Adular would make his way through the barren, red, harsh landscape of hell, chuckling to himself as he looked around. Truthfully, the concept of hell was quite interesting to him, of course it wasn't someplace he enjoyed to be in, but he found much fun in sightseeing, as odd as the act was in this circumstance.
He'd revert to a neutral expression, continuing to walk through hell as he began to take note of his status, speaking it out loud rather than keeping it to himself, "Such an odd place, skies painted the color of sulfur, dead thorn filled trees." Adular would chuckle once again, his eyes closing momentarily as he once more spoke out, "Certainly a change of pace. Now, that being managed to bring me back from that... Golden Prison, it only makes sense to find the bastard that did that and pay him back. But before anything, I may as well see if the captivity has dulled my skills at all..." Adular would stop in place, looking around to make sure the area was clear, he'd take a deep breath, raising his hand in front of him, his hand curled and gripped onto the air. Momentarily, all light would drain from the area in his palm, and outstretched a few inches further, quickly replaced by blurred air and a strange crystalline structure forming from the palm of his hand, soon taking form in a pillar of unrefined gem, sharpened into a broad edge, similar to a machete. Adular would smile, "I'm glad you haven't escaped me, my dear Akaal." He'd talk in an almost amorous tone to his sword, grinning wide.
Quickly, he'd begin balling the hand that held the diamond blade, cracks forming over the surface before it broke away completely, floating away into the air before fading out of view. Adular would dust his hands off onto his light-blue, loose fitting Gi, pausing as he saw it, truthfully, he didn't expect to have clothes in hell, maybe it's just the legends and stories he's heard, but regardless, it was a pleasant surprise, he'd finish dusting his hands off, adjusting the belt that held his clothes together, before continuing to walk.
He'd remain quiet, thinking to himself, "My sight and other senses feel intact, but all this inactivity has got me restless. I need to find a combatant, someone who'll take me out of this feeling of impatience." Adular would grin once more, well, if he was in hell, this certainly would be the place to find people to fight, wouldn't it? Mortals often said that home was where the heart was.
But what did that mean for those who had passed onto the afterlife? Whether it was too early for them or not, they were likely to be longing for life in some way. Where they ended up after being checked-in, would decide just how much they longed for life, as not everyone was capable of leaving.
So many mortals weren't even capable of forming a body in this realm, yet plenty were still able to hold onto the hope that things would be better. Some might have even settled on the idea that they were meant to pass on. It was hard to argue or say one's own death was too early when lacking power.
Though that wasn't always the case here. For as many mortals there were who could only keep their cloud shapes, there were just as many who could regain the form that was their bodies. They weren't allowed to do much harm, and with most likely to be there for eternity, it might have been a fair trade.
She wanted to believe so at least. Souls were meant to rest when they had passed onto this realm, and leave behind all of the anguish they felt in life. The divisions between heaven and hell was tragic, but according to mortals and their own speculation, some of them were conscious where they'd end up.
Leaving her own planet was a rare instance, knowing she could materialize what she needed, while also experiencing what she had wanted to an extent. Though that limit had seemed to come far earlier than she had expected it to. The more she had observed the mortals in West City, the more it seemed like it was nearing towards the deaths between one or both of those queens. It wasn't truly her place to say, which part of this realm they would end up in.
However, she found herself wondering just how things were faring in both divisions, knowing that there where people who were dying in that part of the galaxy. It was the next best thing she could do as a God of Creation, and part of her knew there was a chance she could run into Nareli here.
"S-Supreme West Kai!"
Though feeling the energy around here, the former pure Kai might have been in a deeper corner of Hell, than where she had descended down to. She wore the proper garbs of a Supreme Kai, as she stopped in front of two onis, returning the bow that they had given her. Her shoulders being bare and exposed, easily felt the surreal heat that was down here. Her studies had made note of the conditions here, though experience made it so much more different.
There was no comfort to be had for those apart of this division. They were meant to be punished, as even the purification machines wasn't enough to cleanse their spirits. Forsaken souls that the other Kais had judged couldn't be saved, and likely to consider her a fool for still having hope in them.
Though she held even more hope for her former fellow golden Kai. As much as she had wanted to meet her however, she didn't believe herself to be strong enough to purify her. The mortals believed in the idea of willingness for capability to become a reality, so facing Nareli alone wouldn't do much.
They had such a gap between each other in age as well, it was risky enough being down here. But she believed in the path that she was born for, and how it would go on to keep her safe in times of need. Being here in this division, she was likely to need it most for what she had planned to do here.
"I apologize for coming down here like this, but things aren't faring too well for the Northern Galaxy, and I would like to observe some of the souls that will be arriving here, under a different form."
"Understood. We'll inform the others you'll be around."
The conditions around here were likely to get to her, if she stayed for too long, but at the moment she was able to smile easily at the two onis, her form changing into one that was similar to her own appearance with some differences. This power of hers didn't need to suppressed, but tapped into down here.
From what she could recall, the mortals had seemed to believe in the idea of sizing each other up. It was some form of security and reassurance that they would live to see another day, and supposedly down in a division like this, it was necessary. Though she was already out of place somewhat, being both young, and wearing the clothing mortals so often wore, rather than her Kai garbs. But it was a necessity if she was going to observe in secret.
Walking away, it wasn't even just the heat of this place that took some getting used to. The faces of the souls that were around, not all of them seem to have the presence expected of those who were in this division. How many around here had only done something evil once, and now suffered because of it?
Though even if they had felt like they were the lesser of some individuals, she knew it to not be a mistake that they were sent down here. Their stares towards her were warranted, holding no halo over her head, although that could have meant a lot of things, knowing how certain individuals were exceptional.
So long as they didn't bother her however, it mattered not how long they had stared. There was nothing and no one in particular that she was truly searching for. Like she had told the onis, she was here to absorb the mortals that would be coming in, seeing the number and what kind found themselves here.
