Bernael would be standing by the same pool of water that he had taken a liking to ever since he had arrived down in hell. He didn't kill any Souls while he remained there, so any that could wander in there and see him would know this as his territory by now. The demon was in no way hostile to those that came, but they knew he wasn't going to leave this spot unless he had to go looking for something. There was no reason for his actions, he just felt a special connection to the pool of bloody water. It was where Diana had come down to greet him and take him to the Upper Worlds to give him guidance. It was where he sensed Cornatto when the Saiyan arrived and went to go meet to talk about the tournament of power. The pool was not connected to either of those events, but the familiarity of that spot in both events had drawn him to the spot by then.
Nonetheless, it was also a fairly secluded spot to train in hopes that he wouldn't harm any lingering souls that wandered in. He knew he needed to get stronger, and even though his efforts had all but stalled for the time being he felt that it was because of the environment of hell holding him back. The Demon wasn't growing all that fast as he felt that he should but he knew that he was growing nonetheless. All he had to hope for was a little spark in his drive, he was sure to get there eventually. All that was really driving him forward at that point was the idea that there was a power beyond what he currently had. He saw it with his aunt when she turned into that massive Dragon creature. He had that kind of power boiling within him somewhere, he had to. He would need it to protect the Universe better, however, the more immediate need of such a form was hiding within the Tournament of Power. Surely the other Universe would have powerful fighters that he would need such a form against.
But all of that would have to come soon enough, as for the time being, he would train as hard as he could. Maybe he could force such a power up out of himself with raw power, he had only once seen the form but in the end, he had no idea what exactly forced it out of his Aunt. All he knew was that it existed and it was what he had to shoot for. In the event that he couldn't draw such a power out of himself, he just had to continue training in hopes that he would get strong enough to matter in the tournament to come. He would shake his head and stare into the crimson pool after all of that thought, however, as he had more immediate and pressing matters to take care of. He had until the tournament began to figure out what to do.
He would move over to the side of the lake once more, staring at his reflection. Despite the blood-red hue that the pool gave to his reflection, he felt a sense of calmness and peace when staring at himself. The demon had been down there for so long that the looks of hell didn't even put him off any longer. This had become his home for now, and he was going to accept it that way. He no longer held disdain for it either, his experience with the Grand Supreme Kai showed him that he wasn't just some fool to be looked down upon with this kind of punishment if anything it was just a challenge for him to overcome. Not too long ago the half-breed was looking into those bloody waters with sadness and hate in his eyes, and now they held nothing but determination. "Okay, let's go again. Full power!" Bernael would yell out into the sky, transforming into his Demon King form as his aura created a beacon in the sky as he kept trying to power up further. Lightning would flicker on and off of his body as his power kept raising further before he realized he was doing nothing more than weighing himself down with forced power. This was going to do nothing for him in the long run, as he would calm himself down and let his power return to normal. His hair would then flop back down into its regular crimson color and form, a look of sorrow on his face for a second before shaking his head. "I can't get down about this. But I am not going to get any stronger standing by a pool and shouting at things. I need to find something to do." he'd put his body into a resting position and fully commit to powering down so that his power was at a more focused resting state. With his power contained, the demon would float upwards and begin to fly out into the depths of hell.
Who or what would he find out there on that day? Only time would tell. [Base: 334,214] [Demon King: 7,018,494] [Resting Power (Suppressed): 100,000]
A small, lone yellow cloud would float across hell's landscape with no clear direction in mind, simply waiting for her time to be "cleansed". She had no body with which to train, no limbs to punch or legs to kick... She had no idea how she could even SEE without eyes or... anything for that matter. She had nothing more than her bored little consciousness trapped in this formless shape, floating along at a despicably slow speed as she surveyed this empty plane. Kami almighty, this place was boring... She didn't even know if she could sense energy without a body, not that she hadn't been trying. Either this place was so huge and functioning bodies were so few and far between down here that there was nothing to sense or she simply couldn't sense without HER body...
"Stupid desk-giant..." The Majin pouted frustrated by her perdicament. "Sending me down here with nothing to do..." Truly the meaning of hell for any majin worth their ki. She couldn't STAND the state she was left in. She felt so crippled, so cut off from everything that made her who she was before: Her power, her good looks, her ability to look cute while she beat her foes into jelly! All that was left was a mind in a formless body that couldn't even move decently fast. "...Leaving me like this... 'could've at least given me my body back or something..."
