The Heat of Training Melts The Cold of Space! [P/x20]

"Be there in three mins," came Beat's reply from the intercom. Currently, with him driving the ship, it's going smoothly. They have gone past Namekian atmosphere, now in free space. After all that nervewrecking asteroid field, Beat can turn on the automatic drive system. He sighed in relief and quickly entered the elevator, pressing the number for the gravity training room. The lift was too quick that it kind of make him dizzy, but it saves up time, so he doesn't mind. The moment he entered the gravity chamber, it's already set to twice of the one he usually practiced. This time around however, he's not slipping up. On his hand, he's carrying sizeable sport drinks and a bit of other sort of refreshment just in case.

The boy is no longer the boy that Rensu knew in their first meeting, no. Beat has definitely gotten stronger. How strong was he back then? 20000 PL? He can't believe he was that weak. Now for some reason the younger boy has leaped bounds to around 91.000. His gravity training back in Namek was making him stronger than ever. The younger boy grinned widely as he met his brother figure in the training room. "Heh, I did promised that I'll get stronger, right, Ren-nii? I'm definitely stronger now, probably four times more than last time you seen me, you know?"

It's not enough to match the other guy, but definitely enough to show just how determined he is to get stronger. "Let me warm up a bit, alright?"

Beat immediately did several warmup movements. Making sure his body stays limber, and then continued with several kicks and punches. He got this, it's alright. He's no longer the weak guy he is before. "...Now let's test... Mastered power... HA!!"

His power increased five times like the first time he used the move. Beat practiced some instaneous movement by zigzagging around the gravity chambers, testing the limit of his speed. Not yet satisfied, the younger boy also did Midair Shundo, a skill he derived from his usualSshundo. This one he activated without even activating his flight ki, instead making thin layer of ki on soles of his feet to dodge midair. His heart beating hard. He's really excited to know where his power will ends in. When he finally ready, he put on his weighted clothes.

"Heeew..." he exhaled. Yes, that was a really nice warmup. "Ready for your training, Ren-nii."

A predatory grin bloomed on his face. The half Saiyan is ready for one hell of a training.

"Ha!" Beat would laugh gleefully. "Yeah, Super Saiyan, maybe soon? With how fast I'm getting here, I'm sure as hell gonna reach there faster than before you knew it, so just watch yourself... Then we can both push each other to our limits, eh? Matching each other in power, getting stronger and stronger... Yeah, that would be nice... Aha~" an excited sound leaked from his throat unconsciously. All the adrenaline that pumped to his system from all this excitement, and the euphoria from the warmup and from finding his strength made the red haired kid felt like he's ready to take the world. His eyes glinted in what looked like a beast ready to sharpen his claws.

"Nishishishisi... moete kita ze..."

The ki that came from the boy now grow wilder like flame. He's really excited isn't he? But looks like Rensu is also excited. He know Rensu is holding back, but that isn't a reason for him to hold back his strength to match the older boy's. "Days of coughing up lunch and allll those passing out is allll gone. These sea thingy can no longer contain this strength yo~~" The younger boy's demeanor also changes slightly. He's no longer unsure of himself. His words too oozes happiness and confidence... but most of all, it's excitement. He's hoping that the gap that divides him and the other boy is slowly shrinking. That way, that way... he'll get even stronger than now. Faster, stronger, until he could finally walk side by side with the Saiyan in front of him. Rensu's silent words did not miss him. If anything, he decided that it's the right time to watch the older Saiyan fight for real. His only reference so far was Tezla and Durzo. Right hand on the front, opened into a palm, left one behind, acting as a fist ready to strike. Beat is a left hand dominant from this style.

Hmph, so he's holding back by using his weaker arm instead? Beat doesn't mind though. The difference in their power is still nearly twice over--no, thrice, because he's wearing the heavier kind of suit for his perspective. Beat blocked the attacks. The older Saiyan's speed was astounding, not even Tezla is this quick. But even s, it only made the boy even more excited.

"aha~"

More and more punches blocked. the more his grin grows wider. Even if some of the attack hits, it was nothing to him. The pain instead made the younger boy even more excited.

"Aha~~ ahahahaha~~ Aahahahah~~!!" never been he felt so much alive before. Trading blows like this, this speed, this power! It was so alien to him three months ago. Now he's already stepping the superhuman realm from how he mastered his power. Beat's tail swishing in delight from all this training. Yes, more. he need to reach higher height than this. It took him a while, but he finally managed to block at least 8 out of 10 punches Rensu sent. Slowly, he's doing attack of his own, trading punches for punches. The sound of his fist thrusted into open air itself already such a melody for his excited self. So is this how it feel to get stronger?