She didn't have Rin with her, as this was no place for someone dear to her. But it was an astounding sight to be here, and though she hadn't walked around for very long, she could see why there were mortals who were able to convince themselves they belonged somewhere, if they had stuck around long enough.
The conditions here were taxing, and there truly didn't seem to be any hope for them, with how their surroundings were. This place was meant to be forsaken, and untouched by herself or the others. But they couldn't abandon what was essentially a place of their own creation for these misguided souls.
"You're a Bijou, aren't you? Your kind's a rare sight among the common planets."
Time wasn't something she had a measure of down here, although being a God of Creation, there was no worry for her, as she sensed no danger that would require her presence. How long she'd stay here was uncertain, but coming across a Bijou, she wondered how someone like him had ended up here.
She only hoped her own power wouldn't be mistaken as something else.Stamina: 3/3 PL: 600,000 as True Power is active [x10]
Used [PT-1] Shapeshifting to turn into the form above. Everything but the arrow is what her appearance looks like, so no one should know she's a Kai outside of the onis.
Adular would continue making his way through the infernal plane known as hell, walking slowly as to survey everything he passed by, thoughts began to dance in his head as he moved, varying from a want for revenge, to how he'd get out of hell, but most prominently, finding someone to fight. However, to his pleasure, it wouldn't take long. His attention would shoot to a petite, innocent-looking woman, he'd have to double-take from the sight, he was in hell, wasn't he, why would someone so innocent seeming be here? It made no sense to him. With a small "hmph" Adular would look onwards to her, his glance displaying blatant suspicion as his hands moved, thumbs tucking into his belt and keeping his hands steady. He'd listen to what she spoke out, but didn't break the glare of wariness.
He'd let out a small chuckle when she finished speaking, though it sounded more like a quick exhale, "Perceptive, it's funny, when I was alive no-one could guess what I was, I guess it's a little different down here. Though, yes, I'm a Bijou, and for future reference, I go by the name, Adular." Adular would smile momentarily, though it'd quickly revert to a more neutral expression, "And, I'm well aware that we're few and far-between, I don't need you stating the obvious." He came off as oddly hostile as opposed to his previous amicability, his shift was very noticeable and blunt, throwing off the previous demeanor he had presented himself in. Suddenly quieting up, Adular would continue looking at the woman, his eyes glancing up and down.
Adular would cross his arms, tilting his head as he studied her face, "Ms." He'd speak out, pausing for awhile after doing so, the movement of his eyes and body clearly showing that he was searching for words, "Alright, you know, I may as well be honest with you" He'd suddenly drop his arms, looking Maki dead in the eyes as he spoke out in a deadpan serious voice, "I'm not about to waste any more time with niceties. It so happens I've had no one to fight for a very, very, very long time, and my warrior blood is roaring for a skirmish. Well, I don't care who I fight to appease it so long as the fight happens as soon as possible, it isn't any personal hatred I bare to you or people like you, but I present you with two options, either you fight me, or I attack you." He really did waste no time sugarcoating his words, his body crouched as he already began moving into a combat pose.
"I'm giving you thirty seconds to decide." He'd speak out, as if the "choice" he gave wasn't an ultimatum, "Otherwise, I'll choose for you." Stamina: 3/3 Base PL: 101,734 PERM PL: 1,017,340 Mohs Hardness Scale [x10] Techniques Used:
Life before her promotion into becoming Supreme Western Kai.
It was full of studying at Shinjin school, taking in the kind of knowledge over the beings a Kai would oversee. So many of them with their own histories and societies, but only several beings had adapted enough on their planets, and throughout time, for them to be considered something notable and above the rest.
The Saiyans, Kold Demons, and so many others, found a place in the universe where they could potentially become dangers. Something necessary to report as needing to be erased. But judgment and intervention weren't meant to be induced without observation, along with the hope that things might change.
Societies tended to fall and be replaced. Perhaps not even being what they once were, if they were resurrected by magical means. It was always too early to believe that things could take a turn for the worst, and for a Shinjin to be appointed as a Kai, there was usually prior observation it could be handled.
But there were exceptions. There always tended to be exceptions when life was involved. Being born from a golden fruit, she was already born with higher power than the average Shinjin, and with there being a limit to how many of her kind could come into existence at a time, she always had an advantage.
Mortals were similar and had labeled such things as having good genetics, with how they were able to create life so freely. However, their history had shown that an advantage like what she had, didn't mean everything. Someone meant to be as fortunate as she was, could happen to meet an untimely end.
Bijous were simple beings, and what could be called their transformations, was something as subtle as their bodies hardening. To distinguish them from any other humanoid being, beyond the observations of their attacks and their gait, it would have been their dialect, and their pronunciation for things.
Her eyes just so happened to be well enough to do one or the other, as she pulled forth memories of her time reading about these beings. So many of the others who were around here, she had similar flashing images regarding them, but there was an extent to what information and someone's memories could give.
"That's very well peculiar, knowing fights tend to be unavoidable, and anyone like a Saiyan would be able to pick up those solid defenses."
His power was too great for him to have been an average Bijou as well. Many beings weren't capable of growing in power from what they were usually born as, without putting in some form of training. Even the Vampires, who were able to increase their power from stronger blood and contracts with their magic, had to likely fight for the opportunity to do so. Her observation that he was a rare sight, wasn't meant to be offensive, though it seemed to be taken as such.
Mortals so often believed in their securities, and in a suffering place like this, she couldn't allow herself to apologize for a misunderstanding. It filled her with light sorrow that had dropped her smile, as briefly as he had gone and changed his own expression, to something that was harder to read.
What kind of life must he have led, to hold himself in that kind of state? It fortunately didn't seem to be enough to wipe away the idea of smiling, but she was also reminded that he was here down in this division for a reason. For someone like him to change his demeanor like that, was she just amusement?