A week or so (she couldn't even tell if it's even been THAT long... the sky was obscured in clouds) and Liari was bored out of her mind. Nothing to do here but float... She floated for several hours at a time and she couldn't even sleep her time away considering this cloudy form didn't require nor was capable of rest. She'd simply stop moving... trying to quiet her thoughts. If she could have just a moment of quiet to recouperate or something, meditate and relax then maybe she could find the strength to go on! For a while it worked. Time passed by quicker (she thought) and she remained relatively up-beat considering her situation. She was careful to avoid the odd ogre that patrolled these planes, mind wandering to the goings on of the world of the living...
She'd never see Laezi again... That ruined her day. As she floated aimlessly across a blazing crag, the majin couldn't help but imagine the happiest times the two of them shared together, a ruthless stab to the heart she no longer possessed... In this world of boredom and numbing emptiness that was her Hell, any intense emotion was as prized as zeni. She pictured the two of them holding eachother, hugging one another as close as they possibly could after having reunited after losing each-other on a massive barren moon not too unlike this place. She remembered how badly she'd cried just minutes before hand, all but given up hope only days after having lost her other half... It had crippled her so bad back then...
And it was starting too now. Tears could not flow from a cloud fore she no longer possessed the appropriate parts but the little lonely cloud sobbed softly in spirit, the chest she didn't have clenching tightly.... The true realization of the empty world she now resided in drilled home finally after all this time, the knowledge that she was going to be wiped away at the end of her torture didn't help things... Liari attempted to stifle her sobs, choking them back along with her sorrow, trying to retreat back into her meditative state before it became all she felt in this worthless void.
So much of her attention was occupied, the lone spirit had failed to notice the shadow of a demon fly above her... the first and only life-form that passed this close since she arrived.

The halfbreeds flying continued for quite some time, he had no clue what he was searching for per say, but he was just exploring for the time being. It all came to a halt, however, when he heard the soft sounds of agony that could only come from another person. He would stop and slowly scan the ground before his eyes would fall upon the form of a small spirit cloud. They were common around the pits of hell, those who had yet to regain their body sort of like himself when he first arrived. It was unusual for one to be crying, however, least in his experience most were just angry at their deaths. Just like him, this one seemed to feel a sort of anguish for being placed there. Though he had no real way to know what exactly this spirit cloud was sad about, there could be any number of reasons to feel agony over the situation.
Without so much as a word so far, the Demon would descend to land in front of the small cloud, kneeling down to stare at it. It was still hard to get used to the fact that any kind of person could be inside of a cloud like this, literally anything could appear if this being regained its body. It left a sense of mystery to every cloud that appeared in hell or the upper worlds but that wasn't the point of why he was investigating it for the time being. He was searching for something to do for the time being and this sad, crying cloud would give him something to do for the most part.
"Is anything the matter? Is hell treating you poorly?" the demon would speak sort of briefly and softly to the little floating cloud, his eyes blinking a bit. He wasn't scared of what could be inside of the cloud, per say, as the cloud itself would be more than harmless currently. He would have to worry about that later. "You'll get used to it. It's really not that bad once you get your body back. You can do pretty much everything you could in life." he would smile a bit, trying to console the cloud a little bit even though he really didn't know why it was sad, he could only guess similarly to why he was sad at first. He would then stand up and look around, scanning the horizons of hell to see if there was anyone else around. It seemed pretty barren and he would scratch the back of his head a little bit.
"Though if that isn't it, I can try to help. I'm pretty much alone down here too for the most part, so I'm sure we could find something to do." he would smirk as he stared down at the little cloud once more. He didn't have much else to say to it for the time being, as he still needed to see why exactly it WAS sobbing. All he had to do was wait for the clouds response.
Liari flinched (or do the cloud equivalent) as a figure descended in front of her from seemingly out of nowhere, his towering form kneeling down so that he was about eye-ish level with her... The two of them said nothing for a few seconds, just staring at each other as the majin's sobs fell to a dead stop... W-where did he come from...? He didn't look like any of the ogres that patrolled this place... He was a lot nicer looking... less monstrous and more human-like... It was such a welcome sight to see something that looked vaguely NORMAL down here... All of her normal abrasiveness went right out the window as she stared up in awe at the man that came to her rescue, blushes appearing on her cheeks if she were capable of such things... After being left so long in this isolated place with nothing but her thoughts and the ogres... She was thankful for ANYONE to come talk to her. Perhaps it was the after effects of her isolation but the man that crouched before her... He was handsome... She never had a word for it before... She was so bad at those but Kuuyomi knew... She had the word... and some of the attraction. She had no stomach but she felt butterflies bubble up in there as the two of them continued to stare at one another for quite an awkward amount of time, Liari keeping her trap as shut as could be lest all these weird feelings stumble out of her mouth before she could stop him. The man seemed so curious about her and that only flustered the spirit more... Out of all the others that possibly existed out here, why was he so interested in her...? She wasn't the first dead and wondering soul down here he's seen.... was she...?
