“Ugh, it’s no use! There isn’t anything on how to using ki in combat! I’ve looked everywhere!”
Demalia lay her head down on her desk, her hands reached up and grabbing onto her pigtails. Demalia had been looking for any kind of information on how to use ki in a combat scenario. Unfortunately she had found nothing even remotely similar to the kind of training that she wanted. Oh, there were classes to teach you how to use a firearm, but nothing about applying ki to it, or a fighting style that came attached with it.
<I’m too strong for my own good it seems… It’s clear no one on this world will be able to help me train. I might have to pay a visit to Sadal in the near future. The Saiyans are familiar with fighting for self defense and noble causes. I wish I didn’t have to learn any of this….. ugggh! I hate fighting!>
Demalia shut her laptop, spinning herself around in the swivel chair and hopped to her feet. Even if she actually did like fighting, it was going to be hard for her to learn how to properly do that. Most Tuffles weren’t interested in fighting, and the ones that were didn’t fight like everyone else. Even the most basic things like using ki to fly weren’t normally used in everyday life in Tuffle society. Demalia certainly didn’t expect to have to learn fighting techniques and get stronger, since it didn’t have that many practical applications on the career path she wanted to go down. However…
<I can’t let stronger beings walk all over me and the rest of the Tuffles. I’ve got to get stronger for my own survival, as well as for the sake of other Tuffles as well!>
Demalia walked out the quiet study room that she had in the underground lab under her mansion, her footsteps echoing through the long corridors. The lab itself had been constructed by her family across a few generations. Each new family member made modifications to it and added onto it. With their own creations aiding in the construction, the underground lab now spanned about half the size of the family mansion.
Demalia found her way over to the entrance of her lab’s landing zone,, pressing her palm against the scanner to open the door. She made her way over towards her ship, which was state of the art and came equipped with thrusters, a cloaking device, and a gravity chamber. That last one made Demalia think back to that strange Saiyan that had come to her door demanding that she injected him with a syringe with an unknown substance in it.
<I’m glad I checked what it was first. I managed to buy some time by telling him that the material was unstable and that I would need time to purify it. It works, but it’s something that shouldn’t be injected at all. To think T=that Saiyan planned on using something that dangerous… did he even know what he wanted me to inject into his body?>
Demelia had done a quick cross reference check of the substance in question while the Saiyan was making use of her gravity chamber. She was instantly glad that she had done so. The substance was known as Zenom. It was a virus that infected the body and altered it drastically. It was hard to come by normally.
<I don't think I want to know where he got it. Considering how he was acting, He was strange for a Saiyan. I heard they were essentially freedom fighters. Why was this Saiyan so willing to fight innocent people? It doesn’t make any sense.>
Demalia had come to a decision. She gave it a lot of thought, and decided that she would travel to Planet Sadal. She wanted to know more about the Saiyans. Information from other sources wasn’t enough for her to get a clear picture of things. And that Saiyan had certainly muddled with her perception of them. Not to mention there was another important incentive for her to go there.
<I’m sure I could find someone to teach me how to fight and utilize my powers to their full potential. I wish I didn’t have to but… I fear that someone will not back down when I power up. This trip is risky… but I have to go!>
Taking a deep breath, Demalia climbed the ramp into her ship, and made her way up to the cockpit. She moved her hand towards the scanner to turn it on, hesitating once her hand got within a couple of feet of it. She was going out into space again, not knowing what may in store for her. Despite how much power she had, she was still worried as to what might happen out there.
Her hand shaking, Demalia pressed her palm against the scanner. The ship responded to her, powering up and triggering the landing zone exit. Demalia flew up the tunnel and up into the sky, soaring past the atmosphere and into the darkness of space once again. The Tuffle hybrid was now on course towards the Saiyan homeworld, not knowing what the future would have in store for her.