"Now that has me only wonder how long ago you've died, if you're so certain a rarity on somewhere like Namek, means far and few."
She didn't believe it would have been too out of the question to ask about his death, knowing it must have been common around here, what with their being souls much older than what he felt like he was. His words had made it seem as if his death was recent, but there were certain mortals who were able to convince themselves that their passing hadn't been long at all. Though time in a place like this, would be difficult to get a gauge of in general.
If he also happened to find this as offensive as her observation, then all she could really do was pray that her visit here didn't go too poorly. There was already much she was starting to see about the place down here, that she wouldn't have been able to grasp, without personal interaction.
A lot of her existence had been around respect and kindness, outside of viewing the memories of other Shinjins. What seemed like it might end up being a constant change with this Bijou, brought on a feeling she wasn't quite used to, mentally hitting her in ways that Rin would have likely suppressed.
But the Incubator wasn't around, and wouldn't be to feed off what negativity, she might end up with, the longer she had stayed here. This company was also proving to be something she could see was a test of how she could fare if she tried to intervene. They had such a difference in power.
"You can refer to me as Kira."
The name was what she had come up with, when deciding to descend down here, and with such a form. It would be even more different when she had decided to intervene with the mortals, and take on the name Hikari, until they were worthy of knowing who she truly was. Both had their meanings, though from her observations, mortals were normally too focused on different matters, to really even catch the name of someone else. Still, she took precautions.
It mattered not that her manner of speaking had remained unchanged. Her expressions, which still managed to smile through the slight pangs she felt from this air of coldness, was the only thing she felt was necessary. In time, she'd be able to mask her ki just as well, to further help hide her identity.
"If you wish to fight, we may, although you're best being the one to initiate, even with our current gap."
Seeing the stance he had taken in the first place, she had a feeling he wasn't mastered in a specific style.
Stamina: 3/3 PL: 600,000 as True Power is active [x10]
Adular would continue to remain his stance, eying this woman with a glare of disappointment, was all she going to do speak? He'd look onwards with a bored expression, before suddenly freezing up once she asked about his death. Upon hearing her speak, he'd reflect, how long has he been dead? Ever so subtly, Adular's expression would shift, for a few seconds it no longer bared a face of a bloodthirsty warrior, all that was there was, sadness, and anger. He'd squint his eyes together, trying to break himself out of that fit of emotion, reverting back to his previous, malicious expression. Adular would continue to look at her, giving a slight nod as she heard her speak her name, "Kira." He'd say silently to himself, certainly an interesting name, definitely not one he's heard before.
He'd suddenly perk up once she began to talk about fighting, "Finally." He'd think to himself, a smile temporarily returning onto Adular's face, before just as quickly being replaced by yet another neutral expression, "Humph. I suppose I could throw the first blow, but, you know, there's something I''ve notice, it always seems to be better when the challenged fighter strikes first, you can just tell they're fighting for real if they do." He'd scrunch his fists together as his eyebrows lowered, he'd take a quick, deep breath inwards, his entire body giving off an aura of violence, "Also, I'll bare the courtesy to not kill you, though I can't promise that I won't be trying to." He'd chuckle, though he didn't seem to be joking.
Without any notice, he'd throw his arm to his side, his palm extending outwards as if he was reaching or grabbing onto something, though it simply stood suspended in the air. Just as it happened before, the light from the air would drain, leaving a void of color for moments before being replaced by spreading crystals that stemmed from Adular's hand. It swiftly and rapidly took the form of a pillar of crystal, the blade shifting around as it's form changed, it's side sharpening to an edge. Without anymore delay, Adular would launch himself forward with a lunge, he'd twirl around like a spinning top, holding onto the crystalline blade as he dashed ahead, bringing it down with a heavy, gravity assisted cleave aimed at Kira's neck. It would be noticeable that he had yet to stop examining her, looking closely at her and her movements to see how she would react. 50,867 PL sent to Maki in an untrained sword swipe.
Mortal or not, when it had came to decisions, it was a natural thing to hold onto one's own beliefs. Though those of the realm beyond the Kais, seemed to possess a habit of letting it cloud their judgment in ways that strayed them from an ideal path. There might have been similarities shared with others, but in the end, when it had came to their personalities, their behavior remained separate and distinguished until proven otherwise. Everyone here who was apart of this division had committed certain evils some can only hope to make amends from, should they continue choosing to live. But it wasn't going to be easy.
She found the look given to her by this Bijou, as a sign the things she had said were offensive, even if it were meant in response expected of conversation. What kind of life could he have led, if the things he heard said to him, was enough to cause him mild agitation? Her own memories throughout her existence had periods of isolation, but not enough to induce this behavior in her. Were those he knew just not allowed to speak? How could he not expect conversation?
Other mortals had proven a lack of communication as they grew older, made them incapable of talking. Had their minds remain in the earlier stage of their lives, rather than develop and progress. It was already growing to be a sorrowful sight to see such behavior, and his apparent preference for the lack of conversation, judging by his further expressions and her ignored questions, was proving to be something that brought on her own depiction of his life.
Perhaps in life he had been some sort of soldier, and thought himself as better than others. Felt no remorse for even striking at someone who talked without permission, and this arrogance was what had led to his death and place within this division. Though looking at his features more, he could have also been some kind of father that had taken vengeance for the death of his child. The evils he had done to do so, had also been great enough to put him here.
Though that didn't explain his lack of preference for not talking, like the first one. There could have been a mixture of both as well, but whatever evils he had done to land himself into a division, she had no doubts now that it wasn't a mistake. A lack of communication was a sign of being troubled that not even the other Kais couldn't be pushed away from. Some mortals would view it as unfair to be compared to gods, while others thought themselves better.
This one who knew not of her identity, and was within this division, might have just been more of the latter if he ever learned. She wasn't the strongest of the Kais by any means, but so many had been born and left their lives, that she wanted to be their hope that things wouldn't continue on like that.
