Almost like paperwork, Rutaba would be making rounds through the wide, empty streets of a Sadal night. He was in no way bored of it or anything, it was his job that he loved doing, and the quiet of night helped him to think and process things he learned and saw. Truly, nights were anything but a bother and were more a blissful gift without a beating sun overhead. Still, he fashioned his uniform, letting any who would gaze upon his form realize quickly that he was a member of the Sadal defense force who was on guard and ready for anyone who would even try to cause trouble.
But even then the night just seemed perfectly quiet, the entire planet seemed to be, for now. His ki sense was just constantly scanning over the surface of the planet, doing his best to make sure that nobody could sneak up on him or anyone on the planet without first being under the watchful gaze of a peacekeeper. His sword by his side was always glaringly ready as a hand of his rested on his hip, ready to grab it at a moments notice. He didn't expect to use it, not in the slightest, but that didn't mean he could just let his guard down and stop watching anyway. He'd smile to himself, staring at the night sky for a little bit before stopping in the middle of the road, stretching as he started to look around.
As nice as the quiet was, he was wishing that someone or other would be there to keep him company. Oh, how the Peacekeeper missed the simple days where he'd have four squadmates with him all the time to do everything with. Things had truly changed... [PL: 6,152] Nori
Oh, man, his experience in the woods was something that Nori decided he wouldn't want to replicate. Thankfully, he managed to escape without being attacked by his mysterious-ish host Wataya, as done with Nori's shit as she'd seemed, and Nori uneventfully made his way to biggest city on Planet Sadal. Nori had many fond memories of the place - he had grown up there, after all - although it felt a bit weird to approach the city in a body that wasn't his own. Especially with the knowledge that he was housing a bomb in his chest and he could be used as a living weapon at any given moment. Ooch, that's a peachy thought. Nori pushes the thought out of his mind.
Nori's arrival in the city was pretty uneventful, aside from the odd looks he got for not being a Saiyan - which was quite easily noticeable when someone looks at his lack of track-able ki. Now that he was here, though, he figured he might as well checked in on the ol' Sadal Defense Force HQ, or whatever it may be called. As a result, he found himself hovering towards the pretty large building. It was, in retrospect, probably not the greatest execution - a ship flies overhead and completely overshoots the city, followed by an unknown Android storming towards one of the more important locations of the city? Yeah, definitely not an A+ idea, assuming Sadal would have a terrorist problem.
That didn't really stop him, though, and he tore through the sky at high speeds, taking his well-travelled routes to the front door of the building. It wouldn't quite reach his head that he didn't have any kind of ID on him on him. "Oi, Nori here, reporting for duty." He would tell the receptionist. It wasn't someone he knew personally, but they at least knew who Nori was. Perhaps that was what created an issue. The receptionist wrinkled their nose. "Excuse me? I've seen Nori before, and you're not him." Nori tilted his head and gave a bewildered look.
"What makes you say that?" He would attempt. Maybe he could still salvage this scenario. "You have both arms." Was the curt reply, and Nori was struck. Yeah, that would do it. "Please leave, or I'm going to have to charge you with impersonation." The receptionist gave their ultimatum, and studied Nori carefully, waiting for some kind of response. Nori went slack-jawed, before his response turned to anger. "Listen, I am Nori, and if you let me see my team, I can prove it. Let me through." He barked. The receptionist gave a blank expression before giving a call for support that may or may not conveniently reach Rutaba. "I've got an Android attempting to impersonate a member of the Sadal Defense Force. Someone take care of him, please."WC: 470 PL: 30260/6,052
Continuing along his path, Rutaba would just relax as he moved along, a look of peace on his face until he got immediately shoved out of his trance by an alert. The Saiyan would fumble for his communication system and listen in to what was being reported. He thought he had finally found a mission to go on, but honestly the task sounded basic, nothing off-world just something to clean up real quick. He'd make sure all of his equipment was set before replying to the receptionist. "This is Rutaba, I'll be on my way then." he'd only give a brief response, as he wanted to get moving quickly rather than wasting all of his time responding.