Finally, the man spoke, his voice gentle and soft as as he inquired in Hell was treating her poorly. She honestly didn't know whether to laugh, be angry or cry at such a remark, unable to tell if he was being sarcastic... Didn't it treat everyone badly...? The endless loneliness, the boring void-of-a-plain, the knowledge that one day the ogres would come and strip you of everything you are only to be recycled in a body you would never recognize? But... But he didn't sound like he was making such a cruel joke... He sounded genuine...? Maybe he was new here like she was...? Or maybe a very old inhabitant... It was so hard to tell... He looked so young. And cute...
"I... um..." She stuttered, unable to conjure up a coherent response. She hated being seen in such a weak state... She hated being seen like this PERIOD but she wasn't just about to let this opportunity at person-to-person interaction pass her by! Unfortunately, she was failing spectacularly on her end of the deal, only managing to let out stutters and sputters of words in an attempt at making conversation... So horrible at communicating was she, the man continued on, remarking that it wasn't all so bad once she got her body back.
At that, Liari froze, staring up at the man in disbelief. She could get a new body...? How... she... wha... That lying DESK SITTING OGRE! She was duped! She was told she'd wait like this until Hell wiped her out and now she was learning she could retain her form in here!? What kind of despicable trash would withhold this information from her!?... Within her rage, though... what passed for her eyes locked onto the man's and she felt it all subside... He told her... gave her hope.... she wasn't going to be stuck like this...
"N-no... I..." She would've sighed if such a thing were possible. "...H-how can I get my body back...? Wh-who are you...?"

The Demon would continue blinking lightly as the small cloud stuttered. If this was the person's first time dead he really couldn't blame them for being surprised seeing someone with their body intact. Though, maybe that wasn't really why the cloud was stuttering. Once more he could only make assumptions until the cloud actually began to speak. It felt like the cloud was sort of broken in a way due to how it was stuttering and freezing up. Maybe he came at the wrong time, was he that scary? Perhaps that wasn't the answer but he couldn't help but question what he was seeing from the cloud on his own terms.
At last, after a bit of waiting for the cloud to speak, it said something to him that he could work with. He would smile a bit as he would then go into thought. How would the demon answer such a thing... well, he had to be truthful for the time being. "There are tons of ways to get your body back down here. But, the easiest way to describe it is that when you are turned into this little cloud, your body isn't exactly gone. It's more or less just been changed for now." he would speak matter of factly about something he didn't exactly understand, all he could do was assume for the time being based on what he saw with himself and some of the other souls wandering hells landscape. "As you wander around down here, your body collects the energy in the afterlife and soon enough your body will be able to will itself into its old form again. I was given a bit of help, as someone made a physical body for me to enter and use the energy to awaken the body as my own." he thought over a bit of how exactly he got his own body back. It wasn't conventional and not many others would experience such a way of regaining their body. He had Jarvis to thank for that, even if he didn't like the guy much. "Either way, I'd say for you... just go about collecting energy as much as you can. It might not feel like you're collecting anything but in due time you'll be able to force your body back out of pure willpower. And once you do that, you'll be able to do everything you could once more. Even fire off ki waves. It helps to protect yourself from the... undesirables of hell." he'd chuckle a bit as he finished off his explanation of how exactly the little cloud could get her body back. It wasn't a perfect way to explain it but he'd hope that the cloud could use it to help.
He would then cross his arms, as he realized he had so far ignored what was asked next. "As for who I am, I'm Bernael Adonael. You've probably never heard of me but I was born and raised on Earth. I'm a half demon and half human. That's about all there is to say about me without getting into what I've done. What about you?" he would answer as truthfully as he could without trying to explain his whole life story. He was happy with that much at the least as he would stare down at the cloud. The half-breed was curious enough at what the identity of the cloud actually was. He'd just have to wait and see.