"Well, whether you're willing to be the one to share or not, I will."
To fake a halo and a incorporeal body was something she was incapable of doing. The energy required to give off such an appearance would be not only exhausting, but too far out of line for her. She wanted to guide the souls in either divisions onto a greater path. Give the chance to gain the teachings that were normally meant for only Kais. A belief that the others had seemed to move on from, long before she had even come into existence.
This unwillingness he had and taken for himself, would likely only bring him misfortune, continuing on. Being here, she could see the souls were truly meant to be punished for their evil deeds. It was a question of how long it'd take for new and old souls to go mad, before someone like her could reach them.
"I'm a Saiyan hybrid, though more attuned to my human side. The universe is changing, as the gods above have recently proven they're willing to reveal themselves. Souls are all capable of revival, and I encourage if you go back to living, you'd live a better life."
The mixed heritage, but being more Earthling dominant, was what she had came up with to explain her current power. So many of the Saiyans had gotten together with other beings, it wasn't uncommon to have some kind of mix. This warning was the only thing she could give to help him believe that things could change for himself. And being able to tell him so, brought her to thinking about how she'd explain her well wishes to those who were in heaven.
At the moment it was fine to be untrained, but she was going to have to learn two different styles to distinguish her false namesakes. Three would have been ideal, though the efforts in doing so took time, and she wasn't so sure how much the universe could really go on, without the intervention of her kind.
The Bijou had repeated her current false name, a play on the word killer, according to some mortals, though an existent name nonetheless. Other than giving them false names and revealing to them different styles, there would be no distinction between the two one way or another. Although she had hopes that her visit to heaven and talk with a soul, would fare better than what she had seemed to gotten herself into. A spar with a mortal, could prove to be costly.
Even though she was a God of Creation, she could still be injured like anyone else. Having to go into a period of recovery wasn't certainly going to be ideal, although could possibly make her more sympathetic when she had taken her trip up above. More so than her current appearance, where her face held the slightest of bruises, and a gaze that was out of place for someone in this realm. Heaven and her own planet was truly the better of where she belonged.
"One of my reasons exactly I wish to see you make the first move."
The Bijou had been quick to make rather violent talk, reminding her of where she was, more than being down here was being too. What warmth was down here was already starting to grasp and settle onto her body, as she watched the man form a blade of crystal, further proving her belief he was a Bijou was correct.
Ki was focused into and around her hands, appearing in a purple glow, as she countered his strike with several of her own. With how his had been much weaker, it was easy, though painful to send the blade away a few inches, then striking it completely. Small shockwaves were created that were meant to slightly push him here and there, and it was only after a few strikes did she continue and struck at his body. More and more to give off that vibe that she was truly going to take this spar of theirs seriously, and what she knew he would feel, as the shockwaves grew enough to push him far back and away.
Her hands were in pain, and her own strikes against him had been as untrained as his was. Although when doing it in such rapid succession, the usual focus was doing better, was it not? She had put about 25% of her own power into those blows, and had yet to finish as well, aiming hand after hand at him, to send further shockwaves with her movements. He had more power than her, and Bijous were known for being able to sustain quite the blows. This should be nothing.

Adular would continue his close examination, keeping his eyes stuck on her as he swung the blade down. His eyes suddenly bursting open upon seeing her counter his very own Akaal Blade. It wouldn't take much more then the force provided to shatter the sword, cracks forming and then separating, a shower of glittering dust and fragments floating away into the wind. Adular would be left with very little time to react however, his eyes darting around once again, now observing Maki as she began attacking with these blows of energy, it truly intrigued Adular, surprise and interest displayed on his face.
He wouldn't be left much time for surprise however, his arms already moving on their own, instinctively being raised to defend himself. Though to his shock, he would feel the pressure of Maki's strike break through to him, being pushed backwards as it hit, both his eyes and mouth opening in reflex. He'd attempt to defend against the strikes though would accomplish little with his guard already broken and thrown off. He'd try to block the attacks, though almost all would get through, and with each of the hits connecting his feet would drag across the ground, his body moving from the attack, clinging onto the ground as he tried to maintain his stance. "Brilliant... Brilliant!" He'd chuckle in-between small grunts, smiling despite the pain and the strikes getting through to him, "A technique that creates shockwaves, why haven't I seen this before?" His tone suddenly shifted, as if the evil and violence was dropped for amazement, albeit pained. Though it wouldn't be kept for long, his face quickly reverting back to it's regular steeled expression as the pain of her attacks set in, his grunting audible as he tried to block the attacks, though with minimal success.
Though, suddenly, he'd swing himself backwards, dodging one of Maki's blows as he quickly threw his hand to the side. Light would drain out just as it did before, the air hazing and the blade of crystal forming. He'd waste no time with elegance or flashy moves, instead crouching down and lunging forward, throwing his body against the shockwaves and preparing to plunge the blade directly into Maki's palm. Aiming to jab straight through it, "Heads up Kira! You'll want to dodge this!" He'd shout out the announcement, giving a small maniacal chuckle as well as a toothy grin, "AKAAL BLADE!" Someone new to the world of fighting was going to find it difficult, facing off against those with experience. Those with knowledge knew more, and to be actively applying it, could fix any beginning failures over time. The same had gone for anything else that could have considered to be a hobby.
There were things that would need application, and there was no wrong in being new to something. Those already capable hadn't started out that way, and equal footing was something easily found, if one had tried to enter this new world of art. At least, that was her understanding of the mortal world.
Things like what being they were though, could make it easier for them to survive a fight they didn't mean to cause. She thought back to how her being a God of Creation gave her a bit of a slight advantage, and knew from her studies that Bijous also held one. No matter how much damage she might be able to inflict upon this man, his greater ability to endure blows would keep him at a greater advantage. Caution would need to be taken to last against him.