"Yeah, that's so!" Beat answered "Ya gotta be careful, maybe I'll get ahead of ya if you're not careful~" of course this one just a cheeky little joke. His tone is playful and not really serious, but there are at least a modicum of confidence there. "I'm serious in trying to get that Super Saiyan thing though~ That way, we can probably fight together. Maybe I'll join the Alliance too, eh? I did promised Zeno-san that I'll join the academy later... Hmmm, gotta prove my worth to my girlfriend too. She graduated Galatic Patrol academy in three years apparently, so I gotta do two in Remnant Alliance Academy."

"I gotta thank you for the confidence," Beat stated about his confidence as he blocked more and attacked more. He's starting to get used to the punishing gravity. "Without you guys and real, tangible goal, I wouldn't be this confident, especially when you pushed me to this level. Four times of my power back then, in just a month, aren't that just so cool? I wouldn't get this far if it's not for you guys, you know? Heh, bet the kids at home would get so surprised at my change... Nishishishishi~"

Though, it's seem that Rensu is upping his game. It's getting harder to block his attacks. Beat gritted his teeth, but at the same time, this is not annoyance or frustration, no. He's just bracing for increasing excitement in his heart. "Kuku... hehehe..." Instead of intimidated by the lightly upped power, Beat only got more and more excited. However, the last one was the one that shocked him. Instead of facing his fist head on, Rensu used his own cheek to counter. Even if it's his cheek, Beat's fist easily repelled. Not only that, it hurts, enough to make the boy surprised and break his rhythm for a millisecond. Yes, only just a little moment as his natural instinct told him to use the momentum to gain distance. Beat slides all four on the floor like a wild animal from the recoil. Perhaps if there are inexperienced people who saw them, they would think the boy is afraid or got his game broken.

"...Ohooo~~?" ...yet only excitement came out from him. He saw the way the older teen taunted him. His arm smarting, but it's not the kind that would lower his maximum output. The boy cracked his hand joints in reply. Slowly, Beat rose back up to two feet and raised his ki higher through partial use of his mastered power. "...Hahaha..." At first, it was spiral of red, thin colored aura, very thin like a must, until it grew and flares! "HAHAHAHA!! SAIKOU DAZEEEE!!"

Now he slowly matches Rensu in his power, down to the digit with the help of his mastered power, only with suppressed Ki. Beat launched from his position with his shundo move, creating blast of air pressure behind him as he propelled himself like a missile, fist outstretched to hit his training partner.

"That's alright. The more fired up you are, the better it is for me," Beat told him. "Just remember that this kid gonna break your record as the youngest Saiyan this generation to get Super Saiyan, eh~?" let's see if that fired the other guy up. "Plus if we're on equal standing, we can finally have a real bout instead just a kiddy training like this. Can't wait for that time. Currently I hold no candle, but as you can see... I'm dead serious in proving my worth."

...Front tail getting cut? An eunuch!? Beat's expression twisted to a quite funny one, mix of disbelief and something along of an embarrassment and probably a dash of wince from imagining his front tail getting cut. "I... I was that doubting about my own worth!?" he would ask, completely surprised. "Muh... that was a bit mean..." Beat pouted. Still, at least the way he also tell him that the older guy got a nice vibe from him made the younger of the two looks happy. "Well, glad that I captured your brotherhood through cooking," he teased "I'll make sure to whip up something delicious after this". On Rensu's warning, though... yeah, he nodded, looking serious for a moment. "Let me enjoy this moment for a while though. This is my first real training for a while. Facing stronger opponent made me all fired up..."

"OOOORAAAA!!" Seeing Rensu coming at him in such speed made the younger boy all the more fired up. He mimicked the older boy's stance and sent out his fist to met with Rensu's own! Despite their now same strength,  the clash was still enough to send the younger boy backward from the aftershock. His time on earth really is precious. He never thought that all those parkour he did back then would be boosted by his current battle ready body. Beat instead did a backflip several times and landed on all four again. "Hehehehe, now that's what I'm liking from you, Ren-nii. Ya not pullin' any punches against a kid like me, eh? Many afraid to go all out against me. That's their mistake. Because we're young we can grow up quickly."