Liari's (non existent) eyes shot WIDE as the man explained how EASY it was to get her body back. She simply couldn't believe that it was as simple as willing herself into existence again down here. She could buy that maybe her physical form was somehow linked to this spiritual mockery... She could accept that maybe, through some kind of difficult and trying journey, she'd find a new form to take while keeping all her memories but she was being told right here that just by WANDERING AROUND, she could build up enough energy to get her body back!... It was insane! He must've been kidding! The Kuuyomi in her wouldn't believe this garbage... but the dominant Liari half completely bought it. She was too enamored with this guy to NOT trust every single word that came out of his mouth. The Demon encouraged her to just float about and collect as much energy as she could like it were some kind of obtainable item like... coins in one of humanity's many videogames or something... She had no idea how she was supposed to do this but if all it took were to just run around and be free... then she was liking the conditions already!
"O-okay..." Liari whispered, smiling up at the man. Somehow... she thought she wouldn't need to protect herself with this generous soul nearby... The thought of him actually rushing in to save her brought even more blushes to her cheeks despite her own pride... If only she had a body to sense energy with right now she'd bet he was super strong... Super DUPER strong... She could tell just by looking. It took a bit but eventually they got around to the topic of names, the demon eventually revealing himself to be Bernael Adonael, a name the majin would surely carry around with her for a loooooooooong time. His name was so... royal... like he belonged to a bloodline that should be ruling this plane... Another sign of power belonging to this handsome devil. She floated a little closer to her now teacher in the ways of hell, wondering if she could still touch with this worthless cloud-form... Maybe being nearer to him would help pick up some energy...
"My name is Liari." She responded, her voice chipper... almost excited to conversate with her savior and now appointed guardian... despite him not knowing it just yet. "It's a pleasure to meet you Bern! Um.... How did you end up down here... may I ask...?"

The demon would smile down at the cloud as it responded with its name, the tone it gave off was quite positive. It seemed like an entirely different person from the crying and stuttering cloud from before. At the very least something good was happening here, he couldn't be sad with that. Bernael would just follow the cloud with his eyes as it floated closer to him, sort of just standing still as he didn't feel any malicious intent coming from it. Not that it could do anything to him for the time being until it got its body back, only time would tell. "That's a nice name, Liari. I like it. It is a pleasure to meet you as well." he would smile more down at the little cloud that was floating by him as he would just think over what she asked next.
His arms would be crossed as he remained in thought. He had no reason to lie about it, and he had a lot of time to think about what got him down there. It was all in the past for now, however. "I guess... I trusted the wrong people." he would close his eyes, thinking over the two biggest people that he assisted that probably got him sent down there. He wasn't surprised by his fate anymore, he helped the wrong people when they promised positive things. "One of them was my closest friend, at the time. He was the leader of an Empire. He needed help for his empire, and I provided the help openly. He used me, and he became a monster. That was my first mistake." the demon would pause a bit longer, letting his words sink in for the little cloud. Bernael would pace a bit as he started to just walk, not really thinking about it as he would move across the hellish landscape without much thought anymore.
That wasn't the least of his story, however, he had more to talk about. "Shortly after that, I learned I was born of an important Demon Bloodline. My Aunt is the current Queen of Demons. She was nice to my mother and me, and she didn't cause anybody any harm when I met her. I thought I could trust her so I decided to stay with her for a short while." he would look up as he remembered going to the Demon Realm and relaxing there for a long time. He didn't fight a single person while there, everyone treated him like family and it was like he was surrounded by loved ones all over again. The only conflict he has was his darker side coaxing him and asking him to give in to his demonic heritage, to become a vessel of destruction. The Demon Prince held back and just stayed neutral through it all, but even then he wanted to help the universe and more importantly Earth. It was all very important to him, he didn't want to harm anybody ever.
"That was my second mistake. She treated me well and gave me a home, and one day I saved her life from a killing blow. I died in the process and she died anyway, my sacrifice in vain. Both she and I were sent down to hell, and I saw her true self." the form that he first saw his aunt in down here, that was the form he was after. That powerful draconic beast was his goal. But that wasn't something that he should focus on, he needed to get into why he was down here still. "If you die while already dead, your soul gets erased. No chance to even be put into the cleansing machine and reborn. No second chances. My aunt slaughtered countless people before my very eyes, none of them will see the light of day even as someone else." the demon boy would pause and then slowly look back at Liari, his eyes narrowing as he would grit his teeth.