Mortals tended to expect winning their matches, and by the warning he had already given, it was possible she could die, if he wasn't like those mortals who meant those things as encouragement. Behavior that couldn't be pinpointed without having already known what they were like. And with this Bijou's insistence with holding no conversation at all, she found herself frowning now and again, while sympathizing the idea of what life he might have actually lived.
The pain coming from her hands as she struck her blows, had started off slightly as first. What she connected against his own strikes had been quick enough to feel the bare minimum of things, yet didn't fail in having her also feel that stone material that this kind was known for having. The durability was quite something that seemed as if striking against it repeatedly, would do nothing to its exterior. So much power, likely had to be summoned to even harm someone like this. Though she supposed it also helped that they had a gap in power. Even untrained he was well above her with that kind of advantage.
But time and opportunity made a difference here. She cared more about immobilizing and exhausting this man, than she did with winning this spar. Nothing but the experience could be gained from this for her, had she really been the type to care for such things. When they finished up here in the first place, there might have been more souls down here that she could greet, knowing the battle in West City was likely to wrap up, and its winner determined.
Somehow, her own blows had gotten through the bladed sword enough to crack and turn it into nothing, but by then, the pain in her hands she could feel had been even greater than what it once was. Quick and light strikes had become harder as her shockwaves built up, at the cost of pain that had her wonder how long it'd take to go away. Fighting was nothing new to her, but there were certainly improvements that could have been made. Someone who could train her.
The expressions of the Bijou were changing in ways that held the kind of spirit, which repeatedly continued to have her question just what the souls down here must have truly been like, to be able to be so enthralled. There were moments they showed so much humanity, the only thing reminding her of what division she was in, were their own surroundings and the heat that was building up on her body. As a God of Creation, her own transformations could easily be mistaken for an earthling's, as there was nothing truly wild beyond the aura of her ki flaring, and her own expressions growing even more serious.
She was happy though, no matter how she looked right now. There was quite displeasure here and there, both at her own pain, along with the Bijou's own insistence, but it still amounted to be something which could be overlooked. Strength wasn't everything, but she truly believed it showed character.
The Bijou hadn't replied to her warning, possibly too absorbed in what they were doing to really respond, though she supposed it was to be expected. With how they were moving, muscles would ache and tighten more than it would at something much more light-hearted, like what she had before her promotion.
She would need to keep reminding herself the souls here weren't likely to offer such things, and at best, a lot of the conversation she could have would be with the Onis. They weren't doing anything alarming, and neither of their powers combined were great enough to breach the barrier back to the living realm.
But it still managed to be astounding, to face off in this way with a stranger she didn't know of. Left her wonder and guess what his actions might have been. She was only thankful he didn't seem to be offended by what she had further said to him, knowing how much emotions could be an influence.
"You'd think so, wouldn't you?"
It was moments before he had came at her with another bladed crystal, did she decide it would be opportune to split up her power. Her form would glow in the same purple as her hand had struck with, her body blurring as she had split into two, before being completely struck by the newly formed weapon of his.
There was so much pain coming at her at once, yet a small part of her mind, who was also linked to her, was able to recognize what she had wanted to seize. The Bijou would find himself trying to be struck again, at first with further light shockwaves, and then a more stronger version of her earlier attack.
All of the attacks that were coming at him, he would be only capable of dodging so much. Even if it was just one more strike, it would be another that would harm him and put this spar of theirs on the road to its end. Exhaustion was what she'd like to try inducing, to the best of her ability with this power.
She could only hope it'd work.

The power behind each strike is 100% of the Kai's power, and they noticeably are giving it their all.
Adular's mind would race, not in fear, not in any form of concentration, no, but in happiness. This was exactly what he needed, and his face perfectly reflected his emotions, a maniacal smile with eyes lit up, shining like polished rubies. He truly was awestruck, not that this combatant was stronger by any means, no, it was quite the opposite, but she was just so... Interesting! His grin would widen as his blade pierced into Maki, letting out a small chuckle as it did, "I warned you, didn't I?"
Though all at once, his body would freeze up, noticing that this combatant, Kira, she managed to split herself into two. He would have trouble containing his honest excitement upon seeing such a technique being unveiled, his lips opening all on their own, "No way!" He'd smile, his face lighting up as he saw the technique unfold. His eyes would dart around as he observed Kira splitting, noticing how he only impacted one of the two newly formed clones while the other skidded away. He'd turn his view to the one who remained untouched, though kept a close eye on the one who he had struck.
Upon noticing the clone launch a barrage of shockwaves, he'd instinctively brace himself, his feet locking against the ground as he pushed himself against the force. Once again, his eyes would dart around, now seeing the same attack that struck him before being delivered once again, this time with even greater force. His eyes would express shock, though quickly his face would revert to a more calm, entertained expression, "You shouldn't expect that trick..."
Suddenly, his body would twist around to meet the clone, his legs moving while remaining braced against the ground. A smile would slip onto Adular's face as he lifted his hand, it meeting Maki's strike and dampening the strike to no more than a slight outwards expelled wave of force.
"...To keep on working." Adular's face would now bare a full-blown grin, his hand grasping onto Maki's own and keeping it immobilized. Though, spontaneously, Adular would lighten up, "You know, it's funny, I never want to stop fights but really, you've just got me filled with questions." He'd suddenly drop his grasp on Maki's hand, his arms drooping to the ground and his guard being lowered, "Of course, I'm not trying to completely stop this wonderful match of sparring, but, I guess you could say I'm calling for a tiny break?" He'd shrug.
