21
Race: Hybrid (Elemi dominant, Saiyan recessive)
Gender: Female
Height: 5’9”
Weight: 140 lbs
Hair Color: White
Eye Color: Red
Identifying Markers: Burn scars pretty much covering her body underneath her clothes. There are spots of them on her chin and neck, but her face was mostly spared.
Personality: Hasenya’s personality was influenced heavily by those she grew up surrounded by, which includes but was not limited to the Earth's Special Forces of her own timeline, which after many catastrophes was heavily cut down in numbers, and the numbers only kept getting smaller as she grew. Hasenya was no stranger to death, but in the long run this would have more positives than negatives depending on one's perspective; Hasenya has a strong mind and a stone heart (a trait that could be perceived as bad as it is good, or vice versa,) making her struggle with her own morality, stuck between doing what's right and what's necessary during more extreme situations. Hesanya has many traits one could associate with her element- or her mother, if they happen to know who that is; she can become easily fed up and hot-headed, refusing to see reason when someone has wronged her.
Likes/Dislikes: Hasenya likes activities that involve critical thinking, especially when there is some sort of mechanics or architecture involved. She also likes aerobics involving running, climbing, etc. That only excludes swimming, which is one of her primary dislikes aside from an unfinished or half-assed job, especially if it's by her hand.
Aspirations: Hasani wants to correct the timeline. To make sure that the side of good has a goddamn chance where it didn't in her own time by any and all means necessary.
Homeworld: Earth.
Allegiance: Earth's Special Forces
Starting Planet: Earth
Appearance:
Hasenya is tall, lithe, and athletic, built with agility and freedom of movement in mind, or so it would seem. Even with her Brenchian and Saiyan blood, the credit best ought to be given to her own hard work and the work of those who were patient enough to work with and train her. Her hair is long and white with a tinge of red, falling down to the middle of her back. She keeps it in order by tying it up with a large red bow. Her preferred attire is clothing with long sleeves that hugs her form, making her lighter and more maneuverable in and out of combat. Over that she may wear a jacket, or if the situation is extreme she can opt to wear armor.
Underneath all her clothes, however, she is covered nearly from head to toe in horrible burn scars. The scars are at their worst on the upper part of her body, completely covering her arms, most of her torso, and travelling far up enough that parts of her neck and chin are more lightly scarred but still very noticeable. It is because of these scars that she prefers long sleeves to short sleeves, they are an object of some of her deeper insecurities that she would much rather leave mostly hidden.
Backstory:
Times were dark for the people of Earth while Hasenya grew up. The planet could not sustain life, so most were left to roam free space or to hop from planet to planet, failing in each attempt to find safety from the unstoppable evils that had assured the seemingly ultimate and final defeat of the forces of good. People were constantly dying, left and right no matter where you turned, and the death or just plain obliteration of a planet seemed like a common occurrence. Evils greater than the Saiyan Galactic Kingdom were at work, and even they had tried to fight back, only to be reduced from their massive numbers down to a handful. More like an organized tribe and not so much a full-blown kingdom or empire. As futile as fighting back seemed, and as tempting as rolling over and dying was becoming, Hasenya was blessed to be raised among one of the few groups that refused to submit. Her mother was overprotective of her, a better mom than any could ask for in those times, but rather than apply that to sheltering her from the cruel harsh world that surrounded them, she worked to ensure Hasenya had control over her element.
Others pitched in on her training as well while she grew. Some consider teaching to be the best way of learning once they've reached a peak, and Hasenya was more than willing to put forth the effort. Not like there was much else to do when the universe was working towards an inevitable end, really. By the time she was an adult, she was pretty much a Jack of All Trades when it came to close quarters combat.
There was a period of time during Hasenya’s teenage years that the Elemi decided to use her rebellious phase in the most productive way possible, by taking her own ship and going off on her own to explore. Hasenya craved freedom from the overwhelming number of sets of eyes watching over her constantly, despite knowing the good intentions behind the overprotectiveness. Visiting the various planets within her reach that weren't yet dead or obliterated was a refreshing and fun experience for the young Elemi at the time, but with a couple of years of being mostly to her lonesome, there came a point where she had to return home to be with her family.
When she finally reached adulthood, things became even worse than they ever had been before. Whatever dark force that had been operating in the universe destroying all life had decided to make the remnants of the ESF it's target, and by the time it was nearly done killing them all, Hasenya was the sole survivor. The options at that point seemed to be fight back and inevitably be defeated, or roll over and surrender. Hasenya wasn't about to be an idiot like the former, but she wasn't about to be a coward either. She couldn't take the pity from others in the afterlife if she tried to be a hero, and she wouldn't be able to even look them in the face if she surrendered. Fortunately, fate was on her side just this once.. sort of. Hasenya fled to the dead planet that Earth once was, the biggest part of her plan right there with her. Excalibur was retrieved and preserved by the ESF during the initial evacuation, the means of which are a mystery even to her, but it didn't matter. Stories told suggested the weapon had some sentience, and that it embodied hope in some aspects. Even represented it for some people. If it were to live up to such claims, then maybe it would send her back. Back little less than twenty years to set things straight, and to help prepare for what the damned future had in store for all of life.