"I learned on that day, that I should fight for myself and the Universe as a whole. I died for my family and I fought for a friend and they all turned out evil. They never tell you why you get sent to hell but I can only assume that my unintentional contributions to two horrible people got me sent here." the halfbreed would then look forward once more, scowling as he thought over it all. He had time to get over it all, he would never forgive those two for what they had done but his priorities were elsewhere. He was fighting for himself now, for the betterment of the Universe. He could care less about his revenge, it was all in the past.
"Don't take my strong words as anything more than what happened, however. I will never forgive those two but I won't chase them down out of revenge. This universe is on the brink of destruction and I am fighting to stop it from disappearing. If I confront those two because they will bring about the end of it all, so be it." his eyes would remain forward as he continued walking forward. He knew what he wanted to do with his time in the afterlife, he was bettering himself and that was all that he had to do. Whether or not others saw that was selfish or anything was up to them. "So, what about you, Liari? If you are comfortable talking about your own side." at last the demon would go silent, he had ranted about what got him placed in Hell for long enough. It was time to pass the microphone to the little cloud so to speak.
Liari listened intently as her new demon buddy told her his life story, one of constant and unexpected betrayal. First it was his best friend... then his aunt, all of them using this man and keeping their nefarious intentions secret until it was too late. Even in his blind faith to protect his aunt from a killing blow, he'd failed and, as a result, he was tossed down into this hell-scape for the crime of trying to do good. Intentions didn't seem to matter when it came to the absolutes of Heaven and Hell it seemed. The little Majin would've embraced the demon if she had any arms to do so, knowing at least somewhat how it felt to have people you love turn on you like that. The difference between her and him was that she might've actually deserved it... half of her anyway. None of this was his fault and he shouldn't have been made to suffer the punishment of a crime he didn't even know he committed! If the universal powers that be saw Bern's unknowing transgressions as worthy of this god-forsaken place then she'd find them and eat them! She would too! She'd keep that plan tucked in the back of her head for later... The swirling mass of dust that was her cloud body seemed to writhe with the increase of her hostile emotions, swirling in and around her borders faster and faster... before calming as the Demon asked his own question. How did SHE end up down here...? Liari returned her gaze back up into those eyes of his, almost afraid to tell him. Unlike Bernael, she DESERVED to be down here with all the rabble and the trash. She had enough self-awareness to know that her life choices made it so and the last one she ever did was no exception. The cloud let out a soft sigh, somehow scrounging up the the will necessary to answer his question... She hoped he wouldn't hate her....
"I was on Namek..." Liari explained, floating a little closer. "I met this other girl on earth a long time ago and we fought, but she fled before either of us could get anywhere... I couldn't just let her leave after all the smack-talk she threw at me so I followed her... By the time I got there I was so much stronger than she it was actually kind of sad... Everything she did, every move she made I was able to easily counter... That was until her brother showed up..."
Liari's cloud began to writhe and squirm again, her tone dropping to a more somber note.
"He didn't understand... I wasn't going to kill her... I just wanted to prove that I was better than her... Maybe afterwords we could've been friends or something, I don't know! But he joined in and wanted me gone... And I wouldn't leave. He was so much stronger than I was... It was all I could do to just avoid his attacks... The girl and her brother were working together and I was scared... I didn't know what to do... I couldn't run now that I was stuck in this fight and I couldn't win because they were stronger together than I was... The girl must've not seen her brother until it was too late because the blast she was charging struck him instead of me... I was mad... Frustrated that her brother interfered and in my anger... I absorbed his sister..." Liari paused, waiting to see Bernael's raction before continuing.
"I have all her memories and they became a part of me... I thought that maybe he'd still love me because I had his sister in me... Her body, her power, her thoughts and dreams... And he killed me for it..."

The Demon would look towards the little cloud as it began to tell its own story as well now. His eyes would just lock onto the little cloud out of respect for her story, rather than turning away from her. He knew the story wouldn't exactly have a happy ending, it ended with a trip to hell so he had to keep his feelings to judge her down for the time being. Unless she had done horrible things he couldn't really blame her, however, everyone has impulses. He had given in to his own impulses at times, he could have even killed those who betrayed him with his own hands at one point but due to some sort of blind hope that they could change once he tried to stay his hand. All of it was a mistake that he had to live with through his life, he had to be able to stop judging those who got themselves placed in hell as well, this twisted place was punishment enough without him ratting them out.