"And, just so you know, strike me now and I will behead you. That is no empty threat." Adular's voice was lined with a serious tone that reeked violence, though just as quickly as it got serious, it'd jump back up to light-hearted, "So, those techniques, they're truly amazing, did someone teach you to do that?.. I-I don't want to be so forward, but would you be able to tell me how to do that? It's just, so amazing!" He'd smile, his eyes closing for a second, his entire demeanor suddenly shifting to something more childlike, "You honestly are something else, and I mean that in the best of ways, I've never seen someone preform the things you just did and well, if I'm being completely honest, I'm just a little awe-struck."
He'd pause for a second, placing his hand on his chin, seemingly trying to recall something, "And, I was trying to blur you out then, but didn't you say there was some sort of way to revive, escape from hell? Because I don't believe it needs to be said, but I'm all for not staying in here." But it also revealed so many things she wouldn't have been normally been exposed to. Supposedly, mortals liked to use a situation they called the "face of danger" which understandably was meant for a feeling of unease, by something so obvious to the person, or at the very least, was perceived that way.
Being down here with this Bijou, she could say that belief had fit, even if she hadn't truly felt unease as of yet. A God of Creation, and most certainly a Kai, was expected to brave against the unknown, using their power to do what they could to accomplish it. Fear wasn't something that was meant for her.
And truly, the more this gem had shown behavior an earthling would have likely cowered from, the more she was starting to see how things really were down here. He had no reason at all to act so false towards her, and the onis who were protecting this place, had not been aware of her presence prior.
There was no reason for them to test her, if this man was somehow no more than actor meant to guide her. He really did and could have the potential to end her life if she truly wasn't careful, or had decided to give in. But different beings having different talents, played so much of a role in that.
The strikes that she had already dealt to him, she could tell by his recovery, that it didn't deal as much damage as she would have, if they were of similar power. His own natural defenses had made that to be a possibility, and she had no doubts that it was serving him quite well in this fight.
The blade that he had used to strike her had been painful, but nothing that would have been enough to just stop her from fighting. His own confidence was expected, and what she had knew from Kai school, that mortals tended to have an abundance of. But it was different to see it so up close in this way.
He seemed to hold no sympathy for the bruises this form already had on its face either. This division might have been said to be something those who committed evil had ended up at, though she held onto the hope that there was a soul somewhere down here, who truly regretted what they had done.
She supposed Kira was meant to be that kind of soul, going off of what she had came up with for this form, but there was certain bias to believing such. Experience was what she had needed the most as a new Kai, and it was her own decision to decide where she could get that knowledge. She was more than capable of forming the kind of opportunities needed for such a thing. There was so much out there to have practice of, and actually go for.
Her own blows towards the man had managed to strike, although the one which had been sent by her copy had seemed to have been blocked completely. It's own pain might not have been sent towards her to feel, but she was well aware of how powerful that block had been, and the kind of pain she would have experienced. It was an action that caused her copy to distance itself, as they both listened to the confidence this Bijou had really had to him.
She might have had the hope that it would have worked, especially if she had gone for the same technique as well, though things often didn't appear to be what they had seem. She was already aware of this one's defenses, yet like her own appearance, that had only fueled what she knew was an ego.
"You say that as if doing so would be easy like this."
Her copy wasn't injured in the same way as she was, clutching the spot that she had been targeted at, where blood had already started to form. Some had leaked from her mouth as well, introducing her to the taste of what could actually be considered as similar to rust. Even for a God of Creation like her, blood vessels still managed to easily be struck, and she had taken the full blow of that attack. Though it wouldn't be enough to kill her.
That copy was more exhausted than she was, having launched that kind of technique, and that fatigue was something she was able to sense within herself. They were connected after all. It would be good to listen for as long as they could for it to regain back the kind of stamina that it had needed to fight again.
He had showed off more of what she believed was safe to call mood swings as he gave that warning. One which she would have no choice but to heed at the moment. Her departure from this division would come as she saw it fit, knowing that she had the innate power to leave when she had wished.
It was an odd thing to hear so much chatter coming from the Bijou, knowing that she had tried to stir on conversation earlier. Even while knowing the reason for this change, she would still say it was quite certain this truly wasn't the best place for her to have been, or the right soul for her to be around.
"Hm? I'm untrained in any style. I've seen others who are capable as well, but mimicking them wasn't difficult."
Her split form must have been what he was praising, though her response wasn't at all a lie. All she had needed to do was watch and have the technique explained to her, while she was training for the position that she now held. There were mortals who were capable of doing so as well, but it was rare.
Something as positive as praise was meant to be comforting, although she really felt no such thing around someone like this, and around these kind of conditions. The reason might have been knowing and accepting just where she was, and the souls that had resided down here, but she would need to think about it when she had made her departure back towards her own planet. At the moment, all she could really do was provide what information she could.
"It's possible, yes. Though it's been said one of the last two who had escaped, did so in three days, which was not at all the amount of time he should have served. I'm unsure of how long they expect a soul to stick around, but it's certainly going to take more than one try."
In truth, she actually did have some form of an idea on how difficult leaving the afterlife was. Repeated deaths would make the barrier for one's soul, more difficult to break out of, up to a certain extent. But souls reincarnating into a new body and forming a new life, or retaining their original, was a natural part of balance within this realm. Though the knowledge of it was nothing new after several generations she wasn't around for, and warriors that had taken it upon themselves to retain their original bodies, the balance between who knew and who didn't had fixed itself without any real interference.
If a soul hadn't wanted to stay here as themselves, they were always offered a chance to have their memories wiped and live differently. That former Northern Kai before her existence, had proven as much, having read and observed what he had seemed to experience. A mortal wasn't much different.
Some just had more good lives than others.

Adular would continue staring at Maki, in truth, he honestly was quite interested in what she had to say, although twinges of visible disappointment and frustration would be visible upon his face when he heard her finish speaking. Clearly disappointed with her response, he'd pause, crossing his arms and tapping his fingers onto his biceps as he took a quick exhale and his eyes moved around, collecting himself and finding his words, "You say it's possible to escape, but, you're not saying how to." He'd take a deep breath, lowering his eyebrows and sighing out, his tone shifting to mild frustration, "Here I thought you'd know how to get out of this prison." His demeanor would shift once again as he rolled his eyes, now seeming more neutral than anything, "Whatever, I suppose I'll just have to find my way out."
