It was time for the hunt... and the prey would be quite resilient indeed... Metalmen, from what he'd heard from his long-dead hunter companions, were quite tough indeed. With bodies on par with the strongest metals in the universe and strength that is respected and honored, they'd make the perfect prey for a budding hunter such as he... Slamming into the planet's surface from within his space-pod, the wolf kicked the door open, the contraption slamming upon the earth. The weathered, experienced beast pulled himself from his seat and out into the moonlight, his fur awash with the silver shine of the cosmic body. Umarugogue's wolven features curled upwards into a sinister grin as, right there before him, stood a small platoon of the robotic entities, curious as to the creature that crashed upon their world.
"Hawh..." The creature laughed, his eyes flashing a sickly green. "The prey comes..." The creature took a step... then another, his smoking black ki flaring up around him, almost like it spilled out of his pours. With every move the being made towards the metalmen, they took a step back, shuffling back from his overwhelming might. This amused him... they confront him then back away like the curious little sheep they were... Even with the notable size difference with this prey being nearly twice his size on average!
Suddenly, the wolf disappeared before his prey's eyes, only for the one in front to suffer one of the worst kinds of agony: The sensation of sharp, rough claws digging into one's eyes. The next time the beast was seen was the last time for this being, Umarugogue latching himself onto the being's hide, his claws ripping at it's eyes, mouth, leaving long and deep cuts into it's hide... With a sound that could've been a scream the creature fell with it's attacker's teeth in what passed for it's neck, the metal by which the creature got it's name crumbling and crunching under his vice grip.
The creature struggled, managing to hook it's massive barrel-like hand under Umarugogue's body, shoving him off but not before the creature ripped off a good chunk of it's jaw. Umarugogue spat out the metalic skin with distaste, seemingly unbothered by the monstrous heat that came with the metalman's interior... As far as they were concerned, the wolf was immune to their lava... it was far too weak to effect him now... Now that he was effectively their doom.
He cocked his head, surprised the rest of his prey didn't attack. Did they care not their apparent leader got maimed so horribly...? And that expression on their faces... Umarugogue could never read Metalmen and their stagnate expressions. All he could tell was that they were cocking their heads back, the window in the center of their chests revealing their insides bubbling and writhing...
"Fearful scrapheaps..." The wolf growled, raising his monstrous claws above his head. "You're not worthy of the hunt... Perhaps your kin will be worth the effort."
Throwing his arms to the down, countless spires of ki exploded from beneath the metal creatures, thin but tougher and sharper than they were. They were thrown into the air, impaled upon the stakes, their lava blood and steam-breath bursting from their wounds quite artistically.
"Grrr..." The hunter growled, walking up to his prey and peeling off a small strip of metalman hide. His fur combusted the moment it touched his palm but he seemed not to notice, too busy observing its composition with contempt...
What a disappointment. Perhaps I shall just exterminate them... Yardrat is full of psychics... Perhaps them next.
Umarugogue tossed the piece of metalman flesh back over his shoulder as the spires disappeared, leaving their bodies to collapse in a heap on the ground. He took his time prowling to the nearest collection of metal-creatures were, the smell of molten metal and rock giving themselves away. They had one last chance before the hunter came to his decision... if their next set of defenses weren't more suitable to a hunt, then this planet would become a barren wasteland...
If they met his expectations then... well... he'd leave enough alive to toy with when he needed recreation.