Nonetheless, his mind would stop exploring thoughts of its own to focus on what the little cloud would say. She sounded so sad as she floated around, it was something the demon felt some sympathy for. Her story started off sort of soft, it had nothing really wrong with it, for the time being, just some friendly rivalry between two people that started from smack talking. Honestly, he couldn't blame the cloud for being mad and needing to go after to finish the fight. What was told next just added to it, to be honest. The girl's voice started to sound more desperate in some places to explain what exactly was going on. Confusion, sadness, some things that might have sounded like regret. That was enough for him to know that it wasn't the cloud's fault, in the long run, it was just another misfortunate tale of those who give in to impulse and do something wrong, even once.
"Look... you shouldn't hurt yourself over what happened. They were ganging up on you... you just wanted to prove yourself to another. You said it yourself, you weren't going to kill her." he would kneel down and smile at the cloud, setting his hand just above it knowing he couldn't directly touch it without just phasing through. He would stare for a few more seconds before moving on to explain more. "Fear is a powerful emotion to have, and even if both of them were weaker than you, people working together is something terrifying to deal with. I can't say that what you did was right... what happened to that guy's sister. But you did it out of fear, anger, frustration... all of those are powerful emotions that can push us to do things we regret in the end." he would then stand up, staring down at the cloud as he finished saying what he needed to say on the subject as a whole, before diving into more specific aspects.
"If you have her memories and they became one with you, you and she are one in the same now. He may not like it... and he may have done something bad out of anger himself. You just need to accept what happened is now the past, you can't change it." he would look aside with a sort of sad look on his face. He knew all too well about wanting to change parts of the past, but what happened was set in stone, all that he could do was push forward.
"But, you can work on yourself while down here. If you truly regret what happened, you've already made a step towards fixing what happened. Getting your body back isn't the only thing you can do down here. I don't normally condone it... but you can revive as well, force yourself back into the mortal world. Many have done it before, and I can't judge you because I have to do it next. You can get a second chance, to get stronger and meet with your new brother... to make things right." he would smile softly and then reach down to sort of pat the cloud on the metaphorical head. He knew he couldn't interact with the person much more than he was already until they got their body back, but that was honestly fine.
Liari's gaze flicked up to meet the demon's, Bernael doing his best to put her mind at ease... She would've taken a deep breath if she were capable to calm her nerves... There was so much justification: So much moving on... She was angry, she was sad. You shouldn't blame yourself, things got out of control. It was easy to say those things but to feel that they were true? That you didn't have much of a choice in the moment...? Sometimes hindsight was the worse curse... It was never easy to let go of the burden of guilt. You want it to go away so bad but when it really comes down to it and you have the opportunity to let it all go...? It was one of the hardest things to do... Liari knew this lesson well... She was guilty LONG before she had done any of this... Her history was wrought with things she regretted. Bernael was right of course. There was no debating that fact. She could argue all the 'buts' and 'could've beens' all she wanted but it never would do her any good. She knew it and yet... it was so hard to let go....
She knew the demon's hand would pass through her but she couldn't resist reaching out to him anyway... A small piece of the cloud would extend from the main body by sheer will alone, almost like a limb or head or something that the man graced with his fingers. She imagined what his hand would feel like upon her skin, so soft and gentle just as he had been. She felt so lucky that her first real interaction with anyone down here had been this guy. They hadn't know eachother at all and yet here he was, caring for her and offering her advice like they've been friends for some time. She wanted her body back so badly right now.. She wanted to show her gratitude somehow... Fight him, hug him, SOMETHING that this worthless cloud-form couldn't! She couldn't wait... She hoped it'd happen soon...
"...Thank you so much..." She whispered, meeting the demon's eyes... Her formless shape couldn't show the emotion she felt fore she had no eyes, show the smile on her lips fore she had none... All she had was the tone of her voice and the speed of her shifting cloud... but maybe that was enough for now. "...I'm so glad you're the first person I met down here... You're so kind and nice... I never would've thought I'd meet someone like you in this place..." Her voice dripping with thanks... Besides Celerous and Isabella, nobody had ever been this kind to her... Isabella who looked out for her and took care of her, Celerous who trained her and let her stay in his home... Now Bernael who cared enough to stay with her and help her in more ways than one despite him no doubt suffering down here as much as she was. The cheeks she didn't have flashed with a blush as she stared up at him, her metaphorical heart warming a tad...