Adular quickly glanced away from Maki for a second, though just as quickly as it'd divert, his gaze would return, "Regardless, you said you've copied someone else? Without having it be taught?" His tone of voice would sound almost impressed, though he seemed more to just be amused, "Doesn't help me at all, but it's certainly interesting, mimicking techniques." He'd chuckle to himself, smiling very slightly as he put his hands in his pockets.
He'd pause, thinking to himself for a moment before talking, "Huhmph, to be completely honest, I expected more from this talk... But, well, I do have one more question." He'd pause, looking into Maki's eyes, "What are you, perhaps I'm being unobservant, hell, maybe prying even, but you certainly don't seem to belong in hell, unless, you're a lot more evil then meets the eye." He'd smile, his expression showing a little bit of his malignant nature, "But frankly, from what I'm seeing with your attitude and your power, well, I don't know what to think... So honestly, what are you?" His smile would shift to a frown, "Some sort of secret mass murderer? Possibly an assassin? A devil?" He'd pause, removing his hands from his pockets and moving them to his sides, "Well, I guess it doesn't make much a difference in knowing, but there's definitely some reason why you're here." Adular would stop, looking at Maki and pausing shortly to see if she would speak.
Adular would shrug, "Anyways, I've got my questions out of the way, now, shall we return to what we were doing?" He'd smile, holding his hand out as another blade of crystal began forming in his hand, stretching out with geodes of gems spreading on top of each other, soon taking shape. (Two can play at that game!) (Kidding, just adding another max stamina.)
This was what seemed to be the fault of some mortals.
Presented with the idea that something was a possibility, but rather than just accept it, they sought further knowledge. To do so wasn't a bad thing, under the assumption that it had meant well. Something which she wouldn't have considered this man to have followed, just listening to his disappointment.
Mortals had only ever been beings she had observed from her own planet, or had read up about, and from that knowledge she knew enough about certain beliefs and sayings that they held. The kind of thoughts they might have referred each other as, in a way which would have been seen as negative, it was through these moments that she could understand what they had meant. Things just clicked into place, and she knew that her visit here wasn't truly pleasant.
This soul had a certain air around him which other mortals might have described as demanding. Perhaps accuse him of being the type of person who expected things to be handed out to him, without having to work for it. His approach could have been so different if he hadn't been so accepting that she wasn't aware of anything. Like some things about herself earlier, there was no curiosity to where it had truly mattered, and he was quick to move on.
"What reason is there, would you believe I would? My familiarity of this place, only extends to watching the others around here go."
She had thought about not saying anything at all to this quick acceptance, but as a God of Creation, she was meant to give and be an example for which a soul could have been given the chance to change their path. It was likely she was to leave from here early however, knowing the thoughts of this man were preoccupied in places that she didn't care for herself. She wasn't yet meant to fight, and this was supposed to be nothing more than an experience.
There were few reasons to stick around here, more than she had deemed it to be necessary, and only Nareli or an outbreak, could have been a reason as to why she might choose to. But this spar of theirs could only go so far with the Bijou's superior defenses. An equal level or a higher one, would be needed to overcome it. The pain that she had felt from taking a blow for one which didn't pay off, persisted as a feeling to remind her that it had still existed.
She wouldn't have been able to move all too much, and with how quick he was to change face, she doubted she could have really bought what time was needed, for this pain to subside. The thought of even doing any further attacks at all, seemed like it would have been an unwise decision, but one that wasn't left to her. This might have very well been the lack of control that the others had experienced and felt, seeing things go somewhere they hadn't expect.
"Most would simply chalk it up to be genetics."
What she had told him might have been unusual, but there were mortals who would have also used that as a reason for their talent. Being a mix of those who were already strong and capable, which finding someone as capable like their parents, would have also produced the same, or even better results.
She wouldn't think too much of his remarks, knowing he didn't seem to be the type to put too much thought into things, or became aware a little too late. She would likely be the cause of further questions when she had decided to take her leave here, but that would be no concern of hers for awhile.
To come back here again, after being down here for as long as she already had, the likelihood of that was low. This place took up energy that she just didn't have, and it was meant to be this way. She didn't belong down here with the souls who were meant to suffer for the wrongs they had committed.
"I've already said earlier that I was a Saiyan/Human hybrid."
It wasn't what he had meant with the question, and she hadn't at all been defensive with her tone. But staring back at him, she did want him to believe that these thoughts of his, could have been seen as nothing more than fantasies. Hope that he likely wouldn't continue to have, the more he stayed down here.
There was again, no start on his end, for the return of this spar. Her wound was still painful, but she hadn't really need to move first, knowing that her copy would do so itself. The one less injured, yet more tired than she was at the moment. It started out once more with those strikes he should have been familiar with by now, intent on aiming at him, while being so close to contact, than something which would have required the use of more energy.
But this had lacked the purple glow around those hands, as it wasn't meant to shatter through what couldn't be broken with lesser power. And while that had persisted, she had stopped clutching her wound, moving back as the light smell of blood had drifted into the air. She began first by holding out her arms.
Then, more immediate than what could have possibly been expected, a rather large ball of ki had begun to form, which was shot in conjunction with the movements of her copy. With his larger power, he was still more than capable of avoiding the weaker of the attacks, or even the strongest.
But it would have been unwise to assume that things would have been over just like that. While she had kept herself prepared to move out of the way if need be, her hands were gathering another of this ball of energy, ready to pour power into it which made it much more likely for him to avoid attacks.