With that, his aura would spark up in a sharp yellow haze, showing him enter his Saiyan Soul state as he would just rocket off towards the HQ as fast as he could. It wouldn't take him long to get there, and he'd just land outside of the front door, dropping back into his base form as he would walk inside and stare at the person inside, it was easy to discern who exactly was being talked about, as he just had to focus on who he COULDN'T focus on with Ki sense. "Alright, this is the 'impersonator'...?" he would walk forward, nearing towards the young man who seemed to be bothering the receptionist. He would look him up and down for a bit, thinking about how he wanted to act for a moment before deciding he wanted to take a gentle, understanding approach for now. "Now, I don't want to be quick to judge... if this person is an Android, who is to say they aren't one of our own, just modified? In this day and age, we can pay to get our entire body remodeled in looks, without even becoming an Android." Rutaba would stare at the receptionist with a smirk as he looked back towards the boy who seemed to want in for whatever reason.
"I am not an expert on Android modification, but even if they aren't ACTUALLY a member of the SDF, that in no way invalidates the fact that they may think they are one now. This Android could very well have been designed to believe they are this person. So let's hear him out." the Peacekeeper would give a small wink to the boy before looking back to the receptionist with a smile. "Let's give him a chance to prove himself before just throwing him out on the streets, not like he is causing a big ruckus." he'd nod to the receptionist once before turning his gaze back towards the young man, setting his hand on his shoulder. "I'll stay right by him the entire time too, so don't worry about him causing any problems if he decides to do so. I'll be right there in that case. But what say you, sir, what can you do to show us of your identity." the Peacekeeper would cock his head to the side, letting his hand slip off the man's shoulder to let him freely do whatever he wished to do.

Nori was, quite simply, flabbergasted. Support? Called on him? That had never happened before, and the idea that he could end up a criminal of some kind blew his mind. "E-Excuse me?" Nori began, giving a spiteful look. He was about to give this poor receptionist a piece of his mind, when, suddenly, another voice interrupted.
"Alright, this is the 'impersonator'...?" The voice suddenly rang behind him and Nori jerked his head around to get a good look. It wasn't someone that Nori knew personally, unfortunately, which didn't bode well for him. It was almost as though Xeno himself gave Nori a nod, however, when the stranger stated he didn't want to be 'quick to judge,' and laid out a possibility that was eerily similar to what had happened to Nori. He would swiftly turn to give the receptionist the stink eye before giving a grin in Rutaba's direction. "Thank you." Came Nori's huffed reply, still clearly upset over the accusation flung at him. It was good to see someone still had some sense. It's possible some objective part of Nori's mind realized their concerns were pretty reasonable, but he ignored it regardless.
The tables were swiftly switched on him, however, when his 'ally' turned to him to ask for some kind of identification. Once again, reasonable, but it still freaked out Nori given. By this point, he was very much aware that he didn't have any real kind of ID. "W-Well..." Nori began, giving a bit of a stutter, "Any kind of SDF identification I had was with my... er, other body." Nori offered, somewhat nervously. "I could... describe something that only Nori could know, though." Nori would talk quickly, attempting to perform damage control on the situation. "I lost my arm after a training session to try and power up. I got careless on the mission and got hit with an attack that burned my arm off." Nori got huffy of all things, which was almost impressive, given that he was talking about how he lost his arm. "It wasn't even a difficult attack to dodge. It came from right in front of me. I had time to react and everything."
With the explanation came a certain bitterness that he would need to be a very good actor to fake. He promptly folded his arms and pouted. "Uh... Anything else you want me to toss at you? That's all that comes to mind." Nori tiptoed around an explanation. Oh, yeah, that's all I know to prove my innocence. Nice going, Nori.WC: 423 TWC: 893 PL: [30260/6,052]
Rutaba would stare at how flustered the man seemed to get as he asked for identification. It appeared that he didn't exactly have legal identification on him but, that didn't ENTIRELY matter, it just made this whole process a lot more iffy to get through in the end. Rutaba would nod along with what the boy was saying, for now, not interrupting him just so the boy could get all that he needed to off of his chest. He surely seemed sincere about it all, and even if this boy was in no way related to who he claimed to be, at the very least he was based on them, and that couldn't be his fault in any way.