A wave of enjoyment washed over the Demonic halfbreed as he heard her next words back to him. He had done so much wrong, to so many people... caused so much due to trusting those he shouldn't have. Knowing that when being himself, he could still cheer someone up and make their day in a horrible place such as hell was something he was happy to have still. In his head, he knew he would be able to help more than just Liari but this was a stepping stone that he had to get through and he couldn't be happier that he was able to go through with it. To be able to hear someone say thank you once again made his own day, it gave him the will to push forward further than he really had the right to when he was first placed into hell. He knew he had to push on regardless and to believe in himself, Diana had taught him that well enough and once Cornatto told him about the upcoming Tournament he had a lot more than himself and those closest to him riding on his shoulders. Every single person he had yet to meet that had some sort of reason to live was going to be counting on him and the other fighters, he just had to hope that he was good enough.
"I am glad that you think of me in such a way. I think everyone deserves a chance here and there. Hell isn't an ending, it's a point where choices can be made. You shouldn't be forced to go through torture and despair in this place if you know you can do something greater." he would smile and cock his head to the side. He was feeling really emotional himself but he was doing his best to keep his voice nice and calm. The demon didn't exactly want to show that he was breaking his soothing nature in a way. Besides, he was trying to help this little cloud, he could save his own emotions for later once he had everything settled for himself. He knew that whoever was inside of this cloud hadn't done enough wrong to deserve an eternity of punishment down there, she had certainly earned his approval for a second chance. Though he used to give those out a lot more often than he should have, so there was no telling if he was going soft again.
He would continue to stare down at her for a second as she spoke a bit more, her words causing his face to flush a bit as he would scratch his chin a little bit with the tip of his finger. "Well, I was hoping I could do that for someone at least. Nobody deserves to suffer down here... it is bad enough already without the loneliness." he would go quiet after he spoke, sort of going into thought as he wasn't quite sure what to say. The tournament of power was soon... but it wasn't too immeasurably soon that he couldn't help this cloud out.
"Listen, I have to leave Hell soon... I have duties that require me to be alive. But until then why don't we stick together? I can try to help you regain your body, and once we do I can train you a little bit. You can be there when I leave as well so that you can have somewhat of an idea of how to get out of this place once you think you are ready. Once my duties are complete we can try to meet in the world of the living as well to get to know each other a little better, okay?" he would smile as he would explain all of this to the little cloud. Some of it might not be taken too well... seeing as the demon couldn't stay around the entire time she was down here but at the very least he hoped that he had more than enough time to help her learn how to get settled into hell. It took him a bit to get used to it, but he had very little help getting used to it, maybe he could set this girl up before he had to leave with everything she needed to escape.
Liari smiled (Or would have), as Bernael expressed his joy somewhat that Liari thought of him like she did, that everyone deserved a second chance... She stared up at him as he did down at her, telling her that she didn't deserve to suffer down here if she knew she could do so much better... In the demon's eyes she saw Suusano, her poor half-brother now probably bawling his eyes out over the "loss" of his sibling. She saw Isabella worried sick now that she was gone, no doubt frantically checking every last bit of Namek to find any trace of her just as she did with Laezi.
Laezi...
It was just like before now... Except forever, right...? For countless years there lingered the possibility that her sister didn't survive their battle so long ago. No matter how much she denied it, ignored the ever-growing chance that her sister had been taken away forever, Liari knew somewhere in the depths of her mind that her other half was gone for good... Now that wasn't true! They had found each other at last, had their first real heart-to-heart in literal EONS and now... like that... She had been taken away from her forever... Liari's joyous mood over Bernael's presence here darkened... She guessed she and Suusano had gotten even after all, huh...? She took away his sister forever and he took away her's... Unless Laezi died too somehow and somehow was bad... Her sister would never be seen again... What made it even worse is that she couldn't even HOPE lay her eyes upon her sibling, not while she was stuck here... If she did, she would've been wishing eternal TORMENT upon her sister, just as she had been sentenced too! Futile hope was something the little blue majin couldn't afford anymore... Not if she really cared about her sister... The same sister she did such horrible things too throughout her life. Just the memories of it all could make her cry...
Bernael seemed flattered to blushing by her remark, that he made hell down here less Hellish. Despite the dark thoughts that clouded her mind, she meant every word. He was the kind of person you never expected to be where you went... A baker in a blacksmith's forge for example or a secret agent in space for some reason or another. Meeting such a kind and selfless soul in the realm of eternal punishment made him someone very special... Maybe someone she'd be forced to spend the rest of her new life with as short (if she was whisked away to the spiritual recycling bin) or long (as her body is eternal dead or alive) as it might've been. She thought deeply about that if only to keep the thoughts out of all the loved ones she'd never see again. She certainly wouldn't mind having the demon as her newest companion and friend. Regardless of whatever his power might've been, Liari found she didn't care over-much. He had already won her over with his charming personality and undeniable good looks. And if he was a fighter, that'd make him perfect.