He was likely to still be capable of blocking it, but if she could have gathered enough energy, there would be an extent to just how far he could manage to do so. It was unlikely he would have allowed that to happen, but the more time had passed here as a sort of entertainer, the more likely she would finish.
There was no need to hope for much else.

Adular would shake his head ever so slightly, closing his eyes as he smiled, continuing to point his Akaal Blade at Kira's neck. He'd chuckle a little, "I know that, whatever, I won't press it any further." Adular would cock his neck back a little, opening his eyes as he spoke out, his lips moving as his expression shifted to something between a frown, and a smirk of amusement, "Though, I really don't like how obvious it is you're evading my questions." He'd let out a quick exhale, his arms dropping down to his sides, though he continued to grip onto the Akaal Blade. Spontaneously, his eyes would shoot open as a maniac smile grew onto his face "I mean, I'll get a perfect way to vent soon enough."
Adular would move his neck around, a quick bursts of cracks sounding out as he stretched. Suddenly, Adular's smile would crack further open, his teeth bared while his expression displayed his bloodthirst. He would examine one of the copies of Kira, noticing the familiar purple glow that lined her hands, he'd let out a slightly amused chuckle, "That move again? Come on, amuse me." He'd continue to chuckle, suddenly throwing his leg back in a backwards lunge, throwing his arm up with the Akaal Blade still forward. Swiftly striking against her attacks with a flurry of swipes, throwing her strikes to the side while cutting into her skin, the sword beginning to break away as he struck at her.

As best as she could have done, she did what she could to reveal what they weren't meant to outright be told. For her to go and say any more than what she already had, wouldn't be guidance, but an answer to a solution mortals weren't meant to hear in the first place. This division was meant for bad souls, and even those who were good and in the upper ones, were meant to find their own way back to the mortal realm if they had wished to. Not to be told.
And even despite all of the things that she had already spoken of, this soul had still shown no real sign of change in his behavior. The way he held his blade had said as much, though she held no worry for any of his actions. She wasn't meant to die here, and especially not within this division.
His decision to pull the weapon back had changed nothing, as with or without his switch in expressions, she was nothing more than entertainment to him. On and on, he had went, telling her to show off a technique. She held not many, with her age being as young as it was, and too less power for him to ignore that. Should she continue to stay here, he'd come to realize it, far sooner than things were already proceeding. And was there any use in continuing to observe of him, knowing that? Though he asked her to show off her techniques, he didn't seem to hold much of any either, only striking and blocking.
Their gap in power was noticeable, and much too far for her to do more than hurt herself. Even this coming blade, which she simply stepped away, was something she would have otherwise been able to only take, creating more of a deeper wound than she had already caused for herself earlier.
Her copy had been unable to get through his defenses, encouraging her beliefs that they were only going back and forth, with herself being the object that he had wished to chase and keep moving. His expressions only seeming to grow more, and his demands of her also breaching past what she wished to share.
The commentary he gave, which she believed might have been intended to be positive, for someone of his nature, failed to do more than make her stop. Her copy would start to fade away and turn back into nothing more than energy that had gone back within her, returning what full power that she had.
The wound that she had suffered earlier, she was starting to feel less of its linger, but even if she hadn't taken that hit, nothing wouldn't have still changed. Weakness for a Kai, wasn't unusual, and were she to really base the strength of a soul within this division off of him, her concern would lie in possible behavior of those here. An unwillingness to do more than challenge others, remaining quiet and not entertaining any conversation.
There was only a change in behavior, and whatever hope had lied in that pride when it came to fighting, that had seemed to keep the weaker souls from leaving this division and back towards the mortal realm. She held no doubts that this must have been one of them, if this land was strange to him.
Kai. Kai.
There were no words that needed to be said towards this soul, as she had begun to walk away, speaking within her mind the words that would have brought her out of this division and back towards her own planet for recovery. Adular would let his devil-like smile wash over his face as he stared down the woman who stood before him. It was clearer and brighter than day, he had no cares for this Kira, not for their interests, not for their confusion. The only thing that seemed to bare any interests to him were her techniques, and the cryptic brushes of advice she gave. It was clear, more than ever before, she was a book to him, and when he couldn't keep reading, when he wasn't allowed to see and learn, he had gotten angry. Of course to him he had a reason, why drop these hints, these clues to not give a description on how to use them?
A small festering chuckle that'd soon boil into a laugh would echo from his mouth as he saw her combine herself back into one. His chortle reeked of evil and frustration, malice and annoyance. Once he had finished, he'd bring his hand up to wipe at his mouth, his grin only seeming larger after it had been removed. Slowly, Adular would let his hand drift to his side, taking a deep exhale out, “Well… Kira. I think I should start getting serious, shouldn't I? I’ve been merciful enough…” He'd snicker very loudly, his red eyes reflecting the sight of his soul, filled with bloodlust and hunger for war.
“I suppose you'll be safe, dying here just means you'll come back, wontcha? Well, I don't really know, but, you’ll figure it out soon enough.”
Adular would smile, suddenly shifting his pose as a blade of crystal formed in his hand, the same abyssal darkness forecasting it's creation. He would let out a mad howl, plunging the blade in the chest of the reformed Maki.
Or he would, if he didn't find his blade thrown through the phantasmal form of an afterimage.
Adular would look shook, shell shocked even, ‘what the-” ran through his head on repeat. She had disappeared, vanished into thin air, leaving Adular frozen in surprise.
A blur emanating from her Kai Kai, and she had vanished.
Adular would pause, lips pursed as he looked around the landscape of hell with a disoriented mentality. It'd take a moment before he said, or truly did anything but look around in a stupor. Finally, he would open his mouth, letting out a rather crude,
“What the hell?..”
He would remain motionless, before giving up on figuring out what had happened entirely. It no longer mattered now anyways. There was two correlated things that filled his mind now. Escaping hell, and Revenge. This encounter was a fair enough step in the right direction in realizing of the former.
