The Magi
Starting Planet: Free Space, but usually Earth
Starting Power: 2000
Created by Flare
Appearance: Depending on the race the Magi is from will determine their looks entirely. Most are humans as far as history is concerned, but many aliens and halfbreeds have muddled into the spell casting innate in the Magi. Many might take to donning robs and olden fashion in the name of looking the part while some may just wear anything they normally would elsewhere. Magi do not give off Ki in incredible amounts and are instead going to be surrounded by auras of magic when they power up. Get creative, it's magic stuff.
Any offspring with blood of a Magi can choose, upon creation, to become a Magi or progress as they normally would if that wasn't in the picture. In this sense any new characters, regardless of race, could potentially be a magus. In a sense though, All Magi are hybrids mechanically, taking their hybrid racial from their parent class and then all these racials in full as well.
Background: Lost in the oldest teachings on Earth were said to be legends of wizards and sorcerers. Those innately gifted with magical force radically different from what is normally seen today. Before the days in which being the strongest warrior was popular many secret sects used to perform magical rituals and emulate the creation of the gods that made the worlds. They kept to themselves in those olden times due to persecution and ignorance of their cause. Still, they lived through the ages, eventually creating a bloodline that physically manifested into their children.
Modern day, there is no longer a need for the secret groups (inb4 Illuminati) of those times. Many places are now known to harbor the bloodline of these ancient mages, waiting to be untapped. A sparse amount of these individuals have found their magic reawakened and embraced by a universe saturated with warriors. They fit right on in, if not actually exceeding in this now open environment. It all comes and goes as naturally as power would to a saiyan.

Unique Characteristics:
Hybrid Race - Every person with magi blood is also of another race. Magi must choose one of the following racial traits at character creation. The Magi list is restricted to these races. If you desire a race that is not on this list, PM staff with an explanation for why you think that race might have Magical Abilities worth consideration for the Magi race.
Konatsian Mage (10% Melee Finesse at Start w/ a Sword, +5% Dodge Bonus at Level 3 and +10% Dodge Bonus at Level 5. Sword Based OT's are 5% harder to block.)
Dragon Clan Namekian Mage (+1 Regeneration of a Limb at Levels 1/3/5/7, Starts with PT-1 Magic Materialization and ST-1 Healing Hands. Can't benefit from Namekian Fusion BUT can fuel someone else's Fusion. Flexibility Racial adds an undodgeable effect to a Basic Melee once per level.)

Bijou Mage (Lifespan of 200-500 years. +5% to One-Shot Kill Threshold at Level 1 (10% at Level 2, 15% at Level 3, 20% at Level 4). Immune to Burn/Poison/Bleed Effects.)
Elemi Mage (+1x to Offensive PL along with +5% to OT's at Level 3, +5% to PL Gains, 1 use of Diverse Elements once at Levels 1/3/5/7)
Earthling Mage (+1 OT and ST at character creation. Gain another OT at Level 4 and another ST at Level 5. +250 Starting Zeni. 10% Discount on all Shop Purchases.)
Kold Demon Mage (Can breathe in space, +10% to Durability per Level. +5% to PL Gains when not using Transformations.)
Brenchian Mage (+1x Defensive PL when not on Brench or not in Gravity Training, and +10% to Speed one time per level! +10% to Gravity Training Threads, but must start immediately at 30x.)
Demon Mage (+15% to Technique Power one time per level, 1 free technique at character creation, and Demonic Gateway)
[Magi Start with +1 Maximum Stamina, Allowing their Stamina to Cap at 6 rather than 5 like the usual character. This means they initially start with 4 stamina.]
Arcane Recovery - Magi use Magic and not Ki, which means they draw on an external power source to some extent when they fight. This makes it harder for them to run out of stamina, and thus they are deadly opponents.
(Can recover 1 stamina even if using a technique ONCE per level!)
Magic, not Ki - Due to the nature of their abilities Magi are not detected the same way as ki users.
[Ki sense cannot pick up anything beyond 10,000 PL on Magi as beyond that they all feel the same. Scouters, however, can still get a good read on them as nowadays models are adapted to the weird form of power. However Magi cannot use Strike-Based Offensive Techniques (SOT's)!]
Conversion: Anyone from the listed races can convert to Magic if they wish to forsake their training, but they will lose all transformations and any Strike-Based OT's that they have learned (meaning they will start with the initial x4 PERM Novice trans no matter their power level). Only the Dragon Balls can restore someone to their non-magic form once this change has been made. They must purchase the Novice Magic Tome for 10,000z instead of 5,000z!
Transformations:
Appearances on Transformations: Unlike standard fighters the Magi's transformations are subtle and usually have no change whatsoever. These ranks are nominally shown to be leaps in power as one learns how to focus and hone in on the deepest essences of magic. If there is a change in how the character may look then feel free to describe it as you wish. Do note that any physical change shouldn't be size changing, anatomy changing, or the likes. Glowing eyes, persistent auras, and the likes are acceptable changes for users of the art that show their face.
Novice - {Requires 5k Zeni to Purchase the Novice Magical Tomes} [x4 Perm]
Apprentice - {Requires 10k Zeni to Purchase the Apprentice Magical Tomes} [x11 Perm]
Adept - {Requires 15k Zeni to Purchase the Adept Magical Tomes} [x22 Perm]
Expert - {Requires 20k Zeni to Purchase the Expert Magical Tomes} [x33 Perm]
Master - {Requires 40k Zeni to Purchase the Expert Magical Tomes} [x44 Perm]