Her figurative jaw dropped to the floor as the demon casually mentioned that he'd have to leave soon, that his duties required him to be alive. Leaving...? Did he mean Hell...? He could do that!? Most of his other offers nearly floated past her as she focused on that one little detail, confused being a great understatement. He could escape the realm of eternal torment and damnation!? Well! That settled it! He was the perfect guy... Strong enough to rip dimensional holes between the living and dead, the best looking guy she's seen in her entire universe-long life and being a kind, helpful soul? Yeah... Spending eternity with him was a great idea... More to the point, if he could escape... Does that mean he could take her with him? And if he could, did that mean she could see Laezi, Isabella and the others again??? Her head was spinning right now... All the possibilities...
"O-o-okay..." She stuttered, trying to work this all out for the LIFE of her. She stared up at the demon with a new hope, joy beyond anything flowing through her being... Words... why were they so hard to speak...? "I... I look forward to it, Bernael..." Anything to spend time with you She didn't say. "Heh... I guess we should work on getting my body back before anything else, huh...?"

The Demon would slowly blink as he heard the little cloud return to stuttering. He was worried that he said something wrong but he slowly realized that he didn't exactly touch a lot of those points delicately. It must have been a lot to wash over for the poor little cloud but sure enough, he couldn't take the words back. Besides, it was better to give her the truth now than to just disappear on her later, though it was still nice to hear that she looked forward to it. "Anyone you have waiting for you back in the living world won't be kept waiting forever, I promise you that." he would smile, trying to show a little bit of sympathy for the little cloud. Not many get to hear they can have a second chance at life, and he was sure that with the rivalry this girl created with the other one inside of her, that she had other people that would also be apart of her life. It wasn't all that simple to think about but he had to try to soothe her in some way once she started stuttering again, he felt a little bit bad.
He would look up a bit as he thought more about what she said next. How was he going to go about getting her body back? He knew how to do it but knowing how to do it and having another do it were two entirely different things. "Well, before we try any of that... I'm going to take you back to my spot that I frequent. It isn't anything special but I use it so constantly that some consider it my territory. You shouldn't be pestered while there or anything, and we'll have a secluded space to train once you get your body back. Plus, it is where I train and use my own energy, so perhaps you'll be able to absorb some of it into yourself. I am not sure how the energy really works but hopefully, it'll go well." he'd smile down at the little cloud as he would turn his head and start to scan the landscape, making sure there was nobody to really follow them back.
The moment it seemed that they were clear to him, he would turn to look in the direction of his little lake that he grew fond of, walking in that direction. His pace was pretty quick but he made sure not to burst away from the cloud, he wanted to make sure that it could follow him with ease as he would focus on moving forward. The walk would take a little bit so he thought the best thing to do now was to make small talk. "So... Liari. What are ya anyways? If I've learned anything when it comes to meeting new people, it is to expect the unexpected. There are so many unique and interesting races out there, which are you? Sorry if it is a bad question to ask though, feel free to ignore me I just thought it could help to learn a little about one another." he would go quiet once his question was done, his eyes drifting as he stared out over the red expanses of hells landscape.
The scenery really was dreary in Hell, it was nothing like the beautiful and varied ecosystems back on Earth... but that was to be expected. Hell wasn't made for the purpose of making everyone happy who lived there, it was just a place to wander for all of eternity if you were never placed in the Soul Cleansing Machine. But all of it couldn't help but wash over the Demon as for the first time in a while he was actually walking along it rather than flying as fast as he could over it all. Was this really the place he was okay with spending the rest of his eternity in the end? His head would shake as it would reaffirm itself, however. He had already long come to accept his punishment as no longer a punishment, it was his way to push forward and learn from his past mistakes. And it was the harsh environments of hell that would help train his body and mind to be the protector he always wanted to be, he would eventually take his place among the Upper Worlds if such a thing was really allowed.
All of these thoughts took up the majority of their trip to his little lake, however, as he would stop and stare down into the water once more. His reflection was once more staring back at him, reassuring him that he was where he was used to. "Alright... we're here... do you want to get started trying to get your body back? It may take a little while, but we can try our best."