Now folding his arms is he? Fine, time to show this guy a bit of his kicking skills. Beat dashed forward and... instead of attacking with normal kicks. He did a handstand and opened the attack using his legs, trying to catch his opponent off guard. It was completely unorthodox probably for Saiyans, but for human, there are fighting style based on this. Beat merely happened to mix his parkour skills with martial arts, thus accidentally copying the skill. However, no matter what, Rensu got more experience on this. He managed to hit Beat's arm, making the boy slip. But if it's not Beat if he's giving up here.

"RAAAH!!" he quickly did an ukemi and stood back up. Time to let go of the flashy trick and go for the better kicks. Hands tucked in his pocket just to make sure that he concentrate on his legs alone, the boy answered every single kicks with his own. The roundhouse one was mean, but for someone who actually trained his kicks more than his punches, Beat won't get easily scared from this. He twisted his body slightly and met the roundhouse kick with his own.

"He~ What do you say, not bad?"

If this is the level that they can do just from this... he really want to be Super Saiyan right away! Ghhhh, he's so excited!

"Hehe, looks like that got ya fired up alright~"

There's nothing made the boy happier than to see that his sparring partner actually liking all the verbal jabs he's delivering. Not only that, he looks like he's answering it in such positive way that only made Beat even more sure of his thought that this guy is the best sparring partner he ever had so far. "Great that you don't mind, because those who mind are those who have very little confidence in them. I like your confidence Ren-nii, the kind that says 'so what if you're stronger, I'll get stronger than that' sort of way. That kind of confidence is what make other people have fun, like how I'm having fun at the moment. It just make me want to catch up with ya faster nishishishishi... How about we make a bet then, Ren-nii? In around three month, I'll go gold. If I don't get it then I'll do whatever you want. if I win then... hmmm... how what would you give me? I'll let you decide I guess."

Still, it was quite a brave bet. Is Super Saiyan that easy? Triggering Beat's anger probably would be really hard. He hope Rensu isn't the type that going to get in any sort of trouble just to trigger his explosive anger. Beat is the type that let his own anger fester instead of letting it out properly. In the end, it manifested as grudge, grudge that he often let go by pranking his bullies. However, as a Saiyan, an anger is needed to trigger Super Saiyan transformation... Hmmm, he really hope he can do it somehow. Still, the moment Rensu said how he's now different made Beat chuckle. "Aw shucks, it's nothing that amazing really... But guess you're right. This is just the beginning. We won't be happy simply with this right? We're beings that looking for perfection. Saa, let's continue!"

Though, this time around, he decided to go for boxing style eh? "...I guess I better get serious. Boxing is dangerous after all."

Beat also mimicked the stance, but it's different in a way that he held his fist up instead in a form that is not like boxing. While in boxing the of the fist is aimed at the opponent, this one have the fists faces upward to the sky. He also did not hop around, seem to be the stationary kind. His tail swishing behind him.

He decides to be the first to lead the charge this time. Beat shoots forward with the help of his instantaneous move skill [Shundo]. The swings of his fists not wide at least, which means less wasted moves. Even so, he tried to make sure whether Rensu is just using both of his arms or also his legs. Yes, he's still having fun, but this is the time to stop acting like a beast in delight. It's time to fight like a cultured Saiyan.

"Hehehe, guess I'm really in for a treat then if you're that fired~"

Still, Rensu did said that somehow he got into trouble from that sort of confidence? Strange... He never thought that anyone would hate that sort of confidence. It's not the sort that would make someone easily trips. Although, it probably could make someone challenge a tiger even if they're just a normal person. is this the sort of confidence that troubled him? In that case, Beat nodded. "Understood, you know what they said~ It's a little brother's duty to not follow the mistake of what their big brother made~" Beat joked. "But from that sort of grin, it's seem that you're a daredevil yourself, Ren-nii... well, can't say much about me considering that I was someone who leaped buildings to buildings back in earth even when back then I can't fly. Guess in my case it's just because I love thrills though...

Now I kinda understand that this is what my heart truly want. I want a nice battle. Not one that put life to line, but still dangerous nonetheless. One that can make me lose simply just from one slip. Heh, I best ask Suusao to build the medical chamber. I already got the necessary part done, just need to install it and all.. but that probably need money too hmn."

It's seem that Rensu agreed to the bet. "Yeah, we'll see indeed. That's why let's aim for higher. If I can get that full power thingy... that would be dope too. Heh, who knows, maybe your confidence starting to rub on me after all, Ren-nii. I really don't mind that. It felt nice to be this confident."