"I don't exactly want anything else tossed out in terms of proving yourself, it's fine..." Rutaba would give a soft sigh, it was relaxed rather than condescending or irritated as he just looked up in thought. "Now... I don't exactly know the records of the person you say you are, to validate anything you said personally. But, you do seem very adamant on being them either way. Whether you REALLY are or not... I'd say you are in no way a problem for us." Rutaba would smile lightly. As he said before, this boy could very well be an Android designed to perfectly mimic the SDF member he thought he was, just memories and personality implanted to think they are what it was. This didn't come off as an impersonator in any way to him, but rather just somebody trying to live the life they believed they led.
"Now, what exactly are you here for, Nori? I understand that you may want to get in buuut... what is waiting inside for you that you feel the need to get to? I'd gladly accompany you there, so even if others don't believe you, you are a guest of a member of the SDF either way." Rutaba would drop his gaze down to look at the boy once more, he was trying his best not to be pushy, but, he had to admit that whoever this Android was, he couldn't just let him run off on his own. "If you are looking to get back into the SDF as well... I'd say that is fine, I am sure they would let you enter. Don't exactly HAVE to be a pure Saiyan to have the desire to protect the Universe, right?" Rutaba would lightly nudge the boy with a bit of a wink. After he had met a Supreme Kai he knew very well that it wasn't just down to Saiyan's alone to protect everything... they would need many allies, it couldn't hurt having an Android who was literally one of their own already, could it?
I'M TOO YOUNG, TOO SMART AND TOO GOOD-LOOKING TO DIE.
Nori was very much relieved that Rutaba believed his story, especially given that, if he hadn't, Nori would have been well and truly screwed. "Thank you!" He would explain during Rutaba's not-condescending sigh. Well, step one accomplished, and with one less trip to Planet Frost than he expected to take. He certainly wouldn't complain about that, especially given the feeling that he wouldn't be welcome on Frost for the time being. Beating someone up would do that.
"Now, what exactly are you here for, Nori?" Nori appreciated the gesture of offering to accompany Nori to spare him some grief, but he realized with a bit of a start that he didn't really know what exactly he was here for. It had just seemed like the natural place to go after returning to Sadal. When the option of rejoining the SDF was pitched to him, Nori gave an excited grin and almost opened his mouth to give a Yes, and maybe a hell yes, but, as he did, his expression would suddenly bleach - an impressive feat, given how pale he already was - and closed his mouth slowly.
Of course rejoining the SDF wasn't a good idea. When Nori looked at all of the potential problems that brings up, it was almost an idiotic idea. First of all, if his 'benefactors' - if he even wished to call them that - needed anything, he would be forced to drop everything and go in fear for his own life. And, honestly, that was the bigger issue - with a bomb in his chest, he couldn't guarantee that he wouldn't be used as, say, a suicide attacker or something if he attacked the 'wrong' faction. Really, Nori could be set off any time by a freak malfunction or if he screws up anything he didn't know about. The thought of it honestly made him want to just hide away from everyone else.
"N-No, I'm good on rejoining." Nori explained, giving a nervous and apologetic grin. "I have... other obligations." Nori's demeanor would become a whole lot more timid than his confrontational attitude earlier. The sudden change could be almost dizzying. "I was just hoping to explain to my squad that I'm going to be gone a little bit, and... not to look for me." Man, that wouldn't sound shady at all. And, too late, Nori realized that his appearance didn't even match up with his old body, so they might not even believe it was him anyway. Ah, hell. Still worth a shot, though.WC: 417 TWC: 1310 PL: [30260/6,052]
Seeing how the young man's face seemed to light up at the offer of rejoining the SDF made Rutaba smile lightly, he knew it'd be no really easy feat but it was something to try if they could. He would smirk back softly, content with the level of excitement the man seemed to give off. It seemed that the Peacekeeper was able to make somebodies day, least, that was what he thought for an all too short while. Rutaba's own smirk would fade away seeing how the boy's expression would fade into darkness, in a way, the excited boy he had just seen becoming a shell of its former self. The Peacekeeper would just stare at the young man with a sort of worried look, not asking for the time being as he didn't want to trigger a harsh reaction from him if there was something seriously wrong going through his mind. It was for the best if he just eased Nori into a question later.