Everything was set up in a rather dramatic setting. An Earth void of life, a hybrid with a final hope, a holy sword firmly gripped in both hands. Heck, it was almost poetic. If she had paid any mind to it, she would have felt utterly ridiculous. Through the combined force of her own elemental powers, Excalibur’s own holy power, and an extreme exertion of her will for her only wish to be granted, Hasenya learned what it felt like to get burned in probably the most painful way she could have ever imagined. Every minute of it was worth it though, because for every minute she lost she gained another bit of time to make things right. If she couldn't change her own timeline, then she could sure as hell make things better for the people on the other side, and that was more than enough. The price of a few burns was no skin off her nose. The question of whether or not it was worth it could only be answered by time itself.
Techniques
Balanced Tree
Offense Tiers
- [OT-1] Smoke Shot
[25% PL Damage]
[li][VT-1] Impact Incapacitator[/li]
A ball of smoke and embers is hurled into the center of a crowd, and upon impact it explodes asphyxiating those within a reasonable distance of it. This attack is similar to Ember Wave, but is non-lethal in nature and makes for a better crowd-control tool. In a transformed state, this attack is lethal and is more like a fire grenade.
[25% PL Damage + 1 turn stun]
[li][OT-2] Ember Wave[/li]
A concentrated variant of Smoke Shot, performed by holding a Smoke Shot longer than intended by closing the palm over it and then thrusting the hand forward, opening the palm when the arm is fully extended to unleash a shotgun blast of hot embers and thick black smoke. During a transformed state, this attack is fire rather than the weakened smoke.
[50% PL Damage]
Support Tiers
- [ST-1] Dematerialize
[Dodges 100% PL cannot dodge OT-3]
[li][PT-1]Elemental Suppression [/li]
This technique is most easily done by inhaling deeply and clearing mind. Hasenya’s energy signature disappears and, strangely enough, her wounds cease 'bleeding’, or smoking if preferred.
[Power level is hidden until a technique is used. Flavored Ki Suppression.]
[li][PT-1] Flight [/li]
Simple flying technique. Done by channeling Ki energy through the feet.

Roleplay Example:
Hasenya, the last surviving member of the Earth's Special Forces blinked her eyes rapidly, trying to restore her vision. Her ears still rang from the explosion and being half-blinded left her close to helpless. Both her hands wrapped firmly around the hilt of a glowing Excalibur. The ruins of a once major city surrounded her, both it and the sky above her entirely void or life. In front of her, there was a large crater that seemed to travel forward endlessly and golden particles lingered around what could only have been the sight of the aftermath of a massive blast attack. The hybrid breathed a sigh of relief and took this moment or quiet to top back onto her rear to simply rest for a moment. She didn't know for how long her enemy would be down for, but if things were to work out she wouldn't be worrying about it here very soon. Besides, she couldn't have hit them any harder without starting to use her own life force.. Or worse, Excalibur’s life force. Excalibur was the key to all this, after all. Losing it would mean losing the future itself. None would be saved, none would be spared. It was these dark thoughts that made the Elemi shudder and get back on her feet much quicker, albeit very shakily.
”Don't push yourself too hard, Hasenya. You'll need as much energy as possible for your next task..”
Though the sentient being within the blade communicated telepathically, Hasenya could feel the warmth in her voice travel throughout her exhausted body. A level of caring so very great and so very real, it made her miss her mother.
”Yeah, I know.. But time isn't exactly a luxury we've had for the passed.. I don't even know how long now.”
Again, she shuddered. Memories and intrusive thoughts flooded her weary mind. Replaying the last four, five years within the span of mere seconds. Any weaker willed might've broken down under such stresses. She took a deep breath, letting it out shakily. She took hold of Excalibur's handle and freed her tip from the ground, raising her to put the cross guard level with her chest and the blade sticking straight up. Hasenya gripped the handle with all her might, putting every bit of strength she had into it as she began to funnel all of her energy into the holy blade. The blessed metal igniting with intense flames and powerful light energy that would soon engulf the Elemi from her neck to almost down to her toes. Unexpectedly, it hurt more than any blow Hasenya had ever taken in the hundreds of fights she had been in up to that point. Her pale skin felt as if it were boiling, or melting, somethings you wouldn't think a fire Elemi would ever have the displeasure of experiencing unless it were at the hands of another Elemi. She ignored the pain, though. Distracting herself by focusing on what was at stake and what she had already been through to get to this point.
Through sheer spite and determination, Hasenya was gone in a bright flash of light, leaving behind a smoking pit. The war was won, it was just too bad that no one was around to celebrate it anymore.