Beat installed camera around Van Eltia, but mostly on public places instead of private one. This is done so that he could easily watches whatever happened in the ship, and if there is some emergency. As a result, he knew about Rensu's training with Suusao. It was, if he have one word to describe it... Savage. He's probably a daredevil himself, but that's still nothing compared to the bravery that Rensu showed in that one fight. Being a kid he is, part of him start gushing out how cool that was. Part of him that was logical however understood just how dangerous was catching a ki blast with your palm.

...I never noticed, but it's true that Ren-nii probably was a prodigy. He probably never did accepted that sort of moniker, but if I think about it, it made sense... Beat slowly licked his lips in anticipation for the counterattack. Monster of talent, and now I'm facing him... Hehehe... normal person would be probably scared shitless when they saw their attack caught so easily by a kid younger than them, but for me... his smile widened again into a grin as Rensu blocked every single of his attack, and even deflected some . This is... this is amazing. Rensu taunted him to break his defense, warning him of the risk of getting his own combo broken. To made his point, the older boy suddenly spread his arms open, thus breaking Beat's stance. Actually, the moment their arms linked, the younger boy was ready. His neck already craned backward and...

DSSHH!!

A forehead strike to met Rensu's fist. Beat grinned wider despite from his forehead blood trickling down to his face. He doesn't care though and merely licked the droplet. If Rensu was caught off guard, Beat would slam his elbow in an elbow thrust attack to Rensu's stomach, followed with a roundhouse kick.

"Looks like it's really rubbing on me, your style." It's amazing that he doesn't even feel dizzy or have a concussion. But he guess this is normal. He survived a crash landing with some broken bones only after all, even after he got planted to the floor on Isabella's house."

To be considered one was something that he's happy with. Although... he seriously wonder if Rensu could be one of his (secret) brothers. Would be nice... well, even if he's not he could just share a sake with him when he's older, a kind of blood oath. However, at the same time, remembering what Zeno said about some Saiyans being playful and love to play around... could it be? Nah, impossible. His father is a family man. He won't cheat on anyone. Though... if he did, then Beat would probably bite his tail as punishment.

And somehow he's the daredevil one? "Heh, really now? You're not going gold yet, so I can't really say I'm a daredevil to take you in your base form. Though... at the same time, taking you as Super Saiyan would be probably something tempting too huh...hmhmhmhm," the boy seem to be thinking about the appeal of it. Still, all this thinking should not hold them back from the true sparring they should be doing. "Oho~ A treat from Ren-nii? Gotcha, I'll catch up with ya , just ya wait, then we'll soar higher, yeah? Let's aim for perfection together!"

This fired the younger boy's up. He really want that, to give Rensu a bit of run for his money. He want to motivate him to train stronger. The two boys are like swords. Strange as they are, they compliment one another. One still losing by long gap, yet when they clashed, they did not chip each other strangely. They instead become sharper, stronger, and trained. That's how their relationship currently are. His attack managed to stagger Rensu. He wondered if the blood was the thing that made his focus broke. Beat wiped what's left of the wound with the back of his hand. Sweats on him probably a lot more than Rensu, considering he's the one that keeping his mastered power transformation on since a while ago. Even so... he probably still have several more minutes, why not make the best out of it? Rensu seem to be eager to continue too. This time around... let's see..

"...How about if I do this, then?"

Suddenly, his pose changed. It looked... yes, it looked like Komatsu's. "...Hehe, guess I should tell ya... I'm trained by Koma-san, you know? So I got a bit of his style on me now..."

The boy did not stop there, however. "...Say, Ren-nii... tell me, what do you feel when you go Super Saiyan? What sort of trigger forced it to come out? I want to know about it more because..." out of sudden, Beat's red aura gained some golden hue to it. "...Looks like I'm getting closer to obtaining it."

During the little training with Tezla back in Namek, the boy has reached new height--If he can call it that, of course. However, at the same time, he felt like he keep passing some "doors". These doors are "possibilities". Super Saiyan see to be so close, yet so far. Everytime he tried to grasp for the handle of the super saiyan door, deep inside his heart something tells him one thing.

This is not your path.

But he had no idea what does that means. He struggled and struggle, until finally his red aura starting to grow gold. But even so, it's not the bright gold of the Super Saiyan, but still orange in color. Beat firmly believed that he's getting it though.

"...Regardless... HERE I COME!"

Beat shoot out, faster than before. It's normal considering now that he unleashed his full mastered potential, rising toward 125.000 PL mark, but at the same time, his moves become sharper. It's still untrained, but he's definitely showing finesse as martial artist. He opened his act with barrages of punches aimed toward Rensu's body, followed with a kick.

"Think we should upgrade it to ki blasts soon?" Beat asked, grinning cheekily