For now, he just waited for the boy to speak, nodding softly and trying to be as understanding as possible. "That is quite alright, whatever you have to do takes priority over this. Maybe once those obligations are through, you can take some time to rejoin us here." he'd speak calmly and just smile at the young man once more, he didn't want to disturb Nori, if he could help it. The Android seemed to be really off-balance in the way he presented himself now, he had practically gone reverse of what he was just a moment ago. The young man kept speaking a bit longer, Rutaba staring at him the entire time, allowing him to finish before nodding a little bit. "I see... there is no harm in that." he would lean against the receptionist's desk to look down at them. "Could you put out a call to Nori's squad? No matter what is going on, I am sure they would love to see him for a little bit." he would smile at the receptionist before standing back up to stare at Nori.
"I am sorry to pry, but, is something the matter with these... obligations of yours? I understand if you'd rather keep them to yourself, but someone doesn't just ask to not be looked for without a reason driving them to do so. And usually, it's not exactly good." he'd stare at Nori with a serious look in his eyes, not trying to be pushy just yet, but rather just letting him know that it felt a lot more serious than was being let on. The look of joy that was wiped off of Nori's face previously didn't help his thoughts either, as all of this went from good to a sort of worrisome bad at this point. "You're standing in the walls of probably this galaxy's largest peacekeeping facility. You don't need to worry about talking to other's about stuff here." he'd try to be as reassuring as possible, he had no idea what could be going through this Android's head and what they could be thinking. He just had to be as supportive as possible.
I'M TOO YOUNG, TOO SMART AND TOO GOOD-LOOKING TO DIE.
Nori was pretty thankful Rutaba hadn't pressed into whyhe was panicking yet. Was he capable of answering? Sure. Did he want to? No, not really. There's something just a little disconcerting about the prospect of informing people that you are, in fact, a walking fucking kamikaze. "I would love to be able to rejoin later, just... not now." Well, at least that window was still open. Nori couldn't complain about that. Maybe once he did manage to get some semblance of freedom, he would take him up. It's not like he disliked being on the SDF.
Fortunately, Rutaba handled having his squad called. That set his mind a little more at ease. He would feel better if he didn't just leave them all hanging. They had stuck with him all through his... issues with his arm, or lack thereof, and it didn't feel right to at least offer some kind of explanation. Nori settled on responding with a nod in Rutaba's direction. Edgy and a bit lackluster, but it would do.
"I am sorry to pry, but, is something the matter with these... obligations of yours?" Ah. There it was. Nori had been dreading that question. He gave a nervous chuckle in response. "W-Well..." He began, before giving a pause - Should I tell him? He hasn't done anything to indicate that he's a bad person, but it could be a ploy by those people on Frost or something. For now, he'd give Rutaba half of the truth and see where that got him. "Well... For now, I'll just explain that my being here is a risk to both me and everyone else. I was hoping for this to be an in-and-out visit." Nori explained, giving an apologetic smile at his vague answer.
Before long, though, his squad would come stomping out of an elevator, desperately looking for their lost comrade - and being surprised to only see a somewhat scrawny-looking figure in the room alongside Rutaba. Nori gave a slight wave upon seeing them. It was a group of four, and some were definitely more willing to believe it was Nori than others. Two of them - a pair of two guys, one pretty short and buff while one was taller and more ripped - immediately ran up to him, while the other two hung back a bit, as though expecting a trap.
"What happened to you, Nori? You've got both arms again!" Ignoring the idea that Nori looked entirely different - which Nori was sure was the joke - was the shorter of the two. Nori did back up a little bit, though, as though worried to get around them, and began to speak. "So,I, uh... I underwent transformation into an Android." Nori prefaced. "In return, though, I need to do a few favors for them and so I'm going to be gone for a long while. I don't know when I'll be back, but, uh, don't worry! I'm fine." Nori explained, giving a halfhearted attempt at a grin. "On that note, though..." One of the two who initially approached Nori was about to aska question, but Nori suddenly stated before storming out of the building, suddenly eager to get away from them.
Well, I haven't blown up and killed them yet. Nori scoffed. That's a good start. Back in the building, though, Nori's squad just looked bewildered of all things. There were a few quiet whispers here and there about what they would do, before the taller member of the team finally spoke. "Nori probably has a reason he's not going to be around. We'll have to take his word on coming back later, and, until then, we'll just have to made do." His word was apparently law, and the others took it without question. A few still considered darting off after Nori, but they by that point that he was too far gone. Plus, having unsenseable energy helped.
Although, Nori wasn't too far away, instead laying about on the roof of a building. If someone looked or had more questions, they could find him.WC: 673 TWC: 1983 PL: [30260/6,052]
The moment that the Android began to speak, Rutaba just felt the awkwardness in the air. Even if he was replying... it just felt like he didn't want to in the end. Either way, Rutaba would just nod along to what Nori was saying with a slight smile. "It's alright, that is more than enough. I promise I won't waste more of your time than is needed if you shouldn't be here." Rutaba was a bit worried about why the boy had said he was a risk to everyone else as well because that meant that even while the two were speaking to one another, that they were at risk of something bad happening at any moment. This, however, was something that the Saiyan knew he'd have to get a handle on at some point or another. There would always be situations where someone or other was threatening something. In those situations, it just turns out that being calm, relaxed, and trying to talk through it carefully is the best course of action.
It didn't take much waiting for the Android's old squad to arrive, and just looking at them reminded the boy of his own squad back before he was left all on his own. Even the numbers all added up for him in this case. Seeing how diverse they all were made him chuckle a bit, smiling to himself as he saw two guys run up to Nori, they seemed quite happy to see him despite everything. Even with the negative tone in the air, the Peacekeeper couldn't help but be happy for them all, and just looked upon the group with a bit of joy, however, jaded with a small bit of envy. Both Nori and Rutaba had reasons for themselves to no longer be with their teams, but three members of Rutaba's team were dead, and the other was nothing more than a backstabbing traitor that had killed them all and made an attempt on his own life. In the end, he sort of wished that it was just duty keeping him from his team, rather than the barrier of life and death.
Either way, the Saiyan peacekeeper would stare at their interactions with a soft smile on his face, waiting for them to be done for the time being. It seemed that there weren't many hard feelings between them all even with what seemed to have happened. The Saiyan still wanted to know a bit more about what favors the Android had to do for whoever made his body, as he really did seem on edge at every moment. Even how the Android reacted as they got closer made him feel like something was really wrong with how he had backed up. The Peacekeeper was more worried about the boy than anything else but he knew that he couldn't push it, answers would come with time.
It seemed that the conversation was falling apart quite early for now, as Nori just stormed out of the building and ran away. Rutaba would make a run after Nori but stopped as he realized he had lost him before the chase even began. He would just turn to look at the rest of Nori's Squad, it seemed that in some way or another, they were going to leave the Android be. The Peacekeeper would nod to them as they seemed to be done for now, and he would make his way out of the building, floating upwards and looking around. He cursed the idea of not having a Scouter for a situation like this, and just began to move about, scanning far and wide to see if he could find the Android boy.
After a while of moving around, the Peacekeeper would finally spot the Android atop of a building, and he would sigh as he dropped to land near him. "I have no idea why you would run off like that, but I am sure you have your reasons..." with that, he would hold his hand out to Nori, seeing if he would grab his hand. If the Android did, Rutaba would pull him to his feet if he was allowed to. If not, well, he'd just keep talking anyway. "Look, I am sure whatever your obligations are, you can spare a minute or two from it to spend with others. If you really weren't allowed to, I bet you would have stayed faaar away from that place, and just been running to do your errands. Let alone laying around on a rooftop. Or, hell, let me help you out with whatever you have to do, I am sure two sets of hands can get it done faster than yours alone." the Saiyan really had no idea what he was getting himself into, or what even this android had in mind. For all he knew, this Android could be sent to kill all of the leaders in every major government in the galaxy. But, he wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, to help him get to where he could freely join the SDF once more.
"Whatever you have to face, you don't have to do it alone. I am sure your Squad would love to help you out as well. If it means they get to spend more time with you again I am sure they would jump on the opportunity in a heart beat~" The Saiyan Peacekeeper would give a reassuring grin, before pausing himself to see what Nori had to say about all of this. Afterall, in the end, the Android had a say so of what exactly could be done with this situation, if he wanted Rutaba to leave him alone, the Saiyan could do nothing but stand back and let time pass by.
